Tinnitus is noise from ear or head without any external sound stimulation and can cause hearing difficulties, psychologenic disturbances or many difficulties in everyday life. the etiology has yet been discussed and the management is also very difficult. Sensorineural hearing loss is defined as a sudden hearing impairment which was develope over a period of hours to days. I report one tinnitus case which accompanied with sudden sensorineural hearing loss. In the early and acute stage which judged as Dam-Wha, herbal treatment with Tong-myeong-ri-gi-tang was efficacious on the tinnitus. In the convalescent stage and judged as Sin-heo, herbal treatment with Ja-sin-tong-i-tang was efficacious on the tinnitus that accompanied with sudden sensorineural hearing loss.

Postpartum depression is a kind of serious problem which influences on the postpartum woman, her family and infant. It has been known to be caused by many factors and some depression scales have been used to assess the degree of postpartum depression. Edinburgh postnatal depression scale(EPDS) is simple and efficient method. Because of the difficulty of diagnosis and valuation on the postpartum depression, there has been a few case report on oriental medical treatment. I report one postpartum depression case which was valuated by EPDS and had objective evidence. In this case herbal treatment and acupuncture was efficacious on the postpartum depression. I think, though six month has passed from parturition, there need to be treated after parturition weakness and deficiency point of view.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to search acupuncture & moxibustion treatment on hemafecia. Methods : We search thirty-seven oriental medical literatures related to hemafecia and arrange the articles according to the etiological cause, pathogenesis, acupuncture & moxibustion treatment. Results : 1. Hemafecia is mainly caused by intrinsic factors such as inadequate diet, habitual drinking, indiscreet sex and others. 2. Hemafecia is mainly due to the intestinal febrile state, but sometimes due to the infirmity of whole body energy including digestive system. 3. Governor Vessel Meridian, Bladder Meridian, Spleen Meridian and Stomach Meridian are frequently used for acupuncture & moxibustion treatment on hemafecia. 4. B57, GV1 are most frequently used for acupuncture & moxibustion treatment on hemafecia. 5. CV12, CV6, S36 are most frequently used for moxibustion treatment on hemafecia. 6. Acupuncture points are mainly distributed throughout the low back, lower abdomen and lower limb.

Hominis placenta have been studied as herbal acupuncture because of it's limitation of use. The properties of Hominis placenta are warm and supplement of Jeong-Hyeol, Jin-Ki and I thought that Hominis placenta have various effectiveness. So I considered Hominis placenta in Dong-Eui-Bo-Gam which is famous comprehensive korean traditional medical book. Hominis placenta was mentioned parts of Sin, Chung, Hwa, Heo-Ro, Bu-In and most of them are mentioned in Heo-Ro part. As a source book, Eui-Hak-Ib-Mun was used the most. Prescription used in various parts as mental disease, forgetfulness, tuberculosis, fever, various malnutrition disease, sterility, but it's basic principle action is all supplement of Heo-Ro. In management of Hominis placenta, most useing method is heating with steam and most of additional medicinal stuffs had action of supplying Eum, Yang, Ki, Hyeol in composition of prescription.

