선체 변형에 의해 발생할 수 있는 베어링 손상을 최소화하기 위해서는 설계 단계에서 선체 변형을 고려한 축계 배치 해석이 이루어져야 한다. 선체 변형은 유한 요소법을 이용한 구조해석에 의한 방법과 측정 데이터를 이용한 역분석 방법으로 구할 수 있다. 이 연구에서는 측정에 의해 얻어진 베어링 반력과 축의 굽힘 모멘트를 이용하여 선체 변형을 구하는 방법에 대해 설명하고, 이를 4만6천톤급 석유/화학운반선에 적용하여 다른 운전 조건에 대한 베어링 옵셋 변화와 선체 변형량을 검토한다.

In this paper, a development of shaft power measuring system for a rotating machinery is discussed. It is important that the exact power measurement of marine engine since the engine power is related to ship's usage and its shaft design. The engine equipped on the ship is assumed to rotating machine which can generate mechanical power by electrical energy. Two gearwheel and magnetic sensors are applied to measure torsional angle on the shaft. High resolution encoder is also applied to compensate the output signal from gearwheel. The calculation of shaft power is executed using measured signal and angular velocity of rotating machine.

대형 저속 2행정기관을 탑재한 선박에서 축계배치와 관련된 선미측 후부 메인엔진 베어링의 손상이 증가하는 경향이 있다. 메인엔진을 포함한 선체는 최적화로 인하여 변형하기 쉬운 경향에 있고, 고출력을 요구하는 추진 축계는 이것과 반대의 경향을 가지므로 축계 배치 변화에 대한 감도가 높아져서 메인엔진 베어링의 손상이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 문제에 대한 대책으로 메인엔진 베어링을 포함한 보다 정확한 배치계산을 할 필요가 있다. 이 논문에서는 축계배치계산 고정도화의 일환으로 메인엔진 베어링 수가 베어링 반력에 미치는 영향에 대하여 검토한다.

최근 중동지방의 정세 불안과 원유 자원의 고갈로 인한 대체 지역으로 러시아 시베리아 유전이 각광을 받고 있임. 시베리아 유전 원유 수송이 파이프라인을 통해 발틱 연안에 위치한 프리모스크항 도달하여 해상을 통한 원유 수출이 증가함에 따라 ICE Class 대형 Tanker의 수요가 급격히 증가하고 있는 실정.

The emission of particulate matter from marine diesel engines is already restricted by regional regulations in some countries, and IMO has been preparing the regulation for particulate matter from 53rd MEPC. But confusingly, the gravimetric PM measurement methods and procedures are not established clearly yet. On the other hand, smoke measurement method is set clearly, and it can also indicate PM, though it is not direct gravimetric method. As the preparing step for regulations about PM, we measured the smote density of exhaust emission from the marine four-stroke diesel engines operated in constant speed and various load steps on the test-bed, using the filter-type smoke measuring instrument. As a result, we understood the omission characteristics of smoke from the engines. Additionally, to obtain the objective reliability of our measurement data, we carried out experimental studies about various measuring parameters that could affect the smoke density.

디젤엔진에서 배출되는 배기가스 중의 주요 오염물질 중의 하나인 NOx(질소산화물)는 대부분 고온의 연소 과정에서 발생하고, 발생량은 연소온도에 따라 결정되는 것으로 알려져 있다. 또한 연료의 연소 중에 물이 첨가되면 연소공기의 비열 증가에 의하여 연소온도가 감소하여 NOx 발생량이 급격하게 감소하게 되는데, 연소실에 물을 첨가하는 방법으로는 유화연료, 직접물분사, 흡기가습 등이 있다. 이중 흡기가습은 구조가 간단하면서 NOx 저감효율이 가장 높은 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구는 당사 고유모델 중형엔진인 힘센엔진에 흡기가습 기술을 적용하여 연소성능 및 NOx 저감효과 등을 시험하고, 흡기가습 시스템의 상용화 모델 개발을 위한 기초 데이터를 확보하기 위해 수행되었다.

The International Maritime Organization announced that the regulation of nitrogen oxide put into force for vessels constructed after 2000 from May, 2005 as agenda is satisfied on May, 2004. A honeycomb-typed Pillared Inter-Layered Clay(PILC) catalyst was developed for do-NOx SCR system in 2004. This catalyst has been applied to 9H25/33 engine that is one of the main diesel engines in Engine Machinery Division of the Hyundai Heavy Industries CO., LTD. In addition, we have tried to develop better catalysts in the aspects of easy synthetic method and performance.

최근 LNG 연료 시장의 호황에 힘입어 LNG선들이 점차 대형화 추세에 있고, LNG선의 추진 기관 또한 경제성, 환경 영향 등의 주어진 요구 환경에 따라 다양화 되고 있다. 기존의 Steam Turbine Propulsion 외에 Conventional 2-stroke Diesel Engine 및 Dual-fuel 4-stroke Diesel Engine of LNG선의 주 기관으로서 이미 상용화 되었고, 기술적/경제적인 이유로 일반 상선의 주기관으로서는 논외에 있었던 Gas Turbine 또한 일부 Oil Major와 Gas Turbine Maker에 의해 그 적용 가능성이 논의되고 있다. 이에 따라 LNG 선에 Gas Turbine 적용 타당성, 고려 사항 및 적용에 따른 이점과 단점 등을 고찰하였다.

나이모닉 일체형으로 사용되고 있는 선박용 2 행정 저속엔진의 배기밸브 스핀들을 고온, 고압, 배기가스 및 반복 충격 하중에 노출된 스핀들의 Head부분은 기존의 나이모닉 소재를 적용, 기존 재질의 우수한 성질을 유지하고 설계적으로 나이모닉 소재의 적용이 불필요한 Stem부는 오스텐나이트 계열의 SNCrW 소재를 사용하여 관성마찰 용접 방식으로 접합하여 제품을 제작하고, 접합부의 미세조직 관찰, 성분분석, 인장, 경도, 피로시험 등의 기계적, 금속적 특성평가를 통해 마찰용접제품에 대한 신뢰성을 확인하고 양산 생산을 위한 기술적 토대를 마련하였다.

본 논문은 중형엔진 조립과정에서 실린더 프레임 회전 작업에 사용하는 지그의 구조해석을 수행한 후, 지그의 안전성을 검토하고 지그의 경량화를 통하여 실용적인 지그 설계안을 제안하였다. 현장 작업자가 들 수 있는 최대 무게를 넘는 지그를 구조해석 모델로 선정한 후, 해석모델은 지그, 실린더 프레임, 볼트, 너트, 샤클 핀을 3차원 입체요소로 구성하고 ABAQUS/Standard를 사용하여 재료 비선형 및 접촉을 고려한 구조해석을 수행하였다. 구조최적화를 위하여 응력이 상대적으로 낮은 부위와 작업성을 고려하여 설계변수를 선정하고, 실험계획법의 직교배열표를 활용하여 설계변수에 대한 각 부위의 민감도와 경량화 모델을 도출하였다.

In this study, a prototype piezo-driven Injector. as a new method driven by piezoelectric energy, has been designed and fabricated based on the concept of inverse piezo-electric effect to overcome the major drawbacks of conventional solenoid-driven injector with a fixed and slow control of injection rate. The effects of an electric control between the solenoid valve and piezo-ceramic stack for injector needle's driving on the dynamic characteristics were usually investigated. We found that this piezo-electric actuator has the main advantage to drastically reducing the time of injector nozzle opening, as well to exert higher force output levels.

