  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the demiclosed principle, the existence theorems and convergence theorems in CAT(0) spaces for a class of mappings which is essentially wider than that of asymptotically nonexpansive mappings. The structure of fixed point set of such mappings is also studied. Our results generalize, unify and extend several comparable results in the existing literature.

  • In 2007, Huang and Zhang [1] introduced a cone metric space with a cone metric generalizing the usual metric space by replacing the real numbers with Banach space ordered by the cone. They considered some fixed point theorems for contractive mappings in cone metric spaces. Since then, the fixed point theory for mappings in cone metric spaces has become a subject of interest in [1-6] and references therein. In this paper, we consider some fixed point theorems for generalized nonexpansive setvalued mappings under suitable conditions in sequentially compact cone metric spaces and complete cone metric spaces.

  • Some strong convergence theorems of explicit iteration scheme for asymptotically nonexpansive semi-groups in Banach spaces are established. The results presented in this paper extend and improve some recent results in [T. Suzuki. On strong convergence to common fixed points of nonexpansive semigroups in Hilbert spaces, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 131(2002)2133-2136; H. K. Xu. A strong convergence theorem for contraction semigroups in Banach spaces, Bull. Aust. Math. Soc. 72(2005)371-379; N. Shioji and W. Takahashi. • In this paper weak and strong convergence theorems of modified Noor iterations to fixed points for asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in the intermediate sense in Banach spaces are established. In one theorem where we establish strong convergence we assume an additional property of the operator whereas in another theorem where we establish weak convergence assume an additional property of the space.

  • In this paper, we construct an iteration scheme involving a hybrid pair of nonexpansive mappings and utilize the same to prove some convergence theorems. In process, we remove a restricted condition (called end-point condition) in Sokhuma and Kaewkhao's results [Sokhuma and Kaewkhao, Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2010, Art. ID 618767, 9 pp.].

  • We construct an iteration scheme involving a hybrid pair of mappings, one a single-valued asymptotically nonexpansive mapping t and the other a multivalued nonexpansive mapping T, in a complete CAT(0) space. In the process, we remove a restricted condition (called the end-point condition) from results of Akkasriworn and Sokhuma [1] and and use this to prove some convergence theorems. The results concur with analogues for Banach spaces from Uddin et al. [16].

  • In this paper, we introduce two general iterative algorithms (one implicit algorithm and other explicit algorithm) for nonexpansive mappings in a reflexive Banach space with a uniformly $G{\hat{a}}teaux$ differentiable norm. Strong convergence theorems for the sequences generated by the proposed algorithms are established.

  • In this paper, weak and strong convergence theorems of three step iteration process with errors are established for two weakly inward and non-self asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces. The results obtained in this paper extend and improve the several recent results in this area.

  • In this paper, a new iterative scheme based on the extra-gradient-like method for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a finite family of nonexpansive mappings and the set of solutions of modified variational inequalities in Banach spaces. A strong convergence theorem for this iterative scheme in Banach spaces is established. Our results extend recent results announced by many others.
