  • We study the real-analytic continuation of local real-analytic solutions to the Cauchy problems of quasi-linear partial differential equations of first order for a scalar function. By making use of the first integrals of the characteristic vector field and the implicit function theorem we determine the maximal domain of the analytic extension of a local solution as a single-valued function. We present some examples including the scalar conservation laws that admit global first integrals so that our method is applicable.

  • In this paper, we first develop a general formula for evaluating conditional abstract Wiener integrals of cylinder functions. we next use our formula to evaluate the conditional abstract wiener integral of various cylinder functions and then specialize our results to conditional Yeh-Wiener integrals to show that we can obtain the corresponding results by Park and Skoug. We finally obtain a Cameron-Martin translation theorem for conditional abstract Wiener integrals.

  • A remarkably large number of integrals involving a product of certain combinations of Bessel functions of several kinds as well as Bessel functions, themselves, have been investigated by many authors. Motivated the works of both Garg and Mittal and Ali, very recently, Choi and Agarwal gave two interesting unified integrals involving the Bessel function of the first kind $J_{\nu}(z)$. In the present sequel to the aforementioned investigations and some of the earlier works listed in the reference, we present two generalized integral formulas involving a product of Bessel functions of the first kind, which are expressed in terms of the generalized Lauricella series due to Srivastava and Daoust. Some interesting special cases and (potential) usefulness of our main results are also considered and remarked, respectively.

  • We present families of nonlinear transformations useful for numerical evaluation of weakly singular integrals. First, for end-point singular integrals, we define a prototype function with some appropriate features and then suggest a family of transformations. In addition, for interior-point singular integrals, we develop a family of nonlinear transformations based on the aforementioned prototype function. We take some examples to explore the efficiency of the proposed nonlinear transformations in using the Gauss-Legendre quadrature rule. From the numerical results, we can find the superiority of the proposed transformations compared to some existing transformations, especially for the integrals with high singularity strength.

  • In this paper, we first establish an interesting new finite integral whose integrand involves the product of a general class of polynomials introduced by Srivastava [13] and the generalized H-function ([9], [10]) having general argument. Next, we present five special cases of our main integral which are also quite general in nature and of interest by themselves. The first three integrals involve the product of $\bar{H}$-function with Jacobi polynomial, the product of two Jacobi polynomials and the product of two general binomial factors respectively. The fourth integral involves product of Jacobi polynomial and well known Fox's H-function and the last integral involves product of a Jacobi polynomial and 'g' function connected with a certain class of Feynman integral which may have practical applications.

  • In this paper we discuss the nonlinear motion of a conservative two-link arm using first integrals, which includes one integral constant. In the analysis of the motion, the constant plays important role. First, we give some discussion on the free motion by focusing on the integral constant. As the result, the free motion can be classified into two types-the one is oscillation and the other is rotation. Second, we discuss the forced motion of the arm actuated only at the second joint. We take the first integral in a more general form, and show that the forced motion of the second link can be expressed as a variation of the integral constant. Also, the characteristic of the forced motion actuated by arbitrary constant torques is discussed.

  • In this paper we introduce the integration of scalar valued functions with respect to a generalized fuzzy number measure which we call the generalized fuzzy number valued Bartle integral. We first establish some properties of the generalized fuzzy number measures and then study the generalized fuzzy number valued Bartle integrals.

  • Herein, an algorithm for efficient evaluation of oscillatory Fourier-integrals with Jacobi-Cauchy type singularities is suggested. This method is based on the use of the traditional Clenshaw-Curtis (CC) algorithms in which the given function is approximated by the truncated Chebyshev series, term by term, and the oscillatory factor is approximated by using Bessel function of the first kind. Subsequently, the modified moments are computed efficiently using the numerical steepest descent method or special functions. Furthermore, Algorithm and programming code in MATHEMATICA® 9.0 are provided for the implementation of the method for automatic computation on a computer. Finally, selected numerical examples are given in support of our theoretical analysis.
