In this paper, a novel 5-axis hybrid-kinematic machine tool is introduced and the research results on accuracy improvement of the prototype machine tool are presented. The 5-axis hybrid machine tool is made up of a 3-DOF parallel manipulator and a 2-DOF serial one connected in series. The machine tool maintains high ratio of stiffness to mass due to the parallel structure and high orientation capability due to the serial-type wrist. In order to acquire high accuracy, the methodology of measuring the output shafts by additional sensors instead of using encoder outputs at the motor shafts is proposed. In the kinematic view point, the hybrid manipulator reduces to a serial one, if the passive joints in the U-P serial chain at the center of the parallel manipulator are directly measured by additional sensors. Using the method of successive screw displacements, the kinematic error model is derived. Since a ball-bar is less expensive than a full position measurement device and sufficiently accurate for calibration, the kinematic calibration method of using a ball-bar is presented. The effectiveness of the calibration method has been verified through the simulations. Finally, the calibration experiment shows that the position accuracy of the prototype machine tool has been improved from 153 to $86{\mu}m$.

Recently the interest in permanent magnet alternating motor using for electric compressor become great. Especially the research on Interior Permanent Magnet Motor has been doing actively for its advantages in the energy density and the efficiency. In order to control the output of motor to the desired value, the current control or speed control of motor are required. The accurate detection of rotor position and speed information are necessary for the control of motor. In general, the encoder, hall sensor, and resolver are used to obtain the information of motor position and speed and the speed detection algorithm, M/T method, is applied. However, the M/T method causes the error depending on rotor speed. Therefore, this M/T speed detection method is not perfect. In this paper, it is proposed that the PI control with a 1st transfer function and the integration element between velocity and position are composed in series and this feeds back to the reference value of position angle. The proposed algorithm is a function of the integral elements 2nd term, speed element, is used as an output. Thus, it is possible to detect the correct speed by configuring like the mechanical structure similarly. The proposed algorithm is verified by using PSIM DLL and is applied to the BLAC motor drive. And also it is confirmed that this system estimates the accurate speed regardless of rotor speed changes. As a example, the experimental results and simulations shows that the proposed method is very effective.

This inventiveness and advantage is to regulate arbitrarily the Saturation Flux Quantity by the input signal to secondary winding. Accordingly obtained the biggest effect is that increasing limits of the saturation current destined by the material and shape of the conventional core. In other words, that can decreas the size of the transformer and reactor, While maintaining the current saturation capacity. This paper presents a optimization design of 10[W] single phase BLDC motor applied Notch shape. Cogging Torque causes noise, vibration and torque ripple so notched stator is proposed in this paper. Firstly, a single phase BLDC motor needs applying aymmetric air-gap shape because this type motor cannot help having dead-point which is zero torque position. However, using asymmetric air-gap structure causes cogging torque increase. Therefore, this paper proposes the notch shape structure. Notch shape structure has some advantages; low cost, easy to apply. There are 4 optimal factors selected in optimization process, which are position and size of notches. Through building a prototype, the result of FE analysis and the experimental measurement value are compared each other and then vailidity and utility of simulation will be verified.

This paper was studied on the horizontal continuous casting of Al-xSi(x=10~15%) aluminum alloy. The experiments of the horizontal continuous casting was carried out by the horizontal continuous casting machine for various casting conditions and investigated on fracture types and mechanisms. Surface defect types for the horizontal continuous casting is also investigated. And the study was carried out that the horizontal continuous casting conditions such as casting temperature, cooling rate, and drawing speed affect the hardness and primary silicon size of Al-xSi(x=10~15%) aluminum rod bar. Casting temperature within this experiment conditions don't affect on the hardness of rod bar but the higher casting temperature is the smaller primary silicon size. The higher cooling rate and drawing speed have the higher hardness and the smaller primary silicon size.

