With the development and widespread application of online shopping, the number of online consumers has increased. With one click of a mouse, people can buy anything they want without going out and have it sent right to the doors. As consumers benefit from online shopping, people are becoming more concerned about protecting their privacy. In the group buying scenario described in our paper, online shopping was regarded as intra-group communication. To protect the sensitive information of consumers, the polynomial-based encryption key sharing method (Piao et al., 2013; Piao and Kim, 2018) can be applied to online shopping communication. In this paper, we analyze security problems by using a polynomial-based scheme in the following ways : First, in Kamal's attack, they said it does not provide perfect forward and backward secrecy when the members leave or join the group because the secret key can be broken in polynomial time. Second, for simultaneous equations, the leaving node will compute the new secret key if it can be confirmed that the updated new polynomial is recomputed. Third, using Newton's method, attackers can successively find better approximations to the roots of a function. Fourth, the Berlekamp Algorithm can factor polynomials over finite fields and solve the root of the polynomial. Fifth, for a brute-force attack, if the key size is small, brute force can be used to find the root of the polynomial, we need to make a key with appropriately large size to prevent brute force attacks. According to these analyses, we finally recommend the use of a relatively reasonable hash-based mechanism that solves all of the possible security problems and is the most suitable mechanism for our application. The study of adequate and suitable protective methods of consumer security will have academic significance and provide the practical implications.

Physically-based researches on simulating helicopter motions have been achieved in the field of aeronautics, aerodynamics and others. These results, however, have not been appled in the computer graphics area, mainly due to their complex equations and heavy computations. In this paper, we propose a dynamics model of helicopter rotor blades, which would be easy to implement, and suitable for real-time simulations of helicopters in the computer graphics area. Helicopters fly by the forces due to the collisions between air and rotor blades. These forces can be interpreted as the impulsive forces between the fluid and the rigid body. Based on these impulsive forces, we propose an approximated dynamics model of rotor blades, and it enables us to simulate the helicopter motions using existing rigid body simulation methods. We compute forces due to the movement of rotor blades according to the Newton's method, to achieve its real-time computations. Our prototype implementation shows real-time aerial navigation of helicopters, which are murk similar to the realistic motions.
This paper presents an efficient collision detection algorithm the performance of which is independent of animation speed. Most of the previous collision detection algorithms are incremental and discrete methods, which find out the neighborhood of the extreme vertex at the previous time instance in order to get an extreme vertex at each time instance. However, if an object collides with another one with a high torque, then the angular speed becomes faster. Hence, the candidate by the incremental algorithms may be farther from the real extreme vertex at this time instance. Therefore, the worst time complexity nay be $O(n^2)$, where n is the number of faces. Moreover, the total time complexity of incremental algorithms is dependent on the time step size of animation because a smaller time step yields more frequent evaluation of Euclidean distance. In this paper, we propose a new method to overcome these drawbacks. We construct a spherical extreme vertex diagram on Gauss Sphere, which has geometric properties, and then generate the distance function of a polyhedron and a plane by using this diagram. In order to efficiently compute the exact collision time, we apply the interval Newton method to the distance function.
Some optimal designs and data analysis methods based on a Gaussian spatial linear model for computer simulation experiments are considered. For designs of computer experiments, Latin-hypercube designs and some optimal designs are combined. A two-stage computational (2-points exchange and Newton-type) algorithm for finding the optimal Latin-hypercube design is presented. The spatial prediction model which was discussed by Sacks, Welch, Mitchell and Wynn(1989) for computer experiments, is used for analysis of the simulated data. Moreover, a method of contructing sequential (optimal) Latin-hypercube designs is considered. An application of this approach to the quality improvement and optimization of the integrated circuit design via the main-effects plot and the sequential experimental strategy is presented.

