Results: Acculturative stress was affected by satisfaction with life (β=-.43, p<.001) and career identity (β=-.45, p<.001). Furthermore, depression was affected by acculturative stress (β=.49, p<.001) and career identity (β=-.25, p<.001), but depression was not affected by the satisfaction with life (β=-.15, p=.029). The mediating effect of acculturative stress between two exogenous variables(satisfaction with life and career identity) and depression was proved. Conclusion: The result of this study suggests that it is necessary to develop an intervention program to reduce the acculturative stress and depression of Vietnamese students enrolled in the language course.

Methods: The study participants were 110 general ward nurses. Data on participant characteristics, level of knowledge, education needs, coping ability in emergency situations, confidence, and stress were collected from August 1 to 30, 2018 using a structured questionnaire by web-based surveys. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 20.0 for descriptive statistics and independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Results: Significant factors associated with stress related to HMV care were ward career, intensive care unit (ICU) career, intensive care room (ICR) career, education experience, and satisfaction level of HMV education. Stress had negative correlations with confidence and positive correlations with education needs. The determining factors affecting stress related to HMV care in the general ward were confidence (${\beta}=-.31$, p=.004), ICR career (${\beta}=-.27$, p<.001), education needs (${\beta}=.24$, p=.005), education frequency (${\beta}=-.18$, p=.040), and ICU career (${\beta}=-.18$, p=.025); their explanation power was about 41.8%. Conclusions: It is necessary to develop HMV care training manuals and guidelines and consider ICU or ICR careers for patient safety.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of job stress of hair designers on flourishing, and to verify whether work engagement and career commitment have dual mediating effects. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on 177 hair designers of various positions who are engaged in domestic B brand, and the relationships of variables was verified using statistical package SPSS 21.0 and SPSS Process Macro v. 3.3. The research model of dual mediating effect was demonstrated. First, it was confirmed that the job stress of the hair designer had a negative effect on the flourishing through the simple regression analysis. Second, job stress had a negative indirect effect on flourishing showing the dual mediating effect of work engagement and career commitment, and the direct effect of job stress of hair designers on flourishing turned out to be insignificant confirming a complete double mediating effect. These results means, job stress reduces successively job engagement, career commitment and finally harms the well-being of hair designer.

  • This study is a descriptive research study to examine influence of major satisfaction and career maturity on the job-seeking stress of nursing and public health university students. This study surveyed 410 nursing and public health university students from 3 schools of G-city from September 26 to October 31, 2017. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, ANOVA, ANCOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. The study results showed a significant difference in major satisfaction (F=9.856, p<.001) and career maturity (F=6.005, p=.001) according to major choice motives. The student GPAs were also found to be significantly different from career maturity (F=2.755, p=.042) and job-seeking stress (F=3.503, p=.016). In addition, the TOEIC score was significantly different from major satisfaction (F=4.514, p=.004). Job-seeking stress was positively correlated with major satisfaction (r=-.314, p<.001) and career maturity (r=-.514, p<.001). The factors affecting job-seeking stress were in the order of major satisfaction (${\beta}=-.125$, p=.007) and career maturity (${\beta}=-.459$, p<.001). Based on the results, two proposals are recommended in order to reduce the job-seeking stress of nursing and public health university students. It is necessary to prepare major guidance programs suitable to the characteristics of each department from the lower grades and to provide the students with career guidance accordingly.
