The exposure dose form recycling of a large amount of the steel scrap from the KRR-1&2 decommissioning activities was evaluated, and also the clearance level(draft) was derived. The maximum individual dose and collective dose were evaluated by modifying internal dose conversion factor which was based on the concept of effective dose in ICRP 60, applied to the RESRAD-RECYCLE ver 3.06 computing code, IAEA Safety Series 111-P-1.1 and NUREG-1640 as the assessment tool. The result of assessment for individual dose and collective dose is 23.9 $\mu$Sv per year and 0.11 man$.$Sv per year respectively. The clearance levels were ultimately determined by extracting the most conservative value form the results of the generic assessment and specific assessment methodologies. The result of clearance level for radionuclides( $Co^{60}$ , C $s^{l37}$) is less than 1.14${\times}$10$^{-1}$ Bq/g to comply with the clearance criterion(maximum individual dose : 10 $\mu$Sv per year, collective dose : 1 man$.$Sv per year) provided for Korea Atomic Energy Act and relevant regulations.s.

A large amount of carbon monoxide (CO) is generated in circulating fluidized bed combustion, the process whereby a hot cyclone separates unburned fuel. However, calcium sulfate (CaSO4), when combined with a high CO content, can cause fouling on the surface of the steam tube installed inside the integrated recycle heat exchangers (INTREX). In this study, CaSO4 decomposition was investigated using 0.2-3.2 vol.% CO and 1-3 vol.% oxygen (O2) at 850℃ for 20 min in a lab-scale fluidized bed reactor. The results show that CaSO4 decomposes into CaS and CaO when CO gas is supplied, and SO2 emissions increase from 135 ppm to 1021 ppm with increasing CO concentration. However, the O2 supply delayed SO2 emissions because the reaction between CO and O2 is faster than that of CaSO4; nevertheless, when supplied with CaCO3, the intermediate product, SO2 was significantly released, regardless of the CO and O2 supply. In addition, agglomerated solids and yellow sulfur power were observed after solid recovery, and the reactor distributor was corroded. Consequently, a sufficient O2 supply is important and can prevent fouling formation on the INTREX surface by suppressing CaSO4 degradation.

A policy for recycling waste concrete has been extensively studied, but it is still lacking to recycle and reuse as a cementitious powder, and the property has big different depending on the aggregate rates. In this study, the amount of cement powder according to the internal properties of the aggregate were mixed. From as a result, Concrete Powder to play inside the aggregate composition of the cement composition CaO rigs that causes loss of power and strength reduction due to rising real water cement ratio will affect large.
This study aimed at developing high-efficiency RDF(refuse derived fuels) fuel in order to use RDF energy rationally and to recycle industrial product. As most studies in this area are concentrated in large combustion apparatuses such as kilns, but this study was focused on the small-sized heating systems, applying them directly to grate type boiler which has a heating capacity of $66{\sim}132m^2$. The different kinds of fuel are experimented including RDF. Coke and Waste Tire. First, for this, we experimented and analyzed RDF to see the change in its mass and heating value. Also, four kinds of exhaust gas are sampled by gas analyzer including CO, $CO_2$, NO and $NO_2$ at different temperature. As a result, the levels of CO concentration of RDF are higher than these of coke and waste tire. But, the levels of NO, $CO_2$ and $SO_2$ concentration of RDF and coke were lower then the levels when waste tire is burned.

Serving as an excellent adsorbent and inorganic ion exchanger in the water purification field, zeolite 4A has in this work presented a strong capability for purifying radioactive waste, such as $Sr^{2+}$, $Cs^+$, and $Co^{2+}$ in water. During the processes of decontamination and decommissioning of suspended solids and organics in low-level radioactive wastewater, the purification performance of zeolite 4A has been studied. Under ambient temperature and neutral condition, zeolite 4A absorbed simulated radionuclides such as $Sr^{2+}$, $Cs^+$, and $Co^{2+}$ with an absorption rate of almost 90%. Additionally, in alkaline condition, the adsorption percentage even approached 98.7%. After conducting research on suspended solids and organics of zeolite 4A for the treatment of radionuclides, it was found that the suspended clay was conducive to absorption, whereas the absorption of organics in solution was determined by the species of radionuclides and organics. Therefore, zeolite 4A has considerable potential in the treatment of radioactive wastewater.
An all-aluminum radiator made of aluminum was more excellent on environment friendliness, productivity, and cooling efficiency than the plastic tank radiator which was currently widely used in same size as above. A newly designed and manufactured radiator with all parts made of aluminium was ready to re-use without any disassembly process in recycle system so as to improve environment friendliness with low waste cost. Several manufacturing processes of the current plastic tank radiator such as O-ring inserting, and clinching of core to the tank, were eliminated on the manufacturing processes of the all-aluminium radiator, which would increase productivity and reduce production cost. Design criterion of all-aluminum radiator was presented by carrying out theoretical analysis of cooling capacity and there was no difference between analytical data and measurements. Cooling capacity of the all-aluminum radiator increased generally 13% up compared with the plastic radiator even though the pressure drop of air increased.
