  • In this study, high school students' problem-solving strategy-performing ability was measured by an essay-type test. The relationship between students' logical thinking ability and strategy-performing ability was also investigated. Four classes (N=187) were selected from two high schools in Seoul, and the strategy performance ability test and the Group Assessment of Logical Thinking (GALT) were administered. Evaluation scheme for strategy-performing ability consists of 7 subcategories - understanding given of problems, recalling related law, setting up subgoals, deriving physical quantities, logical progress, mathematical execution, and reviewing. The intercoder agreement for scaling was .92, which indicated substantial strength of agreement. The results revealed that students' ability of understanding given of problems and mathematical execution was relatively high. However, their ability of setting up subgoals and reviewing was very low. The total scores of the strategy performance ability test and all of the scores of each subcategory were significantly correlated with the GALT scores.

  • This study was a descriptive research study targeting medical students to determine the impact of self-directed learning ability, self-regulated learning, and communication ability on self-efficacy in performing medical treatment. This study randomly selected medical students from Region J, located in Province G, as the approximate population, and a total of 125 copies were finally analyzed. Descriptive statistics were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS/25. Self-efficacy in performing medical treatment was related to self-directed learning ability (r=.61, p<.001), self-regulated learning (r=.50, p<.001), and communication ability (r=.33, p<.001). There was a positive correlation with all of them. As a result of analyzing the variables that affect the subject's self-efficacy in performing medical treatment using hierarchical multiple regression, self-directed learning ability was found to be the factor that best predicts self-efficacy in performing medical treatment, followed by self-regulated learning and communication ability. The total explanatory power was 46.6%. Acquiring specialized knowledge and becoming a doctor after graduation through clinical practice and acquiring the basic clinical practice skills necessary to successfully perform one's duties are important tasks that medical students must accomplish. Therefore, in order to improve medical students' self-efficacy in performing medical treatment, the importance of improving health care, major satisfaction, and life satisfaction must be recognized and managed. In addition, efforts to develop programs and improve systematic systems that can improve self-directed learning, self-regulated learning, and communication skills should also be supported.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find out the effectiveness of the CPR training for non-healthcare providers by checking the performing ability of the subjects before and after the teaching class. Method: This study was a single primary experimental study designed with pre and post test. Study subjects were 37 office staffs who participated in all test from March, 10th, 2005 to April, 18th, 2005. The tools of this study were CPR performing evaluation sheet and CPR teaching computer program. Data analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, repeated ANOVA and Bonferroni with SPSS 12.0 program. Result: The CPR practice performing ability statistically significant increased by the step of test. The CPR practice performing ability of learning experience group had significantly high score than non experience group. The self-confidence about CPR practice when faced emergency situation was increased after practice training. Conclusion: One to one CPR practice teaching method using simulation by CPR teaching specialists was turned out to be very effective in improving the ability of CPR practice of non-healthcare providers in a tertiary hospital than self-study.

  • Creative thinking and fusion diversity of the performing arts pursue the settlement of empirical value realization by assuming new communication by genre. This new value and communication can create a type of collective intelligence with a different attempt based on the individual communication and horizontal thinking of the masses. Therefore, the empirical value and communication of the 21st century convergence(fusion) performing arts is possible through new types and analysis, and also were understood as the horizontal creation structure of the artist. As a result, first, the concept of the right value of 'convergence' was perceived as empirical communication depending on the empirical thinking ability of genre artists. Second, off-genre and collaborative tendencies are due to cooperation based on intellectual ability and recognition of horizontal communication by genre. Third, in the collaboration, the public's individualized communication ability and universal communication recognition should be premised and perceived the empirical definition about the collective intelligence. In conclusion, it is concluded that empirical value and communication of convergence performing arts enable to the experimental creation of collective intelligence, and that the relationship structure extends to a meaningful transition of convergence interpretation and expression of performing arts.

  • This study was conducted to identify factors influencinging confidence in performing patient safety management (PSM) of nursing students. The subjects of this study were 230 nursing students in four universities in two cities. Data were collected between June 22 and June 26, 2020 using by completing structured self report questionnaires. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 21.0. programs. In correlation analysis, significant positive correlations were found between confidence in performing PSM, PSM knowledge(r=.321, p<.001), PSM attitude(r=.584, p<.001), and clinical decision making ability(𝛽=.460, p<.001). In multiple regression analysis, PSM attitude(𝛽=.35, p=.005) and clinical decision making ability(𝛽=.23, p<.001) were factors predicting confidence in performing PSM, which explained 34.2% of the variance in the model. Therefore, we emphasize that continuing customized convergence educational programs are required to improve nursing student's confidence in performing PSM.