This paper proposes a new approach to the designed of visual feedback control system based on visual servoing method. The main focus of this paper is presents how it is effective to use many features for improving the accuracy of the visual feedback control of industrial articulated robot for assembling and inspection of parts. Some rank conditions, which relate the image Jacobian, and the control performance are derived. It is also proven that the accuracy is improved by increasing the number of features. The effectiveness of redundant features is verified by the real time experiments on a SCARA type robot(FARA) made in samsung electronics company.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the growth of lettuce last for 36 days. Lettuce planted on the same medium with different treatment. The first treatment watering using bio-fertilizer (farmer) and second watering using effective microorganism. Lettuce grown in greenhouse with temperature $18-32^{\circ}C$.Characteristic observed that growth in height and weight of the plants. From the observations that can be generated at high observation, treatment 1 had a higher than treatment 2. On the last day treatment plant with treatment 1 had a 99.8 mm high while treatment 2 has height of 90.7 mm. Observation on severe treatment 1 has a heavier weight than treatment 2. Plants with treatment 1 have a weight on the last day of 0.15665 grams while in plants with treatment 2 weights are 0.11365 grams.

We propose a new technique for autonomous navigation and travelling of mobile robot based on ultrasonic sensors through the narrow labyrinth that leave only distance of a few centimeters on each side between the guides and the robot. In our current implementation the ultrasonic sensor system fires at a rate of 100 ms, that is, each of the 8 sensors fires once during each 100 ms interval. This is a very good firing rate, implemented here for optimal performance. This paper presents an extensively tested and verified solution to the problem of obstacle avoidance. Our solution is based on the optimal placement of ultrasonic sensors at strategic locations around the robot. Both the sensor location and the associated navigation algorithm are defined in such a way that only the accurate radial sonar data is used for accurate travelling.

This study was conducted to know the behavior of pH behavior in the tomato juices to find out an effective medium for microbial cultivation. Bacterial culture media is a material consist a mixture of nutrients used to grow microorganisms on or in it. In addition, microbial culture media can also be used for isolation, propagation, testing the nature physiological, and calculation of the number of microorganisms. Fresh tomato juice is used for basic ingredient, therein added salt, sugar and EM (Effective Microbial). The fermented solution placed in a room with a temperature of 40oC. Data retrieval before the pH value reached a constant value is done every 12 hours, after constant rate data collection was done every 24 hours. The pH value has been steady after 372 hours of fermentation process (15.5 days). From the results obtained that the amount of additional ingredient which added into tomato juice does not affect final pH value of solution. Thereby the most effective treatment for microbial cultivation media is treatment number four.

The objective of this study is to find out the effect of yeast on hair loss treatment and the role of hair follicle stem cell activator, which is important in hair growth. The authors have recently produced a substance, which has no disgusting odor, does not precipitates and does not easily corrupt, to use instead of yeast acquired from raw rice wine(Makgeolli). The substance is named Yeast Constituent Extract(YCE). In this research, the Produced YCE was applied on the hair loss area of 10 Androgenic alopecia patients, twice every day for 6 months, in order to test the effect of hair loss treatment and the role of stem cell activator. As a result, all of the patients showed a significant growth of hair after 3 months of test, and showed much more growing, thickening and strengthening of hair after 6 months. As a result of measuring the number of hair strings in the same scalp region of the patients after 6 months, it is found that the density of hair has increased, indicating that the hair loss treatment was effective. Also the hair follicle stem cell was isolated from the patients and the contents of growth factors (IGF, VEGF, FGF, HGF) derived from hair follicle stem cell were measured with ELISA. As result, the amount is found to be about 10 times greater than before the test. The hair follicle stem cell contains many growth factors that affect growth of hair, so it takes a highly important role in hair loss treatment. The YCE that the authors have produced was found to be effective in increasing the contents of growth factors that are derived from hair follicle stem cell. Thus it can be inferred that the YCE plays a role as a stem cell activator that activates the hair follicle stem cells. In conclusion, the YCE is considered to be highly effective for hair loss treatment and to have a role as a stem cell activator.

This research analyze and compares matching ratio with reference image and search for optimal lighting condition in accuracy that user wants coming input image according to brightness change of lighting.
