간호·간병통합서비스 병동 간호사의 우울 예측 요인 (Factors Influencing Depression of Nurses among Comprehensive Nursing Care Service Ward)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify depression and its influencing factor of nurses among comprehensive nursing care service ward. Methods: The research was cross-sectional descriptive study. The subjects of the study were 173 nurses of comprehensive nursing care service ward in Gyeonggi-do. Data collection was done using self-reported structured questionnaires asking about job stress, emotional labor, job burnout, somatic symptoms, turnover intention, depression and general characteristics from May 16 to June 3, 2016. Data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 19.0 program. Results: Mean scores of job stress were 159.15(range 43~215), emotional labor 30.90(range: 9~45), job burnout 59.45 (range: 0~132), somatic symptoms 24.03 (range: 12~60), turnover intention 5.61 (range 0~18) and depression 19.25 (range: 0~60) and reported as depression in 63.6%. Somatic symptoms (${\beta}=.26$, p<.001), job burnout (${\beta}=.37$, p<.001) had significant associations with depression and the most important variable was job burnout. Conclusion: It is necessary to apply the developed program to reduce job burnout in hospitals and to prevent and/or control depression. And also, it needs to improve working conditions and increase the nursing staff to reduce somatic symptoms for nurses among comprehensive nursing care service ward.

병원간호조직특성요인과 직무만족과의 관계에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Organizational Characteristics of the Hospital Nursing and Job Satisfaction)

  • This study was done to Identify the relationship between the organiaational characteristrics of hospital nursing and job satisfaction. The factors used for the organizational characteristics of hospital nursing were leadership of the head nurse, leadership of supervisor and others in higher authority positions with supervisors and organizational climate. The subjects consisted of 243 staff nurses from seven general hospitals in Seoul. The data was collected from August 1. to August 31. 1991. The tools used for measurement in this study were Park and Yoon's scale of the Perception of Organizational Characteristics and Stamp' Scale of the Job Satisfaction. The results are summarized as follows ; 1. There were significant differences between for the three nursing units organizational characteristic factors, leadership of supervisors, other higher authorities, interaction with supervisors and organizational climate and job satisfaction(p<0.05) 2. There was a correlation between organizational chatacteristics of hospital nursing and job satisfaction. (r=0.32-0.65) 3. The factor explaining the highest proportion of variance was interaction with supervisor. (39.8%) In conclusion, there was significant correlation between of the organizational characteristics hospital nursing and Job satisfaction. And there were significant differences in the organizational characteristics of hospital nursing and job satisfaction for different nursing units.

임상치과위생사의 유머감각이 직무만족과 이직의도에 미치는 영향 (Influence of humor sense on job satisfaction and turnover intention in clinical dental hygienists)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the influence of humor sense on job satisfaction and turnover intention in clinical dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 277 dental hygienists in Chungnam from May to June, 2014. The instrument for humor sense was adapted from Thorson and Powell instrument by Lee and 20 questions. Each question included humor making and preference for humor and scored by Likert 5 scale. Cronbach's alpha in the study was 0.869. Job satisfaction was adapted from Smith Job Description Index and included task requirement, collaborate support, manager support, promotion, and wages and score by Likert 5 scale. Cronbach's alpha in the study was 0.827. Turnover intention was developed by Lee and 5 questions was score by Likert 5 scale. Crobach's alpha was 0.712 in the study. Results: The average of humor sense was 3.33, average of job satisfaction was 3.20, and average of turnover intention was 3.05. The sense of humor had a positive effect on turnover intention. Conclusions: This result will provide the high productivity and high quality of life in clinical dental hygienists. Humor sense is the important factor that support the job satisfaction and decrease the turnover intention.

학교 급식 종사자의 직무만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Job Satisfactions of School Food Service Employees)

  • The objective of this study is to identify factors affecting the job satisfaction of cook(n= 173) employed in school food service and to propose a plan to improve school foodservice quality. The subjects were cook employed by school in Chungchon province, Gwangju area. The average of cook's job satisfaction was 3.06, the rank factor for nature of work(4.25). the co-workers(3.28), the organic environment(3.17), promotion welfare payment(2.31), the physical environment(2.29) shown respectively. The highest satisfaction with nature of work and organic environment was indicated in the areas of the group of higher age, and cooks who received college education showed significantly lower job satisfaction in physical environment. The highest satisfaction for promotion welfare payment, and physical environment shown in the group of higher length of service who receive higher wages. The groups of regular job shown higher result in the nature of work(3.46>2.94), organic environment(3.46>2.94), promotion welfare payment(2.88>1.94) comparing to irregular job. It is necessary to elevate cook's low satisfaction for improving their work efficiency and the quality of elementary school foodservice.

  • Competitions among domestic foodservice businesses get more intense as the presence of new competitors has rapidly increased. For the past decade, our domestic foodservice industry has shown outstanding growth and overcome poor industrial environments. The poor work conditions employees suffer from will cause negative effects on organization values and effectiveness. Although facing severe problems, most of foodservice businesses do not take aggressive counteraction to eliminate these issues. With this in mind, the study has been implemented to empirically investigate the effects of the foodservice business on organization values and organization effectiveness and then to utilize the findings of the study to develop various marketing strategies for the foodservice industry. The findings of the study were as follows: first, with respect to the effects among organization values, job satisfaction, and organization loyalty, the organization value was found to have positive effects both on job satisfaction, and organization loyalty. The findings demonstrated that the levels of job satisfaction and organization loyalty of employees may be increased by promoting organization values, as positive relationships were found between organization values, job satisfaction, and organization loyalty of employees. second, organization values were found to have a positive effect on organization loyalty. Therefore, job satisfaction should be considered as a key factor for achieving overall organizational loyalty of employees in the foodservice industry.