This study is mainly concerned with vibration control of L-type reciprocating air compressor by a dynamic vibration absorber. The dynamic vibration absorber of reciprocating air compressor was designed for constant revolution running condition. For the review, Vibration test was conducted for the performance appraisal of installed dynamic vibration absorber in the reciprocating air compressor. As a result of the test, the performance of dynamic vibration absorber was satisfactory.

저속 2행정 디젤엔진의 대형화 및 고출력화에 따라 피스톤링 및 실린더라이너 등은 보다 가혹한 마찰/마모 조건에 노출되고 있으며 비정상적인 마찰/마모 등 윤활 관련 문제가 빈번하게 발생되고 있다. 이러한 마모 문제를 해결하기 위해 윤활 설계 개선, 윤활유 성능 개선, 마모 메카니즘 규명 등의 다양한 관점에서 대책안들이 연구되어 제시되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 실린더라이너의 이상 마모 현상 등을 방지하기 위한 윤활 및 마모 모니터링 기술 동향에 대해 살펴보고 윤활유 모니터링 시스템 개발 사례에 대해 소개 하고자 한다.

Diesel power plant(DPP) with the medium speed diesel engine is operated under the very severe condition in aspect of load and operating time as compared with the marine diesel generator set. So, minimized vibration level have to be insured for the more stable operation of engine and generator. The vibration of generator set mainly comes from the resonance between the rigid modes by resilient mount or distortion modes by structural stiffness and the excitation forces of engine. Then, avoidance of resonance with structural modification is generally well known. In this paper, the first order vibration in non-resonance range and local vibration modes were investigated by impact test, response/ODS(operational deflection shape) measurement and 3D finite element analysis for the additional reduction of vibration. The proposed countermeasures were actually applied and their final effects were verified through the in-situ measurement.

A study on the combustion characteristics by using Emulsion Fuel in Diesel Engine is performed experimentally. In this paper, the experiments are performed at engine speed 1800rpm, emulsion fuel ratio is 0%, 10%, 20%, and main measured items are specific fuel consumption, pressure, ratio of pressure rise, rate of heat release etc. The obtained conclusions are as follows. 1) Specific fuel consumption increase maximum 19.8% at low load, but is not effected at full load. 2) Ratio of pressure rise and rate of heat release are about the same in the case of 10% and 20% of emulsion fuel ratio. 3) Cylinder Pressure increase 11.7%, ratio of pressure rise increase 60.4% in case of emulsion fuel ratio 20% at full load. 4) Rate of heat release increase 76.9% in case of emulsion fuel ratio 20% at full load.

Generally almost all fatigue crack growth is affected by model. For this reason a study on model has concentrated in the field of fracture mechanics. However the fatigue crack initiation and growth in machines and structures usually occur in mixed mode loading. If there is any relationship between the cause of fracture in mixed mode loading and fracture surface, fracture surface pattern will be the main mean explaining reasons of fatigue fracture and obtaining further information about fracture process. In this paper four point shear-fatigue test with Aluminum alloy Al 5083-O is carried out from this prospect and then the mixed mode distribution of fracture surface is examined from the result after identifying the generation of fatigue crack surface pattern. It was found from the experimental results that the fatigue crack surface pattern and the fatigue crack shear direction are remarkably consistent. Furthermore It is possible that the analysis of distribution of mixed mode through the fatigue crack surface pattern.

Experimental and numerical analysis on the heat transfer behaviors and the associated frictional loss in a rectangular channel with two inclined perforated baffles(
$\;5^{\circ}$ ) mounted on the bottom plate has been systematically performed. The parametric effects of perforated baffles (3, 6, 9 holes) and flow Reynolds number on heat transfer characteristics of the heated target surface are explored. A combination of two baffles of same overall size was considered and the flow Reynolds number for this study is varied between 28,900 and 61,800. Comparisons of the experimental data with the numerical results by commercial code CFX 5.7 are made. As for the investigation of heat transfer behaviors on local Nusselt number with the two baffles installed at$x/D_h=0.8\;and\;x/D_h=8.0$ , it is evident that there exist an optimum perforation density to maximize heat transfer coefficients; i.e., the maximum Nusselt number decreases with increasing number of holes. -
This study experimented to observe an influence of experimental conditions on production characteristics of slurry ice by putting ball into test section to disturb ice adhesion. And at this experiment it used ethylene glycol-water solution and the concentration is 20wt%. The experimental apparatus was constructed of ethylene glycol-water solution and slurry ice storage tank, brine tank. pumps for ethylene glycol-water solution and brine circulating, a mass flow-meter, data logger for fluid temperature measuring and a vertical circular tube with two copper tubes as test section. The experiments were carried out under various conditions, with mean velocity of fluid at the entry ranging from 0.07 to 0.13m/s and ball diameter is 10mm, 15mm. Also ball filling rate is 33%, 50%.

This study was progressed on the freezing behavior of waste water in relation to freeze concentration method useful to waste water treatment system of small and middle size and which can re-use purified water. The object of this experiment is comparing a pollutant contain of the frozen layer and of an aqueous solution by cooling wall temperature, a flow field effect and a initial thickness of frozen layer.

Experimental analyses on the Hydroelastic Flow-Structure Interactions on pulsed impinged jet is measured with the FSIMS(Flow-Structure Interaction Measurement System. The nozzle diameter is D=15mm and two major experiments have been carried out for the cases of the distance between the nozzle tip to the elastic wall is 6.0. The pulsed jets were controlled by a solenoid valve and were impinged onto an elastic plate (material: silicon, diameter: 350mm, thickness: 0.5mm, hardness: 15). The Reynolds numbers were 20,000 and 24,000 when the jets were impinged with the volume velocities. The results showed that the elastic plate moved slightly to the opposite direction of the jet direction at the time of valve opening. It has been shown that the vortices travelling over the surface of the wall made the elastic wall distorted locally due to a vector forces between rotating forces of the vortex and a newly-incoming flow.

냉매 충전량과 이차유체의 입구조건은
$CO_2$ 용 열펌프시스템의 성능실험에서 중요한 제어변수이다. 따라서, 열펌프사이클의 적용과 난방성능 향상을 위해 제어변수의 특성을 조사하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서,$CO_2$ 용 열펌프 사이클의 성능 실험은 여러 가지 냉매 충전량에서 이차유체 입구조건에 변화를 주어 수행 되었다. 실험결과, 난방COP는 냉매 충전량이 증가함에 따라 1158g의 냉매 충전량에서 최대가 되었다가 감소하는 경향이 나타나며, 이는 COP가 최대가 되는 냉매충전량이 존재함을 나타낸다. 또한, 난방성능은 가스쿨러내 이차유체의 질량유량의 증가에 따라 증가하였다. 가스냉각기내 2차유체의 입구은도가$10^{\circ}C$ 에서$40^{\circ}C$ 로 증가하면, 난방용량, 압축일량, 토출압력은 각각 -8.57%, -35.89%, 32.78%로 변화했으며, 증발기 2차유체의 입구 온도가 감소하였을 때 난방COP는 감소하는 경향을 보였다. -
Pumps have been widely used for transporting fluid in most of the merchant ships. However, the present status of using pumps for marine vessels has not been studied. This paper is to classify and analyze pumps installed in many ships(LNGC, Oil Tanker, Bulk, Container, Training ship). Finally, Pumps installed in the training ships are compared with merchant ships about the present status of using pumps.

