  • Several extensions to the Thelandersson phenomenological model for concrete under transient high temperatures are explored. These include novel expressions for the temperature degradation of the elastic modulus and the temperature dependency of the coefficient of the free thermal strain. Furthermore, a coefficient of thermo mechanical strain is proposed as a bi-linear function of temperature. Good qualitative agreement with various test results taken from the literature is demonstrated. Further extensions include the effects of plastic straining and temperature dependent Poisson's ratio. The models performance is illustrated on several simple benchmark problems under uniaxial and biaxial stress states.

  • This study is to analyze the remodeling method of library in terms of space extension method and urban regeneration by repurposing function in unused facilities through case study. In many case of library extension, horizontal extensions are more frequent than vertical extensions, because there are limits to extend vertically due to high live load estimation by book stacks. Extension schemes was organized by new building extension method in connection with existing buildings, attaching method small scaled mass or linear mass to existing building, connecting method a plurality of existing small buildings, vertical extension method on the top of the structure, underground extension method using special structure. Unused facility remodeling to the library, large scaled buildings can be developed completely to the function of the library through the relocation of the space, while small scaled building needs spatial extension. In the case of spatial extension, existing space that was used for other purposes can be used as a reading room or office, avoiding high live load estimation.

  • Extensions of some classical special functions, for example, Beta function B(x, y) and generalized hypergeometric functions $_pF_q$ have been actively investigated and found diverse applications. In recent years, several extensions for B(x, y) and $_pF_q$ have been established by many authors in various ways. Here, we aim to generalize Appell's hypergeometric functions of two variables and Lauricella's hypergeometric function of three variables by using the extended generalized beta type function $B_p^{({\alpha},{\beta};m)}$ (x, y). Then some properties of the extended generalized Appell's hypergeometric functions and Lauricella's hypergeometric functions are investigated.

  • The motivation mainly comes from the conditions of the (ordered) ideals to be prime or semiprime that are of importance and interest in (ordered) semigroups and in (ordered) $\Gamma$-semigroups. In 1981, Sen [8] has introduced the concept of the $\Gamma$-semigroups. We can see that any semigroup can be considered as a $\Gamma$-semigroup. The concept of ordered ideal extensions in ordered $\Gamma$-semigroups was introduced in 2007 by Siripitukdet and Iampan [12]. Our purpose in this paper is to introduce the concepts of the ordered n-prime ideals and the ordered n-semiprime ideals in ordered $\Gamma$-semigroups and to characterize the relationship between the ordered n-prime ideals and the ordered ideal extensions in ordered $\Gamma$-semigroups.

  • Let R ⊂ S be a Frobenius extension of rings and M a left S-module and let 𝓧 be a class of left R-modules and 𝒚 a class of left S-modules. Under some conditions it is proven that M is a 𝒚-Gorenstein left S-module if and only if M is an 𝓧-Gorenstein left R-module if and only if S ⊗R M and HomR(S, M) are 𝒚-Gorenstein left S-modules. This statement extends a known corresponding result. In addition, the situations of Ding modules, Gorenstein AC modules and projectively coresolved Gorenstein flat modules are considered under Frobenius extensions.

  • Golden-rule like formulas have been used without theoretical basis to calculate the resonance lifetimes and final state distributions in the predissociation of van der Waals molecules. Here we present their theoretical basis by extending Fano's configuration interaction theory. Such extensions were independently done by Farnonux [Phys. Rev. 1985, 25, 287] but his work, unfortunately, was not well known outside some small group of people in the field of Auger spectroscopy. Since my extension is easier to understand than his, it is presented here. Theoretical basis of Golden rule like formulas used in the predissociation of van der Waals molecules was obtained by using such extensions. Factors responsible for several aspects of predissociation dynamics, such as variations of dynamics as functions of resonance lifetimes, or variations in shapes of final quantum state distributions of photofragments around resonances, were identified. Parameters, or dynamical information that could be obtained from the measurement of partial cross section spectra were accordingly determined. The theory was applied to the vibrational predissociation of triatomic van der Waals molecules and its result was compared with those calculated by close-coupling method. An example where Golden-rule like expression fails and branching ratios vary greatly around a resonance was considered.

  • Since the Mittag-Leffler function was introduced in 1903, a variety of extensions and generalizations with diverse applications have been presented and investigated. In this paper, we aim to introduce some presumably new and remarkably different extensions of the Mittag-Leffler function, and use these to present the pathway fractional integral formulas. We point out relevant connections of some particular cases of our main results with known results.

  • Let R be a commutative ring with identity. We call the ring R to be an almost weakly finite conductor if for any two elements a and b in R, there exists a positive integer n such that anR ∩ bnR is finitely generated. In this article, we give some conditions for the trivial ring extensions and the amalgamated algebras to be almost weakly finite conductor rings. We investigate the transfer of these properties to trivial ring extensions and amalgamation of rings. Our results generate examples which enrich the current literature with new families of examples of nonfinite conductor weakly finite conductor rings.

  • Let p be an odd prime. Let E be an elliptic curve defined over a quadratic imaginary field, where p splits completely. Suppose E has supersingular reduction at primes above p. Under appropriate hypotheses, we extend the results of [17] to ℤ2p-extensions. We define and study the fine double-signed residual Selmer groups in these settings. We prove that for two residually isomorphic elliptic curves, the vanishing of the signed 𝜇-invariants of one elliptic curve implies the vanishing of the signed 𝜇-invariants of the other. Finally, we show that the Pontryagin dual of the Selmer group and the double-signed Selmer groups have no non-trivial pseudo-null submodules for these extensions.

  • Let A be a ring and 𝓙 = {ideals I of A | J(I) = I}. The Krull dimension of A, written dim A, is the sup of the lengths of chains of prime ideals of A; whereas the dimension of the maximal spectrum, denoted by dim 𝓙A, is the sup of the lengths of chains of prime ideals from 𝓙. Then dim 𝓙A ≤ dim A. In this paper, we will study the dimension of the maximal spectrum of some constructions of rings and we will be interested in the transfer of the property J-Noetherian to ring extensions.
