Recently, LED is widely used in the kinds of display devices or lighting. In this paper, we fabricated LED chamber light for naval vessels to replace to conventional chamber light using incandescent lamp. The LED package of chamber light was designed with luminous intensity of 5.5 cd, color temperature of $6,000{\pm}500K$, forward voltage of 3~3.2 V and input current of 60 mA. A LED module was composed of 36 LED packages and metal PCB. The VF and luminous intensity of LED package were getting down when temperature increased. The temperature of LED chamber light was measured by changing the number of LED package and applied current for one hour when an electric current flow. The heat transfer capability have been improved by using metal PCB. The power consumption of LED chamber light reduced by 86% compared to the conventional chamber light using incandescent lamp.
A complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) binary image sensor is proposed for low-power and low-noise operation. The proposed binary image sensor has the advantages of reduced power consumption and fixed pattern noise (FPN). A gate/body-tied (GBT) p-channel metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (PMOSFET)-type photodetector is used as the proposed CMOS binary image sensor. The GBT PMOSFET-type photodetector has a floating gate that amplifies the photocurrent generated by incident light. Therefore, the sensitivity of the GBT PMOSFET-type photodetector is higher than that of other photodetectors. The proposed CMOS binary image sensor consists of a pixel array with $394(H){\times}250(V)$ pixels, scanners, bias circuits, and column parallel readout circuits for binary image processing. The proposed CMOS binary image sensor was analyzed by simulation. Using the dynamic comparator, a power consumption reduction of approximately 99.7% was achieved, and this performance was verified by the simulation by comparing the results with those of a two-stage comparator. Also, it was confirmed using simulation that the FPN of the proposed CMOS binary image sensor was successfully reduced by use of the double sampling process.
Exposure to heavy metals through the consumption of contaminated seafood poses a health risk to humans. In Korea, seafood imports are increasing with consumption, with the largest increase in imported seafood coming from Russia. Peter the Great Bay and the Razdolnaya River are both major fisheries and protected areas under the Northwest Pacific Action Plan located near Vladivostok, Russia. This study analyzed heavy metal [cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), total mercury (tHg), and total (tAs), and inorganic (iAs) arsenic] concentrations in shellfish and crustaceans collected from these areas. Except for iAs, the major toxic heavy metal concentrations of the samples met the national standards (Cd, 0.024-0.982 and 0.003-0.379 mg/kg; Pb, 0.021-1.533 and 0.002 mg/kg; tHg, 0.006-0.015 and 0.036-0.097 mg/kg). The tAs concentrations of three samples exceeded the Russian standard (5 mg/kg, wet weight), whereas the iAs concentrations were extremely low (ND-0.033 mg/kg). Compared with the provisional tolerable weekly intake (PTWI) of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives, the percentages of PTWI of Cd, Pb, and tHg were 0.239%, 0.001-0.049%, and 0.013-0.302%, respectively. These findings reveal that there is no potential health risk by heavy metals through the consumption of Russian seafood obtained in the surveyed areas.

A 10-bit 10MS/s low power consumption successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) using a straightforward capacitive digital-to-analog converter (DAC) is presented in this paper. In the proposed capacitive DAC, switching is always straightforward, and its value is half of the peak-to-peak voltage in each step. Also the most significant bit (MSB) is decided without any switching power consumption. The application of the straightforward switching causes lower power consumption in the structure. The input is sampled at the bottom plate of the capacitor digital-to-analog converter (CDAC) as it provides better linearity and a higher effective number of bits. The comparator applies adaptive power control, which reduces the overall power consumption. The differential prototype SAR ADC was implemented with $0.18{\mu}m$ complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology and achieves an effective number of bits (ENOB) of 9.49 at a sampling frequency of 10MS/s. The structure consumes 0.522mW from a 1.8V supply. Signal to noise-plus-distortion ratio (SNDR) and spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) are 59.5 dB and 67.1 dB and the figure of merit (FOM) is 95 fJ/conversion-step.

The levels of five heavy metals (mercury, cadmium, lead, copper and zinc) were analyzed in edible tissues of Lophius piscatorius Linnaeus, 1758 marketed in Sinop coasts of the Black Sea by using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. With the present study, heavy metal values of this fish in the Black Sea were examined for the first time. The mean concentrations in mg kg-1 wet wt. of Hg, Cd, Pb, Cu and Zn were 0.022, 0.009, 0.035, 6.3 and 16 mg kg-1 wet wt., respectively. The results of the present study indicate that the consumption of muscle from anglerfish can be considered safe in terms of permissible legal limits. It is clear that, Zn showed the high accumulation in muscle tissue followed by Cu, while non-essential metals Hg, Cd and Pb showed the low accumulation. This could be explained by the fact that Zn and Cu are essential elements in the bodies of living organisms and has an important role in different physiological processes. In the present study, heavy metal levels in angler fish were low. Likewise, the calculated HI values were lower than one. In conclusion, the results of the present study indicate that the consumption of muscle from anglerfish can be considered safe in terms of permissible legal limits and hazard index values.
