Alloy 718 nozzle component was manufactured by hot working and electron beam welding process. In this process, domestic 718 materials were applied and evaluated. Hot compression tests were carried out at a lot of process conditions and microstructural evaluation was investigated. Using the results, FEM simulations were performed in order to optimize the hot working process. After hot working, forged work-pieces were machined and welded by electron beam. Final nozzle component were heat treated and their microstructure and mechanical properties were investigated.

A German shepherd dog, male, seven-month-old, with gastric dilatation was examined clinicopathologically and radiographically. X-ray findings showed radiopaque linear materials, which were identified a number of pieces of commercial antiparasitic collar, $Preventic^{\circledR}$(Amitraz, Virbac) by gastrotomy. The dog became good a day after removal of the materials in the stomach. It was considered that the gastric dilatation was caused by rapid absorption of the amitraz which could induce paralysis of stomach.

In a so-called cleft (or, pseudocleft), the kes-phrase seems to refer to a person, even though kes is generally incompatible with human beings. In this paper, I claim that in a cleft, the kes-phrase can refer to a concept, and that a concept of human beings is not a person. I give some pieces of evidence for this claim. In a cleft, the kes-phrase cannot be pluralized only when it is supposed to denote a human being. Moreover, in such a case, the NP before the copula cannot be interpreted as the meaning of a predicate. Furthermore, in a cleft two kes-phrases are not conjoined with (k)wa only when they seem to denote human beings. All the observations can be explained by the claim that the kes-phrase denotes a concept in such cases. A concept cannot be used as a predicate, pluralized, or conjoined to refer to objects that are subsumed under a concept. When the kes-phrase denotes a concept, the cleft sentence is an identity statement.

"Uibanghappyeon(醫方合編)" is a large-scale medical formulary with "Samuiilheombang(三意一驗方)" and "Chon-gagugeupbang(村家救急方)" at its core, combined with personal experience of the compiler and various pieces of fragmentary knowledge. This book was brought into existence through the cumulation of numerous folk medicinal remedies and cannot be considered a work of professional expertise. The historic worth of this book in medicine can be found in the fact that it has kept the tradition of empirical medicine based on first sia alive, in fusing the practice of late Joseon(朝鮮) empirical prescriptions, as can be seen in "Samuiilheombang(三意一驗方)", and the practice of empirical medicine, as can be seen in "Chon-gagugeupbang(村家救急方)", together.

형태 변환이란 컴퓨터 그래픽스의 중요한 기본 연산중의 하나로, 하나의 그림이나 물체로부터 또 다른 그림이나 물체로 그 모양이 변화하는 과정을 연속적으로 보여주는 연산이다. 일반적으로 이 연산을 두 그림 사이의 대응이 되는 점들을 지정하고 각 점들이 변화하는 과정을 표현하기 위해 필요한 중간 단계를 생성하기 위해서 복잡한 함수를 계산하는 방법을 사용하여왔다. 이러한 방법은 많은 양의 계산이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 수학적인 계산이 아니라 자료구조를 사용한 연산(operation)을 이용하는 새로운 형태 변환 알고리즘을 제안한다. 여기서 제안하는 알고리즘은 2차원 단순 다각형을 그보다 단순한 위상을 갖는 단조 다각형으로 분할하고, 각 단조 다각형을 삼각 분할하여 얻어진 듀얼 트리를 이용하여 형태를 변환하는 알고리즘이다. 사실적인 효과를 극대화하기 위해서는 될 수 있는 한 많은 중간 단계를 생성해야 하는데, 기존의 함수 계산이 아닌 트리를 이용한 연산을 함으로써 그 과정을 단순화 할 수 있다는 것이 본 알고리즘의 가장 큰 특징이다.

I. Objective This study evaluated the microshear bond strength of teeth bleached with commercial whitening strips and compared with those bleached with home bleaching gel. II. Materials and Methods Twelve exrtacted central incisors were cut into pieces and central four segments were chosen from each tooth and embedded in acrylic resin. Four blocks with 12 tooth segments embedded in acrylic resin were acquired and numbered from one to four. Block 1 was bleached with Crest Whitestrips, block 2 with Claren, block 3 with Opalescence tooth whitening gel(10% carbamide peroxide).(omitted)

Diamond-like carbon(DLC) films were directly deposited onto germanium(Ge) witness pieces and lenses by a capacitively coupled 13.56 MHz RF glow discharge plasma with $CH_4$ gas. The characterizations of DLC films were measured using a Raman and FTIR spectrometer. The configuration of Raman and FTIR spectra had a traditional shape. The IR transmittance was measured using an IR spectrophotometer. The maximum values of the IR transmission of Ge with the DLC/Ge/DLC, DLC/Ge/BBAR (broad band antireflection), DLC/Ge, and BBAR/Ge structures are 98%, 93%, 64%, and 63.5%, respectively, which come up to the theoretical values. The uniform DLC films were obtained by a rotation of the cathode at certain conditions.

The purpose of the study is to develop a synthetic method for generating arbitrary number of not the same but similar texture images. The method includes processes to extract basic shape elements from texture images originating in actual objects, to select them to reappear the image features and to arrange them in a image plane. The authors have already proposed the shape-pass type filter bank assuming that the sensual impression mainly depends on minute shapes existing in the texture images. By use of nine basic shape elements, namely black/white-roof, black/white-line, black/white-snake, black/white-pepper, and cliff, natural texture images originating in actual objects have been characterized by feature vectors in a nine dimensional space. The aim of this paper is to suggest the cutting stock problems which are two-dimensional in form, but can be treated as the optimization methods for one-dimensional cutting stock problem by exploiting the length requirement of the products. The solution method consists of two stages. The first calculates the number of roll pieces of each size. Next, 1-dimensional cutting stock model is set up. One heuristic method to calculate the number of each roll is suggested. The trim loss minization criteria are used to design the objective function. This model can be solved by the conventional cutting stock procedures based on enumerating the possible cutting patterns.

The noises generated from the air-conditioning duct are known to strongly affect the indoor-noises of high speed trains. The acoustic characteristics of an air-conditioning duct should depend on the geometry and shape of the duct. The structural material for Korean high speed train is supposed to be changed from Steel, which was used for TGV, to Aluminum in order to reduce the total train weight. Accordingly, the shape and layout of the air-conditioning duct of Korean high speed train will be different from that of TGV. Thus, this paper introduces a analytical method to predict the noise attenuation through the air-conditioning duct, based on the ISO 7235. In this method, the whole duct is divided into several pieces and the noise attenuations predicted for each duct piece are integrated to get the noise attenuation for the whole duct system. The validity of the method introduced herein is discussed through some numerical tests.