Some useful flow regime data are obtained from the experiments using the flight producing hyper-gravity(2g) conditions and on ground(1g) with the identical flow conditions. The flow regime data obtained at 1g and 2g conditions are compared with new dimensionless flow regime map using Fr, Bo and We number related with gravity, surface tension and inertia force.

The suppression of fluid force acting on a square prism near plane wall was studied by attaching fences on the comers of the prism. The height of the fence was 10% of the square width and the range of Reynolds number considered was
$Re=2.0{\times}10^4$ . The experimental parameters were the attaching position and numbers of fences, the space ratios$G/B(G/B=0.1{\sim}1.2)$ between prism and plane wall. The average drag coefficients were increased and the average hit coefficients were decreased and increased with the space ratios foulard plane wall. The drag of the prism was reduced average 7.6% with the space ratios by attaching the normal fence at the rear and upper comer and the horizontal normal fence at the rear and lower corner on the prism. -
Chracteristics on evaporating pressure drop of HCs refrigerants inside a horizontal tube were studied experimentally. Experimental results were presented for pressure drops of hydrocarbon refrigerants R-290, R-600a, R-1270 and HCFC refrigerant R-22 inside a horizontal double pipe heat exchanger. Three tubes with a tube diameter of 12.70mm, 9.52mm and 6.35mm were used for this study. Hydrocarbon refrigerants showed higher evaporating pressure drop than that of R-22 in all tubes. The highest pressure drop was founded in R-600a. The highest evaporating perssure drop of all refrigerants was shown in a tube diameter of 6.35mm with same mass flux. The results can be used as the basic data for the design of heat exchanger using hydrocarbon refrigerants as an alternatives.

As industrial technology recently, a field of marine engineering is demanding integration and manless system. In this study, tank monitoring system is developed, which is able to watch real-time the marine tank for measuring a level, pressure, temperature. The system will provide efficiently measuring data for operator.

This study suggests a precision flow control system that enables fluid injection of a few grams at a time in a few ms time duration. The fluid injection system suggested here consists of a high pressure fluid pump, a 3 way 3 position directional control valve, an injector and an orifice. The orifice is located between the directional control valve and the injector. By supplying current signal to the directional control valve, the prescribed small amount of fluid can be supplied to a plant through the injector. The control robustness of the suggested system against the disturbances like the pressure change in a plant and the viscosity variation of the injected fluid is secured easily by using an orifice with very small inside diameter and setting the supply pressure with comparatively high value. The control performances of the suggested system are verified by numerical simulations and experiments. The outcomes of this research could be applied to the common rail injection control of lubrication oil for large size marine diesel engines, and other industrial plants.

The arrester's condition is related directly to protected equipment's safety. The most important is, therefore, arrester aging diagnosis. In this study, arrester aging diagnosis expert system is implemented to use JESS shell-engine and the leakage current detection technique.

This paper introduces the results of the development of a new mobile Digital DC-arc Welding Machine (DDWM). A simple PI controller is applied to the DDWM to control the output welding current tracking the constant setting current. Furthermore, a hot-start function, an anti-stuck function, a standby mode and an intelligential circuit breaker (ICB) are included in the DDWM. The DDWM increases welding quality and saves more power energy than a conventional welding machine. Because the DDWM is changed from ready mode into the standby mode automatically after 2 minutes interval from this unload start. Then the DDWM is changed into ready mode automatically since it is reused to weld. Mover, the DDWM increases welding qualify, productivity and reduces costs of welding. So, the DDWM can have a great of contribution to the mobile welding industries. The effectiveness of the DDWM was proven by the experimental results and durable test.

A mixed method between
$H_2\;and\;H_{\infty}$ control are widely applied to systems which has parameter perturbation and uncertain model to obtain an optimal robust controller. Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motors are widely used for high performance control applications. Conventional PID controller only provides satisfactory performance for set-point regulation. However, with the presence of nonlinearities, uncertainties and perturbations in the system, conventional PID is not sufficient to achieve an optimal robust controller. This paper presents an approach to ease designing a Mixed$H_2/H_{\infty}$ PID controller for controlling speed of Brushless DC motors and the genetic algorithm is used to solve the optimized problems. Numerical results are shown to prove that the performance in the proposed controller is better than that in the optimal PID controller using LQR approach. -
Simulation and physical implementation are both valuable tools in evaluating sensor network routing protocols, but neither alone is sufficient. In this paper, we present the implementation and analysis of sensor routing protocols on the discrete-event simulation system that allows existing nesC codes of sensor network routing protocols to be used to create a physical implementation of the same protocol. We have evaluated the Surge function of TinyOS through example implementations in the Ptolemy II of the unmodified codes and Direct-diffusion routing protocols using VIPTOS simulation models.

크랭크 샤프트 디플렉션 측정은 선박엔진의 조립공정에 있어, 크랭크 샤프트를 조립 시 1회전의 상태에서 크랭크 스루 간의 디플렉션 상대값의 변화를 확인하는 것이다. 이를 통하여 크랭크 샤프트가 정상 조립되었는지 확인할 수 있다. 기 개발 완료한 구형 무선 크랭크 샤프트 디플렉션 측정장치(상품명 : Measutal)는 측정장치의 길이로 인해 선박용 엔진 중 저속 엔진에만 적용 가능하였다. 하지만 중속엔진의 경우 공간이 협소하여 크랭크 샤프트 디플렉션 측정이 어려우며, 이는 폭정 오차를 수반하게 된다. 본 논문은 상기 문제를 해결하기 위해 중속에도 적용 가능한 신 모델의 개발에 관한 것이다. 또한 개발된 신 모델은 소비자의 요구를 만족하기 위해 구 모델에 비하여 밧데리 지속시간 향상되었고 무선 통신 거리가 확대되었다.

In this paper, a nonlinear controller based on adaptive sliding-mode method which has a sliding surface vector including new boundary function is proposed and applied to a two-wheeled voiding mobile robot (WMR). This controller makes the welding point of WMR achieve tracking a reference point which is moving on a smooth curved welding path with a desired constant velocity. The mobile robot is considered in view of a kinematic model and a dynamic model in Cartesian coordinates. The proposed controller can overcome uncertainties and external disturbances by adaptive sliding-mode technique. To design the controller, the tracking error vector is defined, and then the new sliding is proposed to guarantee that the error vector converges to zero asymptotically. The stability of the dynamic system will be shown through the Lyapunov method. The simulations is shown to prove the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

In this paper, tuning rules of the PID controller for load disturbance rejection are proposed incorporating with real-coded genetic algorithms(RCGAs). The optimal parameters sets of the PID controller are obtained based on a first-order plus time delay model and a RCGA. As for assessing the performance of the controller, criteria(ISE, IAE and ITAE) are adopted. Then tuning formulae are derived using the tuned parameters sets, potential tuning rule models and another RCGA. A simulation work is carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed rules.

