Purpose - This study aims to determine whether history education for Korean-Chinese living in Korea affects their understanding for Korean society. It also aims to determine Korean-Chinese compatriots to recognize the necessity for History education. Research design, data, and methodology - In this study, two parts were examined, which were the analysis on the influence of history education and the Korean-Chinese compatriots' adaptation to Korean society. In the case of data survey, Korean-Chinese compatriots were selected who are living in Korea. The survey was conducted using the samples of 200 questionnaires in total. Results - The results of the analysis shows that their residence adaptation in Korea has a positive impact on future nationality. Moreover, the residence adaptation in Korea has positive implications for their future nationality and their longer residence duration in Korea has an effect on their hope for living in Korea. Conclusions - The study showed the historical consciousness and related demographic characteristics of Korean compatriots living in Korea. It also showed that the longer their education duration for Korean history in China, the more difficult their adaptation would be. Therefore, the long term effects of adaptation depended on the emphasis of Korean history.

The purpose of this study was to examine volumes 1 through 51-8 of the Journal of the Korean Society of Costume in relation to past trends In content area of research reported, authorship, and funding source. Six subject matter areas were indentified: history of costume, apparel design and aesthetics, fashion marketing, social psychological aspects of clothing, clothing construction, textile science and etc. Of the 892 articles studies, history of costume research represented 40.1%(358). Studies which focused on apparel design and aesthetics increased in number as the journal matured. 51.8%(462) were authored by a sole individual. 48.2%(430) were authored by above two persons. Funding sources were indentified in 15.7%(140) of the 892 articles. College and university grants 72.9%(102) were acknowledged most frequently as a funding source.

The fundamental concept of shared street is integration of traffic and pedestrian activity as a positive principle for street planning. Shared streets have been very successful in several countries in terms of reductions in traffic accidents, increased social interaction and children's play, and a high degree of satisfaction by the residents. This paper proposes the concept of shared street to solve traffic problem without reorganizing traditional street structure and without disturbing traditional function of street as a living space for residents. And this study examines detail concepts and techniques of the shared street and applies them to a pedestrian oriented streetscape design of "Ducksugung-Gil," Seoul, which was one of the most important streets in Korean modernization history.n history.

The meanings of colors vary with time and space. For the most important events in a person's life, such as wedding or funeral, people use color to symbolize their identities or roles. Traditionally, the colors of dress had indicated the wearer's age, class, or marital status in Korea. However, Korea's exposure to western cultures has affected in many dimensions of its modern history. Especially, influenced by social change, the traditional dress has undergone many modifications in forms, silhouettes, materials, and color. However, women's mourning dress has been maintained as a long lasting tradition and the use of white in mourning dress has been regarded as a norm until recently, while men have worn a regular black suit with a black tie. But, the shift from white to black in mourning dress has been observed in recent mourning practices. To examine this change of color in Korean traditional mourning dress, a historical approach utilizing multiple resources, such as interview, observations of events, documents, and archival records was applied.

The organization of modern society is suddenly changing from the modern society to the ultra modern informationalized society. Various social members must satisfy cultural and artistic desires to serve museum concept and function to move the informationalized society. A lot of natural history museum in the world build cyber space exhibition lines. Audiences do not directly visit but they view but they view the exhibit, get an education, participate in the cultrue programs and earn the museum's informations. Especially, in the case of national and public museums in Korea, they do not concerned the museum architecture before processing the character and collections of the museum. Cyber museums determine museum character, policy, information, collections converge of opinion voluntary collection and grasp of location, because cyber museum can be finished be4fore the work of the future museum.

This study is about Foucault's conceptual and methodological relevance for structural analysis of Korean traditional space design history. By Foucault's Theory, regionalism is product of the instrumentality of space, power, knowledge and provide the basis for making the operation of power both spatial and temporal. The purpose of this study is to establish topographical map of historical progress and to shed new light on the forming of identity in Korean traditional space design on the poststructural-archaeological aspect. The process of this study is illustrated as follows: At first, it suggests Foucault's 'Theory of archaeology'. It mentions 'historical apriori' and archive, collateral space and general grammar as theoretical background of archaeological logic. Secondly, it clarifies 'statements' depending on the conditions that is 'episteme' in which they emerge and exist within a field of discourse. And it discuss Korean traditional space design concept as a social product on the situated character of interaction in time-space. Finally, it studies genetic variation process of Korean traditional space design based on the social progress in Korean society. And it analyses practical actions of 'Statements' in terms of general grammar and textuality.

