  • The aim of this paper is to obtain nonlinear operators in suitable spaces whise fixed point coincide with the solutions of the nonlinear boundary value problems ($\Phi$($\upsilon$'))'=f(t, u, u'), l(u, u') = 0, where l(u, u')=0 denotes the Dirichlet, Neumann or periodic boundary conditions on [0, T], $\Phi$: N N is a suitable monotone monotone homemorphism and f:[0, T] N N is a Caratheodory function. The special case where $\Phi$(u) is the vector p-Laplacian $\mid$u$\mid$p-2u with p>1, is considered, and the applications deal with asymptotically positive homeogeneous nonlinearities and the Dirichlet problem for generalized Lienard systems.

  • This paper makes a study of the Shapley value in cooperative fuzzy games, games with fuzzy coalitions, which enable the representation of players' participation degree to each coalition. The Shapley value has so far been introduced only in an class of fuzzy games where a coalition value is not monotone with respect to each player's participation degree. We consider a more natural class of fuzzy games such that a coalition value is monotone with regard to each player's participation degree. The properties of fuzzy games in this class are investigated. Four axioms of Shapley functions are described and a Shapley function of a fuzzy fame in the class is given.

  • Rice's monotone streamline upwind finite element method, which was proposed to treat convection-dominated flows, is applied to the linear triangular element. An alignment technique of unstructured grids with given velocity fields is used to prevent the interpolation error produced in evaluating the convection term in the upwind method. The alignment of grids is accomplished by optimizing a target function defined with the inner-product of a properly chosen side vector in the element with the velocity field. Two pure advection problems are considered to demonstrate the superiorities of the present approach in solving the convection-dominated flow on the unstructured grid. Solutions obtained with aligned grids are much closer to the exact solutions than those with initial regular grids. The capability of the present approach in predicting the appearance of the secondary vortex in the laminar confined jet impingement is shown by comparing streamlines to those produced by SIMPLE on a highly stretched grid toward the impingement plate.

  • In modern times, coupled fixed point theorems have been rigorously studied by many researchers in the milieu of partially ordered G-metric spaces using different contractive conditions. In this note, some coupled fixed point theorems using mixed monotone property in partially ordered G-metric spaces are obtained. Furthermore some theorems by omitting the completeness on the space and continuity conditions on function, are obtained. Our results partially generalize some existing results in the present literature. To exemplify our results and to distinguish them from the existing ones, we equip the article with suitable examples.

  • The thery of measure is significant in that we extend from it to the theory of integration. AS specific metric outer measures we can take Hausdorff outer measure and Lebesgue-Stieltjes outer measure connecting measure with monotone functions.([12]) The purpose of this paper is to find some properties of Lebesgue-Stieltjes measure by extending it from $R^1$ to $R^n(n{\geq}1)$ $({\S}3)$ and differentiation of the integral defined by Borel measure $({\S}4)$. If in detail, as follows. We proved that if $_n{\lambda}_{f}^{\ast}$ is Lebesgue-Stieltjes outer measure defined on a finite monotone increasing function $f:R{\rightarrow}R$ with the right continuity, then $$_n{\lambda}_{f}^{\ast}(I)=\prod_{j=1}^{n}(f(b_j)-f(a_j))$$, where $I={(x_1,...,x_n){\mid}a_j$<$x_j{\leq}b_j,\;j=1,...,n}$. (Theorem 3.6). We've reached the conclusion of an extension of Lebesgue Differentiation Theorem in the course of proving that the class of continuous function on $R^n$ with compact support is dense in $L^p(d{\mu})$ ($1{\leq$}p<$\infty$) (Proposition 2.4). That is, if f is locally $\mu$-integrable on $R^n$, then $\lim_{h\to\0}\left(\frac{1}{{\mu}(Q_x(h))}\right)\int_{Qx(h)}f\;d{\mu}=f(x)\;a.e.(\mu)$.

  • This paper considers the problem of testing a one-sided hypothesis under the generalized sampling plan which is defined by a sequence of independent Bernoulli trials. A certain lexicographic order is defined for the boundary points of the sampling plan. It is shown that the family of probability mass function defined on the boundary points has monotone likelihood ratio, and that the test function is uniformly most powerful.

  • When a neutral particle beam(NPB) aimed at the object and receive a small number of neutron signals at the detector without any errors, it obeys Poisson law. Under the two assumptions that neutral particle scattering distribution and aiming errors have a circular Gaussian distributions that neutral particle scattering distribution and aiming errors have a circular Gaussian distribution respectively, an exact probability distribution of neutral particles vecomes a Poisson-power function distribution. We study and prove some properties, such as limiting distribution, unimodality, stochastical ordering, computational recursion fornula, of this distribution. We also prove monotone likelihood ratio(MLR) property of this distribution. Its MLR property can be used to find a criteria for the hypothesis testing problem.

  • We present proofs of the stability and convergence of Self-organizing feature map (SOFM) neural network with time-invarient learning rate and binary reinforcement function. One of the major problems in Self-organizing feature map neural network concerns with learning rate-"Kalman Filter" gain in stochsatic control field which is monotone decreasing function and converges to 0 for satisfying minimum variance property. In this paper, we show that the stability and convergence of Self-organizing feature map neural network with time-invariant learning rate. The analysis of the proposed algorithm shows that the stability and convergence is guranteed with exponentially stable and weak convergence properties as well.s as well.

  • In the present paper we introduce difference paranormed sequence spaces $c_0(\mathcal{M},{\Delta}^n_m,p,u,{\parallel}{\cdot},{\cdots},{\cdot}{\parallel})$, $c(\mathcal{M},{\Delta}^n_m,p,u,{\parallel}{\cdot},{\cdots},{\cdot}{\parallel})$ and $l_{\infty}(\mathcal{M},{\Delta}^n_m,p,u,{\parallel}{\cdot},{\cdots},{\cdot}{\parallel})$ defined by a Musielak-Orlicz function $\mathcal{M}$ = $(M_k)$ over n-normed spaces. We also study some topological properties and some inclusion relations between these spaces.

  • The method of quasilinearization generates a monotone iteration scheme whose iterates converge quadratically to a unique solution of the problem at hand. In this paper, we apply the method to two families of three-point boundary value problems for second order ordinary differential equations: Linear boundary conditions and nonlinear boundary conditions are addressed independently. For linear boundary conditions, an appropriate Green\`s function is constructed. Fer nonlinear boundary conditions, we show that these nonlinearities can be addressed similarly to the nonlinearities in the differential equation.