From the study of prescription on low back pain, the following conclusions are obtained. 1. Among classified cause of low back pain, ShinHur(腎虛) lowback pain and its prescription was most mentioned. 2. Prescriptions such as ChungAWhan(靑娥丸), KookBangAnShinWhan(局方安腎丸) BoSooDan(補髓丹) BaekBaeWhan(百倍丸) DooChungWhan(杜沖丸) JangBonDan(壯本丹) NokKakWhan(鹿角丸) were used in ShinHur(腎虛) type low back pain. 3. Prescription such as TaekRanTang(澤蘭湯) JiRyongSan(地龍散) YoeShinSan(如神散) ShinKookJoo(神麴酒) SoeGuenSan(舒筋散) were used in JwaSumJilBak(閃挫跌撲) type low back pain. 4. Prescription such as ChangChulTang(蒼朮湯) JumTongTang(拈痛湯) ChulBuTang(朮附湯) YiChoChangBaekSan(二炒蒼栢散) were used in SeupYoel(濕熱) type low back pain. 5. Prescription such as ChunGoongYookGaeTang(川芎肉桂湯) GaMiSaMulTang(加味四物湯) PaHoelSanDongTang(破血散疼湯) JiRyongSan(地龍散) were used in UhHoel(瘀血) type low back pain. 6. Prescription such as (蒼術復煎散) (五積散) (摩腰丹) (滲濕湯) were used in HanSeup(寒濕) type low back pain. 7. Prescription such as GaMiYiJinTang(加味二陳湯) GongYeonDan(控涎丹) SaMoolTangHapYiJinTangGaMi(四物湯合二陳湯加味) were used in DamUem(痰飮) type low back pain. 8. Prescription such as OhJukSanGaMi(五積散加味) OhYakSoonGiSanGaMi(烏藥順氣散加味) GaMiYongHoSan(加味龍虎散) SoSokMyoungTang(小續命湯) were used in Poong(風) type low back pain. 9. Prescription such as (四物湯合二陳湯) (仰腰湯) were used in SikJuk(食積) type low back pain and (五積散) (煨腎散) (三花神祐丸) in Seup(濕) type low back pain. 10. Prescription such as ChilKiTang(七氣湯) ChimHyangGangKiTang(沈香降氣湯) ChoKiSan(調氣散) InSamSoonKiSan(人參順氣散) were used in Ki(氣) type low back pain.

Background : Tremor is a rhythmic, involuntary muscular contraction characterized by oscillations (to-and-fro movements) of a part of the body. Tremor is the common symptom clinically. Objectives : The purpose of this study is to show a case of patient with tremor improved by medication of Bok-jin-centered. Patients & Methods : The patient was 60-year-old woman who complained Cephalic and cheilo tremor. She was treated by oriental medicine with acupuncture, herb medication, physical therapy through the abdominal diagnosis, Bok-Jin. Results : The Cephalic and cheilo tremor was reduced after oriental medical therapy. Conclusion : After the treatment, tremor and other symptoms were improved. This result suggested that Bok-jin is the significant diagnosis and medication of Bok-jin-centered is recommanded.

Materials and Methods : Atopic dermatitis (AD) usually develops in patients with an individual or family history of allergic diseases, and is characterized by chronic relapsing inflammation seen specially in childhood, association with IgE hyperproduction and precipitation by environmental factors. However, the exact etiology of AD has been unclear. To further explore the pathogenesis and treatment of AD, a suitable animal model is required. We found that skin lesions, which were chnically and histologically very simlar to human AD, mite antigen-induced dermatitis on the face, neck, ears and dorsal skin of inbred NC/Nga mice. Results and Conclusion : Kami-KangHwalSan medicines controlled CD3+/CD69+, CD4+/CD25+, B220+/IgE+, and B220+/CD23+ revelation that an experiment that motive allergy immune reponse because an in vitro experiment stimulates splenocytes of a NC/Nga mouse same t1me by PWM, and interleukin-4, eotaxin 2, CCR3, TARC mRNA outturn that bear in splenocytes decreased remarkably by Kami-KangHwalSan medicines. Th1 cell and Th2 cell observe to be shifted by secretion amount of IL-4 and IFN-$\gamma$ by Kami-KangHwalSan medicines could know that Kami-KangHwalSan medicines can use usefully in allergy autoimmnune diease.

