Impacts of the Mood State on the Quality of Life in Breast Cancer Survivors (유방암 생존자의 기분상태가 삶의 질에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the impact of the mood state on the quality of life (QOL) of the female breast cancer survivor. The study was cross-sectional survey. This study was conducted from September 10th to September 20th, 2013. The subjects were 120 breast cancer survivors in Seoul city in Korea. The obtained data were analyzed by SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. The mean score of mood state was 39.20 and the mean score of the quality of life was 83.59. The levels of mood state and the quality of life were negatively correlated. The significant factors influencing quality of life were vigor and anger of the mood state, religion that explained 39.1% of the variance. The results suggests that appropriate support service should be provided to improve the quality of life after nurses evaluate breast cancer survivor's mood states and identify the symptoms of mood disturbances.

Relation of Physical Activity and Health-related Quality of Life in Korean Elderly (한국 노인의 신체활동과 건강관련 삶의 질의 관계)

  • This study aims to discover the relations between physical activities of the elderly and their health-related quality of life. For the study, it targeted 720 of the 778 elderly persons whose ages were above 65 for a final analysis except 58 whose physical activities and health-related quality of life could not be evaluated from the data of the first year of the 4th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(KNHANES IV-1), 2007. As a result, it was discovered that there were significant differences in the elderly's health-related quality of life according to age, education, sleeping hours, stress, the number of chronic diseases and subjective awareness of health. In particular, there were significant differences in their health-related quality of life between the group with high physical activity level and the group with low physical activity level. Based on the results above, it is suggested that the persons with higher performance ability of physical activities can have higher quality of living along with increase of energy and further studies dealing with more factors, ranges and periods are needed.

Correlation between Personal Competence of Health Care and Quality of Life among Middle-Aged Adults (중년기 성인의 건강관리역량과 삶의 질의 관계)

  • This study was conducted to identify the relationship between personal competence of health care(PCHC) and quality of life among middle-aged adults. Data were collected using questionnaires from 412 middle-aged parents of university student. There were significant differences in PCHC and quality of life according to educational level, family support, monthly income, exercise over 3times a week, subjective health status. However, religion and drinking made a differece only in PCHC on the other hand, sex and disease affected quality of life. All subdomains of PCHC had significant positive correlations with quality of life. Factors predicting quality of life among subdomains of PCHC were health perception, sociocultural relationship and socioeconomical involvement, which explained about 50.3%. These results indicate a need to develop programs to improve health perception, sociocultural and socioeconomical competence for middle-aged adults.

Effect of Professionalism of Social Workers on Service Quality : Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Social Capital (사회복지사의 전문성이 서비스 질에 미치는 영향 연구 : 사회자본의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study investigated the mediating effect of social capital between social workers' professionalism and service quality. By utilizing a convenience sampling method, a survey data form 276 social workers in Chungbuk province was analyzed. Results of descriptive statistics found that professionalism of social workers is 3.36, subtype of social capital among network being 3.43, credibility is shown for 3.67, and quality of service is confirmed for 4.00points in 5-point Likert scales. Both subtypes of social capital - network and credibility - showed mediating effects in the relations between professionalism and service quality. That is, a causal path of professionalism, social capital and service quality was confirmed by the data. Based on these results theoretical and practical implications for enhancing the level of social support and service quality of social services.

  • The purpose of this research is to identify the service quality of The Independence Hall of Korea, and to investigate what factors of service quality influence to the customer satisfaction and the customer revisit intention As a result of the study, service quality for The Independence Hall of Korea was proposed to be four factors of tangibility, responsiveness, assurance, empathy. It turns out that if the service quality of responsiveness and empathy provided by The Independence Hall of Korea improves, the customers' satisfaction would be increased, and If the customers are satisfied with the service, visitors' intention to revisit would be influenced. The result of the research suggests that the Korea Independence Hall should manage and control these service quality factors to improve customer satisfaction and revisit intention.

  • Most authorities of the Total Quality Management.(TQM) movement emphasize learning and training as an integral part of TQM, and it is well accepted in practice. However, despite this strong normative emphasis on its role, learning and training has not been systematically addressed in the TQM literature for its contents and a, pp.oaches. I first review the concept of TQM, its principles and implementation process to indentify the needs for learning and training, and the nature of experiential learning and training. I then discuss the necessity and effectiveness of experiential learning and training in TQM.

  • The increasing use of computed tomography (CT) as a diagnostic tool creates the need from and efficient means of evaluating the performance of the CT scanner now in use. Accordingly, acceptance testing and quality assurance of CT is of great importance. The aim of this study is to analyze of AAPM CT performance phantom in the CT accreditation program. The modular phantom offers the CT system with which to measure eight performance parameters. The parameters are listed of CT attenuation coefficient of water, noise, uniformity, spatial resolution, contrast resolution, slice thickness (5 and 10 mm), artifacts and alignment. The phantom evaluation was done by two radiologists. The acceptance testing protocol described here in demonstrates the successful of the guidelines for the quality assurance using AAPM CT performance phantom. We need to be upgraded for the CT image quality and make the standard reference of the quality assurance in the CT.

Effects of Medical Service Quality on the Customer Satisfaction and Intention of Revisit in Cancer Patients (의료서비스품질이 암환자의 고객만족과 재이용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze effects of medical service quality on the customer satisfaction and intention of revisit in cancer patients. To achieve purpose of the research, the data was collected from 420 patients in university hospitals using a standardized questionnaires. Using the structural equation modeling(SEM), this study examines the relationship among medical service quality, customer satisfaction and intention of revisit. The results show that the medical service quality factors such as medical expertise, administrative service have positive effects on the customer satisfaction which positively relates to intention of revisit. Medical expertise, convenience, administrative service of the medical service quality factors have positive influence upon intention of revisit. Therefore, the results of this study show that the medical service quality factors which are medical expertise, administrative service leading to customer satisfaction are important factors to revisit hospitals.

  • The objective of this study is to verify the correlations among design quality of domestic internet fashion shopping mall and relations to specific shopping malls, and shopping mall users' intention to continue the relations. The main results were withdrawn as follows. First, it was found that some factors of internet fashion shopping mall design quality had significant positive influences on the qualities of relationship to users such as reliability, satisfaction and devotion. Second, it was found that all components of quality of customer relationship to internet fashion shopping mall such as reliability, satisfaction and devotion had significant positive influence on their intention to continue relations to the internet shopping mall. Third, graphic and multimedia quality of internet fashion shopping mall design components had significant positive influences on internet fashion shopping mall users' intention to continue relationship to the shopping mall. Empirical study of qualities on the relationship between internet fashion shopping mall design quality and its users, their intention to repurchase or recommend goods from the mall would be very valuable in a management point of view of small internet fashion shopping mall.

The Effect of Menu Quality of Cold Noodle Restaurants on Customer Satisfaction and Repurchase Intention -Focused on Seoul·Kyunggi Area- (냉면전문점의 메뉴품질이 고객만족과 재구매의도에 미치는 영향 -서울·경기지역을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of menu quality of cold noodle restaurants on customer satisfaction and repurchase intention. Eventually the study aims to be used as a baseline data for future researches on menu development for cold noodle restaurants. Collected data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. The results of this study are as follows: First, menu quality consists of taste of food, creativity, variety and price of menu. Among menu quality, taste of food, creativity, variety and price of menu had a significant influence on customer satisfaction. Second, customer satisfaction had a significant influence on repurchase intention. Third, customer satisfaction had a mediating effect between menu quality and repurchase intention. The conclusion section suggested strategic implications to induce menu quality, customer satisfaction and repurchase intention based on the findings.
