In this paper, we applied a PC interface and an embedded system in order to design a non-linear system and implement the PID algorithm as our control one. We used the inverted pendulum, one of the most generally used non-linear system models, to control uncertain factors in the environment. This paper showed how to use this non-linear system model to control the factors completely as well as to understand the PID algorithm. Furthermore, this paper applied and understood the embedded system.

The problem of sub-Nyquist nonuniform sampling for the perfect reconstruction of signals with time-varying spectral contents is studied. The signals are assumed to have a known instantaneous bandwidth in time-frequency domain. As the function of time, the nonuniform sampling pattern of a given signal, that is, the instantaneous sampling frequency is determined by the observation of instantaneous bandwidth based on time-frequency analysis. The proposed sampling pattern guarantees the perfect reconstruction of nonuniform sampled signals under Nyquist-sampling rate in average.

In this paper, we newly propose a predictor model which is a method to overcome the time-varying delay in a system and we verify that the predictor model is well suited for the time-delayed system and improves the stability a lot through the experiments. The proposed predict compensator compensates uncertain time delays and minimizes variance of system performance. Therefore it is suitable for the control of uncertain systems and nonlinear systems that are difficult to be modeled. The simulation conditions are set for the cases of various input time delays and simulations are applied for the 2-axis robot arms which are drawing a circle on the plane. Conclusively, the proposed predict compensator represents stable properties regardless of the time delay. As a future research, we suggest to develope a robust control algorithm to compensate the random time delay which occurs in the tole-operated systems.

This paper describes the synthesis of robust and non-fragile Η
$^{\infty}$ output feedback controller for parameter uncertain systems with time delay. The sufficient condition of controller existence, and the design method of robust and non-fragile Η$^{\infty}$ output feedback controller are presented. The obtained conditions can be represented as parameterized LMIs, and PLMIs feasibility problems involve infinitely many LMIs hence are very hard to solve. Therefore, PLMIs are replaced by a finite set of LMIs using relaxation techniques(separated convexity concepts). This method is potentially conservative but often provide practically exploitable solutions of difficult problems with a reasonable computational effort. The compatibility of resulting controller is illustrated by numerical example. -
There has been a growing need for interaction between human operator and a remote system to perform a complex task in an unpredictable environment and to operate an important work at a remote distance. The interaction becomes an important parameter in the teleautonomous operation because it permits the operator to control the system at remote distance. As the environmental uncertainties to be applied are getting increased, so is the difference between the plan of the operator and the execution of the system increased. Since the operator may be difficult to know the latest information from frequently changing environment due to time-varying delays, remote system may be hard to control in accordance with the operators command. Interactive Teleautonomous Control System (ITCS) is an approach based on interactions at these environments. The ITCS can be regarded as a control system using the transmitted a system's intnetion. The interactive teleautonomous control does not mean the interaction from operators point of view only considering feedback environmental information and forward simulation but an interaction between the operator and the system that transmits or receives intentions. The proposed ITCS is based on the intention communication that transmits their intentions to each other. The ITCS can correctly control the system in accordance with the operator's intention. Using the intention communication, a system intention is helpful to the operator. In the interactive teleautonomous control, the intention communication has to be provided by the interaction between the operator and the system.

The path planning of autonomous mobile robot use two method. One is global path planning and another is local path planning. In this paper, We study the local path planning of autonomous mobile robot move in unknown enviroment. This local path planning is based on neural network using the direction indicator rules learning. also the system is made up of sensor system. The motion control system for real-time execution. The experimental results show that the developed direction indicator system operates properly and strongly at circumstance.

In this paper the wheeled mobile robot is studied. The kinematic and dynamic modeling of the robot is presented via LPD(Linear Parameter Dependent) framework. A path-planning algorithm which is optimized in the sense of robot mobility and distance is presented. And by using PI controller we show that the presented algorithm and model is work very well in the computer simulation and experiment.

본 논문은 고정 및 이동물체와의 효율적인 충돌회피 알고리즘으로 적응임피던스제어 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 일반적인 충돌회피 알고리즘은 이동로봇의 동적 특성을 고려하지 않고 최적의 경로생성에만 관심을 둠으로써 실제 이동로봇이 추종하기 어려운 경로를 생성하기 쉽다. 그러므로 이동로봇의 동적 특성을 고려한 충돌회피 알고리즘을 위해, 이동로봇과 장애물과의 상호작용관계를 가상의 힘으로 정의한 임피던스제어 알고리즘을 사용하였다. 하지만 이런 단순 임피던스제어 알고리즘만으로는 갑작스런 장애물의 출현 시 이동로봇의 속도가 증가하고 장애물이 사라지면 속도가 감소하는 비효율적인 속도제어라는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 충돌 가능성에 따른 새로운 속도제어 방식을 고려한 적응임피던스제어 알고리즘을 제안하고 검증하고자 한다.

