Previous studies have shown that many socio-demographic-economic students' background and motivation have impacted the level of academic achievement. Thus, the aim of this research was to investigate the relationship between the level of academic achievement and satisfaction of various spatial environment through survey. For that purpose, one university campus was selected and evaluation indexes were categorized into five major components of physical and experimental environment, later supported by factor analysis. Correlation analysis found that extracted factors were significantly interrelated to academic achievement. Further, regression analysis also explored sense of belonging as major predictor of academic achievement. Finally the study suggested that campus plan be approached carefully, because such experimental environment as diverse club activities at outdoor environment is a key element to academic achievement even though rated low scores in satisfaction.

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to determine effect of incivility, resilience, and social support experienced by nursing students on burnout in clinical practice. Methods: Subjects were 140 nursing students who agreed to participate in this study. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS WIN 23.0 program. Results: Burnout showed significantly positive correlation with incivility but significantly negative correlations with resilience and social support. Factors affecting burnout were satisfaction with major-dissatisfaction, satisfaction with major-average, social support, grade, and relationship with peers. Satisfaction with major (dissatisfaction) had the greatest effect on burnout, explaining 41% of the total variance. Conclusion: According to this study, dissatisfaction with major was identified as the most significant factor influencing burnout of nursing students in clinical practice. Therefore, it is important to develop and implement programs that can reduce dissatisfaction with major and increase social support and relationship with peers in order to lower burnout of nursing students. In addition, a systemic management of fourth-grade students with a high level of clinical practice is necessary to reduce the level of clinical practice. The authors declared no conflict of interest.

All of the participants completed the LED smart bag processes of design ideation, material selection, production, and styling using an eco-bag (one of the fashion items and as an LED wearable device). As a result of the participants' satisfaction (on a 5-point scale), most items showed a high level of satisfaction of 4.39 points or more. The smart bag program was evaluated to increase interest based on the time allotted and the students' level and to bolster their understanding of, and interest in, the fashion major. Therefore, this study is expected to be baseline to explore diversification of the fashion major work experience program, in order to create interest in the fashion major based on creative convergence competency.

  • This study aimed to investigate the effects of work value and major satisfaction of dental hygiene students on career decision self-efficacy. A survey was conducted on dental hygiene students of a university in B area, and data were analyzed by using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0 program. The extrinsic work value had a positive effect on the career decision self-efficacy directly and a negative effect on the major satisfaction, a mediator. The intrinsic work value had a positive effect on the major satisfaction directly. Additionally, extrinsic and intrinsic work values had an indirect effect on career decision self-efficacy through major satisfaction. The results suggest that it is necessary to form desirable work values and increase the level of major satisfaction in order to improve career decision self-efficacy and could be used as fundamental data for setting a career and education direction of dental hygiene students.