무선센서 네트워크 기술은 최근 주목 받고 있는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 핵심 분야로서, 그 활용도가 다양해서 이와 관련된 많은 연구 개발이 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 무선 센서 네트워크 기술을 여러 응용 분야에 활용될 수 있는 환경 정보 모니터링 시스템에 적용시켜 보았다. 센서 노드로써 MicaZ와 그 운영체제인 TinyOS를 이용하여 온도, 조도, 습도, 가속도, 그리고 위치 등의 사용자 환경 정보를 탐지하고 처리하는 시스템을 구현하여 사용자가 원하는 환경의 조건을 유지하는데 이용될 수 있도록 하였다.

For the CT specimen of 25.4mm thickness SS400 steel, the fracture toughness and the magnitude of constraint effect,
$A_2$ on the non-linear elastoplastic fracture behaviors were experimentally estimated by crack tip opening displacement. In order to estimate constraint effect, displacement measurement position near crack front should be the existed within plastic region. But it is found that the displacement measurement positions by the${\delta}_5$ method are in elastic region at crack growth initiation. Hence the estimate of constraint effect,$A_2$ by the${\delta}_5$ method was not reliable. -
The repair welding of small leakage parts on the water pipeline in engine room is often and important factor in standby and emergency condition in a ship. So, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the corrosion characteristics of welding part of leakage water pipe in case of some underwater welding electrodes. The corrosion current density between welding metal and base metal was considerably different according to used underwater welding electrodes. In case of DC welding, its corrosion characteristics was better than that of AC welding.

ALDC 12 Al alloy is often corroded with some forms such as pitting corrosion, intergranular corrosion, and galvanic corrosion etc., in case of severe corrosion environment like seawater Annealing heat treatment was performed to improve the corrosion resistance of ALDC 12. Hardness was decreased with increasing of annealing temperature, however its corrosion resistance was clearly improved with increasing of annealing temperature.

최근 LNG 연료 시장의 호황에 힘입어 LNG선들이 점차 대형화 추세에 있고, LNG선의 추진 기판 또한 경제성, 환경 영향 등의 주어진 요구 환경에 따라 다양화 되고 있다. 기존의 Steam Turbine Propulsion 외에 Conventional 2-stroke Diesel Engine 및 Dual-fuel 4-stroke Diesel Engine 이 LNG선의 주 기관으로 각광받고 있다. 이에 따라 Dual fuel electric propulsion LNGC의 기본 개념, 작동 원리 주요 보조 기기, 타 추진 시스템과의 비교 능에 대해 고찰하였다.

XML 기반의 Single Window은 국제 표준에 입각하여 해운 분야의 전자문서를 사용하여 국제해사기구와 전세계적으로 공통된 양식을 사용한다. 이는 동일한 양식의 전자문서를 사용하는 사용자들 간은 통용될 수 있다는 의미이며, 민원인 입장에서는 정보의 재사용성과 중복 입력의 불합리함을 줄일 수 있다. 이로써 민원인들은 입출항 수속 간소화 뿐만 아니라 해운 업무 자체에 많은 업무 개선 효과를 볼 수 있다. 본 고에서 제안한 XML 인프라스트럭처(XML infrastructure for Single Window)는 ebXML 기반의 Single Window에 적합하도록 설계 및 구현되었으며, 자원의 재사용성과 중복 투자를 방지할 수 있도록 하였다. 즉, 사용 환경에 유동적으로 적용가능 하도록 컴포넌트 방식으로 구성되었으며, 기존 시스템을 최대한 활용하도록 구성할 수 있도록 하였다.

This paper presents the design of a night vision system for vessels. Both a hardware system and software modules for stabilization control are developed. In order to stabilize each control axis, the two-degree of freedom(TDF) PID controller is designed and its parameters are tuned using a real-coded genetic algorithm(RCGA). Simulation demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed system.

The performance of a digital baseband signal processing and data transmission rate depends on the modulation technique. In this paper, We implemented DSP communication system for Underwater acoustic communication using by adaptive BPSK modem technique. In order to implement adaptive modem, we suggested SNR detection block. SNR detection block has the reference SNR value that selects between window filter path and matched filter path. In this paper, suggested system is based on software interface and all Hardware(PLL, modem filter, equalizer etc) is implemented by software, exclusive of DSP, A/D, D/A converter, SDRAM and Flash memory.

보다 깨끗한 환경에서 살고 싶어 하는 인류의 욕구가 육상의 대기 배출물뿐만 아니라 선박까지도 보다 깨끗한 배기를 요구하기에 이르렀다. 이러한 요구에 부응하여 IMO(국제해사기구)뿐만 아니라 EU(유럽연합)과 미국 등에서 규제를 이미 시작하였거나 시작할 예정이다. 또한 많은 선급에서도 약 10년 전부터 자발적인 규칙을 도입해오고 있다. 그리고 스웨덴은 인센티브제를 오래 전부터 적용해오고 있다. 이러한 규제, 선급 규칙 및 인센티브제는 질소산화물, 황산화물 및 입자상물질 배출에 제한을 가하는데, 황산화물 및 입자상물질 배출 제한은 간접적으로 연료유에 함유되어 있는 황 함량 규제를 통하여 하고 있거나 하려고 한다. 여기에 이러한 규제, 선급 규칙 및 인센티브제에서 가하고 있거나 가할 예정인 선박 디젤기관 연료유의 황 함량 규제에 대하여 간략하게 소개한다.

A study developing the dry powder fire extinguishing system inside the simulated machinery spaces of small boats was performed. Fire tests were conducted inside the compartments having volumes 2.9, 4.5,
$8m^3$ respectively. The openings and fans were established on the walls of the compartments. Diesel oil was used for the test fuel, In addition fire extinguishing nozzles using dry powder were installed downward at ceiling and horizontally at the wall or conner. All fires in the test were extinguished under system activation and there was no reignition. -

Such circumstances may have a bad effect on the sound development of world economy by means of trade in sea as well as treat to the safety of crews and safe operation of ships. Finally, Modern maritime piracy has become one of the major threats to safety at sea. We having Cargo-owners or Ship-owners attacked by piracy, it causes enormous economic losses. Therefore, Ship-owners and Cargo-owners insure Cargo Insurance, Hull Insurance and P&I Insurance to indemnity of losses which is caused by piracy. The Purpose of this paper was to explain the losses caused by piracy and studying the limits of the possibility of indemnity in the Cargo Insurance, Hull Insurance and P&I Insurance.

There are several Disputes relating to the delimitation of maritime boundary and the policy of maritime jurisdiction of the states around the Korea Peninsula. These disputes are connected with the place of 'Tokdo' dominated practically by Korea, 'Senkaku islands' dominated practically by Japan, and 'Kurile islands' that is under disputing between Russia and Japan. North Korea has also the problem. The delimitation of Maritime Boundary among these States would be concluded in very near future. Therefore, we need to understand the maritime jurisdiction policy of these states. South Korea also has to set the policy.

In relation to the determination of the appropriate choice of law in most of the maritime law issues, 'the law of the flag' or 'the law of the ship's nationality' is commonly used to apply to several provisions which is imposed in Korean Private International Law. But the theory of the law of the flag or ship's nationality suffers from serious problems in case of flag of convenience which is a flag flown by a vessel registered in one state, with which the vessel has few or no connections, while in reality the vessel is owned in or operated from another state. In this case, the article 8 of Korean Private International Law which stipulates the Exception of Choice of Law Clause can be applied to this matter, and thus it is essential to consider many factors which can be used in determining the applicable law through the most significant relationship or genuine link theory.

