Electrochemical characteristics of a graphite/lithium and a $LiCoO_2/lithium$ half cell and a $graphite/LiCoO_2$ full cell were analyzed using a GCSOC (gradual control test of the state of charge) technique. The IIE (initial intercalation coulombic efficiency), which represents lithium intercalation property of the electrode material, and the $lIC_s$ (initial irreversible capacity by the surface), which represents irreversible reaction between the electrode surface and the electrolyte were obtained from the GCSOC analysis. Linear-fittable capacity ranges of IIE of graphite and $LiCoO_2$ electrodes were 370 and 150 mAh/g, respectively, based on material weight. The value of lIE for graphite and $LiCoO_2$ electrodes were $93-94\%$ and $94-95\%$, respectively. The value of IICs for graphite and $LiCoO_2$ electrodes were 15-17 mAh/g and 0.3-1.7 mAh/g, respectively. The value of IIE for $graphite/LiCoO_2$ full cell, used GX25 and DJG311 as a graphite, was $89-90\%$ that lower than that for the half cells. Parameters of IIE and IICs can also be used to represent not only half cell but also full cell.

This study investigated relationships between primary caregivers' life satisfaction and abuse mediated by children's life satisfaction. We included term panel data for 3 years (2013-2015) from the 4th year to the 6th year of 2,067 children in the first grade of elementary school of the Korean Youth and Youth Panel(KCYPS)(2015); in addition, three years' longitudinal panel data (2013-2015) were analyzed utilizing SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 22.0 to measure Latent Growth Model(LGM) term relationships between variables. Analysis results were as follows. First, the life satisfaction of the primary caregiver, the life satisfaction of the child, and abuse gradually decreased from the fourth grade to the sixth grade. Second, the initial status of primary caregivers' life satisfaction influenced the initial status of the children's life satisfaction, and the initial status and change in the abuse rate. Third, the rate of change of life satisfaction of the primary caregiver did not have a significant effect on the change in the abuse rate and the rate of change of life satisfaction of the child. The initial value of the life satisfaction of the child played a partial mediating role in the relationship between the initial value of the life satisfaction of the primary caregiver, initial value of the abuse, and abuse change rate. The results suggest that a program to improve the life satisfaction of the 4th grade elementary school should be developed and applied.

The effect of initial cell concentration on the characteristics of ethanol fermentation was investigated in the batch fermentation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae ATCC 24858. The characteristics were investigated in the range of 60 to 230 g/l of the initial sugar concentrations and 0.5 to 85 g/l of the initial cell concentrations. When the initial cell concentrations were 27 g/l for 60 g/l of the initial sugar and 85 g/l for 230 g/l, the fermentation time required for the complete consumption of the initial sugar was one hour, respectively. The ethanol productivity increased with the initial cell concentration so that, in the case of 100 g/l of initial sugar, the productivity rose up to 55 g/l/hr at 55 g/l of the initial cell concentration. The specific growth rate decreased according to the increase in the initial biomass concentration and finally became zero at around 25 g/l of the cell concentration regardless of the initial sugar concentration. The specific ethanol production rate was constant as 1.02 g/l/hr up to 150 g/l of the initial sugar. However, the rates decreased sharply with the augmentation of concentration of the initial sugar above 160 g/l. The overall ethanol yield represented a constant value, 0.475 g/g irrespective of the initial cell and sugar concentrations. The overall biomass yietd showed a trend to diminish in values with the biomass and ultimately to reach zero more than 25 g/l of the initial cell concentration.

We consider the time local well-posedness of the Benjamin equation. Like the result due to Keing-Ponce-Vega [10], [12], we show that the initial value problem is time locally well posed in the Sobolev space H$^{s}$ (R) for s>-3/4.

We investigate the nonlinear motions of discrete loaded cable with different periodic forcing. We present the numerical evidence of the nonlinear motions of the cable by solving initial value problems and obtaining the motions after a long time. There appeared to be various types of nonlinear oscillations over a wide range of frequencies and amplitudes for the periodic forcing term.

This paper is concerned with the problem of existence of solutions to the initial value problem u'(t) = A(t, u(t)), u(a) = z in a probabilistic normed space where $A : [a,b)\;{\times}\;D->E$ is continuous, D is a closed subset of a probabilistic normed space E, and $z\;{\in}\;D$. With a dissipative type condition on A, we estabilish sufficient conditions for this initial value problem to have a solution.

In this paper, we first discuss a representation of solutions to the initial value problem and the initial-boundary value problem for discrete evolution equations $${\sum\limits^l_{n=0}}c_n{\partial}^n_tu(x,t)-{\rho}(x){\Delta}_{\omega}u(x,t)=H(x,t)$$, defined on networks, i.e. on weighted graphs. Secondly, we show that the weight of each link of networks can be uniquely identified by using their Dirichlet data and Neumann data on the boundary, under a monotonicity condition on their weights.

We consider the initial value problem of the Schrodinger equation for an interesting Cauchy-Euler type operator ${\mathfrak{R}}$ on ${\mathbb{C}}^n$ that is an analogue of the harmonic oscillator in ${\mathbb{R}}^n$. We get an appropriate $L^1-L^{\infty}$ dispersive estimate for the solution of the initial value problem.

In this paper, we considered the Dirichlet initial boundary value problem of a nonlinear viscoelastic wave equation with nonlinear damping and source terms, and investigated finite time blow-up phenomena of the solutions to the equation with arbitrary positive initial data, under suitable conditions.
