Welfare desire has been diversified according to the increase of economic level and rapid social change. The desire for comprehensive service on culture, medical, mental and information level has appeared. Accordingly, it is necessary to establish an integrated community mixed-support facility, a space of accepting administration, welfare, leisure, culture and informatization request in a small local community in the future. The community mixed-support facility is a meeting place of local resident for information change, various basic service and ultimately for activation of community in order to contribute to regeneration and activation of existing urban core. Thus, this study figured out general status of community mixed-support facility and physical mixed type and analyzed spatial characteristics. Current community mixed-support facility has insufficient program and space to participate in by local residents and to accommodate mixed function. The future planned community mixed-support facility must secure multiple opportunities for various types of life by returning time and cost to user through the introduction of creative mixed concept. While reflecting unique local characteristics, and considering diversity of users, it needs to make mixed facility to cope with social changes. This study is limited in that the study reached a conclusion by survey and analysis only. However, it is expected that the result can be used as basic research data for the planning of community mixed-support facility to cope with living conditions of local residents or realistic requirements.
The purposes of this study were to analyze and understand the life of mothers rearing children with Down syndrome and to present basic data for overcoming the difficulties of those families. For these purposes, this study made use of the phenomenological analysis and approach with a qualitative research method. The subjects of this study are 4 mothers rearing children with Down syndrome who are beyond school age. The results were as follows. First, the reason why mothers with Down syndrome children went through psychological shock and horror was the social stigma due to the unusual appearance of children with Down syndrome. Second, the isolation with in the public education system was disclosed as a factor causing much sorrow and pain. Through this, we can recognize the importance of ensuring the equal right to receive education of children with Down syndrome. Third, the period which the mother experienced most shock and confusion was right after finding out about the disability that her child has. So, we can identify the importance of early intervention providing psychotherapy and rearing service to the parents. Fourth, the crucial factor that relieved pain and pressure from mothers was social support including family. Therefore, the social support system for mothers with Down syndrome children has to be developed and strengthened. Fifth, the crucial factor that made mother grow up during rearing experience was the reestablishment of cognition about the desired role of mothers. Through this, we can identify the importance of the mental transition process to independent thinking.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of social support and, career decision-making self-efficacy on career maturity of adolescents of different gender and grades. Further, it aims to provide basic information for career maturity to create career educational program for adolescents. The participants of the study were 447 middle and high school students who were selected from second grade of five schools in Daegu. All participants were tested on social support, career decision-making self-efficacy and career maturity scale. The results were analyzed using two-way ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Analysis, Regression Analysis with SPSS 18.0. The results of the present research are summarized as follows: first, the results of the ANOVA subscales revealed that there were significant gender and grade main effects and interaction effects of social support, career decision-making self-efficacy and career maturity. Second, the results of the correlation analysis among of the social support, career decision-making self-efficacy and career maturity showed a positive and negative correlation. Third, in terms of the influence of social support, career decision-making self-efficacy had a significant meaningful influence on career maturity. The results of this study can be used as a fundamental reference in career counseling at school for enhancing adolescent's career development and success.
This study sought to examine and revise the 'Multicultural Family Support Act' for domestic multicultural families. To this end, we looked at the Multicultural Family Support Act along with the current status and support policies of multicultural families. First, as in Article 1 of the Act, it proposed to reflect Article 3 of the Article 5(basic ideas) to realize the purpose of the law contributing to 'improvement of quality of life' and 'social integration'. Second, the current law stipulates that support and related policies should be implemented every five years, and by conducting planning and due diligence surveys every three years, it suggested the necessity of consensus on the disagreement between the support policy and the planning period. Third, the government proposed a revision to the mandatory regulation (that is, it should be done) under the provisions set by law. Finally, we proposed a plan to designate 'Multicultural Family Day' or to designate it with other family days. As the globalization of the members of each country, which has been rapidly continuing in the 21st century, it is expected that Korea will be able to welcome them and review the act and institutional devices that can be together more than ever.
Background: Hip flexor muscles are very important in the hip joint structure as a mover and stabilizer. In addition, isometric hip flexor strength in the supine position needs to be considered with isometric core strength (WICS) to measure a precise strength in a clinical way. Objects: We compared isometric hip flexor strength in the supine position in subjects with and without WICS (between factors) and conditions with and without an external support (within factors). Methods: A total of 34 subjects (16 with WICS, 18 without WICS) participated in this study. We used the double-bent leg-lowering test to divide the subjects in two groups according to the presence of WICS. Isometric hip flexor strength was evaluated in the supine position both with and without an external support condition. The two-way mixed analysis of variance was applied to identify significant differences between groups (with vs. without WICS: between factors) and conditions (with vs. without an external support: within factors). Statistical significance was set at α = 0.05. Results: In subjects with WICS, isometric hip flexor strength was greater with an external support than without it (p = 0.0064). In subjects without WICS, there were no significant differences in isometric hip flexor strength in the presence or absence of an external support (p = 0.075). The isometric hip flexor strength was significantly greater with an external support condition in particular in subjects with WICS. Conclusion: The findings of this study reported that an external support condition in individuals with WICS may contribute to the improvement of isometric hip flexion strength in the supine position. Therefore, isometric core strength should be evaluated to distinguish the weakness between core region and hip flexors.