The main objective of this research is to develop a system which will provide a more efficient fuel saying measure for the current marine products industry situation caused by the increased cost of oil. For that function, the developed system has been verified using the medium of blending oil known as the MF 30 class. As a result, MF 30 was confirmed meeting the International Standard for NOx emissions and content of Sulfur. Oil composition and soot level analysis showed that it is acceptable to use MF 30 class in condition of proper engine running operation and pre-refinery treatment.

Filter rotation speed at 1.0rpm is filter resistance 3.0bar and 3.0rpm is filter resistance 2.8bar. Filter out impurities from ballast water over 6.0rpm is filter resistance 2.6bar and 10rpm is filter resistance 2.5bar. Filtration system removal aquatic organism over
$80{\mu}m$ in ballast water. This study shows that the filtration treatment system has a potential for the treatment of ballast water. -

Developed and conducted a performance test of the Water mist system that is satisfied with the requirement of a fire test requiring Class 3 Engine Mock-up exceeding net volume
$3,000m^3$ as per IMO's MSC/Circ. 668 Appendix B(Test method for fire testing equivalent water-based fire-extinguishing systems for machinery spaces of category A and cargo pump rooms).Even though fuel atomizing was continued for 15 sec. after stopping of the system according to the test method relating to the atomizing fire type, no fire was reignited. This result shows the excellence of the system. There was no damage to the contents of the system after the test. -
INERGEN 의 성능시험으로서 가장 확실한 방법은 직접적인 전량 방출시험이 최선의 방법이나 고비용, 안전문제 및 시험절차의 난이성 등의 이유로 NFPA 2001 이나 선급에서는 직접적인 방출 시험을 가급적 규제하고 있다. 지금까지는 이론적 계산을 통한 서류제출로 대체하거나, 간접 시험방법인 Door Fan Test 를 통하여 소화설비의 적정성을 평가하는 것이 보편적이었다. 하지만 이번 WOODSIDE 선주사의 전례없는 요구로 SHI 에서는 전량 방출시험을 I,G.G. Room 에 대해 수행하게 되었다. 본 자료에서는 조선설게자 관점에서 Full scale test 를 통한 Inergen 성능시험 최적화 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

The adjustment of bead width is carried by amplitude and weaving shape is controlled by MCU(Micro Controller Unit). We confirmed the result by tracking experiments.

고유가 시대에 정보시스템의 발달과 더불어 안전하고 경제적인 항해계획의 수립을 지원하는 시스템에 대한 요구가 증대되고 있다. 이에 저자들이 개발한 최적항로평가시스템에 대하여 그 개발 내용 및 적용 사례를 소개한다. 기상예보데이터를 이용하여 소요시간 및 연료소모량 관점에서 최적화된 항해 계획을 생성하며, Parametric roll 을 포함한 각종 내항성능 지표를 정량적으로 평가하여, 항해자로 하여금 항해의 안전성 및 경제성 관점에서 최적화된 항해 계획을 수립하도록 지원하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 시스템의 유효성은 실 항해중 적용한 사례 및 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해서 검증하였다.

This study describes the optimum size of a reef set in Korean coastal waters. Data were analyzed in relation to the weight and variety of fish species caught with a three-layer gill net. The results did not indicate a significant difference in the mean catch and mean number of fish species among the three different reef sets, 800, 1,600 and 2400

Recently, there are increasing need to make a synthetic assessment about oceanic data which is collected over the various scientific field, in addition to just gathering oceanic data. In this study, we made a basic map using satellite image, aerial photo, multi-beam data, geological stratum data etc. And as well we are producing comprehensive SVT(Scientific Visualization Toolkit) which can visualize various kinds of oceanic data. These oceanic data include both survey data such as tidal height, tide, current, wave, water temperature, salinity, oceanic weather data and numeric modelling results such as ocean hydrodynamic model, wave model, erosion/sediment model, thermal discharged coastal water model, ocean water quality model. In this process, we introduce GIS(Geographic Information System) concepts to reflect time and spatial characteristics of oceanic data.

선저탑재식 음향변환자는 돌출형에 한에 유체항력 및 유체유기소음을 감소시키기 위해 유선형 housing을 장착하고 있다. housing의 형상 및 재질에 따른 흡수손실(absorption loss)은 필연적으로 발생하게 되며, 정밀한 음향설계를 위해서는 이론해석 및 실험검증이 필수적이다. 본 연구는 해석기법으로는 BEM기법을 사용하였고, 실험검증은 음향수조에서 음원준위 측정법을 사용하여 수행하였으며, 해석 및 실험에서 유사한 결과를 도출하였다.

This paper describes how to generate stereoscopic sonar images by using multibeam data. Both parallel and crossing methods were used to create stereoscopic vision of the seafloor. Stereoscopic sonar images might provide reality and more detailed information of the target and the seafloor topography.

In the side scan sonar method, use is made of the back-scattering, at low grazing angles of incidence to the seabed, of relatively high-frequency acoustic waves radiated in a fan-shaped beam from a transducer contained in a towed body. The fan beam is oriented so that the wider angle is in the vertical plane (scan range) and the narrower angle in the horizontal plane (beam width) with the axis of the beam normal to the ship track. The display of the returns is usually realized as a series of closely spaced intensity-modulated lines on a paper recorder or computer screen display. In this way a two-dimensional picture of the seabed is build up.

The surges caused by the typhoon of Korea are analysed in Kwangyang Bay. The deviations of the high water level were
$74{\sim}185cm$ and the maximum deviations of the water level (maximum surges) were$151{\sim}240cm$ in Kwangyang Bay during the typhoon. The major parameters of the maximum deviations of the water level are as follows : Analysis shows that the pressure drop increased the sea level by$43{\sim}59cm$ , the flood of the Sumjin River by$4{\sim}5cm$ and the external surge propagation and wind setup by$97{\sim}192cm$ . -
기존의 음향측심기는 복잡한 하드웨어 구조로 인해 크기와 중량이 큰 단점이 있었다. 이에 본 개발에서는 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위해 고속의 단일칩을 적용하여 단순구조의 하드웨어로 구성하였으며, 그 결과 장비의 크기 및 중량을 감소시킬 수 있었고 또 신호처리 기법을 적용하여 측정 데이터의 안정성을 획득 하였다.

Digital technology has been applied to marine seismic survey to develop data processing technology and multi-channel marine seismic survey. In result, high-resolution marine seismic survey ended in a success. Surveys are conducted for various purposes using various frequencies of acoustic sources. A low frequency source is used for deeper penetration and a high frequency source is used for higher resolution survey. In this study, a multi-source system was used for multi-channel marine seismic survey to acquire seismic sections of both low and high frequencies. Variations of depth of penetration and resolution would be used to achieve more accurate analysis of formations. In this study, the multi-source system consists of Bubble Pulser(400 Hz) for low frequency source and Sparker(1.5 kHz) for high frequency source.

