Thermoelectric (TE) materials working in radioisotope thermoelectric generators are irradiated by neutrons throughout its service; thus, investigating the neutron irradiation stability of TE devices is necessary. Herein, the influence of neutron irradiation with fluences of 4.56 × 1010 and 1 × 1013 n/cm2 by pulsed neutron reactor on the electrical and thermal transport properties of n-type Bi2Te2.7Se0.3 and p-type Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 thermoelectric alloys prepared by cold-pressing and molding is investigated. After neutron irradiation, the properties of thermoelectric materials fluctuate, which is related to the material type and irradiation fluence. Different from p-type thermoelectric materials, neutron irradiation has a positive effect on n-type Bi2Te2.7Se0.3 materials. This result might be due to the increase of carrier mobility and the optimization of electrical conductivity. Afterward, the effects of p-type and n-type TE devices with different treatments on the output performance of TE devices are further discussed. The positive and negative effects caused by irradiation can cancel each other to a certain extent. For TE devices paired with p-type Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 and n-type Bi2Te2.7Se0.3 thermoelectric legs, the generated power and conversion efficiency are stable after neutron irradiation.
Purpose: For effective crisis communication in the event of a disaster, we present policy measures by exploring what activities are required of companies on a daily basis. Method: Employees working for L company were surveyed about the disaster response department, disaster message, and perception of the company during the company's response to COVID-19, as well as the level of response behavior of the employee. Results: First, caller characteristics did not have a significant effect on behavioral changes of members. Second, while the disaster response message within the company had no effect on the members' normative behavior, it had a positive effect on the discretionary behavior. Third, caller characteristics and disaster response messages had a positive effect on public relations, and public relations appeared to mediate caller characteristics and members' discretionary behavior. Conclusion: Studies on disaster response messages are required in the disaster control tower inside the company in normal times, and activities to build a member-friendly corporate culture for strengthening public relations are needed.
The purpose of this study was to verify the mediating effect of self-efficacy in the effect of social workers' ethical consciousness on job satisfaction. Based on the ratio of the statistical yearbook of Korean social workers in 2020, the subjects of the study conducted an online survey on 512 social workers working at social welfare facilities in Seoul. The study was conducted with IRB approval. The analysis and statistics of this study used SPSS & AMOS 25.0. Bootstrapping was used to verify the mediating effect of self-efficacy in the effect of social workers' ethical consciousness on job satisfaction. As a result of the study, the positive effect on self-efficacy and job satisfaction of social workers was verified. In addition, the positive mediating effect of self-efficacy was verified between the ethical consciousness of social workers on job satisfaction. The results of the study suggest the importance of systems and practices to support capacity building and promote self-efficacy for ethical awareness to improve job satisfaction of social workers.
Background: COVID-19 pandemic represented a unique stressful event that affected the physical health and psychological well-being (PWB) of individuals and communities. Monitoring PWB is essential not only to clarify the burden on mental health effects but also to define targeted psychological-supporting measures. This cross-sectional study evaluated the PWB of Italian firefighters during the pandemic. Methods: Firefighters recruited during the pandemic period filled out a self-administered questionnaire, the Psychological General Well-Being Index, during the health surveillance medical examination. This tool is usually used to assess the global PWB and explores six subdomains: anxiety, depressed mood, positive well-being, self-control, general health, and vitality. The influencing roles of age, gender, working activities, COVID-19, and pandemic restrictive measures were also explored. Results: A total of 742 firefighters completed the survey. The aggregate median PWB global score was in the 'no distress"" range (94.3 ± 10.3), which was higher than that observed in studies conducted using the same tool in the Italian general population during the same pandemic period. Similar findings were observed in the specific subdomains, thus suggesting that the investigated population was in good PWB condition. Interestingly, significantly better outcomes were detected in the younger firefighters. Conclusion: Our data showed a satisfactory PWB situation in firefighters that could be related to different professional factors such as work organization and mental and physical training. In particular, our results would suggest the hypothesis that in firefighters, maintaining a minimum/moderate level of physical activity (consisting of even just going to work) might have a profoundly positive impact on psychological health and well-being.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide basic data to understand the organizational culture of nurses by categorizing nurses' experience of coping with bullying in the workplace through Q methodology and analyzing the characteristics of each type, and to induce correct policy measures and interventions to create an atmosphere created in the nursing clinical field to be more advanced and positive. Methods: To form the Q population, focus group interviews were conducted with nurses working for more than six months at two general hospitals in Seoul and Gyeonggi. Interviews were conducted by 12 nurses introduced to participants who can provide researchers with a wealth of information on workplace bullying experiences without filtration. In addition, the Q population was extracted by reviewing the results. Based on the results derived from this, 38 Q statements in total were extracted. Forty clinical nurses were required to classify Q sample statements, and the data collected through this were analyzed using the pc-QUANAL program. Results: As a result of the analysis, a total of five types of clinical nurses' experiences of coping with bullying in the workplace were identified: 'tense emotion-based tolerance response,' 'positive thinking-based self-effort response', 'individualistic thinking-based passive response', 'support system-based emotional expression response' and 'active response centered on problem-solving'. Conclusion: The derived response types are expected to be guidelines for suggesting strategies to eradicate bullying in the workplace at the organizational level, individual level, prevention level, and organizational culture level.