A new adaptive PRML architecture, considered not only DVD-ROM but also DVD-Multi including DVD-RAM as well, is presented to demonstrate its superiority over the conventional analog channel in a DVD system. For this new architecture, channel adaptation algorithm using gain controlled type of FIR filter, and asymmetry compensation algorithm using expected level adaptation of viterbi decoder are presented. In addition, a method of modelling the disk tilt and asymmetrical read-back signal are discussed.

This paper deals with a denial of service is about without permission knocking off service, for example through crashing the whole system. Another definition is that denial of service is seeing to that someone don't get what they paid for. The Network Denial of service Attack Detection System designed and implemented through suggested algorithm can detect attacking from the outside among denial of service attacks. It shown that designed system gives the system administrator the opportunity to detect denial of service attack.

An extended-counting analog to digital converter (ADC) is designed to have a high resolution(14bit) with low power consumption and small dia area. First order sigma-delta modulator with a simple counter for incremental operation eliminates the need of big decimation filter in conventional sigma-delta type ADC. To improve the accuracy and linearity, extended mode of successive approximation is followed. For 14-bit conversion operation, total 263 clocks(1 clock for reset, 256 clocks for incremental operation and extended 6 clocks for successive approximation operation) are needed with the sampling rate of 10 Ms/s This ADC is implemented in a 0.6um standard CMOS technology with a die area of 1 mm
${\times}$ 0.75 mm. -
As digital systems continue to use components with faster edge rate and clock speeds, transmission of the digital information can take place many troubles. The increasing requirement for controlled impedance PCBs becomes both a critical success factor and a design challenge. Especially, the noise sources in digital system include the noise in power supply, ground and packaging due to simultaneous switching of signal, signal reflections and distortions on single and multiple transmission lines. This paper simulates the tracks controlled impedance with the test coupon. So, it can saves the design time and supports the economical PCB design.

This paper describes an RF module for 2.4GHz wireless audio/video transmission. The pre-processed baseband input signals are FM-modulated using a VCO and then transmitted through an antenna after RF filtering. The designed circuits are implemented using a Teflon board of which the size is 52mm
${\times}$ 62mm. The measured maximum output signal levels are around -3dBm and the harmonics are less than -450dBc. The manufactured module consumes 130mA from a 8V supply. -
BLDC motor is widely used in automation areas for its good maintenance and controllability. In this paper it is designed for a speed control servo system of sinusoidal typo BLDC motor that can be easily adapted to automation systems with lower cost. Also, control parameters & periods are made adjustable according to the sensors of the motor, electric and mechanical time constant, and PI and PD control are used. The processor for the proposed system is a low cost 16bit One-Chip microprocessor. By experimental results from application to the industrial sewing machine, one of the application of BLDC motor, it can be verified that under the given reference, the system is enough as a speed and position servo without overshoots.

This paper has been studied the parallel resonant inverter which controlling the constant power and tracking the load resonant frequency with PLL is possible, in order to minimize switching losses. The current-fed full-bridge type parallel resonant inverter of an induction heating system was composed of IGBT in switching device. For regulating the output power of an induction heating system, the Fuzzy controller is used. The Fuzzy controller makes the control signal for a stable power regulating control and when reference is changed, it is superior to adaptability. It has been evaluated a stable behavior for a noise with switching and a load disturbance.

In this paper, we have researched a Automatic Power Factor Correction and THD reduction System for the multiple connection of CFL. Also in this paper, the power factor has been researched for the design of CFL, found the reason why the power factor is low and THD is too high. This paper has designed the PFC System for the multiple connection of CFL, and then we have increased the power factor and reduced the total harmonic distortion, by implementing them.

We have development the dimming controller using the ac chopper technique. The ac chopper change the amplitude of the input source voltage with the unchanged its frequency. The conventional dimming controller is operated by controlling voltage phase and is consist of the triac. It has a bad characteristic about a current THD and a power factor. But the dimming controller using the at chopper technique has a low current THD and a good power factor. The developed dimming controller is consist of the MOSFET and the low pass filter. The system is operated by the variation circuit of the input source voltage and the microprocessor.

Since power failures in high-speed communication network, especially in HFC(Hybrid Fiber Coaxial cable) network are critical, microcontroller-based UPS(Uninterrupted Power Supply) are commonly used in the network. Hardware and software of UPS management system is designed and implemented to monitor and control UPS status to supply electric power to ONU and TBA in the HFC network. The result of laboratory tests and field tess of this system shows the scan rate to be 1 to 10 minutes to sufficiently monitor the status of UPS in the network.

