  • Since 1996, the document exchange method by EDI has been introduced in port and logistics industries in Korea to enhance the declaration activities to the Pusan Port Authority and Customs. In spite of these efforts, users such as shipping companies, shipping agents, and freight forwarders have complained the inconvenience of using EDI systems. The major reasons can be summarized as follows: repetitional EDI transfer, too much transfer time, inconvenient EDI software, and problems on message receiving confirmation. Furthermore, EDI has been used only for transmitting messages. To solve these problems, this study has adopted the integration system by applying the concept of SCM to logistics system by XML/EDl. In the view of SCM, the existing EDI has some problems because its role is only to transmit the messages. This paper is to suggest how current EDI systems in Port and logistics sector has to be chanced by Introducing SCM. The integration system gives us such advantages as accuracy of cargo data, integration of processes among firms, and keeping the trace of cargo.

  • This Paper deals with a collaborative decision making procedure of web-based DSS for supply chain management (SCM). The seemingly autonomous DSS dedicated to each of mutually exclusive prob1em domains forms a communication network and cooperates each other for better SCM decision making. We a1so propose a hub-spoke information sharing model for the DSS network. In the hub-spoke model, an information hub at the center facilitates information exchange between DSS\\`s and controls the conversations defined by the series of XML messages between agents of DSS. A product ordering scenario where supply decision is triggered upon customer order is used to demonstrate the SCM decision procedure through a collaboration of the web-based DSS.

  • The company was focusing on production which was partial mission rather than acquiring the information of customer in intensive process industry. The company accepted loss which is from over-production, losing of opportunity. After changing to web environment, supply chain is more complicated and need of customer is more various. As a result the company hard works on controlling production rates, production quantities in production area and gathering exact information which is about available resource and available quantities. Cooperated demand planning have to get decreasing of inventory, improving of customer service in supply chain management. Specially demand planning that considers allocation of capacity is executed in Iron-Industry. Demand planning must be classified by customer, region and supply position level.

  • Purpose - The objective of this paper is to investigate the effect of asset specificity, the level of information sharing, the importance of information sharing, and an integrated collaborative environment on supply chain performance. Research design, data, and methodology - Data collection was implemented as follows: questionnaires were distributed to 250 companies that have business ties with Halla Climate Control Corporation. The empirical study to test our hypothesis was based on statistical analysis (using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0). The hypothesis of this paper is that the asset specificity variable has positive effects on the following variables: Level of information sharing, the importance of information sharing, and integrated collaborative environment. Moreover the variables, the level of information sharing, and the importance of information sharing are strongly influenced by the variable integrated collaborative environment, and these when combined, have an effect on the dependent variable, supply chain performance. We tested our hypothesized model utilizing path analysis with latent variables. Results - According to the results of our analysis, hypothesis H1, which tests whether there is a relationship between asset specificity and the integrated collaborative environment, is supported at the 0.01 level. Hypotheses H2 and H3 were also confirmed, and asset specificity had positive effects (+) on the level of information sharing variable. The importance of the information sharing variable was statistically significant at the 0.01 level. Hypotheses H4 and H5 posited that the integrated collaborative environment variable would have a positive effect on the level of information sharing; the importance of information sharing variable was strongly supported statistically, with a significant p-value below. Moreover, the level of information sharing (H6), and the importance of information sharing (H7) variables also had a statistically relevant influence on supply chain performance. As a result, existence of a collaborative system between companies would influence supply chain performance by strengthening real-time information access and information sharing. Thus, it is important to construct a collaborative environment where information sharing among companies and cooperation is possible. Conclusions - First, with rapid changes in the business environment, it becomes necessary for enterprises to acquire the right information in order to properly implement SCM. For successful SCM, firms should understand the importance of collaboration with supply chain partners and an internally built collaboration system, which in turn will better promote a partnership commitment with suppliers as well as collaborative integration with buyers. A collaborative system, as we suggest in this paper, facilitates the maintenance of a long-term relationship of trust, and can help reinforce information sharing. Second, it is necessary to increase information sharing over time via a collaborative system so that employees of the suppliers become aware of the system. The more proactive and positive attitudes are towards such a collaborative system by the managerial group, the higher the level of information sharing will be among the users. Successful SCM performance is achieved by information sharing through a collaborative environment rather than by investing only in setting up an information system.