This study is a descriptive research study to identify work stress, resilience, nursing performance and influencing factors so that nurses in small and medium-sized hospitals can flexibly cope with rapidly changing medical environments. The subjects of the study were 219 nurses working at four small and medium-sized hospitals located in S region, and the survey was conducted using a structured questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. There was a negative correlation between work stress and nursing performance in small and medium-sized hospital nurses (r=-0.150, p<.05), and a positive correlation between work stress and resilience (r=0.160, p<.05). Nursing performance showed a positive correlation with resilience (r=0.351, p<.01). The variable affecting nursing performance was resilience (𝛽=.231, p<.01), and its explanatory power was 17.4% (Adj.R2=0.174, p<.001). Therefore, in order to improve the nursing performance of nurses, it is necessary to increase resilience.
Purpose : This study aims to assess the extent of work value, psychological ownership, the nursing work environment, and retention intention, examine the correlation between these variables, and identify the factors that influence retention intention. The goal is to provide foundational data to enhance retention intention. Method : The study involved 159 nurses employed at a tertiary general hospital and a general hospital. Data were gathered through structured questionnaires and analyzed using an independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis with a simultaneous stepwise method, all conducted using the SPSS 26.0 software. Results : The intention to remain in the profession was found to have a positive correlation with work value (r = .45, p < .001), psychological ownership (r = .37, p < .001), and the nursing work environment (r = .27, p = .001). Significant factors influencing the intention to stay included total clinical career (𝛽 = .17, p = .016), work value (𝛽 = .38, p < .001), and psychological ownership (𝛽 = .19, p = .020). These variables accounted for 24.1% of the variance in the intention to remain in the profession (F = 17.71, p < .001). Conclusion: To enhance the intention of hospital staff to remain in their positions, it is crucial to identify and bolster positive psychological competencies, such as a sense of work value and psychological ownership.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of self-esteem on the safety culture and safety behavior of airline pilots and to confirm whether job satisfaction has a mediating effect in these relationships. It was examined whether self-esteem directly affects safety culture and safety behavior, and indirectly through job satisfaction. As a result of the study, self-esteem did not have a direct significant effect on safety culture, but indirectly had a positive effect through job satisfaction. In addition, self-esteem had a direct significant positive effect on safety behavior, and job satisfaction partially mediated this relationship. This suggests that pilots with higher self-esteem practice safety behavior more actively, and job satisfaction can promote such behavior. These results show the importance of organizational support such as programs and support for enhancing pilots' self-esteem, fair compensation for improving job satisfaction, improving working environment, and providing career development opportunities in airlines, and are intended to be used as basic data for this.
Purpose - The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of organizational citizenship behavior on unethical pro-organization behavior considering two sub-dimensions of organizational citizenship behavior such as citizenship behavior for individual and citizenship behavior for organization. In addition to this, this study was to identify of the moderating effect of machiavellism. Design/methodology/approach - This study collected 269 sample questionnaires from employees who are working for Korean companies. To examine the hypotheses, this study used hierarchical regression analysis. Findings - First, results showed that there is a significant positive effect of citizenship behavior for organization on unethical pro-organization behavior, but citizenship behavior for individual did not have any significant effect on unethical pro-organization behavior. Second, same with the previous results, machiavellism only had its significant moderating effect on the relationship between citizenship behavior for organization and unethical pro-organizational behavior, not on citizenship behavior for individual. The moderating effect strengthened the positive relationship. Research implications or Originality - Although organizational citizenship behavior and unethical pro-organization behavior are studied many times, but there is no research examining the relationship between these two concepts. these two concepts share the figure that these behaviors are pro-organizational. The only differences between the two is ethical or not. So, this study identified the relationship and moderating effect of machiavellism. In doing so, this study provided novel implications for the researchers of this filed.
In this Study, Mo back electrode were deposited as the functions of various working pressure, deposition time and plasma per-treatment on sodalime glass (SLG) for application to CIGS thin film solar cell using by DC sputtering method, and were analyzed Mo change to $MoSe_2$ layer through selenization processes. And finally Mo back electrode characteristics were evaluated as application to CIGS device after Al/AZO/ZnO/CdS/CIGS/Mo/SLG fabrication. Mo films fabricated as a function of the working pressure from 1.3 to 4.9mTorr are that physical thickness changed to increase from 1.24 to 1.27 ${\mu}m$ and electrical characteristics of sheet resistance changed to increase from 0.195 to 0.242 ${\Omega}/sq$ as according to the higher working pressure. We could find out that Mo film have more dense in lower working pressure because positive Ar ions have higher energy in lower pressure when ions impact to Mo target, and have dominated (100) columnar structure without working pressure. Also Mo films fabricated as a function of the deposition time are that physical thickness changed to increase from 0.15 to 1.24 ${\mu}m$ and electrical characteristics of sheet resistance changed to decrease from 2.75 to 0.195 ${\Omega}/sq$ as according to the increasing of deposition time. This is reasonable because more thick metal film have better electrical characteristics. We investigated Mo change to $MoSe_2$ layer through selenization processes after Se/Mo/SLG fabrication as a function of the selenization time from 5 to 40 minutes. $MoSe_2$ thickness were changed to increase as according to the increasing of selenization time. We could find out that we have to control $MoSe_2$ thickness to get ohmic contact characteristics as controlling of proper selenization time. And we fabricated and evaluated CIGS thin film solar cell device as Al/AZO/ZnO/CdS/CIGS/Mo/SLG structures depend on Mo thickness 1.2 ${\mu}m$ and 0.6 ${\mu}m$. The efficiency of CIGS device with 0.6 ${\mu}m$ Mo thickness is batter as 9.46% because Na ion of SLG can move to CIGS layer more faster through thin Mo layer. The adhesion characteristics of Mo back electrode on SLG were improved better as plasma pre-treatment on SLG substrate before Mo deposition. And we could expect better efficiency of CIGS thin film solar cell as controlling of Mo thickness and $MoSe_2$ thickness depend on Na effect and selenization time.