In this paper, we proposed a multiplicative algorithm for two polynomials in existence coefficients over finite field GF(3
$^{m}$ ). Using the proposed multiplicative algorithm, we constructed the multiplier of modular architecture with parallel in-output. The proposed multiplier is composed of (m+1)$^2$ identical cells, each cell consists of single mod(3) additional gate and single mod(3) multiplicative gate. Proposed multiplier need single mod(3) multiplicative gate delay time and m mod(3) additional gate delay time not clock. Also, the proposed architecture is simple, regular and has the property of modularity, therefore well-suited for VLSI implementation. -
In this paper while a router is routing all packet to the next hop, it inspects whether there is congestion on this current hop router or not and if the router discovers that it has some congestion, it informs that the packet is experienced to congestion. The packet arrived to next hop including some information about the congestion is processed first and it has wider bandwidth than another packet The amount of congestion is recorded to the DS field of IP header by congestion experience level. In the next hop when the packet including the congestion information is routed, the standard packet dropping ratio of the current router is changed in proportion to congestion experience that is recorded in IP header on of that. When the packet that has experienced congestion before is arrived, the router extends the drop threshold value not to drop the packet. It mean that transferring the audio or video stream, if the packet is already experienced the congestion in another hop, the router can provide the better service quality about 15∼25% than another.

This paper describes design technique of switched-capacitor 1V delta-sigma modulator. To solve the incomplete switching operation at low voltage, bootstrapping technique is used. For PMOS input pair of 1V operational amplifier, simple common mode level down technique is used. Designed 2nd order single loop modulator has an oversampling ratio of 64 and obtains a peak SNR of 71dB, a dynamic range of 73 dB with the power consumption of 350uW at 1V power supply.

SFFS(Solid Freeform Fabrication System) is commercializing to rapid prototyping concept in foreign some corporations including the U.S.A, have much technological problems yet and need new mode for agile prototyping. In this paper, we design algorithm that the cutting path of laser beam, on the SFFS(Solid Freeform Fabrication System), is controlled with constant speed. The designed algorithm for constant-speed path control is implemented and experimented in the CAFL
$\^$ VM/ (Computer Aided Fabrication of Lamination for Various Material) system, the new SFFS which was developed in this paper. -
This paper presents a study on DSP(TMS320F240) controller design for multi-axes transportation system using BLDC servo motor. This BLDC servo motor controller was realized with DSP(Digital Signal Processor) and IPM (Intelligent Power Module). The multi-axes transportation system needs torque, speed, position control of servo motor for variable action. This paper implements those servo control with vector control and space vector modulation technique. As CPU of controller DSP(TMS320F240) is adopted because, it has PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) waveform generator, A/D(Analog to Digital) converter, SPI(Serial Peripheral Interface) port and input/output port etc. The controller of multi-axes transportation system consists of 3-level hierarchy structure that main host PC manages three sub DSP system which transfer downword command and are monitoring the states of end servo controllers. Each sub DSP system operates eight BLDC servo controllers which control BLDC servo motor using DSP and IPM Between host system and middle digital signal processor communicate with RS-422, between main processor and controller communicate with SPI port.

In this work, we evaluated the performance of soft iterative decoder with soft block decoder in optical storage system. Because optical storage system requires run- length limited code in general, adaptation of the soft decoders such as turbo code or LDPC(low density parity check code) is difficult without soft block decoders. The performance of the overall optical detection system is evaluated and the simplified channel detection is also proposed.

This paper has studied a remote AMR(Automatic Meter Reading) system using the power line and the telephone line as a communication media and the digital power meter. In the developed system, because we have used the power line and telephone, the facility is very easy and then its cost is not expensive. The system includes following elements: a digital power meter, an indoor communication system using a power line modem and a telephone line interface system for sending data to the utility company.

Soft masks mean that part or all of the program code for operating system or applications are located in the EEPROM or flash ROM. Since Soft masks allow errors to be corrected and programs to be modified quickly and at minimal cost, they are used primarily during testing and in the field trials. This paper introduces a hardware architecture of IC card for soft masks. We suggest a new down loading scheme for soft-mask ROM connected by an I/O interface. This scheme saves the new IC card development cost and time.

In this paper, we propose the sound-mapping algorithm of the detected obstacle by ultrasonic sensors. We apply this algorithm to a Obstacle alarm for the visually impaired. In our system, we acquire obstacles information using ultrasonic sensors, and transform two-dimensional and distance information into sound-imaging information and vibrator with azimuth (direction) and distance. We implement this system with ultrasonic sensors to more effective expression of the obstacle information. The distance of an obstacle can be expressed by sound pressure level, and azimuth of the obstacles can be expressed by inter-aural time difference (ITD) and inter-aural level difference (ILD) that are two important cues in a binaural system. These are the principal cues for sound localization, to detect sound source. In this system, the obstacle is substituted with a sound source. The visually impaired receive sound information of obstacles by headphone.

