  • GRAS probiotics can be used to modulate intestinal microbiota and to alleviate various gastrointestinal disorders. In several recent studies, researchers have explored the potential expansion and usability of probiotics to reduce the risk factors associated with diseases, including obesity, hypercholesterolemia, arterial hypertension, hyperhomocysteinemia, and oxidative stress. In this review, our aim was to clarify the mechanism underlying interactions between hosts (animal or human) and probiotics and the beneficial effects of probiotics on human health.

  • In recent decades, the characteristics of natural hazard has been changed and the global cost of natural disasters has increased substantially. There are several trends in society and nature that suggest this pattern may continue, with more frequent mega-disasters occurring in the future. In particular, risk perception that is at odds with the "real" risk underlies the process of risk transference increases long-term vulnerability. Therefore investigating the correct risk transference and adjustments according to regional socio-economic structure can mitigate and reduce environmental, so called man-made hazard.

  • In this paper, we propose a new objective quality assessment method considering the human visual perception characteristics. A subjective quality assessment is obtained by the response of the receptive field in the primary visual cortex and a human's eye can't focus on all of the visual range in a moment. Take advantage of two facts above, we apply Gabor wavelet transform which is well fit the receptive field in the cortex, to divided constant sized subblocks. Then a local distortion of the subblocks and a global distortion for the entire image are calculated in order. The proposed method has been evaluated using video test sequences provided by the Video Quality Experts Group (VQEG). The experimental results show that good correlation with human perception is obtained using the proposed metric, which is what we called GPSNR.

  • This paper describes a novel bit line structure to minimize coupling noise induced by coupling capacitance between bit lines. In DRAMs coupling capacitance is inherently present bit lines. As in submicron process the bit line space gets narrower. bit line coupling capacitance increases and this increased coupling capacitance sharply raises cross-talk noise. In this paper using different layers of metal for adjacent bit lines has been tested to reduces cross-talk noise and a novel bit line structure capable of reducing capacitance is introduced and verified.

  • Recently, the structural similarity (SSIM) index metric is proposed. In the present paper, a new framework, which is called visual SSIM (VSSIM), is proposed by incorporating crucial human factors into the SSIM. The human factors are foveation, luminance, frequency and motion information. The performance of VSSIM is evaluated by subjective quality test compliant with the Video Quality Expert Group (VQEG) multimedia group test plan. It shows that the visual SSIM is more correlated with the subjective quality result than the conventional SSIM.

  • Human immune system acts to protect the host from infectious agents (bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites) and from other noxious insults. However, immune diseases are sometimes caused by the impairment of immune system leading to abnormal immune response. Especially, autoimmune diseases are very diverse and often bring serious damage Although many active investigations to reveal the etiological mechanisms concerning the autoimmune diseases, it still remains unclear. After proposing a HERV (human endogenous retrovirus) as a candidate autoimmune gene in type I diabetes, it is newly attracting our attention for demonstrating that an endogenous human retroviral superantigen can be transactivated by interferon-$\alpha$ (IFN- $\alpha$) or Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. These might provide us with powerful clues to carry out further studies to overcome autoimmune diseases as the presentation of a relatively clear connection between endogenous superantigens and human diseases.

  • Today, the incidence of illnesses due to a lack of exercise, such as lack of exercise in the 20s and 30s, 40s menstrual period, and 50s in the fifties, is increasing every year, because of the introduction of new technologies such as smartphone development,And the pattern of life according to it changes conveniently and the amount of activity decreases, and the lack of momentum has a great influence. I would like to study new mixed reality healthcare service products by merging the existing human smartphone with mixed reality. This is not merely showing the numerical value of the momentum by attaching to the human body like the existing healthcare product,And to measure and analyze the amount of exercise to help people to manage their health.

  • The e-navigation in IMO(International Maritime Organization) has been developed as a strategy for user oriented service followed by HEAP(Human Element Analysing Process) to assess the solutions in view of human ergonomics. Although IMO already had an interim guideline for human element assessment, it did not include appropriate human elements for user-oriented assessment, therefore there should be a need for revising the human elements of current guideline for ergonomic assessment of e-navigation. We have developed user-oriented human element checklist, threat elements caused by human external condition and error elements originated by human itself in line with the e-navigation development concept of user-based approach.

  • Ideas regarding acting among new theater groups In the 1960s can be summarized in two major trends. The first trend was characterized with the pursuit of identity in a play. The second trend was characterized with the pursuit of creating a play that strongly and passionately explores internal human reality. In their pursuit of the goal of the second trend, they shockingly and strongly destroyed anything by rising in revolt against the existing spatial language. They believed that acting beyond acting as pursued by Stanislavski is not to implant a new type of human, but to develop the self hidden within the actor or to remove the actor's mask. Based on such recognition, the first thing that actors have to do is to remove or break free from the shell or skin that surrounds them. Accordingly, they sought a method that helped them act while taking off their shell or mask during acting and finally got the answer from "improvisation." One thing with improvisation is its way of stimulating the unconscious world of the actors in order to allow them to strongly express the hidden instinctive emotion from deep within them.
