purpose: This study aims to use it as basic data necessary for dental hygiene management by investigating and analyzing the correlation between knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors toward the elderly for some dental hygiene students who will be the subject of dental medical services. Methods: This study conducted a survey of dental hygiene students in Busan and Gyeongnam from June 1 to June 30, 2023. Using the lBM SPSS Statistics 21 program, frequency analysis was used for the general and elderly-related characteristics of the study subjects, and mean and standard deviation were used for knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors toward the elderly. Knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors according to the general and elderly-related characteristics of the subjects were t-tested and one-way analysis of variance, and multiple comparisons were conducted by Duncan'. Pearson's correlation analysis was conducted for the correlation between knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to the elderly. Results: The correlation between knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to the elderly was negatively correlated with behavior (r=-0.192, p<0.01), knowledge and attitude were positively correlated (r=-0.036, p<0.01), and attitude was positive correlated with behavior (r=0.558, p<0.01). Conclusion: From the above results, the comprehensive problem related to the elderly due to aging requires the development of educational programs as an approach that links schools and communities.