Despite the relatively short history of Social Network Sites or Services (SNS), it has quickly gained popularity with more than seven hundred million users all over the globe. The SNS emerged as one of the strongest cultural influences for the contemporary society. The SNS would provide both chances and challenges for Education. The main purpose of the article was to explore the way education react and adapt to the emergence of social network and SNS. It tried to provide major theoretical grounds that bridge education and social network. In the due process, the researchers have examined the curriculum and instructional design process of education from the perspective of disruptive and sustainable aspect of SNS technology. Consequently, four major theoretical grounds were identified and reviewed: Gibson's theory of affordance, Vygotsky's social constructivism, Rha's human visual intelligence theory, and the network theory. By investigating these theories, the educational potentials of social network and SNS were emerged. The SNS was viewed as a new medium with abundant potentials of expanding the learning space, empowering the affective aspects of learning, and facilitating the formation of group intelligence. Finally, some future implications and challenges of SNS were suggested.

The purpose of this study was to examine the tendency of 272 theses which published in the Korean institute of interior design journal from 1992.4 to 1999.6. The major finding were summarized as follows; 1) The subjects of the these in the journal were mostly related to design solution or design theory. Therefore, more theses for design history or human behavior are needed for the future. 2) The purposes of the these in the journal were classified into two groups, first; grasp and investigation of the phenomenon in the design or design related theory, second; suggestion of problem solving ideas in the design or design related study. There were 6 categories in each group and the diversified research purpose in the theses is very desirable trend for the future development in interior design studies or industry. 3) The research methods of the theses in the journal were literature research, experimental research, survey research and design research. The data collection methods in the KIID journal is similar to the that of field, natural science or social science.

이 연구에서는 장애학생을 위한 통합교육 사회과 교수·학습자료가 보편적 학습설계 측면에서 어떻게 구현되었는지 살펴보았다. 분석을 위해 2015 개정 교육과정 초등학교 사회과 3~6학년까지 일반 교과서 내용을 장애학생을 위해 교수적합화(adaptation)한 「장애학생 통합교육 교수·학습자료: 사회과」교재를 선정하였다. 사회과 3~6학년 교재의 세부영역은 일반사회, 지리, 역사이며 총 20개 단원을 분석하였다. 내용분석기준은 CAST(2018)에서 제시된 UDL 3개 원리에 따른 9개 항목을 기준으로 하였다. 연구결과 사회과 교수·학습자료는 다양한 행동과 표현수단의 제공 원리가 가장 많이 적용되었으며, 다양한 표상수단의 제공 원리와 다양한 참여수단의 제공 원리 순으로 적용된 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과에 입각하여 이 사회과 자료는 통합교육 환경에서 특수교사나 교과서를 개발하는 교사들이 장애학생을 위한 교육과정과 수업을 설계하는 가르치는 자원으로 활용할 수 있음을 시사하였다.

This study intends to understand the change of the library's bookshelves shape, composition and arrangement based on the social-culture in each period. For this purpose, this study analyzes the morphological shift of the library's bookshelves and knowledge information focused on the history of western libraries from the ancient libraries to the modern public libraries before the 20th century. And the results are follows. 1) We can make sure that the changes of the library's bookshelves are based on the environmental factors like social cultural political factors and also understand that the knowledge information are developed based on the function which is decided by the needs of the times and the serious necessities of users. With this reason, the morphology and the function of the library's bookshelves have been changed. 2) The characters and meanings of the library's bookshelves are changed with the times from movable type to fixed type, from closing type to opening type, from privileged use to public use, from religious contents to general scientific contents. 3) The morphology of the library's bookshelves are shifted from cylindrical box to Chest type Press type and Lectern system, Stall system, Wall system and advanced to Mixed(Stall+Wall) system. 4) The construction and arrangement methods of the library's bookshelves are determined by the convenience and efficiency of the installation for the perusal environments as well as the regarding to the social-cultural factors. The arrangement criteria are determined by the security topics in the earlier stage, after that determined by the lightening topics and nowadays the access topics to the information. These analysis results are very useful to research the technology of the library's bookshelves to be changed continuously and also to forecast the morphology of the library's bookshelves can be planned in the spaces of the future libraries.
