전파 뇌충격전압 측정용 쉴드저항분압기의 직각파 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the step response characteristics in shielded resistor divider for full lightning impulse voltage)

  • This paper presents the development technology of standard shielded resistor divider for full lightning impulse voltage. The ability of large-capacity power apparatus to withstand lighting stroke is usually evaluated by means of full lightning impulse voltage. Lightning impulse voltage test has been essential to evaluate the insulation performance of electrical power apparatus. Recently international standard (IEC 60) on high voltage measurement techniques is being revised and requests a formal traceability of high voltage measurements. Therefore, general interest for this area has grown considerably during last years, and several international intercomparisons have already completed worldwide, i.e. Europe, Japan, America etc., In this viewpoint, we have also investigated the step response of the standard shielded resistor divider, which satisfies the IEC recommendation.

한 개의 저항을 사용한 비균등 Gysel 전력 분배기 (Unequal Gysel Power Divider Using External One Resistor)

  • 본 논문은 비균등 Gysel 전력 분배기에서 사용되는 두 개의 외부저항을 ABCD 파라미터 해석을 통하여 한 개의 저항으로 변환하는 식을 유도하고, 구현한 내용이다. 기존의 비균등 Gysel 전력 분배기는 두 개의 외부 저항을 이론적인 값으로 구현하기 어렵기 때문에 출력포트 사이의 격리도 및 반사 손실을 얻기가 어렵다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 새롭게 설계한 비균등 Gysel 전력분배기는 전송선로와 한 개의 저항을 사용하여 기존 전력 분배기와 동일한 전기적 특성을 얻었다. 이러한 설계방법의 타당성을 보기위해 중심 주파수 1 GHz에서 4:1 비균등 Gysel 전력분배기를 제작하였고, 이것의 특성이 시뮬레이션과 동일함을 확인하였다.

  • Since the ultra-high voltage power apparatus are recommended to withstand switching surge generated from the electric power system, the switching impulse voltage is generally used to verify this requirement at the testing laboratories. Recently, the international standard(IEC 60060-2) related to the high voltage measurement techniques is revised requiring a traceability of measuring system for high voltage measurements. In this paper, a reference divider for switching impulse voltage is developed satisfying the revised. IEC standard and the possibility of applications has been investigated. Therefore, the characteristics of the high and low voltage side resistor and the shielding ring have been analyzed including the step response characteristics of the prototype divider. Throughout various efforts, it is confirmed that our measuring device has shown compatible characteristics as a reference divider.

  • 본 논문에서는 ${\pi}$형 다중결합선로와 RCR 삽입구조를 이용하여 양호한 절연특성을 가짐과 동시에, 종래에 비해 상당히 축소된 형태의 초소형 윌킨슨 전력분배기를 GaAs MMIC상에 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 RCR 삽입설계법에 의해 윌킨슨 전력분배기의 선로길이가 ${\lambda}$/46까지 축소되어도 중심주파수에서 -23 [dB]의 절연특성이 유지되었으며, -8 [dB]의 절연특성을 가지는 종래의 ${\pi}$형 다중결합선로 윌킨슨 전력분배기에 비해 절연특성이 개선되었다. 본 논문에서 제안한 윌킨슨 전력분배기의 면적은 0.304 [$mm^2$]로서 GaAs상에 동일한 조건으로 제작된 종래의 윌킨슨 전력분배기 면적의 12.1%밖에 되지 않는다. 상기 윌킨슨 전력분배기는 C/X 밴드에서 양호한 RF 특성을 나타내었다.

Modified Wilkinson Power Divider Using Transmission Lines for Various Terminated Impedances and an Arbitrary Power Ratio

  • This paper introduces a modified Wilkinson power divider that uses uniform transmission lines for various terminated impedances and an arbitrary power ratio. For the designed power ratio, the proposed divider changes only the electrical lengths of the transmission lines between the input and output ports, and those between the output ports and the isolation resistor. In this case, even when various termination impedances of the ports exist, the divider characteristics are satisfied. To verify the feasibility of the proposed divider, two circuits were designed to operate at a frequency of 2 GHz with 2:1 and 4:1 power splitting ratios and various terminated impedances of 40, 70, and $60{\Omega}$ for one circuit, and 50, 70, and $60{\Omega}$ for the other. The measurement and simulation results were in good agreement.

  • This paper presents a structure of the Wilkinson power divider that can suppress the 9ea harmonic output. The power divider consists of ${\lambda}/4n$ open stubs, which are located at the $3{\lambda}/4$ branches and parallel connection of resistor which shunts the output ports. Experimental results show that this power divider suppresses from 1st to 9th harmonic components to less than -37dB, while maintaining the characteristics of a conventional Wilkinson power divider; featuring an equal power split, a simultaneous impedance matching at all ports and a good isolation between output ports. these results agree quite well with the simulation results.

광대역 다단 전력 분배기의 일반화된 설계 방법 (A General Design Method for the Broadband Multi-Section Power Divider)

  • A novel multi-section power divider configuration is Proposed to obtain wide-band frequency performance up to microwave frequency region. Design procedures for the proposed microwave broadband power divider are composed of a Planar multi-section three-Ports hybrid and a waveguide transformer design procedures. The multi∼section power divider is based on design theory of the optimum quarter- wave transformer Furthermore, in order to obtain the broadband isolation performance between the two adjacent output ports, the odd mode equivalent circuit should be matched by using the lossy element such as resistor. The derived design formula for calculating these odd mode∼matching elements is based on the singly terminated filter design theory. The waveguide transformer section is designed to suppress the propagation of the higher order modes such as waveguide modes due to employing the metallic electric wall. Simulation and experiment show excellent performance of multi section power divider.

마이크로웨이브 방사형 전력 결합기 설계 (The design of a microwave radial power combiner)

  • In ahigh power amplifier design, power combiner/divider is used to connect low power amplifiers in parallel. The raidal structure of the powe combiner/divider has not only a good characteristics of port-to-port isolation but also an advantage of giving a redundancy to the structure itself by using RF switches. The parastics of a power resistor, that would be a problem in design process, are removed by both slot lines and cavity resonators, and the comon node in the circuit is rdesigned as a planar topology, and thus a new type of 4-way radial power combiner/divider is accomplished at 1840 ~ 1870 MH PCS frequency band. The insertion loss, reflection, and isolation characteristics of 40way radial power combiner/divider which can be adaptable to PCS system in this thesis are -0.3dB, -24dB,a dn -27dB respectively.