인공어초에 대한 정확한 개수산정은 인공어초 사후관리사업의 필요충분조건이라 할 수 있다. 그러나, 현재까지 정립된 기준 산정방법이 없으며, 개수 산정시 필요한 실체적율 또는 0.8을 관례적으로 사용하였다. 본 연구에서는 인공어초를 투하한 직후 멀티빔에코사운더를 이용한 조사를 통하여 정확한 실체적율값을 알아보았다.

In Korea, Yellow sea which is located west side of korea has a between 2.8 to 8.0 m tidal range. So, Vessel Traffic Support System(VTSS) is designed to provide predicted water level, tidal elevation and tide induced current. VTSS has a 58 tidal constituents from 1 year tide observed data and 23 tidal current constituents from 1 month current data at Dang-Jin P.P harbor. Predicted data visualized with graphs, vectors and stick plot. The purpose of VTSS give to information to maritime pilot for help to make decision schedule.

The purpose of this study is to measure and evaluate the thermal conditions of large cruiser's cabin. As the result of this study, followings are cleared. The air volume supplied to the 2 types of cabins is quite diffenrent. Temperature differences in the Room A which is located A deck and supplied enough air volume is stable all around the cabin. But Room B which is located B deck and supplied comparatively small air volume has temperature distribution problems, like time-dependent differences, vertical differences. To serve more comfort and productivity of Room B, it is strongly recommended to do a T.A.B.(Testing, Adjusting and Balancing) for more air volume and/or to design new air flow path to make air stay longer.

LNG is extremely cold,
$-160^{\circ}C$ in its liquid state. When it vaporizes, returning to its natural state (re-vaporization), it cools its surroundings. This is cold energy. The manufacturing of liquid air is the first processes developed as the most effective utilization of LNG cold. In this paper, adopting the LNG cold process for manufacturing liquid air was developed and analysed. The result showed that as the higher air pressure and adapting nitrogen precooling, liquefaction rate and cumulative mass was increased. -
Vibration incidents hardly happen when a turbine generator usually installed in LNG carrier is operated, different from diesel engine generator. The purpose of this paper is to introduce an actual vibration incident, which hardly occurred in case of turbine generator, and describe all possible countermeasures to prevent from vibrations during operation.

In this paper, hardware design and implementation of digital controller for the High Precision Digital Power Supply (HPDPS) based on Digital Signal Processor (DSP) and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is presented. Developed digital controller is composed of high resolution Digital Pulse Width Modulation (DPWM) and high resolution analog to digital converter circuit with anti-aliasing filter. And Digital Signal Processor (DSP) has the capability of a few micro-second calculation time for one feedback loop. 32-bit DSP and DPWM with 150[ps] step resolution is used to implement the HPDPS. Also 18-bit 2 mega sample per second ADC board is adopted for the developed digital controller. Also, hardware structure of the developed digital controller and experimental results of the first prototype board for HPDPS is described.

This study developed the virtual operation system for the hydraulic pump system for marine usage. The scope of this study is to develop a process dynamic simulation model for the hydraulic pump system for marine usage, to investigate the process dynamic characteristics using the models, to accomplish the logic diagram for the PLC control and to achieve a human-machine interface (HMI) for the convenience of operators to monitor and control the process. The virtual operation system provides a virtual operation environment for the pumping system, enabling the operators to simulate the change of process variables. The system will assist in developing advanced control logics and then optimal design of the system.

this paper suggest a new space vector PWM modulation method with short processing time which does not need idenfication of nearest three vectors(NTV) and duty calculation for each vector. The suggested PWM method makes mean value of phase voltage to be same as reference during every modulation period by use of a triangle in small hexagon on multi-level vector space. This paper described the suggested modulation method can be successfully applied to the space vector modulation use of multi-level inverter by computer simulations and experiments.

A wind power plant is one of the competitive and effective energy among the regulated 13 renewable energies, especially for the seashore and island. This study is focused on the possibility of wind power plant as a on-site electric power supply system for the common residential building in Youngdo, Busan. The following show the results of this study. 26 apartments' monthly electric power consumptions are surveyed and monthly variations are stable comparing to the metropolitan. With the wind speed measured in Youngdo island and wind power plant efficiency data, the simulation is conducted and the result shows that 35 wind power units are satisfied with full electric power load for all the common residential buildings in Youngdo island.

Effects of Rb doping on the aging characteristics have been studied in SrS:Ce thin film electroluminescence (EL) devices. It has been found that a luminance saturation and decrease of an EL efficiency are suppressed by Rb doping. For the SrS:Ce,Rb device, a luminance and an efficiency after 1024 h of aging at 1 kHz drive maintain at about 70% and 80% of the initial values, respectively.

The effect of tube diameter on heat transfer characteristics of absorber in absorption chiller/heater using LiBr solution as a working fluid has been investigated by experimental study to develop a high performance and compact absorber. A system Includes a tube absorber, a generator, solution distribution system and cooling water system was set up. The diameter of the heat exchanger tube inside absorber was changed from 15.88mm to 12.7mm and 9.52mm. The experimental results show that the heat transfer coefficient, Nusselt number and heat flux increase as solution flow rate and cooling water flow rate increase. The heat transfer performance increases as tube diameter decreases. Among three different tube diameters, the smallest tube diameter 9.52mm has highest heat transfer performance. A comparison of the heat transfer coefficient obtained by the present study with those of previous experimental results showed good overall agreement.

The chemical conversion coating formed on magnesium alloy investigated for low cost and harmless in environment by using the colloidal silica as the main component. The film formed in 298 K is thick, the film, which was thought combination of Si-O, was formed. The film formed in 313 K is thinner than that in 298 K. The quantity of film formed at high temperature such as 333 K and 353 K is smaller than dissolved quantity. At the anodic polarization experiment, corrosion resistance in sealing by hot water after chemical conversion treatment in basic solution condition get worse than that in comparison with basic solution condition. In salt spray test, the ratio of black rust on specimen that did not conducted chemical conversion treatment was five times or more compared with those of chemical conversion treated specimen. The film thickness of chemical conversion coating produced by alkali treatment process is thinner than in comparison with that of specimen produced in basic chemical conversion treatment solution condition. It is thought, however, that it showed good corrosion resistance during salt spray test because the area of microcracks is small.

The cylinder cover stud of low-speed marine diesel engine is more than just a stud. It is a large structural element occasionally weighing over 200 kg used for assembling the combustion chamber components. Therefore, to understand the structural behavior of the stud and design it safely is quite important considering a catastrophic failure which can be arisen from an inadequate use of it. In this paper, the analysis results of the structural behavior of the stud is introduced. Strain measurement results compared with FE analysis results are summarized. The results showed that 1) the stud stress increased with engine operating load, 2) the maximum stress amplitude was about 10 MPa which is far smaller than the stud's fatigue strength of 61 MPa, 3) the stress ratio is higher than 0.9 and the stud's load factor is about 20 %, and 4) about 7 % of initial pressure tightening load was reduced while changing to a nut tightened condition.

A finite difference lattice Boltzmann model which allows us to simulate gas-liquid two-phase flows with large density difference, for instance, 800 times for air and water is considered. Two-particle model is used and the density difference is introduced by changing the acceleration according to the fluid density. Numerical measurement of surface tension agrees well with theoretical predictions. Simulations of two-phase phenomenon for phase-transition is carried out, showing applicability of the model for two-phase flows. The two-dimensional cavitating flow around a board set up in the fluid way is also simulated. As a result, it was confirmed that the FDLB method with two-particle model was effective in numerical simulation of cavitating flow and the bubble periodically grew up at the low pressure area behind the board, in which the fluid condition was influenced by the cavitation number.

