This is a qualitative study of pre-service teachers' experiences in a teaching practicum course which attempted to identify the characteristics of the course that has been recently revised as professional education course. Data were collected from college students who took the professional education courses including the teaching practicum course by using both a survey on the opinions and suggestions of the students on the teaching practicum and a in-depth interview with 12 students of them. The results are as follows. First, pre-service teachers' perception of a teaching practicum course was divided into two sides : functional side and sociocultural side. The formal is that the professional education courses significantly handed to discipline practical jobs related to educational administration. The latter is that the professional education courses significantly handed to deal for teachers like pay step, extra pay, vacation, and leave of absence. Second, the pre-service teachers had suggestions that were divided into the 'curriculum content' and the 'instructional method'. For instance, regarding the 'curriculum content' they suggested such things needed as 'lessening and differentiation of content, sensitive about the scene, and lesson hands-on', and as for the 'instructional method' they suggested such things needed as actively 'doing, participating, assessing, coursework participating'. Based on these results, I have comprehended the pre-service teachers' positive response. Untill now, we have perceived that the professional education courses is excessively theory-oriented one. But a teaching practicum course is different. Meanwhile, It is not identify what the teaching practicum course as teaching refinement education course is. Due to this cause, I have comprehended that 'curriculum content' and the 'instructional method' is plunged in confusion. As pointed out this, I did concrete proposals in response to such a confusion. This proposals have helped decided on a direction of a teaching practicum course.

The purposes of this study were to develop ICT time management program for middle school students using in the creative extra curricular activities and to test the effect of this program in the knowledge and attitude aspects of time management. The contents of a middle school Home Economics curriculum and nine different textbooks were analyzed Based on these analyses 5 ICT lesson plans on time management were developed. The ICT instructional method was used to develop 5 lesson plans. The second grade middle school students as an experimental group participated in 5 ICT time management classes during middle school creative extra curricular activities. The control group of students who had some condition with the experimental group were taught by traditional instructional methods. After experiment, the changes in attitude and knowledge of time management of both groups were analyzed using Analysis of Covaziance. The significant improvements of attitude and knowledge on time management were found among the experimental group of students compared with control group of students. Thus the following conclusion is made the ICT time management instruction conducted in this study was found loaming more effective than traditional one in attitudes and knowledge of time management

In response to a growing trend toward downward escalation of public school curriculum, the present study surveyed so-called extracurricular activities in kindergartens and analyzed teacher's perception of these activities. Questionnaires were mailed to 1300 private kindergartens and 1116 responses were received. Major findings were that over 89% of the respondents reported doing extracurricular activities in their kindergartens, mostly using 3-4 different kinds of special activities. The 3 most highly ranked lessons in order of frequency were English, art and physical activity. Whole group time was most often used for extracurricular activities. Kindergarten teachers were concerned with the qualifications of teachers for these activities. Teachers of these extra activities usually have no specialized training or supervised experience working with 3-through 5-year-old children.
This study was attempted to demonstrate the service performance of non-face-to-face real-time video lecture service conducted in the coronavirus crisis in early 2020. Lecture service is divided into service production and service delivery from a service system perspective, and its role of lecture service system and the relationship between lecture service benefits and service satisfaction perceived by learners is demonstrated. In order to demonstrate this structural impact relationship, the result of analysis through a questionnaire survey on a total of 268 undergraduate students at G University, showed that the role and level of the non-face-to-face real-time video lecture service system affects the service convenience and service satisfaction. In the additional analysis, the learning orientation learners group perceived the service system level or role in the lecture service and the service benefit itself higher than the relationship orientation learners group. In the past, when a face-to-face class was conducted, learners group who attended a lot of extra curriculum activities perceived the benefits of coronavirus prevention lower than those of a group that did not. In this way, it is necessary to supplement the lecture service system by identifying the role expectation in the lecture service for the high relationship orientation group and the preferring extra curriculum activity group after detail research.
Purpose: This descriptive study was conducted to compare the teaching status, utilization of the teaching materials, and the need to solve matters of sex education between the school health educators and teachers working in an elementary school in Busan. Method: 182 school health educators and 125 teachers participated in the research. Data was collected using a self-administered questionnaire, and analyzed by frequency and x2 -test using the SPSS WIN 10.0 Program. Results: While school health educators carried out most of the sex education in the extra curriculum and physical education class, teachers did in the regular curriculum and physical education class. Regarding the utilization of the teaching materials on sex education, although the majority of school health educators used the teacher's manual, only a few teachers used it. Most of the school health educators used the ICT teaching materials while only half of the teachers did. Regarding the methods to solve matters on sex education, school health educators responded that a sex-related subject should be combined with a health subject, and an independent sex-related subject was necessary. The teachers, however, responded that it was necessary to secure enough time for sex education, the sex-related subject combined with a health subject was necessary, and there is a need to designate a sex educator. Conclusion: School health educators utilized more teaching materials for sex education and suggested more active methods to solve matters related to sex education. Therefore, school health educators should be more active as sex educators, and the subject of sex education should be adopted as a regular course.
The aim of this study was to identify the most effective methods with which to revitalize Korean high school culinary education. To achieve this aim, a culinary recognition questionnaire survey of 616 students from 9 culinary high schools was carried out. The 9 surveyed schools represented the following of 7 regions: Chungnam, Busan, Incheon, Daegue, Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk, and Gwangju. Collected data were subjected to descriptive analysis, $x^2$-test, t-test, and one-way ANOVA using SPSS(version 14.0). The results of this study are as follows. Culinary practice interest and learning demand of most students were high. 6.8% of students indicated that initial theory learning, followed by video education, and finally live demonstration is an effective teaching methodology. They preferred practicing on actual ingredients as the primary teaching and learning method, nominating technician cooking as the most favorite. As for areas needing improvement in culinary practice education, difficulties with material preparation and insufficient learning hours were identified as prominent factors by 66.8% of respondents. There was unanimous agreement that culinary practice education can be enhanced by highly skilled teachers, while interest for the discipline itself can be fostered by initiating and encouraging cooking participation in the home. Freshmen and special high school students suggested that a cooking related website is necessary to expand the current information interface, which is currently limited to colleagues and employers. In relation to culinary education revitalization, consistent promotion of departments, or high schools that have proven student satisfaction rates and effective culinary curriculum are required. Furthermore, teachers can also aid this process by more effective student pastoral care in order to improve school life satisfaction. However, teacher job satisfaction is an important component of this process, and better employment conditions and remuneration packages reflecting extra work must be considered as part of an attractive teacher-incentive employment policy.

