Competency Model Development for Job Creation for Undergraduate Students: Focusing on Undergraduate Students Preparing for Franchise Job Creation

  • Purpose: This study was conducted for purpose to derive a model of the founding competency of undergraduate students preparing for job creation. We want to support undergraduate students who are preparing to start a job creation so that they can successfully start a job creation. In Korea, research on entrepreneurship competency has been actively conducted for a variety of subjects including undergraduate students, but research on job creation competency is insufficient. To this end, we intend to contribute to the success of undergraduate students preparing for job creation by deriving a job competency model. Research design, data, and methodology: In order to derive job creation competency, interviews were conducted with best practices in the job creation activity process, and the job creation competency was derived using Spencer and Spencer's competency model development process and competency dictionary. Result: The derived competencies were further supplemented through the verification of job creation experts and HRD experts, and a total of 3 competency groups, 13 competences, and 44 specific actions were derived. The derived job creation competency model is significant in that it is an initial study that attempts to develop job creation competency, that it can be a reference point for developing curriculum for undergraduate students preparing for job creation, and that they have developed a competency model in the new field of job creation. However, despite this significance, there are some limitations. First, the derived competency model did not perform validity verification using quantitative research. Second, the difference analysis between the excellent group and the average group was not conducted. Third, the level of behaviors could not be staged. Lastly, it was not possible to compare it with the competency of franchisor and job creation for undergraduate student competency. Therefore, it is necessary to upgrade the job creation competency model by conducting follow-up studies. The following is suggested as a follow-up study. First, verification of the validity of job creation competency, and second, a comparative study of excellent cases and average group. Third, a study on the level of action level of job creation competency. Lastly, it is a comparative study of job creation competency and the competency of franchise affiliates.

간호사의 간호역량이 직무만족과 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향 (An Analysis of Nursing Competency affecting on Job Satisfaction and Nursing Performance among Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of nursing competency of nurses on job satisfaction and nursing performance. Method: Using a structured questionnaire, data were collected from 368 nurses. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test and pearson correlation coefficient with SAS package were used for data analysis. Results: The total mean score for nursing competency was 2.65, with scores for subcategories as follows: ethical competency 2.74, personal competency 2.65, esthetical competency 2.64, and scientific competency 2.61. The mean score of total job satisfaction was 3.18 on a 5 point scale, and nursing performance was 2.97 on a 4 point scale. Total nursing competency and total subcategories of nursing competency perceived by nurses were positively related to job satisfaction and nursing performance. Conclusion: In conclusion, nursing competency of nurses influence job satisfaction and nursing performance. With these result, it is necessary to concentrate on improving nursing competency of nurses to increase job satisfaction and nursing performance.

방사선사의 초음파검사 시 체감하는 직무만족도의 구조적 관계 해석 (Analysis of Structural Relationship of Job Satisfaction Levels Felt in Ultrasound Examination by Radiological Technologists)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the structural relationship between job satisfaction levels felt during ultrasound examination of radiological technologists (RTs) using a structural equation model. The subjects were a total of 203 RTs currently working in medical institutions. The method was conducted as a survey study using a questionnaire consisting of a total of 29 questions consisting of demographic characteristics and job satisfaction levels that were self-efficacy, job competency, extrinsic compensation, and job satisfaction. The reliability was secured with the Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.6 or higher. For statistical analysis, a significant difference between the frequency analysis of demographic characteristics and the mean of the job satisfaction levels were performed by independent sample T-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Scheffe's post hoc test. The correlation analysis between variables was tested with Spearman's and Pearson's correlation coefficient. We analyzed the structural relationships between variables by structural equations. As a result, first, job competency and extrinsic compensation had a positive effect on job satisfaction on ultrasound examination of RTs. Second, the self-efficacy of ultrasound examination RTs showed a high correlation with job competency. Third, the job satisfaction levels showed in the order of job competency, job satisfaction, self-efficacy, and extrinsic compensation. In conclusion, this study are expected to be provided as data to identify factors that could improve job satisfaction during ultrasound examination of RTs by empirically analyzing the structural relationship of self-efficacy, job competency, and external compensation.

