The purpose of the study is on offer present condition of School Facilities for Local Residents in Daegu City. This study made progress within the scope of twenty-four public schools excepting one private school and five schools refused request. but opening present condition of the equipment was stopping in negative opening more than thing that is seen in present condition(to be a hall, a computer, swimming pool, physical education market, clearinghouse, art thread, library, language study thread) of two locals that show in old research. As result that diagnose this research, The school facilities open every schools excepting three schools could not open on account of establishment of sprinkler, residents protest about noise, small playground. The opening equipment was limited the playground, hall, basketball court, Badminton court, parking lot, classroom, library. And The use present condition was used by parking, walk, jogging and light exercise, basketball, badminton, state examination, sports meeting, books inspection, early stage soccer. When local residents require equipment use, it is not negative attitude in school but have active carriage. and Must consider plan that raise practical use degree so that can use school equipment.

This study tries to suggest a program that the function of a campus can be extended to its community and to be decentralized. This sort of program should be applied to the community without any trouble and be an integration type which the campus members can use actively. To make this possible we observe the activity patterns of the campus members and try to understand the motivation of the activity choice. Finally we deduce the campus activity core. Also, based on understanding the community closed to the campus, we find out what campus can contribute as a community member, not an isolated campus. Through this, the study suggests a program that community and campus devise the growth together as a companion and finally be able to extend its main functions to the community.

This research is intended to analyze the tendency and mixed-use of the PFI for the middle schools in Chiba Province, Japan. The Ichikawa 7th middle school has included food supply system, nursery school, auditorium, day service center and care house. It consists of 2 PFIs. The one is middle school, food supply system, nursery school and Auditorium. The other is Day Service Center and Care House for elderly. This is the first mixed-use school by PFI in Japan. The PFI is a very nice tool for the future of our educational environment. But it has weak points, too. This paper analyze the case of Japanese PFI for the better results of Korean BTL systems.

The conservation or practical use of a lot of closed schools which occurred from 1982 all over the country by governmental policy has been becoming important concerns to local resident and community with economical and administrative interest. A lot of examples, sold or rented to public institutions or a person, which have been using by welfare facilities for inhabitants, facilities for education, youth, company, culture and art, and other use, could be found. It could be said that the process of user's participation of these examples is very high, that is, a lot of examples of our surrounding is applied with ecological concept have participated by most users and local residents directly to architectural repair and renewal process, and practical use. In this background, I choose total five examples more than one by Chungbuk, Chungnam, Jeonbuk, Jeonnam district to investigate examples of closed schools applied ecological architectural concept and I researched reconfiguration of site, change of exterior or interior material, application of ecological system, and role as local community.

This paper considered the situation of the school building facilities in the university classified by the campus characteristics. Data were collected from 224 universities campus of 180 4 year colleges. The results are as follows: 1) The floor area of school building facilities increases continuously in 2001-2003 in the campuses studied. The floor area of school building facilities per 1 student increase $15.85m^2$ in 2001, $17.62m^2$ in 2002, and $17.79m^2$ in 2003. 2) The floor area of school building facilities is distributed widely, also the floor area of school building facilities is below $130,000m^2$ and the floor area per 1 student is below $23m^2$ in 75% of the campuses studied. 3) The floor area of school building facilities per 1 student increases $16.07m^2$ in 2001, $17.41m^2$ in 2002 and $17.62m^2$ in 2003. 4) The floor area of school building facilities per 1 student is large but tends to decrease every year in the university of education. Medical, arts and physical type campus has the large floor area per 1 student and the distribution of area is wide owing to the campus having a hospital. The floor area per 1 student is large and the distribution of area is wide in the sub campus.

The multipurpose auditoriums in schools are the center of local community and the places of their life-long education. The multipurpose auditoriums are to be open and made available for use by local public as far as it does not interfere with the education of the schools. However, most of them are not open to public on the pretext of management problems while demands of local communities for the opening of the facility is rising. The role of the multipurpose auditorium as the place of physical training and its maximum availability to local community have be taken into account of from its design stage. The location of the auditorium itself has to be close to the main entrance of the school for easy access, its facilities located in one common area, their management and maintenance scheme adopted appropriately but legally, and then security and safety measurement have to be devised. Also, more studies are necessary to propose detail regulations for local sports facilities and to develop their interrelationship and network, in connection with sophistication of school facilities and BTL system.
