The purpose of this study is to attain basic source for spacial re-organization of the elementary school. This is the first step of some series of the study, For purpose, some investigations is to grasp the change of education system, curriculum and the present condition of institution were done, and some questions on the using condition of space, the satisfaction and the hope for the space of their school were asked to 371 teachers in elementary school, by questionnaire and interview methods. The result of the survey was analyzed using a statistics-analysis program SAS. The results are summarized as follows: 1) Corridor is using to extend of learning and living space. 2) To correspond to open education, various comers are placed in the classroom and the corridor. 3) As the change of educational system, teachers need parting the source center and the teacher's room.

Bell Laboratory introduced the sound and visual system for the first time in 1927. Since then, the development of telecommunication technology made it possible for people located far away to communicate each other watching through the TV screen. Over the period different types of telelecturing systems have prospered in line with the development of telecommunication technology. Therefore, it is quite natural that telelecturing/conferending system attracts the attention of many people as a new way of educating people located in a long distance. In the industrial sector, telelecturing systems already come into wide use to save time and training and travelling expense. In this study, I examine the concept and characteristics of telelecturing/conferencing system and introduce different types telelecturing system developed in parallel with the development of communication technology. Then, I analyze how those merits of the telelecturing system can be applied to educational purpose. Finally, I propose and design ideal telelectuirng/conference facilities consisting of telelecturing rooms, bilateral movie system, seats, ceilings, color, TV screen, lighting, acoustics, humidities and temperature control, security system, projection system to maximize the educational purpose and effectiveness.

The paper analyses the optimum locations of university facilities. Pick up a student restaurant, and, using network model, do that examine the following thing with a purpose. 1) Do comparison examination with a current location and optimum location of restaurant. 2) Plan an location of existing restaurant again, and examine location of new restaurant. As a result, made clear what that did the total sum of distance with a minimum could utilize.

A Considerable number of middle and high schools has an educational program that allows the students to move from one class to another according to their academic achievements. It is, however, performed in existing classrooms with uniform pattern, corresponding to the launch of the 7th curriculum (scheduled to practice in 2000). This research is to investigate the current situation of IILA and to collect the teachers opinions and their demands regarding spatial change to accommodate IILA effectively. This research is also to acquire a fundamental data to set up a prototype for designing a school building for IILA in future. The research process includes surveying the current circumstances of IILA in 136 middle and high schools in Seoul and Pusan, and performing interviews for 9 schools. The research results revealed that there was lack of classrooms to comply IILA in most cases and inconvenience resulted in moving from class to class. It also showed that majority of students experienced unhandy due to limited lockers for the personal belongings. It is also found that the IILA was not a practice for offering various teaching methods but simply an aspect of grouping students based upon their academic achievements.

This study aims to estimate the educational environment associated with various learning activities and to compare the differences of each characteristics appeared on the interviews and questions of teachers performing open education. The results were shown to the 5 groups differed from each other by the awareness analysis on their educational environment. According to the analyzed results, firstly, team teaching. applied living factor, unit learning factor, managemental factor, general public factor and assisting managemental factor were influential successively on the degree of satisfaction of teachers to the educational environment in open education of elementary schools. Secondly, to compare the relative differences between the groups, GLM was done. Most factors were significant only in the group of attached school and showed a partial significance in the grade in charge, gender and age.

The present, there are no evident standards about facilities of minimum-sized kindergarten and lower grades elementary school. So, there are many serious obstacles that related laws and regulations, planning for facilities and scales in this country. Accordingly, this study proposed the concept, type, and size of minimum-sized kindergarten and lower grades elementary school, in case big cities of high density. 1. The concept of minimum-sized kindergarten and lower grades elementary school is defined to the large scale school and class, that integration of children of kindergarten into lower grades elementary school. 2. The type of minimum-sized kindergarten and lower grades elementary school is classified into branch school type and detached school type. The former is located in the main elementary school, The latter is separated from the main elementary school. And each type is classified into singleness case and attached case. 3. The number of students per minimum-sized kindergarten and lower grades elementary school is hold from two hundred children to three hundred children in 12 classes, but suitability is from one hundred to two hundred children. And class sizes proposed $20{\sim}25$ children in minimum-sized kindergarten and $25{\sim}30$ children in lower grades elementary school.