This paper is to develop the sensing system for opening-force measurement such as O-Ring muscular meridian. We designed to overcome the functional limit that the conventional force-sensor can measure just the closing-force. Therefore, the new sensor can meet a variety of application as well as O-Ring test. The structure of the new sensor is an actuator-type system using an electromagnet. That is made up of mechanical system, electromagnet, current transformer and computer interface circuit. Driving software and user interface program of the new sensor system also is explained in this paper.

This paper explains the system which finds the data of the joint of Wire Frame(that express the body structure of the golfer) from standard golf swing movie. Also, this paper used interpolation and the method which modify the distance between a joint and a close joint to general new joint data. Last this paper explains the system that make a standard golf swing attitude by continuous display the static attitude(which are formed with Wire Frame) of golf swing operations.

In this paper, we describe a millimeter-wave radiation system developed for stimulating acupuncture points, and an analyzing system developed for monitoring the change of physiological signals after the stimulation such as ECG, skin temperature, skin potential and skin resistance. The systems are to be used to investigate the treatment efficacy and biological effects of the millimeter-wave, and eventually, can be used to study the acupuncture meridian system theory in the traditional Korean medicine.

EEG(Electroencephalography) is generated by electrical activity between neurons in cortical. Waveform of EEG is changed according to body and mental states. Therefore EEG is used to diagnosis of encephalophyma and epilepsy, etc. Also EEG is used to HCI(Human-Computer Interface). This paper describes estimation of orientation and location of dipole sources. The forward model is three-layer spherical head model and current dipole model. Using analytical solution, EEG is generated. Using MNLS(Minimum-Norm Least-Square) method, orientation and location of dipole moment is estimated.

We introduce a personal identification method which can find user's ID without any help of the user. To do this, there has been two approaches, vision-based and pressure-based. Pressure-based approach has some advantages compared than vision-based one in the aspects of illumination, occlusion, and the amount of data. In the previous study about pressure-based personal identification, there are some restrictions about human body posture for extracting normalized footprints. Since this approach cannot be extended unconscious and continuos identification, we suppose more natural method and verified it by experiments.

Acupuncture effect principle on meridians is what physical stimulation does on general physiology so that it gets into new equilibrium from the fallen function state of human body. However, it is generally accepted that western medicine has regarded the action passageway of various kinds stimulation as nerve fluids tissue or nerve-endocrine-immune system. These regard any action for all meridians as a response to the stimulation. These are not treatments for transmission of the energy. This paper compares the change of electric potential when operator's bio-energy is passed on and when is not. As a result of it, the effect of acupuncture is different when a operator's bio-energy is passed on to meridians and it isn't. Therefore, it means that the general acupuncture is more effective than the insulation one. Moreover, we could certify that there is close relation between an operator's energy transmission and acupuncture effect.

The aim of this study is to analyse the problems occurred by using classical algorithm to synthesize the H
$\infty$ optimal controller. The obtained result of analysis applied to the composition of algorithm for the new H$\infty$ optimal controller which was introduced in this study. The study investigates and compares H$\infty$ optimal controller formed by new algorithm with the one formed by classical algorithm. In particular, robustness related to the robust control is systematically described by using the composition of algorithm for the classical H$\infty$ optimal controller. In addition, the flow charts classified into classical algorithm and new one are discussed to synthesize the H$\infty$ optimal controller. -
The remotely operated underwater robotic vehicle system has been required to inspect some objects such as baffle former bolts and remove foreign objects in reactor vessel of nuclear power plant. In this paper, we have designed the remotely operated underwater robotic vehicle system that includes a long reach arm that is composed of 4 joints to remove foreign objects in a narrow space, a camera for visual test, instrument sensors for vehicle positioning, 4 thrusters for underwater navigation of vehicle, and supervisory control system implemented with industrial PC that includes robot simulator that has the functions of real time visualization, robot work planning and etc.

When the teleoperation system has a signal transmission time delay between slave system and control system, the position tracking performance of the slave system and system stability are likely to be deteriorated. This paper proposes a force reflecting position control scheme for teleoperation system with signal transmission time delay. The proposed scheme not only satisfy the system internal stability but also improves the position tracking performance with disturbance rejection capability. The simulation results show that the proposed control method provides excellent performances.

The increase of vehicles stagnations leads to the increasing attention to the way customers pay and a large number of projects on electronic cash system. Transport system is comprised of a number of advanced technologies, including information processing, communications, control, and electronics. Recently many research on a system which provides contact in order to protect driver's vehicle passage have been carried out. And some potential problems from that system are being reviewed by electronic cash system. In this papers, we suggest RF protocol developing technology using the concept of electronic cash. ATM electronic cash developing is consist of component of pre-developed coin throw, integration of component using its, and production of more requirement-satisfactory ITS solution. Result increase 15∼40% pre-type vehicles stagnations. Especially, we expect this proposed concept would be well adapted to our national environments.