작업치료사의 직무 스트레스에 관한 연구 (The Study of Job Stress in Occupational Therapist)

  • The purpose of this study was going to research relation of job stress and society psychologic stress according to general characteristic, work characteristic, health characteristic and personality characteristic for the occupational therapist in the working domestic rehabilitation therapy with hospital and welfare center occupational therapist. The research was 91 of withdrawal questionnaire among 102 occupational therapist from 1. November 2005 to 31. December 2005. In the result of analysis the given question for the ninety one occupational therapist showed just normal group 25% 23 person, potential stress group 47% 43 person, and the rest 28% 25 person high risk group. The result shows significance different in general characteristic of job stress about age, final scholarship and marriage. Job stress was included income, working time, office form and working position etc. Health special job stress was significance different according to sleep time. So we have to know a fact of job stress of occupational therapist and prevent of loss of business services. And we have to endeavoring removals factor of stress and good office culture fixation.

간호사 직무 스트레스에 관한 국내외 연구 비교 (Research Trend of Nurses' Job Stress: A Comparative Study)

  • Purpose: This study was done to describe the research trend of nurses' job stress in Korea and abroad. Methods: A narrative literature review of nurses'job stress related literature published from 1990 to Sept. 2011 was done. A total of 691 original articles were reviewed by two independent reviewers using analysis guidelines. Finally, 261 articles (Korean 177, international 84) were selected using exclusion criteria developed by the researchers. Results: In Korea, most of the researches were in correlational survey design, using questionnaires and the tool of Kim and Gu (1984) to measure job stress. International researches were more diversified than Korean's in the research design, measurement tool, and data collection method. Especially, most of international researches focused on job related factor (number of patients, working time, etc.) and physical effects (tension, heart rate, etc.) of job stress. Conclusion: The results of the study may provide with information that can improve researches on nurses' job stress in Korea.

가전제품 서비스 엔지니어의 직무만족도에 관한 연구 (The Research on Job Satisfaction of Home appliances Service Engineer)

  • 본 연구에서는 가전제품 서비스 엔지니어의 직무만족도에 어떠한 요소들이 영향을 미치는 지를 조사 분석하였다. 직무만족도는 현직만족도와 계속근무의사로 구분하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 엔지니어 개인적 특성에 있어서는 성격이 직무만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 파악되었다. 조직적 특성에 있어서는 사회적 지지와 급여 및 복리후생이 영향을 미치는 것으로 파악되었다. 결론적으로 이러한 직무만족도를 높이는 방법은 무엇보다도 외향적인 성격을 가지고 있는 직원을 채용하고, 급여 및 복리후생이 잘되어 있고 업무의 량을 적정하게 분배하는 것이 중요한 것으로 분석되었다.

Multi-dimensional Emotional Intelligence Effects on Intrinsic/Extrinsic Motivation and Job Satisfaction: Analysis Using Laborer Perceived Organizational Support

  • Purpose - Based on previous studies, this study extends current research and investigates whether the sub-factors of emotional intelligence increase job satisfaction or employee intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and perceived organizational support. Research design, data, and methodology - This study categorizes service employees' (consultants) emotional intelligence into four sub-factors: regulation of emotion, appraisal of emotion, utilization of emotion, and expression of emotion. The study then investigates the sub-factor effects on job satisfaction. A total of 353 valid questionnaires were collected. Results - The results of the path analysis showed that appraisal, utilization, and expression of emotion had a positive effect on intrinsic motivation, and utilization of emotion had a positive effect on extrinsic motivation. Extrinsic motivation had a positive effect on perceived organizational support and job satisfaction, and perceived organizational support had a positive effect on job satisfaction. Conclusion - As consultants' utilization of emotion is rendered as the ability to use emotion to improve performance, the conclusion is that such factors as monetary performance incentives are important in order to boost job satisfaction of the consultants.

응급실 간호사의 직무 스트레스, 스트레스 대처방식, 강인성이 소진에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Job Stress, Coping Behavior, Hardiness on Burnout in Nurses in the Emergency Department)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the effect of job stress, coping behavior, and hardiness on burnout in nurses in the emergency department (ED). Methods: Data were acquired via self-reporting questionnaires from 148 nurses in EDs at one general hospital, four university hospitals, and six hospitals with >200 beds. Data were analyzed using the SPSS 23.0 program through descriptive statistics, t-test, analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: A statistically significant difference in burnout was observed with respect to the age of the nurses. Burnout was positively correlated with job stress and wishful thinking and detachment, among coping behaviors, and was negatively correlated with hardiness. Job stress and wishful thinking, among coping behaviors, were significant predictors of burnout and were observed in 14.9% of the nurses who experienced burnout. Conclusion: According to our results, job stress was identified as the most significant factor which influenced burnout in ED nurse's. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and implement educational programs for reducing job stress and minimizing the use of wishful thinking as a coping behavior in order to alleviate the burnout in ED nurses.
