In this paper we represented the results of surveying on the present condition of mathematics education and the contents of the mathematics text books that are usually taught in Art High Schools interest in mathematics subjects and to achieve the higher level of mathematical abilities. We would like to raise their interest in mathematics and to improve the efficiency of teaching level on the basis of the 7th Mathematics Curriculum Revision. Some suggestions are of offered by considering the level of their mathematical abilities in Art High Schools and the present contents of the mathematical subjects from following views ⑴ the aspect of studying method ⑵ the aspect of revising contents of mathematics textbooks for them ⑶ the aspect of educational policies for Art High Schools

This study aimed to understand the needs of changes in the teaching-learning environment in the university and to develop the liberal art subject of mathematics. The changes of mathematical belief in the university students were investigated to understand how the liberal art subject of mathematics affected them related to mathematics. Upon the study results, the significant changes were occurred from the utility factor on the subject of mathematics in mathematical belief, the importance factor of the answers in the teaching-learning belief, teaching activity factor of the teachers, and inborn capability factor in the belief on the self-concept. The meaningful learning environment and teaching method for the liberal art subject of mathematics are suggested further by these results.

In this study we consider ${\varphi}$-conformally flat, ${\varphi}$-conharmonically flat, ${\varphi}$-projectively at and ${\varphi}$-concircularly flat Lorentzian ${\alpha}$-Sasakian manifolds. In all cases, we get the manifold will be an ${\eta}$-Einstein manifold.

In this paper, we investigate several values of the Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art on mathematics educational viewpoint. We study them with four points of view: mathematical approach through problems of real life, algorithmization of concept and type, significance of affective domain and application of arithmetic. The result shows that the Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art have great meaning of today's Korean mathematics education and possibility of application.

In this study, we will develop and implement the teaching program of 'Function', on the subject of "Poster-Making utilizing the Graph Art" in the Math Camp for middle-school students. And we will examine the didactical significance through student's activities and products. The teaching program of 'Function' utilizing the Graph Art can be promoted self-directly the understanding of 'Function' concept and the ability for handling 'Function'. In the process of drawing up the graph art, in particular, this program help students to promote the ability for problem-solving and mathematical thinking, and to communicate mathematically and attain the his own level. Ultimately, this program have a positive influence upon cognitive and affective and areas with regard to mathematics.

In this paper, the flow properties of staggered labyrinth seals are investigated. Leakage flowrates and pressure distributions are calculated for this seal. Then the dynamic stiffness and damping coefficients are calculated. The results are compared to the results of the some other papers.

The present paper deals with Lorentzian ${\alpha}-Sasakian$ manifolds with conformally flat and quasi conform ally flat curvature tensor. It is shown that in both cases, the manifold is locally isometric with a sphere $S^{2^{n}+1}(c)$. Further it is shown that an Lorentzian ${\alpha}-Sasakian$ manifold with R(X, Y).C = 0 is locally isometric with a sphere $S^{2^{n}+1}(c)$, where c = ${\alpha}^2$.
