  • Real-time traffic detection scheme based on Computer Vision is capable of efficient traffic control using automatically computed traffic information and obstacle detection in moving automobiles. Traffic information is extracted by segmenting vehicle region from road images, in traffic detection system. In this paper, we propose the advanced segmentation of vehicle from road images using multiple local region information. Because multiple local region overlapped in the same lane is processed sequentially from small, the traffic detection error can be corrected.

  • The synthesis and characterization of third- and fifth-generation poly(propylene imine) dendrimers terminated with imidazole moieties is reported. Functionalization was achieved using simple peptide coupling reagents. These materials were characte rized by MALDI-MS, NMR, and titration. The use of these endgroup-functionalized dendrimers as catalysts for the hydrolysis of 2,4-dinitrophenyl acetate is described. Molecular simulations provide a basis for interpreting the catalytic data.

  • This research presets the method of determining basic capacity of signalized intersection using the concept of ideal saturation flow rate. Vehicle discharge rates during green time were collected and studied as part of the preparation of Korean Highway Capacity Manual. From the result of this study the ideal saturation flow rate and saturation queue position were determined. In addition, based on the ideal saturation flow rate two geometric adjustment factors(lane width and grade adjustment factors) were studied. The results were presented in this paper.

  • The Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI) is developing the Bimodal-tram. The vehicle has a navigation control system (NCS) for automatic driving. The vehicle has to follow a reference path in automatic mode. NCS uses magnetic markers to calculate the vehicle position. The vehicle lane is marked with permanent magnets that are buried in the road. In this purpose, we show the characteristics and the configuration of NCS.

  • 본 논문에서는 효율성 높은 차선 인식 및 장애물 검출을 위한 알고리즘을 제안한다. 입력된 영상을 배경영상과 도로 영상으로 나눈 후 도로영역에서 Hough 변환을 이용하여 차선을 검출 하도록 한다. 또한 자동차의 그림자와 같은 특징 정보를 활용하여 주행 중인 차량을 검출한다. 영상의 잡음을 최소화하기 위한 알고리즘을 적용하여 파선 인식률을 높일 수 있는 방법을 연구한다.

  • 논문에서는 비전센서로 전방도로영상을 획득하여 차선인식과 정을 거쳐 자율주행에 필요한 도로정보를 추출하고 사고를 방지할 수 있게 경보음을 발생하는 기법을 제시한다. 비전을 통해 입력되는 정보중 직선도로나 곡선도로의 외곽에 해당하는 백색 선만을 인식하는 알고리즘이 필요하다. 이러한 알고리즘을 수행하기 위해서는 많은 계산량이 필요로 하기 때문에 실시간의 자율주행 시스템에의 적용은 제약이 수반된다. 본 논문은 이와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해 세선화 영역 및 차선이탈경보시스템(LDWS) 알고리즘을 제시한다.

  • 이 논문은 차선의 경계가 있는 도로에서 촬영된 흑백영상에서 차선에 관한 정보를 찾아 검출하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 영강을 블록 단위로 나누고 직선회귀모형(Linear Regression Analysis)을 사용하여 기울기와 y절편(intercept)을 구한다. 검출된 에지의 위치정보를 블록을 이용하여 다음 프레임에 보내고, 다음 프레임에서 에지의 위지정보와 y절편, 기울기를 이용해 계속 추적해 가는 방법을 통하여 검출의 정확도를 높이고자 하였다.

  • This paper investigates the problems of grouping N products on an assembly line with an objective of maximizing the option grouping rate. Before developing a mixed model grouping algorithm, simulation studies are committed for developing operating rules and evaluating the layout production systems. A mixed model grouping algorithm is suggested and it is applied to the color selection lane in automobile production system, which reveals a high mixed model grouping rate.

  • Traction control systems are used to prevent the wheel slippage and to maximize the traction force. A new scheme of controlling the wheel slip during cornering by varying the slip ration as a function of the slip angle is proposed and dynamically simulated with the model of a front wheel driven passenger vehicle. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme is superior to conventional ones based on the fixed slip ratio during cornering and lane changes.
