인쇄 기술을 이용한 친환경 종이 혈당 센서 스트립 개발 (Development of Eco-friendly Paper Glucose Sensor Using Printing Technology)

  • In this paper, we developed an electrochemical glucose sensor strip using a paper substrate. The paper glucose sensor strip is eco-friendly because it uses paper as a substrate, and it has the advantage that it can be manufactured only with four printing, drying and cutting processes. The paper glucose sensor is significantly simplified by the production process than the conventional glucose sensors because the production of only four printing on the paper substrate. In this paper, eco-friendly tracing paper was used to develop a paper glucose sensor strip, and screen-printing technology was used to form a carbon/silver electrode, insulating layer and glucose oxidase(GOD) layer. The developed paper glucose sensor strip has a flat structure with a size of 30 × 4.6 ㎟, and blood injection is a type of direct contact with the exposed enzyme layer above the strip. In this paper, the performance of paper glucose sensor strips was evaluated by analyzing the cyclic voltammetry(CV) and chronoamperometry(CA) characteristics.

구조물 보강용 FRP 판과 광섬유 센서가 결합된 자기감지 보강재 (Self Sensing Reinforcement Combined with Fiber-Optic Sensor and FRP Strip for Structural Reinforcement)

  • Recently, it is required to develop a monitoring technology that combines an FBG sensor as a means for continuously monitoring whether reinforcing effect of FRP is maintained on FRP reinforced structural members. However, most existing researches focus on the insertion of FBG sensors into bar-shaped FRPs, and there is insufficient study on the details strip-type FRPs combined with FBG sensors. Therefore, in this paper, it is studied to develop a reinforcement in which a FBG sensor is combined with a FRP strip. Especially, combination of FRP and FBG sensor. For this, a series of experiments were performed to find the adhesive strength of fiber-FRP-epoxy joints, the tensile strength of FBG sensor part with reflection-lattice, and the performance depending on the connection method of FRF and FBG sensor. As a result of the study, it was found that a minimum strength of $216.15N/mm^2$ is required for incorporating FBG sensors in FRP using epoxy. It is considered that the adhesion length of epoxy joints should be more than 50mm. When the FBG sensor is attached to the FRP strip as an epoxy, it is considered appropriate to use the complete attachment and the sensor non-attachment method.

Disposable Strip-Type Biosensors for Amperometric Determination of Galactose

  • A development of disposable strip-type galactose sensor for point-of-care testing (POCT) was studied, which was constructed using screen-printed carbon electrodes. Galactose levels were determined by the redox reaction of galactose oxidase in the presence of potassium ferricyanide as an electron transfer mediator in a small sample volume (i.e., less than 1 µL). The optimal performance of biosensor was systematically designated by varying applied potential, operating pH, mediator concentration, and amount of enzyme on the electrode. The sensor system was identified as a highly active for the galactose measurement in terms of the sensitivity (slope = 4.76 ± 0.05 nA/µM) with high sensor-to-sensor reproducibility, the linearity (R2 = 0.9915 in galactose concentration range from 0 to 400 µM), and response time (t95% = <17 s). A lower applied potential (i.e., 0.25 V vs. Ag/AgCl) allowed to minimize interference from readily oxidizable metabolites such as ascorbic acid, acetaminophen, uric acid, and acetoacetic acid. The proposed galactose sensor represents a promising system with advantage for use in POCT.

단결정 실리콘 써모파일을 이용한 접촉형 온도센서 개발 (Development of a Contact Type Temperature Sensor Using Single Crystal Silicon Thermopile)

  • In this paper, we developed contact type temperature sensor with single crystal silicon strip thermopile. This sensor consists of 15 p-type single crystal silicon strips, 17 n-types and contact electrodes on silicon dioxide silicon membrane. The result of electromotive force measuring showed very good characteristic as $15.18mV/^{\circ}C$ when temperature difference between the two ends of the thermopile occurs by applying thermal contact on the thermopile which was fabricated with silicon strip of $200{\mu}m$ length, $20{\mu}m$ width, $1{\mu}m$ thickness.

일회용 스트립형 효소면역센서용 플랫폼의 개발 (Development of Disposable Enzyme-linked Immunosensor Strip Platform)

  • This study introduced the development of a strip type disposable enzyme-linked immunosensor platform for the detection of IgG. Strips of the strip sensor were fabricated by using commercial nitrocellulose filter membranes and a housing holder for the strips was manufactured by using a standard injection molding process for a plastic material. An IgG-urease conjugate was prepared and used for the competitive immune-binding with sample IgG. From the enzymatic reaction between the conjugated urease and urea added, ammonia was generated and caused a localized alkaline pH change on the immobilized antibody band which was coated onto the sensor strips. This pH increase subsequently caused a color change of the antibody band in the presence of a pH indicator, phenol red. Used in conjunction with a competitive immunoassay format, the intensity of the color produced is directly linked with the concentration of target analyte, IgG, and specific measurement of IgG in a lateral flow immunoassay format was achieved over the range 100 ppb to 2000 ppb IgG.