1. So-gal IS also called as so-jung, So-dan, Pe-so, Jung-so. Gyuk-so. 2. Cause of So-gal is impairment of Jin-Aek. induced by mal intake. stress, overstrain, intoxication, aging. The process is done by Cho-yeol. 3. Symptoms of So-gal is classified m to three categories Sang-So stands for polydipsia, Jung-So stands for polyphagia and weight loss, and Ha-So stands for polyuria. 4. In treating of So-gal, Chung-Hwa Bo-eum Bo-yang is the main principle. The fundamental basis of treating So-gal is Chi-shin. 5. It is not easy to perfectly classify symptoms of So-gal into three categories Therefore further inquiry is required on classification methods of So-gal.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to find out relationship between Trigger points and Acupoints. Methods : We have researched some of oriental and western medical books about Trigger points and Acupoints from head to trunk. Conclusions : 1. In the head, there are 46 trigger points Among them, 19 trigger points correspond to Acupoints and 25 trigger points are similar to them 2. In the thorax, there are 33 trigger points Among them, 17 trigger points correspond to Acupoints and 20 trigger points are similar to them 3. In the upperimb, there are 20 trigger points Among them, 9 trigger points correspond to Acupoints and 13 trigger points are similar to them. 4 In the trunk, there are 11 trigger points. Among them, 5 trigger points correspond to Acupoints and 11 trigger points are similar to them.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to find out relationship between Trigger points and Acupoints. Methods : We have researched some of oriental and western medical books about Trigger points and Acupoints from Quadratus lumborum to Deep intrinsic foot muscles. Conclusions : 40 acupoints correspond to trigger points among 67, which approximately accounts for 59 7% Including similar trigger points anatomically, it will show a doser correspondence between acupoints and trigger points.

Objectives : The purpose of this study IS to evaluate the effect of burning acupuncture therapy on the sacroihac Joint syndrome. Methods : This study was carried out on the 1 patient with sacroihac Joint syndrome Subject was treated by acupuncture, negative, burning acupuncture therapy Lumbar ROM and Visual Analog Scale(VAS) were evaluated before and during treatment. Results and Conclusions : VAS was improved 10 to 2 and lumbar Rom was improved In the study, burning acupuncture therapy was effective 10 sacroihac joint syndrome.

The etiological causes of Pain in Shoulder and Arm based on literatures of Oriental medicine are attack of wind-heat on the lung, wind cold, damp-heat struggle between the vital energy and pathogenic factor and six pathogenic factors And all these causes are the conception of blockage syndrome, $Q_1$ and blood stagnating in meridian system. 2. Symptoms of Pain in Shoulder and Arm based on literatures of Oriental medicine are shoulder pain, restriction of activity and radiating pain. 3. The treatments of Pain in Shoulder and Arm based on literatures of Oriental medicine are mainly composed of both medical therapy for $B_1$ syndrome due to pathogenic wind, deficiency of both $Q_1$ and blood, consumption of the liver and the spleen, and also acupuncture and moxibustion treatment by selection of acupoint. And those treatments are for treating etiology. And also there are treatments using the meridian system and Twelve Muscle Region and Ashihyeol for the purpose of treating the symptoms. 4. Acupoints such as Gyun-u, Gyun-jung, Goi-ji, Ju-ryo and Bi-no are most used in treating shoulder and arm pain based on based on literatures of Oriental medicine.