  • 공급망관리(SCM:Supply Chain Management)는 자신의 비즈니스를 개선하고자 노력하는 대부분의 기업들에게 있어서 핵심 목표가 되고 있다. 공급망최적화(SCO:Supply Chain Optimization)는 이러한 개선 노력의 중심 목표로서 등장했으며, 보다 높은 수준의 고객 만족을 제공하기 위해, 공급망 구성원들이 최상의 업무 수행 사례를 공유하여 공급망 상호작용의 최저 원가와 최고 효율 시스템을 개발하기 위한 조직화 된 노력을 의미한다. 이러한 공급망에서 성과를 내기 위해서는 각 구성 요소들 사이의 조정과 협력이 필요하다. 그러나 기업내부와 기업외부의 환경의 동적인 면으로 인해 이러한 조정에 어려움이 있다. 예를 들면 공급업체로부터 원자재 도착시간의 지연, 생산 설비의 고장, 작업자의 질병, 고객의 주문에 대한 취소 및 변경을 계획의 변화를 유발시킨다. 몇 가지의 경우에는 지엽적으로 다루어 질 수 있지만 대부분의 경우는 공급망의 여러 기능들 사이에서 다루어져야만 한다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 중소기업의 각 프로세스를 최적화시키기 위해 에이전트를 이용한 e-SCM 프레임워크를 구축하고, 시뮬레이션 기법을 통해 그에 따른 성과를 제시한다.

This Development was Defined about the Importance of WMS in SCM Environment. The Criterion of Valuation is Normally Measured Time between Taking a Order Receive and Bringing the Items to Customer. The Decreasing Move Time of Order Picker in Warehouse is Directly Influence to the Job Execution. So, this Research is Defined about the Optimized Route of Order Picker and Suggests Algorithm. To do this, Past Algorithm is Studied. It's Easy to Introduce and this Study is Looking for Method about the Noticing of Order Picker. The Algorithm will Improve to be Adapt to Standard Process System.

  • 공급사슬관리(SCM)는 경쟁우위를 점하기 위하여 파트너기업과의 동반성장 방안의 모색과 더불어 지속적 협력관계를 유지하기 위한 노력이 필요하다. 여기에 정보역량이 공급사슬 내에서 많은 역할을 수행하고 있기 때문에 정보역량에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 정보공유와 파트너십 품질과의 관계를 살펴볼 필요성이 크다. 파트너기업 간 지속적 거래관계를 유지하기 위해서는 공급사슬 내 힘의 불균형에 따르는 파트너기업과의 장애요소들을 파악하고 효과적으로 관리하는 전략적 접근이 필요하다. 따라서 파트너기업의 본받을만한 CSV와 비구속적 파워의 속성을 통한 동반성장의 논리를 펼칠 수 있도록 하는 전략적 접근방식을 논할 필요성이 크다고 보여 진다. 최근 CSV는 기존의 CSR과 더불어 사회적 문제 해결이라는 사회적 경제적 창출 관점에서 중요한 이슈가 되고 있다. 자연히 향후 신 경영 패러다임으로써 공유가치창출이 다각도로 검토될 것이다. 본 연구는 SCM의 정보역량 고도화를 위하여 CSV와 비구속적 파워의 개념을 접목하여 사회적인 문제 해결에 따른 기업의 지속 성장 모델을 제안하고자 하였다. SCM 구축업체를 대상으로 한 설문지 142부를 PLS 구조방정식 모형으로 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. CSV와 비구속적 파워 모두 정보공유와 파트너십 품질에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 정보공유와 파트너십 품질을 통한 정보역량 향상을 도모할 수 있다는 결과가 도출되었다. 이를 바탕으로 SCM 참여기업의 상생을 위한 변인으로 CSV와 비구속적 파워의 인식을 높여야 한다는 시사점을 제시하였다.