Also, this paper has been studied the HMI(Human Machine Interface) control program and algorithm that guarantee confidential control for the Fire Display System.

Web-based virtual machine/manufacturing system (VMS) utilizes Virtual Device Network (VDN.) VDN inevitably involves the implementation of Distributed Monitoring and Control Networks (DMCN). In general, one needs to integrate device (control) network and IP network to realize DMCN over IP network or internet, which can be viewed as a VDN. In this study, LonWorks networking technology is used fer device network and the transmission characteristics of LonWorks/IP-based VDN is investigated. A method to minimize the transmission delay in the LonWorks/IP networks is also suggested.

DAS(Data Acquisition System) as a ground support equipment has played a critical role in proving the status of ready-to-fire of a rocket system before launch. But it is hard to implement and place a real-time measuring system in a control room at a long distance from the vehicle. In this paper DAS is introduced by being located at the LEC(Launch Equipment Container)[1], 50 meters away from the rocket and connected to remote monitoring system via fiber optics with TCP/IP protocol by means of client/server algorithm. Therefore real-time data acquisition and storage are guaranteed and a convenient and useful MMI (Man-Machine Interface) can be developed.

In this paper, we has been studied self controlled mobile robot system with CCD camera. This system consists of TMS320F240 digital signal processor, step motor, RF module and CCD camera. 2-axis compass and magnetic sensor, we used wireless RF module for movable command transmiting between robot and host PC. This robot go straight until 95 percent filled screen with white color both side from input image. And the robot recognizes obstacle about 95 percent filled something, so it could turn for avoid the obstacle and conclude new path plan. it could get turning angle from 2-axis compass and magnetic sensor.

In this paper, an algorithm is proposed for the automatic movement of the platform on a ladder lift which operates by using hydraulic force. Experimental data of the manual movement operated by experts are acquired and analyzed. The length of movement of the platform is estimated by the number of pulses from an encoder while the platform is moving. The operating characteristics have been extracted from the data. The number of pulses varies whenever the weight of load varies. We propose a model to compensate the difference of the number of pulses. An automatic movement algorithm based on the model is proposed. The platform can start and stop smoothly at the starting point and the destination point. Experimental results show that the error distance at the destination point is less than 5 cm when the length of the ladder is 23 m.

This paper proposes a view direction-based human computer interface(HCI) system using image observation and EMG signal. CCD camera is available for observation relatively small angular view direction. Large angle is recognized by measuring EMG signal of the sternocleidomastoideus, because it is difficult to detect the large angular view direction by CCD observation. From experimental results, we show the proposed HCI system is useful for the disabled.

This paper has been studied the movement of snake robot. In this paper we developed a simulator to simulate the creeping locomotion of a snake robot. This Robot makes possible to analyze the creeping locomotion with the normal-direction slip coupled to gliding along the tangential direction. Using the nonslip condition of the wheels, the robot gains propulsion by means of constrained forces on the wheels caused by bending the joints. The results of simulations show that smooth lateral undulatory motion is achived.

In this paper, we presents the remote inspection activity with a mobile robot at the calandria face areas of the PHWR (pressurized heavy water reactor) nuclear power plants during full power plant operation.. The tele-operated mobile robot has been developed for this task. A 4 wheeled mechanism with the dual reconfigurable crawler arm has been adopted for the ease access to the high radiation area of calandria face. A specially designed extendable long reach mast attached on the mobile platform and the thermal image monitoring system enable human eyes to look into the calandria face. Application of robot will keep human workers from high radiation exposure and enhance the reliability of nuclear power plants.

This paper is about a system development which control and monitor a PLC of the remote-distance through the Internet using the web-browser. In general, the PLC uses its own communication protocol of PLC Manufacture. It is actually impossible to be used through the Internet, because the PLC communication protocol is basically developed to be suitable for short-distance. Therefore, what we need is a transformation system which can convert the PLC communication protocol into the form which can connect to the Internet. In that sense, this paper is that about remote-control method through the WWW ( World Wide Web ). This system have three characteristics. First, it is possible to connect the Internet directly irrespective of CPU, Operating system and browser. Second, it is easy for user to access and treat. Third, it needs only HTML to operate without java or plug-in expansion. In this paper, we will introduce the monitoring and control system of PLC on the Linux with the Apache web-server.

A high accuracy ozone monitor using UV absorption method was developed for ambient ozone monitoring. The system was mainly composed of a high power pulsed xenon lamp as UV source, an optical spectrometer with a high sensitivity linear CCD array as UV detector and signal processing unit. The optical signal from the CCD array that provides unusually high response and excellent optical resolution for ozone concentration was converted to digital signal and the digital signal was displayed on screen using PC interface. The optical signal was propagated using optic fiber to reduce optical loss to increase the accuracy of the measuring system. This paper has been studied a interworking signalling protocol between two hybrid networks by analyzing Satellite B-ISDN architecture, DSS2 Layer 3 Signalling protocol, B-ISUP protocol, S-BISUP protocol stack and so on. Also in the paper, messages and primitives have been defined for B-ISDN's Connection Type, Ownership and each protocol in order to connect point-to-multipoint. The ozone sensing properties of the CCD ozone monitor was compared with those of the photo multiplier ozone monitor.

