  • A notion of 'fuzzy' convergence of filters on a set is introduced. We show that the collection of fuzzy L-limit spaces forms a cartesian closed topological category and obtain an interesting relationship between the notions of 'fuzzy' convergence structure and convergence approach spaces.

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm, an optimized architecture, and an implementation for an improved performance of image downscaler. The proposed downscaler uses two-dimensional digital filters for horizontal and vertical scalings, respectively. It also improves scaling precisions and decreases the loss of data, compared with the 1/32 scaler 〔1〕. In order to achieve the optimization, the digital filters are implemented by the multiplexer -adder type scheme 〔2〕. The scaler is designed by using the Verilog-HDL. It is synthesized into gates by using the Samsung 0.35 um STD90 TLM library.

Implementation on Surveillance Camera Optimum Angle Extraction using Polarizing Filter

  • The surveillance camera market has developed and plays an important role in the field of video surveillance. However, in recent years, the identification of areas requiring surveillance has been limited by reflective light in the surveillance camera market. Cameras using polarization filters are being developed to reduce reflective light and facilitate identification. Programs are required to automatically adjust polarization filters. In this paper, we proposed an optimal angle extraction method from surveillance cameras using polarization filters through histogram analysis. First of all, transformed to grayscale to analyze the specifications of frames in multiple polarized angle images, reducing computational throughput. Then we generated and analyzed a histogram of the corresponding frame to extract the angle when the highlights are the fewest. Experiments with 0˚ and 90˚ showed high performance in extracting optimal angles. At this point, it is hoped this technology would be used for surveillance cameras in place like beach with a lot of reflective light.

  • This paper addresses the problem of real-time tracking a high-speed ballistic target. Particle filters can be considered to overcome the nonlinearity in motion and measurement models in the ballistic target. However, it is difficult to apply particle filters to real-time systems because particle filters generally require much computation time. This paper proposes an accelerated particle filter using graphics processing unit (GPU) for real-time ballistic target tracking. The real-time performance of the proposed method was tested and analyzed on a widely-used embedded system. The comparison results with the conventional particle filter on CPU (central processing unit) showed that the proposed method improved the real-time performance by reducing computation time significantly.

Some Fundamental Concepts in (2, L)-Fuzzy Topology Based on Complete Residuated Lattice-Valued Logic

  • In the present paper we introduce and study fundamental concepts in the framework of L-fuzzifying topology(so called(2,L)-fuzzy topology)as L-concepts where L is a complete residuated lattice. The concepts of (2,L)-derived, (2,L)-closure, (2,L)-interior, (2,L)-exterior and (2,L)-boundary operators are studied and some results on above concepts are obtained. Also, the concepts of an L-convergence of nets and an L-convergence of filters are introduced and some important results are obtained. Furthermore, we introduce and study bases and subbases in (2,L)-topology. As applications of our work the corresponding results(see[10-11]) are generalized and new consequences are obtained.

적응 Lattice 필터의 수검특성 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of the convergence Properties of the Adaptive Lattice Filters)

  • 본 논문에서는 적응 lattice 필터에서 반사계교를 구하는 일반적인 알고리즘인 Burg 알고리즘의 수염구성을 해석하였으며, μ알고리즘을 Burg 알고리즘에 적용하여 Burg 알고리즘보다 수산동도가 더 큰 새로운 적응 lattice μ알고리즘을 얻었다. 특히 Burg 알고리즘의 수잡속도가 낮을 때 본 논장에서 조안한 적응 lattice 친알고리즘의 수검속도가 상대적으로 커짐을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 확인하였다.

  • The notion of Interval Valued Fuzzy Sets (IVF sets) was introduced by T. K. Mondal. In this paper a notion of IVF filter is introduced and studied. A new notion of Hausdorffness, which can not be defined in crisp theory of filters, is defined on IVF filters and their properties are studied.

  • The robot localization problem is a key problem in making truly autonomous robots. In this work we provide thorough discussions of Ultrasonic Positioning System can be applied to the localization problem. First, we look at the use of Kalman filters and basic concept and the equation involved in Kalman filters. Secondly, we create understanding of how the Kalman filters can be implemented in robot localization. We show our discussion and experiments how Kalman filters applied to the localization problem. Lastly, we perform simulations using Usat Wheel Chair robot in our own general Kalman filters robot monitoring software.

  • 본 논문에서는 W-CDMA에서 사용 무선 중계기에서 사용 가능한 간섭신호 제거 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 기존의 방법인 1개의 긴 필터를 이용하여 간섭신호를 제거하는 알고리즘 대신 여러 개의 짧은 병렬형 필터를 이용하여 수렴속도를 줄일 수 있음을 분석하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 실제 성능 시험 조건 하에서 시뮬레이션을 통해 기존 방법보다 수렴 속도가 빨라짐을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, we introduce quasiuniform convergence structure induced by operators on ecl-premonoid (L, ${\ast}$, ${\odot}$). Moreover, we obtain $(L,\;{\ast},\;{\odot})-quasiuniform$ convergence structure induced by two $(L,\;{\ast},\;{\odot})-quasiuniform$ convergence structures and gives their examples.
