  • The aim of this paper is to prove some new approximate best proximity pair theorems on metric spaces using contraction mappings such as P-Bianchini contraction, P - B contraction and so on. A few examples are provided to exemplify our findings. Finally, we discuss some applications that are related to the main results.

  • Let B be the open unit ball with center 0 in the complex space $C^n$. For each q>0, B$_{q}$ consists of holomorphic functions f : B longrightarrow C which satisfy sup z $\in$ B $(1-\parallel z \parallel^2)^q\parallel\nabla f(z)\parallel < \infty$ In this paper, we will show that functions in weighted Bloch spaces $B_{q}$ (0 < q < 1) satifies the following Lipschitz type result for Bergman metric $\beta$: |f(z)-f($\omega$)|< $C\beta$(z, $\omega$) for some constant C.

  • Mejia and Minda proved that if a hyperbolic simply connected region $\Omega$ is k-convex, then (equation omitted), $z \in \Omega$. We show that this inequality actually characterizes k-convex regions.

  • This study proposes two utilization ways of Saaty's compatibility metric to an entire hierarchy: (a) composite mode of all priorities and compatibility indices pertaining to a hierarchy, (b) arithmetic mean of compatibility indices along the hierarchy levels using a reduced elementwise operation of two eigenvectors.

  • In this paper we introduce the notion of expansion mapping on a probabilistic metric space and prove common fixed point theorems for a pair of such mappings. These results being new of their kind. are interesting generafizations of some of the known results.
