최종사용자의 생산성 향상을 위한 정보시스템 성공요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Information System's Success Factors affecting End-user Performance)

  • This paper describes the differences of the information system's success factors to improve the end-user's performance according to the job characteristics. A modified model of DeLone and McLean's IS success model is proposed with the two added variables of the top management concern and the IS department support. The model is validated using data collected from a field study of 3872 users on 3 Korean companies. ANOVA, correlation analysis, and stepwise regression are used to test research hypotheses. The results of the study indicate the following implications. First the top management concern and the IS department support have the significant relation with the system usage and the user satisfaction. Second, the system quality has an influence on the user satisfaction more than on the system usage. And the information quality has an influence on the system usage more than on the user satisfaction. Third, the system usage has more relations to the user's performance in the logistics function and R&D function. The user satisfaction has more relations to the user's performance in the sales and the A/S function. Therefore information system strategy to increase the user's performance must be differentiated according to job characteristics.

이용자의 참여와 MIS 성과간의 관계에 관한 연구 (A study on the relationship between user's participation and MIS performance)

  • In spite of user's participation affecting the success of the MIS project, many empirical studies, however have led to inconsistent results. This research was conducted to find the factors affecting user's participation, and the relationships between user's participation and MIS performance. To identify these problems, 43 systems operated with MIS among industries were surveyed based upon questionnaires and the personal interviews. The major findings of this study are as follows: First, the main factors affecting the user's participation out to be the MIS manager's attitude, the user manager's expectation, the MIS education and the character of user's task among 28 factors and these factors are different from stage to stage in MIS development. Second, each MIS development stage shows the different relationship between user's participation and MIS performance.

위탁급식 전문업체 전사적자원관리(ERP) 품질이 업무 성과에 미치는 영향과 업무 성과 변수 간 인과관계 분석 (Effect of the ERP Quality on the Performance and Causal-Effect Analysis between Outcome Variables in the Contract Foodservice Management Company)

  • The purposes of this study were 1) to analyze the effect of the ERP quality (system quality, information quality, service quality) on the performance (end user satisfaction, user's performance, system utilization) of business, 2) to conduct the causal-effect analysis between outcome variables (user's satisfaction, user's performance, system utilization) of ERP in the contract foodservice management company. The questionnaires were distributed to 260 end users (dietitians, foodservice management managers) in charge of managing the institutional foodservice such as the office (government agencies, factories), schools (universities, middle and high school) and hospitals which were managed by contract foodservice management company 'C' in Seoul and Kyunggi. The surveys were performed from July 26, 2004 to July 30. 2004. Two hundred and fifty (250) questionnaires were responded (response rate: 96.2%). The statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS Win (11.5). And the descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability test, pearson correlation, simple and multiple regression analysis were performed. The results showed that among the 3 factors (system quality, information quality, service quality), the system quality and information quality were proved to have an effect on the user's satisfaction and user's performance significantly (p < .05). The influence of ERP quality (system quality, information quality, service quality) on system utilization were testified to be statistically significant (p < .05). The user's performance were affected significantly by system utilization (p < 0.001) and end user's satisfaction (p < 0.001). As a conclusion, to improve user satisfaction, which is the ultimate performance variable of an ERP system, high quality of an ERP system is the pre-requisite. And the user satisfaction and performance of business would be higher with the better quality ERP system. When constructing ERP system for the contract foodservice management company, we should improve system utilization and user satisfaction altogether so that user's performance could be ultimately enhanced and we should make efforts to enhance the quality level of ERP. 시스템 개발시 사용자 참여와 태도가 시스템의 실행 성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Participation and Attitude in the Process of System Development on the Implementation of Information System)

  • This paper reports the results of a field study investigating the effect of user participation and attitude on the success of information system implementation during the system development process. The theoretical framework for this research is based on the organizational change theory, in which the attitude affects the effects of user's participation. User participation and attitude were defined as independent variables and the performance of system implementation as dependent variable. User participation was defined as a direct participation by end users in the process of the new information system development. This was measured by user's participation/non-participation. User attitude refers to user's opinions or feelings before a new system is developed. This was measured by user's favor toward a system. The performance of system implementation was measured by the surrogate variable, the degree of individual satisfaction on developed system. To achieve the objective of this research, a field research method utilizing questionnaires were employed. They were distributed to 221 users present during and/or after system development. Among 185 questionnaires returned, 175 questionnaires were used for analysis. The major findings can be summarized as follows: First, there was no significant effect of user participation on user satisfaction. Second, there was a significant effect of user attitude on user satisfaction. Third, there was no significant interaction effect of user participation and attitude on user satisfaction. It is worth to note that the user's participation did not have any significant effect on the user's satisfaction. It seems the reason for the above result is due to user's involuntary participation. In fact, the user does not have much leverage in the process of system development, which may result in poor performance of user participation. Since user attitude is an important factor in the success of system implementation, however, a method to overcome unfavorable attitude of user should proceed all others.