This study aims to draw implications on a life-cycle system of digital contents through a case study about EDUNET in order to maintain the quality and efficiency of the service for educational digital contents in the primary and secondary education area. To achieve the objective, lead teachers in EDUNET service participated in requirements analysis about the life-cycle of the digital contents, for example, contents utilization periods, the periods for being updated, etc. From the results, it was found that a systematic life-cycle framework should be established to re-evaluate the contents in service and provide a quality of contents, responding to consistent changes for educational environments in teaching-learning and for educational topics/directions, or according to educational content's substance such as curriculum or extra-curriculum. This study contributes to suggesting needs to implement the systematic management of contents based on a life-cycle system by analyzing user's requirements in order to provide user-friendly service for the K-12 educational digital contents.
Residence College(RC) is a system that provides an integrated space and education program for living and education, which is different from the dormitory that has been used only in the existing simple residential space. Recently, universities have adopted RC to respond to changes in higher education environment and to provide differentiated education and to cultivate large talent in the 4th industry. However, RC and RC education programs in Korea are somewhat distant from the comprehensive and integrated programs found in foreign cases, and the development of RC education programs is insufficient and practical research is also lacking. In order to cope with the rapid changes in the educational environment, this study will introduce the RC education programs in Korea by introducing the RC. The purpose of this study is to compare the RC education programs of Cambridge University and Wellesley College in the USA and to suggest RC education program and effective management plan reflecting the new paradigm which is being discussed recently in our university education.
The purpose of this study is to seek practical implementation of adult learner-targeted college. For this, it first of all pointed out expanding opportunities of adult learners to learn and limitation of current lifelong education system at higher education level as well as lifelong learning centered university project. Then it selected and examined 3 university cases abroad, such as Harvard university, the university of Chicago in US and Warwick university in UK in terms of their curriculum and operating method for adult learners. In addition to the literature and case studies, this study did interviews on 5 professors with major of lifelong education and 5 managerial experts of university to suggest practical operating approach of adult learner-targeted college, which is as following. University's philosophy should be geared to meet public responsibility, specialization and persistency of the system and proper measurement be followed such as various range of admission track, prior education courses, recognition of prior learning experience, major, teaching method, curriculum and extra adult learner tailored service including financial support. Based on the study result, practical implications were suggested.
The purpose of this study is to identify the difference between the current retention level and the required level of engineering students' career competency that they think they need based on their perceptions. Ultimately, the results of this study are used as basic data when designing the major/general education program and the curricular/extra-curricular career program. The task of this study is to identify the difference between the current retention level and the required level of engineering students' career competency. And based on this, it is to confirm the educational needs of engineering students for the career competency. For this purpose, literature research on career competency education in universities was reviewed in the theoretical background. Next, previous studies on career competency and sub-competence derived from career competency-related studies and detailed questions were analyzed. Based on this, an initial evaluation tool for career competency of engineering students was developed. Finally, through expert review, a career competency evaluation tool with a total of 43 items in 10 competency groups was developed. A career competency evaluation questionnaire was conducted for 197 engineering students who participated in the 2022 Engineering Education Festa, and as a result of the IPA analysis, 'global competency' was found to be the competency with the largest difference between importance and execution. Next, 'major job competency' and 'career development competency' appeared in order. Reflecting the results of this study, it is expected that mutually organic design of competency-based liberal arts curriculum and major curriculum that can cultivate global competency, major job competency, and career development capability will be carried out through learning activities and field practice.