The aim of this study is to identify intelligent learning support functions in Learning Management System (LMS) to support university student learning activities during the transition from face-to-face classes to online learning. To accomplish this, we investigated the perceptions of students on the levels of importance and urgency toward learning support functions of LMS powered with Artificial Intelligent (AI) technology and analyzed the differences in perception according to student characteristics. As a result of this study, the function that students considered to be the most important and felt an urgent need to adopt was to give automated grading and feedback for their writing assignments. The functions with the next highest score in importance and urgency were related to receiving customized feedback and help on task performance processed as well as results in the learning progress. In addition, students view a function to receive customized feedback according to their own learning plan and progress and to receive suggestions for improvement by diagnosing their strengths and weaknesses to be both vitally important and urgently needed. On the other hand, the learning support function of LMS, which was ranked as low importance and urgency, was a function that analyzed the interaction between professors and students and between fellow students. It is expected that the results of this student needs analysis will be helpful in deriving the contents of learning support functions that should be developed as well as providing basic information for prioritizing when applying AI technology to implement learner-centered LMS in the future.

The aims of this article were to examine the basic law, contents and concept of educational program for healthy family and provide the jobs and competency of healthy family supporter for educational work. The research objects were 53 healthy family supporters for educational work inclusive of full-time and part-time position. They was analyzed through the survey. The process of research consisted of two parts. One was to suggest their jobs and requirements, the other were to offer their core competency and area for improvement. First, the jobs of healthy family supporters for educational work were the planning and valuation of program. The requirements for the performance of their duties are having a bachelor's degree or a master's degree, career for 1-3years, and a certificate of qualification of healthy family supporters, social worker and family counselor. Second, their competencies were the understanding of education for family life, management for healthy family support center, planning and valuation of educational program, a theory of counsel, community networking, ability of documentation, sociality, communication skill, the ability of solving the problem, the adaptation of various environments, receptiveness, positiveness and so on.

Purpose: This study investigated the factors influencing mental health among university students based on ecological perspectives. Method: The subjects for this study were 416 students in two colleges in K province. The instruments used for measurement were: Symptom Checklist (Derogatis, 1977), Ego Resilience Scale (Block & Block, 1980), Perceived Stress Inventory (Cohen, Kamarck, & Mermelstein, 1983), and Social Support Scale (Park, 2002). The data was analyzed using the IBM SPSS program. Result: Ego resilience and perceived stress as intrapersonal factors and friends' support as interpersonal factor were the significant predictors of mental health. It was showed that these factors explained 47% of mental health. Conclusion: This study suggests that the factors influencing mental health are both intrapersonal and interpersonal factors. Thus, the findings of this study provide the basic data to develop a program for mental health of university students based on ecological perspectives.
LCA is a tool to support for making decisions by offering information of environmental aspects of products or services. It can be used to make decisions to consumers and NGOs as well as government and enterprises. LCA evaluates the environmental aspects throughout the entire life cycle of a product. Therefore it can quantify and assess environmental impacts from raw material acquisition, manufacturing, distribution, use and disposal to end of life and recycling. The demands of the recycling rate increase and the use of suitable materials for RoHS, REACH, WEEE, ELV which are linked trade with environmental regulation have increased the worldwide. Global warming is the critical challenge of the world facing. And under post-Kyoto protocol each country has to prepare for target reduction, so it became essential to save energy and resources. In addition that, the carbon mark has been run as the way of showing example of CO2 reduction in domestic and it will be extended gradually. And also through the introduction of Eco-label, environmentally-friendly product will be promoted. When those systems are operated, global warming gases (i.e. CO2) can be calculated throughout the entire life of the products by LCA. And the environmental impacts such as harmful material emission in the process of manufacturing, energy consumption, distribution and so on, can also be assessed. Therefore, The basic concepts of LCA technique and various cases and the practical application in the future will be review in this study.
The purpose of this study is to conceptualize the definition of school readiness specific to the context of the Republic of Korea. The school readiness test can be used as basic data to enable early childhood educational institutes to determine the general readiness of preschoolers and provide support to fit individual characteristics. For this purpose, six stages of the school readiness development process were considered, that is, draft development, primary preliminary survey, primary expert verification, secondary expert verification, secondary preliminary survey, and main survey. In the main survey, tests were conducted using the school readiness final draft targeting 344 preschoolers living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The item discrimination power analysis and factor analysis for the examination area and question area were also conducted. Consequently, a test tool was developed on the basic of the results obtained, consisting of 129 items in the five areas of knowledge, function, adaptation, tendency, and attitude. The knowledge area was divided into general, linguistic, and mathematical knowledge, and the function area into fine motor function, basic living ability, expressive function, and gross motor function. The adaptation area was classified into adaptation activity, separation anxiety, maladaptive behavior, and environment adaptation; the tendency area into learning tendency; others understanding, and individual tendency, and the attitude area into rule compliance and life habits.
