  • In this paper, we extend some fixed point theorems in rectangular b-metric spaces using subadditive altering distance and establishing the existence and uniqueness of fixed point for Hardy-Roger type mappings. Our result generalizes many known results in fixed point theory. Finally, we offer a example to illustrate our result.

  • In this paper, we introduce a new class of mappings called the generalized orthogonal F-Suzuki contraction for a family of multivalued mappings in the setup of orthogonal b-metric spaces. We established the existence of some common fixed point results without using any commutativity condition for this new class of mappings in orthogonal b-metric spaces. Moreover, we illustrate and support these common fixed point results with example. The results obtained in this work generalize and extend some recent and classical related results in the existing literature.

  • In 2016, the Hurwitz metric was introduced by D. Minda in arbitrary proper subdomains of the complex plane and he proved that this metric coincides with the Poincaré's hyperbolic metric when the domains are simply connected. In this paper, we provide an alternate definition of the Hurwitz metric through which we could define a generalized Hurwitz metric in arbitrary subdomains of the complex plane. This paper mainly highlights various important properties of the Hurwitz metric and the generalized metric including the situations where they coincide with each other.

  • The aim of this paper is to show that there exists a weakly quasisymmetric homeomorphism $f:(X,d){\rightarrow}(Y,d^{\prime})$ between two locally compact non-complete metric spaces such that $f:(X,d_h){\rightarrow}(Y,d^{\prime}_h)$ is not quasi-isometric, where dh denotes the Gromov hyperbolic metric with respect to the metric d introduced by Ibragimov in 2011. This result shows that the answer to the related question asked by Ibragimov in 2013 is negative.

  • We define a new connection on semi-Riemannian manifold, which is called a non-metric ${\phi}$-symmetric connection. Semi-symmetric non-metric connection and quarter-symmetric non-metric connection are two impotent examples of this connection. The purpose of this paper is to study the geometry of lightlike hypersurfaces of an indefinite Kaehler manifold with a non-metric ${\phi}$-symmetric connection.

  • In this paper, we study a class of Finsler metrics called general (${\alpha},{\beta}$)-metrics, which are defined by a Riemannian metric ${\alpha}$ and a 1-form ${\beta}$. We show that every general (${\alpha},{\beta}$)-metric with isotropic Berwald curvature is either a Berwald metric or a Randers metric. Moreover, a lot of new isotropic Berwald general (${\alpha},{\beta}$)-metrics are constructed explicitly.

  • This paper proposes a new quantitative and objective image quality metric which is essential to verify the performance of block-based DCT image coding The proposed metric considers not only global distortion of coded image such as spatial frequency sensitivity and channel masking using HVS based multi-channel model, but also structural distortions caused block-based coding. The experimental results show a strong correlation between propose(B metric and subjective metric.

  • The probabilistic metric space as one of the important generalizations of metric space, was introduced by Menger [16] in 1942. Later, Choi et al. [6] initiated the notion of bicomplex-valued metric spaces (bi-CVMS). Recently, Bhattacharyya et al. [3] linked the concept of bicomplex-valued metric spaces and menger spaces, and initiated menger space with bicomplex-valued metric. Here, in this paper, we have taken probabilistic metric space with bicomplex-valued metric, i.e., bicomplexvalued probabilistic metric space and proved some common fixed point theorems using converse commuting mappings in this space.