This paper describes a design of multiple-mode single-output DC/DC converter which can be used in both up and down conversion. Proposed up/down converter does not produce a negative voltage which is generated in conventional buck-boost type converter. Three types of operation mode(up/down/bypass) are controlled by the input voltage sense and command signals of target output voltage. PFM(pulse frequency modulation) control is adopted and modified for fast tracking and for precise output voltage level with an aid of output voltage sense. Designed DC/DC converter has the performance of less than 5 % ripple and higher than 80 % efficiency. Chip area is 3.50 mm

Under a continuous manufacturing process, two dimension inspection system causes problems as blurring effect and low resolution and requires position calibration between frames. One dimension inspection system is, therefore, being researched as a substitution. In this paper, we implement mechanism of switching memory and processing data for reasonable one dimension inspection system. Redundant weft image and noise was suggested to be reduced by new method using modified morphological process and masked erosion process. From resulting image, line data and possible error information were obtained and constructed as a structure. Finally, error detecting algorithm was performed with this data structure. Processing time of error detecting was 0.625ms per line in applied system and experiment showed 94.7% of error detecting ability. This method is 20% faster in speed and 2.7% higher in error detecting ability comparing with the present method.

And then this paper defines several command packet to improve such defects. So it improves Data Packet Layer of existing USB Bulk Communication. And then this paper make up for it's defects and implements multiplex communication Protocol in order to connect many eMbedded systems.

There are screw, reciprocating type turbo compressor by structure in an air compressor which is essential equipment on the industrial spot. Recently, the application range of a turbo compressor tend to be wide gradually. And this type of compressor needs high speed rotation of impeller in structure so high ratio gearbox and conventional induction motor driving required. This mechanical system have results of increased moment of inertia and mechanical friction loss. Recent studies of modern turbo compressor have been applied to developing super high speed BLDC motor and driver which remove gearbox that make its size small and mechanical friction loss minimum. To accomodate this tendency, we tried to develope a super high speed motor drive system for 150Hp, 70,000rpm direct drive Turbo compressor using DSP(Digital Signal Processor) and SVPWM(Space Vector Modulation PWM) technique. The results of this specific application show that super high speed driver and controller could be implemented well with digital electronics.

In this paper, we designed and made an image processing board that converts analog NTSC CVBS from CCD camera into digital image, stores it in a memory and accomplishes an appropriate digital image processing suitable to our application. And then loaded it on the self-controlled mobile vehicle and verified its performance by controlling the self-controlled mobile vehicle to avoid obstacles and arrive at the destination through various digital image processes. From the result, the self-controled mobile vehicle system avoided obstacles and got the destination correctly. We knew that designed image processing board is enough to realize the real-time control system.

In this paper, we propose an efficient bias circuit for hearing aid using discrete BJT. The collector feedback bias circuit, widely used for the hearing aid, has a resister for negative feedback. As the resistor affects AC and DC simultaneously, it is quite difficult to adjust amplifier gain without changing DC bias point. The previous bias circuit also has weak point to be oscillated by the positive feedback of power noise if gain of hearing aid is high. In the proposed circuit, we can reduce the two weak points of the previous circuit by adding a resistor which is
${\beta}$ times larger than collector resistor between base of BJT and power supply. -
This paper proposes a novel scheme of designating non-cacheable addresses of memories in embedded systems of multi-master architectures without a Memory Management Unit (MMU). As a solution for data coherency problem between external memories and a cache memory, we proposes a cache masking scheme by allocating the most significant bit of address not used in 32-bit address system as indicator bit to designate non-cacheable address. As this scheme enables non-cacheable area designation every address, the simpler in the aspect of hardware and more flexible size of non-cacheable area can be obtained.

This paper has been realized PCB insert machine automation system. For the reduction of the install programming time as well as possible, a new technique is addressed. In detail, an image frame is initially divided into one area whose size decreases according to the distance from hole to hole on PCB. Searching center of hole using a threshold method after median filtering. At every moment of mouse click, area is shifted to locate the hole, and detect a center of hole in a new area. Experimental results are demonstrated to verify the superiority of this scheme in detecting position of part by comparing with a man of experience.

This paper presents a study on the design and implementation of modulized I/O buffer control system for large capacity cable check. A 8bit I/O buffer basic module which has feedback loops with input and output buffers is simulated in PSpice and implemented with logic gates. This system is composed of 18 sub-boards which have 3 channels of 32bit data buses, and of a main board with MPC860 microprocessor.

