  • In [1], robust combinatorial optimization problem is introduced, where a positive integer $\Gamma$ is used to control the degree of robustness. The proposed algorithm needs solutions of n+1 nominal problems. In this paper, we show that the number of problems needed reduces to $n+1-\Gamma$.

  • During World War II there was a statistical analysis conducted by the Allied analysts to estimate the German war productions, including their tank productions. This article revisits the analysis of the tank productions as a classroom activity format. Various reformed ideas are proposed in order to enhance students' perspectives of the point estimation. Comprehensive simulation works and actual classroom discussions will be provided along with the theoretical investigations.

  • In post-industrial society consumption takes a role as a means of acquiring unique lifestyle of style especially for the new generation. The purpose of this study was to identify consumption culture of adolescents in the context of consumerism culture. The use of goods in order to create social distinctions and to establish self-identity was note in is new generation's consumption culture and it was argued that advertising and other media attach images of beauty fulfilment and good life and that they persuade adolescents to have such lifestyle through buying consumer goods. It was also argued that the consumption culture of adolescents is strongly related to the counter-culture or counter-school culture. Implications were discussed with respect to future research area.

  • Mock theta functions are the most interesting topic mentioned in Ramanujan's Lost Notebook, due to its emerging application in the field of Number theory, Quantum invariants theory and etc. In the present research articles we have made an attempt to develop continued fractions representation of all the existing Mock theta functions.

  • In order to note some points necessary for developing the cornerstone design course concentrating on conceptual design through that students acknowledge that engineering design is not to make things but to produce knowledge not only meet requirements of clients, users, and stake holders but also to solve problems, this paper describes the contents for the course that covers conceptual design as well as embodiment design, explains some ways and tools both for guiding students and for asking for study of lecture materials, and discuss things to be considered when faculty designs the course.

  • In this short research note, we aim to provide a new proof of classical Dixon's summation theorem for the series $_3F_2$ with unit argument. The theorem is obtained by evaluating an infinite integral and making use of classical Gauss's and Kummer's summation theorem for the series $_2F_1$.

  • Recently, Kim-Kim introduced Lah-Bell polynomials and numbers, and investigated some properties and identities of these polynomials and numbers. Kim studied Lah-Bell polynomials and numbers of degenerate version. In this paper, we study degenerate Lah-Bell polynomials arising from differential equations. Moreover, we investigate the phenomenon of scattering of the zeros of these polynomials.

  • Sufficient conditions for the Jensen polynomials of the derivatives of a real entire function to be hyperbolic are obtained. The conditions are given in terms of the growth rate and zero distribution of the function. As a consequence some recent results on Jensen polynomials, relevant to the Riemann hypothesis, are extended and improved.

  • The present paper deals with the study of generalized quasi-conformal curvature tensor inside the setting of (𝑘, 𝜇)'-almost Kenmotsu manifold with respect to 𝜂-Ricci soliton. Certain consequences of these curvature tensor on such manifold are likewise displayed. Finally, we illustrate some examples based on this study.
