  • Mobile TV refers to the service that provides live broadcasting and video-on-demand content through a mobile device. In addition to the advertisement as the early-stage revenue model, the paid subscription model has emerged as a more sustainable revenue source for mobile TV services. In this study, with the surveys of 450 free mobile TV users, we examine the motivational factors influencing their intention to adopt a paid subscription model. Results show that three extrinsic motivations, price fairness, subjective norm, and mobile TV utilization, are positively associated with free users' paid subscription intention. In contrast, intrinsic motivations, such as hedonic need, spatiotemporal convenience, and self-efficacy, have no significant influence on the intention. We also found that the expected value is positively associated with attitude toward mobile TV service, also positively influencing the paid subscription intention.

  • This study deals with the concept of Microcomputer Playfulness(MCP), Even though MCP was introduced recently in the MIS research, the concept is expected and empirically supported to be significant in explaining information technology adoption and usage. Based on the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM), this study presented a revised model to explain individual PC use and explored the role of MCP in PC use. The results showed that MCP has a direct influence on PC use rather than a mediator between Self-efficacy and PC use, and that MCP is a better predictor of PC use than Computer Anxiety.

  • The purpose of this study was to determine influential factors for health behavior of elderly people living alone in an urban area. The subjects were 203 selected senior citizens who were living alone in a city. The findings were as follows: The subjects got a mean of 2.89 in self-rated health status, which was lower than the medium score 3. They got a mean of 2.64 in self-efficacy; 3.87 in social support and 3.14 in health behavior. These scores were higher than the medium score. The factors that affected the health behavior of the elderly people were self-efficacy, social support, self-rated health status, economic state, religion and gender. These factors had a 43% explainability of the health behavior of the urban senior citizens living alone. The findings are expected to make a contribution to the development of health care programs geared toward urban elderly people living alone.

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy of continuous low-dose temozolomide (TMZ) chemotherapy for recurrent and TMZ-refractory glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) and to study the relationship between its efficacy and microvessel density within the tumor. Methods : Thirty patients who had recurrent GBM following Stupp's regimen received TMZ daily at $50mg/m^2/day$ until tumor progression between 2007 and 2013. The median duration of continuous low-dose TMZ administration was 8 weeks (range, 2-64). Results : The median progression-free survival (PFS) of continuous low-dose TMZ therapy was 2 months (range, 0.5-16). At 6 months, PFS was 20%. The median overall survival (OS) from the start of this therapy to death was 6 months (95% CI : 5.1-6.9). Microvessel density of recurrent tumor tissues obtained by reoperation of 17 patients was $22.7{\pm}24.1/mm^2$ (mean${\pm}$standard deviation), and this was lower than that of the initial tumor ($61.4{\pm}32.7/mm^2$) (p-value=0.001). It suggests that standard TMZ-chemoradiotherapy reduces the microvessel density within GBM and that recurrences develop in tumor cells with low metabolic burden. The efficacy of continuous low-dose TMZ could not be expected in recurrent GBM cells in poor angiogenic environments. Conclusion : The efficacy of continuous low-dose TMZ chemotherapy is marginal. This study suggests the need to develop further treatment strategies for recurrent and TMZ-refractory GBM.

  • This study was conducted to identify the factors influencing nursing professionalism of nursing students and to prepare measures to enhance them. This study is a descriptive survey of first-year nursing students at one university, which collected data through structured questionnaires from October 1 to October 31, 2019, and there were 203 analyzed with SPSS 22.0. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression. According to the results, the most significant factors affecting nursing professionalism included academic self-efficacy (β =.51, p<.001), followed by psychological well-being (β=.31 p<.001), and self-leadership(β=.14, p=.043). These variables explained 23.8% of the total variance in nursing professionalism. Based on the results of this study, it is expected to be used as basic data for various curriculums and programs to improve academic self-efficacy, strengthen psychological well-being, and cultivate self-leadership, thereby improving nursing professionalism of nursing students.

  • The purposes of this study are to identify effectiveness of the hospital-based home care project, to manage patients' problems in comprehensive way, to decrease the patients' economical burden to the arthritis patients. The design is nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design with matched samples in terms of age, sex and disease severity. Fifty two patients were assigned in each of the experimental and control groups in Seoul, Kyunggi, Kangwon and Kwangju. Before the experiment and after 3-month period of experiment of home care, level of pain, duration of morning stiffness, Richie Index, ADL, self-efficacy and depression were measured. Nine patients were excluded from the control group because of denial of participation. Contents of home care provided to the experimental group include distribution of prescribed drugs, assessment of patient's condition and side-reactions of drug, pain control, depression control, nutrition guide, exercise teaching, and family counselling. Patients assigned to the control group visited the outpatient clinic once a month as usual. Null hypotheses were selected because physicians concerned about the ineffective change of patients' conditions due to indirect communication with patients through nurses. Level of pain, Richie Index, ADL, self-efficacy, depression and duration of morning stiffness did not significantly different between two groups as expected. In the experimental group, level of pain, ADL, Richie Index and duration of morning stiffness changed to the positive direction from the pretest to the posttest. However, level of depression and self-efficacy did not show any changes. Ninety percent of patients in the experimental group satisfied with the home care provided to them. Since this is the intermediate report, more detailed and long-term report will be prepared.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to clarify the mediating effect of the basic occupational ability in relation to the career barrier and job-seeking efficacy of dental technology students. It aims to provide the basic data for NCS-based education and career guidance. Methods: The subject of the questionnaire survey was dental technology students. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 program. For reliable verification, a significance level of ${\alpha}=.05$ was used and reliability analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis were performed. Results: The results of the analysis showed that the basic occupational ability had a mediating effect in relation to career barriers and job-seeking efficacy. It was found that the basic occupational ability had a mediating effect in the relationship between job-seeking efficiently and other variables such as difficulty in an interpersonal relationship, lack of self-clarification, conflict with others in important positions, lack of job information, and lack of interest. Conclusion : The results of this study confirmed the importance of the basic occupational ability in improving job-seeking goals, job motivation, job search strength, job skills, and other related areas. If it appears difficult to overcome career barriers such as interpersonal difficulty, lack of self-clarification, conflict with other important people, lack of job information, and lack of interest, then the improvement of the basic occupational ability can be expected to enhance the job-seeking efficiency.

  • The aim of the present study is to test multiple mediating effects of job-efficacy and resiliance in the links between work-life balance (WLB) and deviant behavior. The date applied in empirical analysis was collected from employees working at Jeju island and 400 sets of questionnaires were spread and among collected 355 sets, 298 sets were used. Hypotheses was examined with SPSS Macro statistical package. As expected, WLB was positively related to job-efficacy and resiliance respectively and negatively associated with deviant behaivor. Moreover, mediating effects of both variables was different, in detail, job-efficacy was fully mediated in that path but not significant in case of resiliance. Findings of this study was to expand the roles of WLB from productive behaviors to counter-productive behaviors and it enables to provide a few theoretical and empirical implications.