Zinc confers high corrosion resistance by acting as a sacrificial anode, and a zinc coating improves the appearance of steel. Chromate conversion coating (CCC) films are still one of the most efficient surface treatments for steel. Although such films can self-repair via the dissolution of Cr(VI), dissolved Cr(VI) have adverse effects on humans, and the environment. Therefore, we examined the corrosion protection property and morphology of colloidal silica conversion films as an alternative to CCC films. The corrosion behavior was investigated in 3% NaCl solution using electrochemical techniques, including electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, open circuit potential, and the salt spray test(SST). Corrosion was implied by the appearance of red rust on the specimen surface. In corrosion resistance at 3% NaCl solution, red rust appeared at 15-20, 55-70, and 83-98 days on Zn-electroplated steel, colloidal silica conversion-coated specimens, and CCC-coated specimens, respectively. In the salt spray test, the colloidal silica film provided better corrosion protection than CCC films, i.e., red rust appeared at 96 hours on the Zn-electroplated steel sheet, at 432 hours with the CCC films, and at 888 hours with silica conversion coating.

Our society is increasing demand and need for marine food and this food has to product at onshore or offshore fish farming sites. Ocean fish farms have a special operation properties such as a good quality water, net cage, sheltered locations and feeding system. The farming site is controlled and monitored for fish welfare as ammonia(
$NH_3$ ), temperature, the speed of a running fluid. Specially, the fish farm is seriously influenced by ammonia. In this paper,$NH_3$ monitoring system for ocean fish farm is researched for the suitable fish farming sites, and test equipment is designed for achieving practical data. The equipment wit monitoring algorithm is expected to the useful system for ocean fish farm. -
선박 및 해양기자재의 안전 진단을 위한 기존의 기술은 접 센서(point sensor)를 이용한 변형률 측정 기술이 대부분이라 할 수 있다. 본 논문은 기존의 기술보다 효율적으로 응용될 수 있는 광섬유 센서를 이용한 분포 개념의 온도 및 변형률 측정(DTSS: Distributed Temperature & Strain Sensing) 기술에 대해 소개하고 있다. 이 기술은 선체 응력 모니터링, 해양 구조물 안전진단, subsea flowline 모니터링, platform의 riser 안정성, umbilical 모니터링 등에 활용될 수 있다.

This paper presents circuit models and control algorithms of distributed generation system(DGS) which consists of Z-type converter and PWM inverter Z-type converter which employs both the L and C passive components and shoot-through zero vectors instead of the conventional DC/DC converter in order to step up DC-link voltage. Discrete time sliding mode control with the asymptotic observer is used for current control.

In the present study the flow fields around pitching foils have been visualized by using a Schlieren method with a high speed camera in a wind tunnel at low Reynolds number regions. It has been observed that small vortices are shed discretely from the leading and trailing edge and that they stand in line on the integrated streakline of separation shear layer. By counting vortices in the VTR frames it was clarified that the number of vortex shedding from the leading and trailing edge during one pitching cycle strongly depends on the non-dimensional pitching rate.

In wide angle diffuser, the increasement of cross-sectional area so rapidly cause possibly separate from the diffuser wall and forming areas of backflow. The flow characteristics of wide angle diffuser with guide damper was investigated for three kind of inclined angle(
$\alpha=7_{\circ},\;10.5_{\circ}\;and\;14_{\circ}$ )of guide damper. Judging from the results, guide damper can be used as an effective means of improvement for diffuser performance and inclined angle of$\alpha=10.5^{\circ}$ was through to be the best among three cases. -
The ship performs heat exchange using seawater to keep main engine and auxiliary machinery at optimum temperature. In heat exchanger, refrigerant located outside of copper tube is cooled by seawater flowing through inside of copper tube. On the other hand, seawater erosion and corrosion nay occasionally cause the corrosion of the copper tube in A/C(Air Conditioner) condenser. This corrosion of copper tube makes seawater and refrigerant mixed, seriously damaging A/C system. In this study, accordingly, the exact ive mechanism of the corrosion on the condenser entailing serious problems occasional is investigated through the electrochemical polarization experiments on the condenser's component materials. According to the experiments, the corrosive procedures on the copper tube was verified by the fact that passive film of the copper tube surface which is destroyed by the pressure of sucked seawater, is damaged by the corrosive ingredients in the seawater.

Magnesium is the lightest of all the structural metals having density of 1.74. It is approximately 2/3 lighter than aluminium, l/4 lighter than titanium alloy and 1/5 lighter than iron. Among the light-weight alloys, magnesium and its alloys show a good possibility for high performance aerospace and automotive applications, however the widespread use of magnesium alloys has been limited mainly by its poor oxidation and corrosion resistance. In this work, corrosion-resistive thin films were prepared onto the magnesium alloy substrate(AZ91D) by environmental friendly coating technique, ion plating method. And their corrosion protection mechanism were analyzed.

Cracks on the cylinder block of diesel engines will often happen due to cyclic load and thermal stress. According to the Classification Societies' rules, welding repairs of cylinder block made of cast irons are generally not permitted. However, such welding repairs became inevitable taking enormous cost and time for their renewal into consideration. In this study repair welding methods for the cylinder blocks, made of gray cast irons were reviewed and the tests of their welds were carried out in order to purpose the repair welding methods of packing seat and o-ring seat of cylinder block and apply them to the practice. It is concluding remarks that the suspected crack by a magnetic particle test due to different magnetic permeability can be identified, which are not associated with a mechanical discontinuity.

We report a study of Zn(S)Se/GaAs heterojunction solar cells grown by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). Zn(S)Se/GaAs heterostructures prepared under different conditions were characterized in-situ by reflection high-energy electron diffraction (RHEED). Structural and electrical properties were investigated with double crystal X-ray diffraction and current-voltage characteristics, respectively. The fabricated
$n-ZnS_{0.07}Se_{0.93}/p-GaAs$ solar cell (SC #2) exhibited open circuit voltage($V_{oc}$ ) of 0.37 V, short circuit current($I_{sc}$ ) of$1.7{\times}10^{-2}$ mA, fill factor of 0.62 and conversion efficiency of 7.8 % under 38.5$mW/cm^2$ illumination. -
This experimental study investigates the wake flow behind the flow characteristics around staggered tube arrays. In this experiment, the principal aim is to investigate the transition mechanism of the large vortex generating process in the wake having unique vortex shedding pattern. The detailed visualization is carried out using the PIV measurement. The transition mechanism of the large generating vortex is clarified by showing the streak lines. the vorticity and the statistical fluctuating velocity distributions.

This paper aims to simulate by FDS(Fire Dynamics Simulator) the distributions of temperature and smoke on fires in accommodations on boards. The paper focuses on analysis of temperature at fire occurrence and soot density. The purpose of this study is to predict the possibility of safe escape and efficient fire extinguishing method using fire simulation results.