중환자실과 응급실 간호사의 소진과 공감역량이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향 (Burnout and compassion competency to explain job satisfaction among nurses working in intensive care units or emergency rooms)

  • Purpose : This study aimed to examine the relationships of burnout and compassion competency with job satisfaction among nurses working in the intensive care units and emergency rooms. Methods : A correlational survey was conducted from August 1 to August 14, 2018 and involved in 102 nurses working at four university hospitals for more than 1 year. A structured questionnaire was used to measure burnout, compassion competency, and job satisfaction, and data were analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression and mediation effect analysis. Results : The mean scores of burnout, compassion competency, and job satisfaction were 2.58, 4.35, and 2.95, respectively. Burnout and compassion competency along with working night shifts and a wish to transfer explained 35.3% of variance in job satisfaction. Compassion competency showed a small but significant mediating effect in the relationship between burnout and job satisfaction (indirect effect -.0446, 95% CI -.1133, -.0075). Conclusion : Burnout and compassion competency were the significant influencing factors of job satisfaction among nurses working in intensive care units and emergency rooms. Since compassion competency showed a significant mediating effect, further studies should focus on intervention strategies for compassion competency to improve job satisfaction in this population.

The Causality Analysis of the Impact of a Hotel Chief's Competency on Job Satisfaction and Customer Orientation : Focusing on Control Impact of Organization Concentration

  • Purpose - The purpose is to identify a structural effect relationship among a hotel chef's personal competency, job satisfaction and customer orientation. Moreover, this research tries to provide implications regarding effective human resource management strategies based on competency to strengthen job satisfaction and customer orientation by testifying the effect relationship of job satisfaction with the relationship between personal competency and guest orientation. Research design, data, methodology By targeting chefs working in five starred hotels in Seoul, the surveys have been distributed from April 1st of 2017 to April 20th of 2017 (approximately 20 days). Out of 300 distributed surveys, 250 were collected, and 246 were used, excepting 4, unhonestly answered. Results - It has been analyzed that a hotel chef's personal competency, self-control ability, customer orientation competency, interpersonal relation competency, gumption, and professional competency has a significant effect on job satisfaction, however, it has been identified that gumption has no impact on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has a significant impact on customer orientation. Lastly, there is a control effect on job satisfaction and customer orientation by organizational commitment Conclusions - It is able to propose the solutions to improve customer orientation, job satisfaction and organizational commitment of a hotel chef and the ways for human resource management.

직무능력평가사의 직무분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Job Analysis of Job Competency Assessor)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 NCS에 기반한 직무수행능력 성취도(교육훈련, 자격, 현장경험 등)를 역량평가를 통해 평가하는 직무능력평가사의 역할을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 직무능력평가사의 직무모형을 개발 및 검증하고, 핵심작업을 도출하는 직무분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 직무능력평가사의 책무는 NCS 기반 평가원리 확인, 평가계획 수립, 평가도구 설계 및 개발, 평가 실행, 피드백 제공 및 재평가, 평가 기록 및 관리, 내부평가 타당성 검토, 선행학습인정 계획수립, 선행학습인정 평가 실행, 선행학습인정 타당성 검토로 나타났고, 48개의 작업이 도출되었다. 또한, 책무별로 작업의 중요도와 난이도를 곱한 임계도 값을 바탕으로 총 21개의 핵심작업을 도출하였다. 이를 바탕으로 직무능력평가사 직무분석에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.

University Student Characteristics of Type of Job Values and Key Competency

  • This study is aimed to determine types of job values which is searched by 242 university student in Gwangju, to study characteristics of each type, and to analyze key competency of each type. The data were analyed with PASW 18.0 using frequency analysis, k-mean cluster analysis, crosstabs and one-way ANOVA. According to findings, first of all, university student types of job values are divided into 4 groups; a type of intrinsic job values(27.7%), a type of active job value(32.2%), a type of external job value(12.4%), a type of passive job value(27.7%). Secondly, the type of job values showed statistically significant difference only in the monthly allowance of socio-economic variables. Thirdly, the type of job values showed statistically significant difference 'communication', 'mathematics', 'problem solving', 'self development', 'resource management', 'interpersonal skills', 'technical ability', 'understanding organizations' and 'work ethics'.