유리염소 측정을 위한 일회용 스트립 센서 (Disposable Strip-type Sensors for Detection of Free Chlorine)

  • 수질 분석에서 염소 소독제 잔류량 측정은 세균학적 안전성 확보와 염소의 과다 주입을 억제하기 위한 수단으로 매우 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 이러한 휴대용 잔류염소 측정기 개발을 위한 일회용 유리염소 스트립 센서를 스크린 프린팅 기술을 이용한 탄소 전극으로 제작하였다. 탄소 전극은 금과 백금 전극에 비해 결합염소(특히 $NH_2Cl$) 방해종에 대한 영향이 적었으며, -0.3 V(vs. Ag/AgCl) 인가전위에서 유리염소에 대해 안정한 감응성을 나타냈다. 이렇게 제작된 탄소 전극에 모세관현상으로 일정량의 시료를 재현성 있게 도입할 수 있는 유로구조를 갖는 일회용 스트립센서로 제작하였고, 잔류 유리염소의 분석에 적용하였다.

  • Carbon paste전극을 백금도금 한 후 이 전극을 사용한 일회용 전류법 glucose센서를 제작하였다. 전극에 시료용액을 가한 후, voltammetry을 이용하여 본 센서의 감응성을 연구하였다. screen printing된 carbon paste전극 표면 위에 전기도금 방법으로 도입된 백금은 센서의 분석성능과 mediator의 전기 화학적 가역성을 크게 향상시켜 준다. 제작된 센서가 $[Fe(CN)_6]^{4-/3-}$에 대한 heterogeneous rate constant는 $1.45\times10^{-2}cm{\cdot}s^{-1}$이며, 이 센서는 적용전위 0.3V vs. Ag/AgCl에서 glucose에 대한 좋은 감응성을 보여주었다. 이 때 glucose에 대한 Michaelis-Menten상수는 24.5mM이다. 일회용 glucose 스트립 센서의 분석성능을 평가하기 위하여 NOVA S.P. Ultra M analyzer와 비교실험을 수행하였다. 이 때 시료용액으로서 $80\~297 mg/dL$ 범위의 glucose를 함유하고 있는 30여 종류의 혈청을 사용하였고, 상관계수는 0.983으로서 정밀도와 정확도가 비교적 우수함을 보여주었다.

이산화납/탄소 반죽 전극을 이용한 과당 농도 측정 스트립센서 (A Strip Sensor Based on PbO2/Carbon Paste Electrode to Determine Sweetener Contents in Fruits)

  • 본 연구에서는 스크린 프린팅 방법을 이용하여 이산화납($PbO_2$)/탄소 반죽 전극을 제작하고, 이를 전기화학 방법의 과일 천연당(포도당, 자당, 과당) 측정용 센서로 이용하였다. 이산화납/탄소 반죽전극은 탄수화물과 같은 유기화합물의 전기화학적 산화촉매 신호를 측정함으로써 효소를 사용하지 않고도 당의 측정이 가능하다. 또한 측정 시 심각한 방해작용을 하는 아스코르브산(ascorbic acid)은 Nafion 막을 전극표면에 도입함으로써 효과적으로 감소시켰다. 최적화된 Nafion/이산화납/탄소 반죽 전극은 사람이 느끼는 상대당도(과당>자당>포도당)와 유사하게 각 당에 대한 감응신호를 나타내었다.

4갈락토오즈 측정을 위한 전기화학적 바이오센서 개발 (Development of electrochemical biosensor for determination of galactose)

  • 본 연구에서는 갈락토오즈의 현장검사(point-of-care testing, POCT)를 위한 일회용 갈락토오즈 바이오센서 개발에 관해 논하고자 한다. Galactose oxidase(GAO)와 horseradish peroxidase(HRP) 두 효소를 0.05 M phosphate 완충용액에 용해시킨 후 스크린 프린팅(screen printing) 방법으로 제작한 전극위에 고정화하여 센서를 제작하였다. 이렇게 제작된 센서를 이용하여 $100{\mu}L$ 이하의 시료를 이용하여 갈락토오즈를 90초 이내에 측정하였다. 전극에서의 반응을 최적화하기 위하여 GAO 효소가 가장 우수한 활성을 나타내는 pH 7.0 완충용액을 이용하여 GAO와 HRP 효소를 1:1로 고정화하고, 1mM 1,1'-ferrocene-dimethanol 전자전달매개체를 도입하여 센서를 제작하였다. 유리 탄소전극의 경우 100 mV (vs Ag/AgCl), 스크린 프린트된 전극의 경우 -100 mV(vs Ag/AgCl)의 인가전압을 적용하였다. 본 연구에 의해 개발된 센서는 $0{\sim}400{\mu}M$의 갈락토오즈 농도에 대하여 우수한 직선성($r^2$ = 0.997, S/N = 3)을 나타내었고 낮은 인가전압을 적용하여 갈락토오즈를 측정하므로, ascorbic acid, uric acid 그리고 acetaminophen과 같은 방해물질의 영향을 최소화 할 수 있었다. 또한 갈락토오즈 표준 용액에 대하여 만족할 만한 재현성을 나타내었다(CV = 5%).

Off-Line PD Diagnosis for Stator Winding of Rotating Machines Using a UWB Sensor

  • We studied partial discharge detection by sensing electromagnetic waves emitted from the partial discharge source in an HV Rotating Machine using a UWB sensor. In this study, we design a new type of compact low frequency UWB sensor based on micro-strip technology. We also perform many experiments of offline and dismantled testing compared with the existing HFCT on stator winding of the HV generator. We mention the detailed design of a new compact UWB sensor along with the time domain PRPD pattern and frequency domain results of partial discharge in the stator winding of a 6.6kV rotating machine by offline testing performed in a laboratory.