This paper proposes a PWM circuit using CMOS OTAs. The features of the proposed PWM circuit are IC oriented circuits, simple configuration, and bias current controlled output. In order to verily the validity of the proposed circuit, it is simulated by H-SPICE program. Futhermore, the proposed circuit is integrated on chip using 0.35
$\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology. -
In this paper, we implement the volume pulse detection system which can quantitatively represent an artery elasticity. The system consists of transducer which has IRLED-photodiode detecter, temperature sensor, filters, preprocessing circuits, A/D converter, serial communication part and computer system. In order to presume the artery elasticity information we measure the volume pulse at four points and then evaluate the transition time, distance and the correlation coefficient of the pulse wave between the points. We test the system with 10 subjects during the week for basic experiment and obtain the data at four points. As the result of experiment, we can detect normalized volume pulse wave and evaluated parameter with effectively.

In this paper, the circuit of AC Choppers for
$CO_2$ laser Power Supply are proposed and investigated. IGBT-controlled ac voltage regulators, operating at high frequency chopping mode. Chopping-to-supply duty ratio plays an important role in terms of laser output. Laser input energy is varied by controlling the leakage transfomer used with the proposed system. This improved circuit employs a 3 electrode-type and Ring Blower. This improved circuit system has many advantages compared with the conventional SMPS such as simple design requirment, easy implementation, high reliability, low switching loss, and consequently high efficiency. As a result, the maximun output was 16W at duty-ratio of 92%, total gas mixture of$CO_2$ :$N_2$ : He = 1 : 9 : 15, total pressure of 15torr. -
In this study, we used a 16-bit microprocessor, 80C196KC for a control part in order to develop a multi-functional wheel-chair system, and implemented a joy-stick to control this system. For the complete system, we used a commercial electromotive wheelchair as a basic plant, and applied an encoder to get the rotating number of the motor to transfer data to the MCU to control the motor. We used PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) method to control the wheel-chair motor where a H-bridge circuit was configured. We used the fuzzy control algorithm for the operation of DC motor, which was attached to the electromotive wheelchair and manipulated following the change of the joystick position while a user was controlling the joystick. He also could control the speed and direction of DC motor as well as control position information.

For accurate interpretation, ECG signal is measured by using 12 leads method. We look shape of Measured ECG signal and decide whether interpretation is accurate or not. In this paper, we propose new effective fuzzy decision system which uses fuzzy rules and membership functions for more accurate of ECG wave. We used PR interval, QRS interval and QRS axis as conditional variables for designing fuzzy rules. And decision rule of conclusion variable is determined by (sinus rhythm), (sinus rhythm+left deviation), (sinus rhythm+right deviation) and (sinus rhythm+negative axis). Experimental results showed our system made numerically easy decision possible and had advantage of simple design method.

In this study, we designed the expert system for the diagnosis of stroke. The causes of stroke in central nervous systems are very diverse, so a doctor who treats the patients with stroke must have the expert knowledge for the quick and correct diagnosis and for the adequate medical management. But the primary physician who engaged in the primary care of the patient with stroke does not have the export knowledge for the stroke. So, we need to develop the expert system for assisting the diagnosis of stroke. Also the diagnosis system can be used as simulator for the medical students who study the neurology. In this study, we developed the diagnosis expert system that offer a pathological name provided by artificial neural networks. And we designed the inference engine and interfaces. The artificial neural network is a system that provide a possible diagnosis of stroke. We implemented the system using Windows2000 Server, IIS5.0 and ASP.

This paper has design of ECG pattern classification system using decision of fuzzy IF-THEN rules and neural network. each fuzzy IF-THEN rule in our classification system has antecedent lingustic values and a single consequent class. we use a fuzzy reasoning method based on a single winner rule in the classification phase. this paper in, the MIT/BIH arrhythmia database for the source of input signal is used in order to evaluate the performance of the proposed system. From the simulation results, we can effectively pattern classification by application of learned from neural networks.

In this paper, it is fundamental purpose that finding the relationship between quality and structure of bone, by reconstructing the bone structure image, using ultrasound. In this study, longitudinal transmission method was used for experiment as basic measuring method, which is known as ultrasonic diagnosis method for human tibia. And using ultrasonic velocity parameter that can be detected and calculated with the transmitted signal, new estimated parameter, called Bone Area Fraction, is applied to reconstruct image. Through the in-vitro experiment in cattle's tibia bone, basic sectional image of bone which is similar in real bone structure image can be reconstructed.