정신간호사의 전문직 자율성과 의사소통능력이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향 (Influences of Professional Autonomy, Communication Competency on Job Satisfaction of Psychiatric Nurses)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the influences of professional autonomy and communication competency on the job satisfaction of psychiatric nurses. Methods: Participants were 141 psychiatric nurses working in psychiatric departments in 5 provincial hospitals. The questionnaire was composed of a total of 88 questions: general characteristics of participants (12 items), professional autonomy (30 questions), communication competency (15 questions), job satisfaction (30 questions). Data were collected and analyzed using t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and Multiple regression analysis with SPSS/WIN 24.0. Results: Job Satisfaction had significant positive correlations with both professional autonomy (r=.18, p<.001) and communication competency (r=.32, p<.001). These variables explained 24.3% of the variance in psychiatric nurses' job satisfaction. Conclusion: Thease findings indicate that professional autonomy and communication competency are important variables influencing job satisfaction for psychiatric nurses. Development and provision of intervention programs to increase professional autonomy and communication competency will help to increase psychiatric nurses' job satisfaction.

A Study on the Standard AI Developer Job Training Track Based on Industry Demand

  • 본 논문에서는 산업체 수요에 기반한 표준 AI 개발자 직무 교육과정을 제안한다. 이 교육과정의 특징은 산업체와 대학간의 AI 개발자 직무 역량의 미스 매치를 최소화 할 수 있다는 것이다. AI 개발자 직무 교육과정 개발을 위해 산업체 현장에 재직중인 AI 개발자를 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시한다. 이 설문조사에서는 NCS 기반의 5개 AI 개발자 직무 중 산업체 현장의 인력 수요가 많은 AI 개발자 직무를 도출하여 직무분석을 실시한다. 직무분석에서는 해당 직무의 핵심 능력단위요소를 선정하고, 그 핵심 능력단위요소를 수행하기 위해 필요한 지식, 기술, 도구 등을 도출한다. 그리고 지식, 기술, 도구 등을 교육할 수 있는 핵심 교과목과 이수 체계를 도출하여 표준 AI 개발자 직무 교육과정을 개발한다. 그리고 본 논문에서 제안한 표준 AI 개발자 직무 교육과정을 활용한 효율적인 AI 개발자 직무 교육 방안을 제시한다.

임상간호사의 그릿, 사회적 지지, 잡 크래프팅, 근거기반 실무역량이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Clinical Nurses' Grit, Social Support, Job Crafting, and Evidence-Based Practice Competency on Job Satisfaction)

  • Purpose: This descriptive survey study aimed to examine the effects of grit, social support, job crafting, and evidence-based practice competency on job satisfaction among nurses. Methods: The participants of this study were 211 clinical nurses with experience of more than six months. Data were collected using through an online survey from February 1 to February 17, 2023. The questionnaires was consisted of general characteristics, grit, social support, job crafting, evidence-based practice competency, and job satisfaction. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics(frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation), t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis with the SPSS/WIN 28.0 program. Results: The average scores of the main variables were 3.08±0.44 out of four for grits, 3.67±0.52 out of five for social support, 4.20±0.64 out of five for job crafting, 4.84±0.71 out of seven for evidence-based practice competency, and 3.72±0.55 out of five for job satisfaction. In the regression model, the factors affecting the nurses' job satisfaction were grit (β=0.66, p<.001) and social support (β=0.11, p=.046), which explained 78.7% of the variance in job satisfaction. Job crafting and evidence-based practice competency were correlated with job satisfaction; however, there was no statistically significant effects of these variables on job satisfaction. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, grit and social support showed the most significant effects on the job satisfaction of nurses. Therefore, active support is needed to develop a strategy to improve nurses' grit and to create a supportive work environment, which would be helpful to increase their job satisfaction.