현재 선박에서는 선상정보체계의 디지털화 추세가 가속화되어 고성능의 통합형 선방용 컴퓨터를 필요로 하며, 현재도 그 납품 실적이 꾸준히 증가하는 추세이다. 하지만 실제 선박 내의 운용환경을 충분히 고려한 선박용 컴퓨터의 개발은 그 실적이 부진한 실태로, 잦은 고장과 합리적이지 못한 인터페이스 장치들의 적재로 원활한 운용환경을 제공하지 못하고 있다. 그리하여 기초설계부터 특수한 해양환경에 적합하도록 고안되고, 선박의 통신체계(NMEA 0183)를 완벽히 지원하여 항해보조장치로서의 임무를 충실히 소화해 낼 수 있는 선박용 컴퓨터 개발을 필요로 하게 되었다.

초고주파 전력 증폭기의 바이어스 전압을 조절하여 온도 변화에 따른 드레인(Drain) 전류의 변화를 억제하기 위한 저가의 능동 바이어스 모듈을 개발한다. 능동 바이어스 모듈을 5 W급 초고주파 전력증폭기에 적용하였을 경우,
$0{\sim}60^{\circ}C$ 까지의 온도변화에 대하여 소모전류 변화량은 0.1 A 이하로 되어야 한다. 본 기술 개발 대상인 능동 바이어스 모듈의 성능 시험을 위한 대상 전력증폭기는$2.11{\sim}2.17GHz$ 주파수 대역에서 32 dB 이상의 이득과${\pm}0.1\;dB$ 이하의 이득 평탄도, -15 dB 이하의 입.출력 반사손실을 가진다. -
Developed in this study is a nonlinear Ekman pumping model to be used in simulating the rotating flows with quasi-three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations. In this model, the Ekman pumping velocity is given from the solution of the Ekman boundary-layer equations for the region adjacent to the bottom wall of the flow domain; the boundary-layer equations are solved in the momentum-integral form. The developed model is then applied to rotating flows in a rectangular container receiving a time-periodic forcing. By comparing our results with the DNS and experimental data we have validated the developed model. We also compared our results with those given from the classical Ekman pumping model. It was found that our model can predict tile rotating flows more precisely than the classical linear model.

Recently, fire extinguishing systems based on water mists have been attracting public attentions in marine engineering. Performance of the fire extinguishing systems is influenced by the size and distribution of spayed water mists. Droplet analyzing method based on image processing technique for measuring droplet size and distribution has been developed. The morphological method based on partial curvature information of pre-processed images was adopted for recognition and separation of overlapped particles. Tested results show that the present method may be reliable for the analysis of the size and distribution of droplets produced by water mist spay flow.

선박의 추진축은 선박의 기관실 최말단부에서 바깥의 프로펠러까지 선체를 관통하여 설치되고 회전하기 때문에 선외로부터의 해수유입을 쳐대한 차단하는 역할을 하는 독특한 메커니즘을 가진 축밀봉장치(Shaft Sealing System)를 필요로 하는데 이것을 스턴튜브 씰(Stem Tube Seal)이라고 한다. 본 연구는 국내 중소형 선사들이 저렴한 가격대비 우수 품질의 씰 및 하우징을 사용할 수 있고 3차원 형상화를 통하여 선박의 운용자가 쉽고 정확하게 스턴튜브 씰을 이해 및 신속 정비가능, 해외업체 생산 규격을 선박 축에 맞게 절단, 접합의 씰 성능저하 관행을 고쳐 선주가 원하는 사양과 규격대로 제작된 우수한 씰 제품을 공급할 수 있고, 선박용 기자재에 대한 기초지식, 씰링 메카니즘, 구조 및 유동 해석 결과를 제공하여 국내 최초의 무접착 원형 메인 씰 개발 및 씰 하우징 제작 및 독자설계 기술을 확립하고자 한다.

The towfish oi a side scan sonar is an equipment that search images of the bottom surface of the sea in real time. It is a typical equipment that is related to a sea investigation such as a geological survey, seabed communication cable and power line cable placing repair investigation, fish breeding ground investigation, sea purification, relic and mineral investigation, and mine and submarine search. It used to find objects and Investigate on the seabed surface. But, recently, it is used to sea purification and geological survey that require information of the correct surface of the seabed. So, it needs various filtering technique and image processing techniques development to acquire high resolution image. Therefore, this research develops a side scan sonar using multi-beam sensors that supply various information with the fast scan speed and correct high resolution that is not a simple underwater investigation equipment.

In this study flow characteristics of the impeller using CFD. The rotating speed of impellers fixed about 100RPM. This study is described the modeling of aspheric lens, manufacturing and inspection. The aspheric lens is different from a convex lens and concave lens in that is useful to aspherical, but modeling mettled of this isn't open to the public. Therefore, This study is designed to the aspheric lens of geometric form, manufactured a sample by CAM which is applied to Euler method. So, we have verified modeling and CAM process for aspheric lens through a experiment.

현 화학플랜트에서 사용되고 있는 ABS 수지 응집 공정의 경우 교반기 내부의 불균일한 유동분포와 유동메커니즘의 문제점은 공정 제품의 생산성을 저하 시키는 원인으로 작용하고 있다. 그러나 우수한 성능의 산업용 교반기를 설계하기 위해선 반드시 교반성능에 영향을 미치는 다양한 내부의 유동특성의 정량적인 실험 데이터 확보가 필요하나, 3차원적 비정상 특성을 나타내는 복잡한 구조의 내부 유동특성에 관한 정량적 해석은 현재까지도 상당한 어려운 문제로 남아있다. 이에 이런 문제점을 개선하여 생산성을 향상시키기 위해서는 PIV 기법을 이용한 교반기 내부의 유동분포와 유동메커니즘을 규명하여 교반기 내부의 최적화된 유동을 형성시키는 임펠러의 형상을 개발하고자 한다.

In generally, under the influence of over-pressure drop, serious problems such as cavitation, choked flow, flashing and vibration has been coming around the tilting disk check valve. A PIV experiment to examine the cause of energy loss has been performed and the improvement configuration of valve seat based on this visualization results is proposed. In the visualization results, flows in the piping system became instability under the influence of the shape of boss. This unstable flows induces sudden pressure drop in the piping system. So, we change the configuration of boss as a streamlined design to be stabilized the flows. A pressure measurement has been performed to know that the influence of the configuration change. In result, the rate of pressure loss reduction is about 22% at the position of No. 2 and 24.2% at the position of No. 6 in comparison with pre-improved shape.

연료 분사펌프는 600bar 이상의 고압 연료를 분사밸브를 통하여 디젤기관의 연소실에 연속적으로 공급하는 장치이며, PLUNGER&BARREL 은 분사펌프의 핵심 부품으로 작동하고 고온 고압의 환경에서
$4{\mu}m$ 미만의 초정밀 간극을 유지해야 한다. 이러한 정밀한 가공 상태를 유지하기 위해선 내마모성 및 내열성에 적합한 재료와 열처리가 필수 요소이다. 현재 주로 사용되고 있는 방식은 DIAMOND STONE 에 의한 HORNIG 가공을 주로 사용하기 있다. 하지만, 연삭 가공과는 달리 별도의 치수 보정 장치가 없는 관계로, STONE 마모와 그에 따르는 마모량 공차에 의한 정밀 치수 확보의 어려움으로 인해, 고비용 저효율의 약점을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 기존의 HORNING STONE 방식을 대체한 PIN 방식의 HORNING MACHINE 개발을 목표로 한다. -