대부분의 보조기 및 의족은 기계식이 주류이며 환자가 착용시 정상보행은 부드럽지 못하고 원활한 보행을 위해서는 장기간 동안 훈련이 요구된다. 따라서 대퇴의족에서 발생하는 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 본 연구에서는 대퇴절단자(transfermoral amputee)의 보행을 정상보행에 일치하는 보행 능력을 복원하기 위해 근전도 신호와 인공신경망을 이용하여 적응 PID제어기를 설계하였고 그 제어 결과를 제시하였다.

The match-on-token is a system which executes the user-authentication on the system using the user's biometric information. Nowadays, due to increase of request of the secure user-authentication on various parts, it comes to more use. In this paper, the match-on-token system under development by ETRI is described. The system consists of a host and an emulator board. USB is employed as the communication channel between them. First, the hooting code of the emulator board was programmed and tested in order that USB programs and the finger-print matching program can be executed correctly. Then, host programs cooperating with the board was designed, implemented and tested. Finally, future research including optimization of applications on the match-on-token will be mentioned.

In this study, we measure and analyzed variation of EEG signal by anesthesiologist progress step. In an experiment, the EEG signal was acquired and analyzed as 5 steps(prior surgical operation, during induction, surgical operation, awakening, posterior surgical operation). As a result, we confirm the anesthesiologist progress phase, concluded the possibility of anesthesia depth because using SEF and MF, and Delta ratio confirmed that can presume operating patient's consciousness state.

In this study, the object is a development on uroflowmetry system to detect a voiding symptom conveniently in home or hospital. The hardware was composed of mechanism and system circuit part, the software was divided into firmware and PC program part. The following experiment was performed to evaluate an ability of classification and fitness. First, the following parameters was calculated in each flow curve pattern. The parameters are MFR, AFR, VOL, VT, FT, and TMF. A significant difference among parameters was examined through a statistical analysis for extracted parameters between normal and abnormal group. In the next work, the following experimentation was performed to classify the voiding symptom. Analysis of congregate rate was examined to find out classification possibility about each symptom of BPH, voiding difficulty, detrusor failure and hyperreflexia, unstable bladder. The uroflow data with the above symptom was divided into normal and abnormal group using fuzzy classifier. and that was performed appending the other group again. Fuzzy classification result using MFR and AFR was superior by 89.6 % more than grouping evaluation including VOL. -
In this study, we implement the potable blood gas analyzer measuring pH, pCO
$_2$ and pCO$_2$ of the arterial blood. The implemented system by this study is divided into hardware and software part and also the hardware portion is parted by mechanism and electronic circuit unit. The system program is composed of operating, washing, correcting and measuring program. And to correct the system, two-point calibration method is used, one-point calibration method is also added for more accuracy, and system program is coded. For verifying the implemented system, We examine to response property of each electrode. And evaluate accuracy of the system using standard reagent and was construed as statistical. -
The EMI filter used in switching apparatus is designed on the basis of personal designer experience. A try and error approach leads to a considerables waste of time without assurance to come out to a good solution. The difficulty in the right choice of the component values resides on the dominant role played by their parasitic components at high frequencies and is aggravated by the poor knowledge of the internal impedance of the noise generators. In this paper, we proposed the design technique for the EMI filter effectively using the LISN and the EMI analyzer in the industrial field.

A design for the input filter and the output filter of a single-phase UPS system is proposed. And also, this paper describes a reduction of the DC voltage ripple of a single-phase UPS. The input power of proposed UPS fluctuates with twice frequency of the utility source, which causes DC voltage fluctuation. The reduction of the DC voltage fluctuation requires a large DC link capacitor. The proposed method uses a LC series resonant filter paralleled with a conventional smoothing capacitor. The effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed by simulation results.

In recent years, various power factor correction(PFC) circuits for the electronic ballasts have been proposed. In this paper, we have studied several passive PFC and compared with their characteristics, used in the electronic ballast for fluorescent. Especially, Improved Valley Fill Circuit (IVF) and the circuit IVF PFC combined with Charge Pumping Capacitors(CPCs) have been reaserched for High Power Factor. In conclusion, we have researched characteristics of Passive PFC and proposed the most effective PFC method.

In this paper, we have studied about the determination methode of the operating frequency, and the design technique for the self-exited electronic ballast. Because we use the saturation characteristics of the ferrite core, the variation of the B/H curve characteristics for the selected core in the most important factor for the stabilization. Although it is impossible to fix the operation frequency, the self-exited electronic ballast is widely used because of its cost and the simplicity of its structure.

In this Paper, we suggested the Half-Bridge inverter for the automotive HID electronic ballast. electronic ballast for automotive HID lamp should be supplied by low-frequency square wave avoiding the acoustic resonance(11kHz ∼ 825kHz). When the HID lamp is hot state, the electronic ballast should supply the sufficient current for a few milli-second to the lamp at the re-strike ignition state. that is called take-over current. We have introduced the new take-over current control method that could have reduced the peak current and supplied the sufficient take-over current.