PURPOSE. To investigate the effect of reducing tooth preparation and ceramic thickness on fracture resistance of lithium disilicate crowns. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Specimen preparation included a standard complete crown preparation of a typodont mandibular left first molar with an occlusal reduction of 2 mm, proximal/axial wall reduction of 1.5 mm, and 1.0 mm deep chamfer (Group A). Another typodont mandibular first molar was prepared with less tooth reduction: 1 mm occlusal and proximal/axial wall reduction and 0.8 mm chamfer (Group B). Twenty crowns were milled from each preparation corresponding to control group (n=5) and conditioned group of simultaneous thermal and mechanical loading in aqueous environment (n=15). All crowns were then loaded until fracture to determine the fracture load. RESULTS. The mean (SD) fracture load values (in Newton) for Group A were 2340 (83) and 2149 (649), and for Group B, 1752 (134) and 1054 (249) without and with fatigue, respectively. Reducing tooth preparation thickness significantly decreased fracture load of the crowns at baseline and after fatigue application. After fatigue, the mean fracture load statistically significantly decreased (P<.001) in Group B; however, it was not affected (P>.05) in Group A. CONCLUSION. Reducing the amount of tooth preparation by 0.5 mm on the occlusal and proximal/axial wall with a 0.8 mm chamfer significantly reduced fracture load of the restoration. Tooth reduction required for lithium disilicate crowns is a crucial factor for a long-term successful application of this all-ceramic system.

A spatial time series model was used for analyzing the method of spatial time series (not the ARIMA model that is popular for analyzing spatial time series) by using chicken pox data which is a highly contagious disease and grid data due to ARIMA not reflecting the spatial processes. Time series model contains a weighting matrix, because that spatial time series model influences the time variation as well as the spatial location. The weighting matrix reflects that the more geographically contiguous region has the higher spatial dependence. It is hypothesized that the weighting matrix gives neighboring areas the same influence in the study of the spatial time series model. Therefore, we try to present the conclusion with a weighting matrix in a way that gives the same weight to existing neighboring areas in the study of the suitability of the STARMA model, spatial time series model and STBL model, in the comparative study of the predictive power for statistical inference, and the results. Furthermore, through the Kalman-Filter method we try to show the superiority of the Kalman-Filter method through a parameter assumption and the processes of prediction.