사용자 태도 및 교육훈련과 정보시스템 실행 성과간의 관계 - D사를 중심으로 - (The Relationships between Information Systems Implementation Performance and User Attitude, User Education and Training - Focused on Corporation D -)

  • 본 연구는 사용자 특성 중 조직에서 통제 가능한 요인인 사용자의 태도 및 교육훈련이 정보시스템의 실행 성과에 미치는 영향을 검증하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 최근 신정보시스템으로 전환한 D사의 사용자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 사용자 태도와 교육훈련은 각각 독립적으로 정보시스템의 실행 성과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사용자 태도와 교육훈련이 결합한 상호작용 효과는 시스템 사용도에는 유의한 효과를 미쳤지만, 사용자 만족도에는 유의한 효과를 미치지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과에 비추어 볼 때, 조직에서 정보시스템의 실행 성과를 높이기 위해서는 사용자 태도를 호의적으로 변화시키고, 사용자에 대한 교육훈련을 많이 시켜야 하며, 특히 사용자에 대한 교육훈련은 차별화하여 실시하여야 한다는 것이다.

A hidden anti-jamming method based on deep reinforcement learning

  • In the field of anti-jamming based on dynamic spectrum, most methods try to improve the ability to avoid jamming and seldom consider whether the jammer would perceive the user's signal. Although these existing methods work in some anti-jamming scenarios, their long-term performance may be depressed when intelligent jammers can learn user's waveform or decision information from user's historical activities. Hence, we proposed a hidden anti-jamming method to address this problem by reducing the jammer's sense probability. In the proposed method, the action correlation between the user and the jammer is used to evaluate the hiding effect of the user's actions. And a deep reinforcement learning framework, including specific action correlation calculation and iteration learning algorithm, is designed to maximize the hiding and communication performance of the user synchronously. The simulation result shows that the algorithm proposed reduces the jammer's sense probability significantly and improves the user's anti-jamming performance slightly compared to the existing algorithms based on jamming avoidance.

정보시스템 사용자의 기대, 시스템의 지각된 성능, 기대불일치가 사용자 만족에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study of the Influence of Expectation, Perceived Performance, and Disconfirmation on Information Systems User Satisfaction)

  • User satisfaction has been widely used by information system(IS) researchers as the most appropriate surrogate variable for the systems success since Bailey and Pearson(1983) provided their user satisfaction measurement. Because user satisfaction is a perceived performance measure by users, not a real or objective measure for systems success, however, perceived user satisfaction by users may not be exactly identical with the real systems performance. In this regard, if the user's ultimately perceived satisfaction is different from the real systems performance, we need to investigate why these two measures are different and which factors may cause the difference. From the perspective of disconfirmation of user expecations, this study examined why user satisfaction and real systems performance may not be identical each other. Expectaion-disconfirmation theory which has had a central role in marketing in explaining the effects of expectation and disconfirmation on consumer satisfaction was similarly adopted in this study to explain the role of expectation and disconfirmation in user satisfaction in the IS environment. Based on the expectation-disconfirmation theory, the current study developed a research model to examine the effects of expectation, system performance, and disconfirmation on user satisfaction in particular. Six research hypotheses derived from the research model were empirically tested using the partial least squares(PLS) method. The results of the statistical analysis indicate that the effects of system performance and disconfirmation were fairly strong on user satisfaction, while the user's expectation has shown insignificant influences on user satisfaction.

VDT 화면에서 한글의 글자크기와 서체에 따른 탐색속도와 오류율에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on search speed and error rate according to Korean letter size and font on search task with VDT)

  • The research on the factors which effect on legibility is mainly utilized as the basic data of selecting the standard guideline of VDT screen. But the research on Korean is scarcer than that of English. Furthermore, it is unreasonable to apply the results of the foreign language to Korean, beause of the difference between the typography of English and that of Korean. Therefore, more systematic and ergonomic research of the Korean typography on VDT screen is needed. In this paper, an experimental study on search speed and error rate is designed and performed according to different Korean letter size and font on search task with VDT. The experimental screen based on popular Ming and Gothic style is made up of total 12 artificial screens, each 6 different font size. As the criteria of the performance, searching speed(s.s.) and error rate (e) are selected, and CFF value is measured to evaluate user's visual fatigue. The results of experiment in font show that the Korean Gothic style is superior to the Korean Ming style in user's visual performance. The letter size that gives user the optimal performance ranges from the visual angle 39.8' to 55.5' in Ming style, from the visual angle 39.8' to 52.6' in Gothic systle. In visual fatigue experiment, the better performance of letter size is, the less tired user feels. And the smaller letter size is, the more tired user feels. There is no relationship between font and user's visual fatigue.

정보품질 향상으로 인한 조직성과와 조직에 대한 사용자의 인식과의 차이에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Difference between the Organization's Performance and User's Awareness by the Improvement of Information Quality)

  • In the field of education in Korea, University Information Disclosure System was conducted forcibly in December 2008 by Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. As a result, information quality provided to the user has been improved dramatically. Based on the preceding studies of information success model, the purpose of this study was to prove empirically three facts on the organization's performance, user's attitude, and gaps between two factors by improvement in the quality of information. To accomplish the purpose, literature review and statistical analysis were done using the university evaluation data published by JoongAng Daily from 2007 to 2011. The results of this study showed that the information quality had positive effect on organization's performance, user's attitude like a reputation, and the gaps between two factors. The results of this study had a great expectation for the role of offering useful insight and information in the field of information system and education.
