포용도시 개념의 다차원적 모색 (Conceptualizing the Inclusive City from Multidimensional Perspectives)

  • Making Inclusive Cities is a new urban agenda for better future cities. Inclusive cities should be conceptualized from multidimensional viewpoints including various academic disciplines beyond a single discipline such as urban planning/design and urban engineering which are primary disciplines to have handled urban challenges. The aim of this research is to propose diverse approaches to examine the concept of the inclusive city. This study examines the inclusive city from the lens of co-evolution, social exclusion, inclusiveness, and amenity, looking forward to more academic attempts to investigate this worldwide urban agenda.

Content Analysis of the Facebook Pages of Selected Academic Libraries in Vietnam

  • This study explores Facebook use in Vietnamese academic libraries by analysing libraries' posts on their Facebook pages and library users' interaction with those posts. A total of 260 posts on four academic libraries' Facebook pages were examined using the content analysis method. The findings reveal that Facebook was mainly used to encourage reading and to transmit announcements. Most of the academic libraries published one post a week. The photo was the most frequent media type of libraries' posts and gained a higher level of interaction than other posts. According to the research results, the user engagement was low, and the user interaction with libraries' posts generally was in the form of reaction. The findings can help better understand Facebook use in Vietnamese academic libraries and may assist libraries in creating a plan for using Facebook more effectively.

부모자녀 의사소통이 고등학생의 학업스트레스와 교우관계에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Parental-adolescent Communication on Academic Stress and Peer Relationship Perceived by High School Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of parent-adolescent communication on academic stress and peer relationship perceived by high school students. Method: A total of 154 students were recruited from a high school in C city. Data were collected by means of self-reported questionnaires from September 1 to 18, 2015 and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis with SPSS 20.0. Results: Positive correlations were found between father-adolescent communication and peer relationship(r=.35, p<.001), and between mother-adolescent communication and peer relationship(r=.22, p=.006). Negative correlations were found between father-adolescent communication and academic stress (r=-.23, p=.004), and between mother-adolescent communication and academic stress(r=-.17, p=.039). Conclusion: These results suggest that identifying the effects of father-adolescent communication and parent-adolescent communication programs on academic stress and peer relationship is required.

도시 브랜드 이미지가 도시 브랜드 인지도와 도시 충성도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of City Brand Image on City Brand Recognition and City Loyalty)

  • Purpose - Competition among cities around the world are rapidly shifting from competition of production factors such as labor costs and quality of raw materials to competition between the consumption factors such as quality of life, settlement environment, culture, and place. The entry into the era of competition between consumption factors is not only attracting investment for strengthening city competitiveness, but also actively inducing urban image reconstruction and new image making. Therefore, various studies related to urban marketing are being carried out. The object of this study is to investigate the effect of city brand image on city brand recognition and city loyalty based on the questionnaire of external citizens about Changwon city. Research design, data, and methodology - The data were collected from 200 Seoul and Busan citizens. Reliability and exploratory factor analysis were conducted through the SPSS program, and confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were conducted by using the AMOS program. Results - As a result of the hypothesis test, six hypotheses were adopted among the nine hypotheses. In summary, pleasant image, dynamic image, and good administrative image have a significant positive impact on city brand recognition. The magnanimous image did not have a significant effect on city brand recognition. In the impact of city brand image on city loyalty, magnanimous image and good administrative image had significant positive impact on city loyalty. Pleasant images and dynamic images did not significantly affect city loyalty. In addition, city brand recognition positively influenced city loyalty. Conclusions - First, it is possible to say that there is an academic significance of this research in its contribution to regional revitalization by investigating mutual influences in urban aspect by combining place marketing with image, recognition, and loyalty. Secondly, kinetic images such as pleasant image and dynamic image have more influence on recognition, and static images such as magnanimous images have more influence on loyalty. So, further research will be necessary to establish theories. Finally, In order to increase city brand recognition and city loyalty to local city, efforts should be made to improve urban images such as pleasant image, magnanimous image, dynamic image, and good administrative image.

자아탄력성, 학업 스트레스가 간호대학생의 우울에 미치는 영향 (The Impacts of Ego-resilience and Academic stress on Depression among Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This descriptive study investigated the impacts of ego-resilience and academic stress on depression among nursing students. Methods: We recruited a total of 191 nursing students at C University located in C city through convenience sampling. Online data collection was conducted from August 22 to September 4, 2021. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. Results: The results showed academic stress (β=.45, p<.001) and ego-resilience (β=-.14, p=.029) significantly affected on depression and explained 32.7% of depression of nursing student. Conclusion: To control nursing students' depression, it may need to develop programs enhancing ego-resilience and controlling academic stress and test the effect.