A semi-analytical finite strip method is developed for analyzing the post-buckling behavior of rectangular composite laminated plates of arbitrary lay-up subjected to progressive end-shortening in their plane and to normal pressure loading. In this method, all the displacements are postulated by the appropriate harmonic shape functions in the longitudinal direction and polynomial interpolation functions in the transverse direction. Thin or thick plates are assumed and correspondingly the Classical Plate Theory (CPT) or Higher Order Plate Theory (HOPT) is applied. The in-plane transverse deflection is allowed at the loaded ends of the plate, whilst the same deflection at the unloaded edges is either allowed to occur or completely restrained. Geometric non-linearity is introduced in the strain-displacement equations in the manner of the von-Karman assumptions. The formulations of the finite strip methods are based on the concept of the principle of the minimum potential energy. The Newton-Raphson method is used to solve the non-linear equilibrium equations. A number of applications involving isotropic plates, symmetric and unsymmetric cross-ply laminates are described to investigate the through-thickness shearing effects as well as the effect of pressure loading, end-shortening and boundary conditions. The study of the results has revealed that the response of the composite laminated plates is particularly influenced by the application of the Higher Order Plate Theory (HOPT) and normal pressure loading. In the relatively thick plates, the HOPT results have more accuracy than CPT.
This research conducted to investigate the variation of the moisture content, crack ratio, and hardness of the whole and cracked brown rice after conditioning at the initial moisture content of 13, 14, and 15% with time lapse. The conditioning was conducted by increasing the moisture content of the sample to 0.4 and 0.8%. For basic information and conditioning characteristics for the development of a conditioning machine for the brown rice, predicted models of above three properties were developed using a nonlinear regression analysis of SAS with Gauss-Newton, Gradient, and DUD methods. Results of this research could be summarized as follows. 1. No moisture variation occurred after 0.5 hour conditioning. 2. The increasement of the crack ratio was 7.6 and 17.5% with the sample increased the moisture content of 0.4 and 0.8%, respectively, after 8 hours conditioning. 3. The hardness of the conditioned whole grain of the brown rice decreased 0.82 and 1,000kg$\_$f/ with the sample increased moisture content 0.4 and 0.8%, respectively, after 8 hours conditioning with respect to the non-conditioned sample. 4. The hardness of the conditioned cracked grain of the brown rice decreased 0.54 and 0.81kg$\_$f/ with the sample increased moisture content 0.4 and 0.8%, respectively, after 8 hours conditioning with respect to the non-conditioned sample. The hardness of the broken grain was about 0.81∼1.88kg$\_$f/ lower than whole grain. 5. The moisture content variation, increasing rate of the crack ratio, and hardness of the cracked and whole grain was predicted as a negative exponential function. 6. Each predicted model with the nonlinear regression analysis, which was very accurate and had a very small amount of sum of square of error between experimental value and predicted value, which could be used for predicting the physical variation after conditioning.
PURPOSE. The aim of the study was to evaluate and compare the fracture resistance and modes of fracture of monolithic zirconia crowns with two preparation designs. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Forty human maxillary first premolar teeth were extracted for orthodontic purposes and divided into two main groups (n=20): Group A: monolithic traditional zirconia; Group B: monolithic translucent zirconia. The groups were further subdivided into two subgroups (n=10): (A1, B1) shoulder margin design; (A2, B2) feather-edge margin design. Teeth were prepared with either a 1 mm shoulder margin design or a feather-edge margin design. The prepared teeth were scanned using a digital intraoral scanner. The crowns were cemented using self-adhesive resin cement. All cemented teeth were stored in water for 7 days and thermocycling was done before testing. All samples were subjected to compressive axial loading until fracture. The fractographic analysis was done to assess the modes of fracture of the tested samples. RESULTS. The highest mean values of fracture resistance were recorded in kilo-newton and were in the order of subgroup A1 (2.903); subgroup A2 (2.3); subgroup B1 (1.854) and subgroup B2 (1.523). One-way ANOVA showed a statistically significant difference among the 4 subgroups. Concerning modes of fracture, the majority of samples in subgroups A1 and B1 were fracture of restoration and/or tooth, while in subgroups A2 and B2, the majority of samples fractured through the central fossa. CONCLUSION. Even though all the tested crowns fractured at a higher level than the maximum occlusal forces, the shoulder margin design was better than the feather-edge margin design and the monolithic traditional zirconia was better than the monolithic translucent zirconia in terms of fracture strength.

Formulation of the geometric optimization for truss structures based on the elasticity theory turn out to be the nonlinear programming problem which has to deal with the cross-sectional area of the member and the coordinates of its nodes simultaneously. A few techniques have been proposed and adopted for the analysis of this nonlinear programming problem for the time being. These techniques, however, bear some limitations on truss shapes, loading conditions and design criteria for the practical application to real structures. A generalized algorithm for the geometric optimization of the truss structures, which can eliminate the above mentioned limitations, is developed in this study. The algorithm proposed utilizes the two-levels technique. In the first level which consists of two phases, the cross-sectional area of the truss member is optimized by transforming the nonlinear problem into SUMT, and solving SUMT utilizing the modified Newton Raphson method. In the second level, which also consists of two phases the geometric shape is optimized utillzing the unindirectional search technique of the Powell method which make it possible to minimize only the objective functlon. The algorithm proposed in this study is numerically tested for several truss structures with various shapes, loading conditions and design criteria, and compared with the results of the other algorithms to examine its applicability and stability. The numerical comparisons show that the two- levels algorithm proposed in this study is safely applicable to any design criteria, and the convergency rate is relatively fast and stable compared with other iteration methods for the geometric optimization of truss structures. It was found for the result of the shape optimization in this study to be decreased greatly in the weight of truss structures in comparison with the shape optimization of the truss utilizing the algorithm proposed with the other area optimum method.
