The globalisation of software production processes is a maze of connected phenomena with dramatically increasing importance as the development of W related industries and services escalates on a global scale. While commercial and industrial software production and related services are historically associated with advanced industrial economies of the North & West, contemporary changes of the past decade suggest that the industry is developing rapidly on a global scale incorporating countries that have historically been classified as '2nd and 3rd world' or periphery and semi-periphery by different theoretical approaches. The design of a deep foundation by means of whatever a scientific method has to take into account the influence of the installation of the piles on the soil parameters to be implemented in the shaft and base capacity. Especially when discussing screw piles, the details of the pile installation technique are of outmost importance. New developments in screw pile techniques, over the last decade, show this type of deep foundations to be probably one of the most promissing for the future.

Tuberculous pleurisy is the most common form of extrapulmonary tuberculosis in Korea. Tuberculous pleurisy presents a diagnostic and therapeutic problem due to the limitations of traditional diagnostic tools. There have been many clinical research works during the past decade. Recent studies have provided new insight into the tuberculous pleurisy, which have a large impact on clinical practice. This review is a general overview of tuberculous pleurisy with a focus on recent findings on the diagnosis and management.

Wireless communication systems will be one of the biggest drivers of semiconductor products over the next decade. Global Positioning System (GPS) and Blue-tooth, HomeRF, and Wireless-LNA system are just a few of RF-module candidate awaiting integration into next generation mobile phone. Motivated by the growing needs for lowcost and multi-band/multi-function single chip wireless transceivers, CMOS technology has been recognized as a most promising candidate for the implementation of the future wireless communication systems. This paper presents recent developments in RF CMOS technology so far, much of them have been developed in ETRI, and from them forecasts technology trends in the near future.

The current understanding of the neurobiology of anxiety is generally based on experimental animal model, empirical effective psychopharmacological agents, chemical and naturalistic challenge paradigms, and psychoendocinological assessment. This article focuses on reviewing neuroanantomical, neuroendocinological and neurofunctional research of anxiety disorder. In the decade ahead, we anticipate that extension of current research and the new integrated approach promise novel insight into mechanism of anxiety.

New antidepressants have become available for clinical use in the 1990s. Before this decade, the drugs available to treat depression consisted essentially of monoamine oxidase inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants, and lithium. Following the introduction of SSRIs, the options have expanded and now include SSRIs, nefazodone, venlafaxine, mirtazapine, reboxetine, tianeptine. Newer antidepressants possess a variety of pharmacological characteristics that are relevant to the choice of an antidepressant for clinical use. This review summarizes some of the major pharmacological characteristics among the drugs.

IBED is a very promosing thin film deposition method because of its many advantages, such as excellent adhesion property of films to substrates, room temperature processing, ease of control over the composition and thickness of films, and so on, over the conventional techniques, It has been widely applied in the field of surface modification of materials in the last decade. In our laboratory, many kinds of thin films, such as wear-resistant hard coatings, corrosion and oxidation protective coatings, biomaterial films, buffer layer for high temperature superconductor films, and oxygen sensitive film, have been synthesized by IBED, and several industrial applications of the IBED films have been conducted.

Metabolic syndrome (MS) in children and adolescents has become a global public health problem. MS among Korean children and adolescents has been increasing significantly over the past decade. This paper aims to provide the currently available information on the MS in children and adolescents. This review focuses on the definition, diagnostic criteria, epidemiology and pathophysiology which may be helpful for the pediatrician in early identification and management of the MS in children and adolescents.

In the last decade, digital image processing technics have been rapidly developed according to the advancement of electronic technique, and total scanner and DTP system were developed. Specially, there is need to retouch the color and image on the CRT. In this paper, we described a method to display surface color of printing on the CRT, and an algorithm to simulate the color reproduction by offset printing. The experimental results show that the described method and algorithm are useful and valid on the computer simulation of the multi-color printing adapted process ink characteristics.