A Study of Academic Achievement and Core Competence according to University Admission Types in Nursing Students

  • In this paper, we propose to investigate the differences of academic achievement and core competence according to university admission types. Research subjects were 159 nursing students in G city. The tool used in this study was Collegiate Students Essential Skills Assessment developed by the KW University. The 6 areas measured with the tool are: humanities, Humanism, self-directedness, creative competence, practice competence and global competence. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Scheffe' test and pearson's correlation coefficient using SPSS WIN 18.0 Program. There were significant differences in core competence according to university admission types. But There were significant differences in academic achievement according to university admission types. And significant positive correlation between academic achievement and core competece was not founded. But significant positive correlation of 6 core competencies were founded. Based on the result of this study, it is possible to serve basic data for establishing better university admission type.

부모의 학업기대 유형과 청소년의 적응 (Parental Expectations of Academic Performance and Adolescents' Adjustment Behaviors)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relative importance of parental expectations to adolescents'psychological, behavioral, school-based adjustment, and academic achievement. Subjects of this study consisted of 359 adolescents(177 boys and 182 girls) in Cheong-ju City. There was a statistically meaningful difference in the effect of parental expectations of academic performance on adolescents'adjustment according to sex of adolescents'. Maternal pressure, support form mothers, and paternal pressure were significant factors predicting adolescents'relative psychological adjustment and academic achievement. Support and pressure from mothers were associated with adolescents'behavioral adjustment. The research suggest that maternal pressure was the strongest risk factors in relation to the effects of parental expectations of academic performance on adolescents'adjustment.

청소년의 학업스트레스와 행복의 관계에서 대인관계 유능감의 조절효과 (The Moderating Effects of Interpersonal Competence in the Correlation between Academic Stress for Adolescents and Happiness)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the moderating effects of interpersonal competence on the effects of academic stress on happiness of adolescents. For this research a survey on academic stress, interpersonal competence, and happiness was conducted with a total 487 high school students living in Daegu city. The collected data was statically processed by using SPSS 20.0 according to frequency, descriptive statistics, and multi regression analysis. The main results can be summarized as follow. First, Academic stress affected the adolescents' happiness. The higher the level of academic stress was, the smaller the adolescent's happiness. second, between academic stress and happiness, conflict management and disclosing personal information played a moderating role to reducing the academic stress. That is, it was confirmed that interpersonal competence played a moderating role on the effect that academic stress had on adolescent happiness. In conclusion, this study can be practically applied as basic information to increase happiness on adolescents. In addition, the results provided valuable insights for developing program the intervene for adolescents' happiness.

간호대학생의 학업스트레스에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting Academic Stress of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study were to identify degree and the relationship between of self-efficacy, social support, and academic stress of nursing college students. Method: This study was a descriptive research study to analyze the factors affecting academic stress. Data were collected by structured questionnaires from June 10 to 30, 2020. The survey conducted an online survey of 159 students in D and B city. Data were analyzed descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and Stepwise multiple regression Results: Academic stress were correlated with self-efficacy(r=-.41, p<.001) and social support(r=-.40, p<.001). In a multiple regression, self-efficacy(β=-.170, p=.010), social support(β=-.137, p=.042) were associated academic stress. These factors attributed to 22.2% of the total variance in academic stress. Conclusion: Therefore the factors affective intervention techniques need to be applied to the development of programs to upgrade mental health academic stress of nursing students.

과학기술거점의 진화: 대덕연구단지의 사례 (Evolution of Science and Technology Poles : The Case of Daedeok Science Town)

  • 이 논문에서는 "과학기술거점의 일생"이란 관점에서 대덕연구단지의 진화과정을 분석 하였다. 이를 위하여 과학기술거점에 대한 이론적 논의를 살펴본 후 대덕연구단지의 진화과정을 개념 정립기($1968{\sim}1977$년), 단지 조성기($1978{\sim}1992$년), 클러스터 형성기(1993년 이후)로 구분하여 검토하였다. 대덕연구단지는 개념을 정립하고 단지를 조성하는 데 상당한 기간이 소요되었으며, 연구학원도시에서 출발한 후 전문연구단지를 거쳐 혁신클러스터로 진화해 왔다. 그러한 과정에서 대덕연구단지는 통제적 혁신체제에서 네트워크 혁신체제로, 국지적 혁신체제에서 상호작용적 혁신체제로, 대학 연구소 주도형에서 실리콘밸리형으로 변모할 가능성을 보이고 있다. 이러한 연구는 과학기술거점의 유형에 대한 분석이 한국의 특정한 사례에 대한 역사적 고찰에 의해서도 이루어질 수 있다는 점을 보여주고 있다.