  • 고객 만족과 납기 충족율을 최대화하기 위하여, 정확하고 실용적인 납기회답 시스템(ATP)은 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 그러나 복잡한 공급사슬관리 환경 하에서 조달, 제조, 분배 등을 모두 고려한 정확한 ATP 수량 할당은 매우 어려운 업무이고, 때문에 많은 연구들이 이루어져 왔다. 지금까지 기존의 선행 연구에서 시도되었던 ATP 모형들은 공통적으로 정수배의 시간 단위만 고려해 왔고, 이는 실제 산업 현장의 ATP 프로세스를 정확하게 반영하지 못하고 있는 비현실적인 가정이라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 SCM을 위하여 비정수 타임 랙을 사용한 ATP 시스템을 고려한다. 기존 연구들에서 이산형의 무리한 가정으로 표현되어 왔던 시간 단위를 동적 생산 함수(dynamic production function) 개념을 통하여 비음의 실수 범위에서의 자유롭게 나누어 고려할 수 있도록 하였다. 이를 통하여 기존 ATP 연구들의 무리한 가정을 제거하였으며, 보다 더 현실에 가까운 ATP 모델을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 특히 공급 사슬(Supply Chain) 전체의 재고와 생산, 운송을 모두 고려하며 고객 주문에 대응하는 통합 ATP 시스템을 설계하였고, 기존 연구들이 미처 고려하지 못한 시간 흐름의 연속성에 중점을 두고 선형 계획(LP) 문제의 형태로 비정수 타임랙(non-integer time lag)을 갖는 ATP 시스템을 모델링하였다.

  • Samsung, recognized as a global leading company, has huge and complex supply chain structures and has been improving them continuously for its fast-growing global businesses. SCM 6 Sigma is the state-of-the-art methodology developed through a combination of SCM innovation concepts accumulated from SCM Business Group in Samsung SDS and 6 Sigma which has successfully settled down as the management innovation tool for many companies in Samsung. The ultimate goal of SCM 6 Sigma is to train and develop future supply chain leaders who are more capable of leading SCM innovations. By leveraging the established 6 Sigma Belt System, Samsung aims to alleviate a shortage of SCM talents that has been a bottleneck in improving SCM performances at its group companies. This explains why SCM 6 Sigma is created. SCM 6 Sigma is the unique and critical component for Samsung to implement its various strategies for continuous improvement of its operations at a higher level of effectiveness and systematically as well. In return on these efforts, many SCM innovation projects have been successfully executed through SCM 6 Sigma up to today. In this paper, we introduce the methodology and explain the business rationale behind it together with its deployment case.

전자제품 제조사 관점에서의 공급사슬 특성을 고려한 재고비용 산정 기준의 제시 (A Study on the Inventory Cost Estimation Criteria Considering Supply Chain Characteristics of a Electronic Product Manufacturer)

  • SCM activities in a company are considered as total innovation through synchronizing supply and demand while maintaining appropriate inventory level and reducing the business operating costs. Until now, even several researches are carried out on the SCM performance of the companies which have introduced and been operating SCM, the research on the cost analysis for the inventory which occurs frequently on supply chain is still insufficient. Especially, for the electronics industry in which the product depreciation is sharp caused by the short product life cycle and the complexity of distribution channels, even the inventory related costs are a major factor in business management, since the current estimated criteria of inventory costs are limited to the interest and maintenance management costs, the criteria do not reflect the total influence of the product depreciation and lost opportunity cost which are related to the business management. Furthermore, even though the rapid price drops of the distributor inventory caused by the frequent new model launch can be covered by the product manufacturers, the scale of total costs related to the inventory has not been conceived because the price compensation is traditionally considered as a market costs. In this research, we analyzed the inventory characteristics of electronics industry in which the price depreciation happens frequently, newly defining the estimated criteria of the product total inventory cost which includes price depreciation from the product manufacturers' view. Finally we focus on the case study of a representative electronics company and verify the scale of the influence on management performance.