This study was performed to investigate the cause, symptom, treatment of OPLL through Western medicine and Dong-Eui-Bo-Kham(東醫寶鑑) Results & conclusins 1. Ossification of the posterior hgament(OPLL) have radiculopathy, myelopathy or both of them such as neck pain, numbness, myatonia 2. Neck pain of OPLL seems to be simular with pain in the neck(頸項痛), neck stiffness(項强), stiffness and pain of head and neck(頭項彈痛). The causes were usually Dampness and Cold, Wind. The treatments were classified according to pathoigenic factor(病因) and muscle along the regular meridian(經筋) 3. Radiculopathy of OPLL seems to be similar with numbness(痺證). The causes were usually, pathogenic Wind, Cold, Dampness. The treatments were classified according to diagnosis of three kinds of BI syndrome(三痺), five kind of Bi synrome(五痺), five jang Bi(五臟痺), six Bu Bi(六腑痺) 4. Myelopathy of OPLL seems to be simular with myatonia(痿證) The cause of myatoma was Lung scorched by Heat(肺熱葉無). And the treatment was purping the south and reinforcing the north(寫南方 補北方). We considered that more study to find various and effective methods oriental medicine for OPLL should be made.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to search for more effective methods of diagnosis and treatment of Fracture. Methods : Literature review on Fracture in view of oriental and western medicine. Conclusions : Fracture is classified by anatomical location, grade, shape of line, displacement and cause. The symptom of Fracture is pain, tenderness, deformity, attitude, abnormal mobility, crepitus, neurovascular injury. Fracture is not the same in Healing process by location. The age, endocrine system, chronic debilitating disease, stabilization is effect on healing period and process. Treatment of Fracture is classified emergency care, definite treatment and rehabilitation.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate literatures on Chu-Na. Methods : I surveyed the oriental medical books and related historical material concerning the Chu-Na. Results & Conclus : Chu-Na is used for the treatment of the spine and joint subluxation and soft tissue injury, improving the muscle and joint.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to search for more effective methods of diagnosis and treatment of Communication Disorder with Post-Stroke. Methods : Literature review on Communication Disorder with Post-Stroke in view of oriental and western medicine. Conclusions : Communication Disorder with Post-Stroke is relative with aphasia in western medicine, Sul-um(舌瘖) oriental medicine Aphasia, apraxia of speech, and dysarthria come after strock Each of them has its own mechanism. Yomchon(CV23), Amun(GV15), Chuldol(CV22), Tongni(HT5), Pungnyung(ST40), Pungbu(GV16), Chigu(TE6), Yongchon(KI1), Hapkok(L14), Peakoe(GV20), Kokchi(LI11), Puryu(KI7), Shinsu(BL23), Kumjin-okaek, and Chohea(KI6) was used on Communication Disorder with Post-Stroke treatment.

Gak-gi-byung in Korean Medicine have many things in common with Beriberi disease, Guillain-Barre syndrome, Transverse myelitis and Cauda equina syndrome. Dong-Ui-Bo-Gam define Gak-gi-byung as syndrome that includes sudden lower limbs weakness, pain and edema. Gak-gi-byung start from the foregoing symptoms and could progress to general digestive, neurological or respiratory symptoms is found on many medical practitioners. In this case, we described a 60-years old man diagnosed as Gak-gi-byung in Korean Medicine. He complained Rt lower limb weakness, Rt Knee Clumsiness and limitation of his Rt knee & ankle motor. And his condition was improved through Korean Medical treatment such as acupuncture and herbal medicine like 'Chung-yul-sa-seup-tang' about 15 days.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to report treated case about patient with diplopia caused by stroke. Methods : The improvement of diplopia was observed as he was treated with acupuncture therapy and herb medicine named Bo-gan-san(保肝散). Results : Diplopia improved and disappeared gradually with acupuncture therapy and herb medicine named Bo-gan-san(保肝散). The patient was discharged with favorable recovery. Conclusion : In traditional Korean medicine, diplopia is caused by disorder of JungKi(精氣), intrusion of PoongSa(風邪) into Neoi(腦), and hollowness of Gan(肝), Shin(腎). Treating it is by expelling PoongSa(風邪) or strengthening Gan(肝), Shin(腎). The patient was diagnosed as cerebral infarction according to Brain MRI. Diplopia was improved after acupunctural therapy and intaking Bo-gan-san(保肝散), herbal prescription selected from DongYiBoGam(東醫寶鑑).

1. The pathogenic factors of diarrhea are external sensation, jungjishiljo, weakness of the spleen and stomach, improper diet, sinyanghueson, sueumyujang, liver Gi invades the spleen, uhhyuljeche. 2. The etiological causes of diarrhea are classified into pung, han, seo, seup, yul, sikjuk, ju, chiljung, damsul. Morphology of diarrhea are classified into yu, hwal, son, pok, goe, dongsul. 3. The etiological cause of diarrhea are closely related to the malfunction of the spleen, stomach and the related jang and bu's pathological alternation such as splees & stomach, large intestine, small intestine, liver, spleen, and kidney. 4. Diarrhea was mentioned in literatures not only as chronic Heohansung disorder, but also acute silyulsung disorder, based on hanyulheosil theory.
