The Impact of Tiktok Live Broadcast Business on Consumers' Purchase Intention (틱톡 라이브 커머스 특성이 소비자 구매에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study was to analyze the interrelationship between the characteristics of TikTok live commerce: host expertise, host reliability, sales marketing strategy, product price, logistics speed, refund convenience), purchase intention, and continuous purchase intention. Design/methodology/approach - This study collected 470 questionnaires collected from the survey for consumers using TikTok live commerce in China and conducted an empirical analysis using SPSS 24.0 statistical packages for 423 valid questionnaires (90%) excluding unfaithful responses. Findings - First, it was confirmed that the characteristics of TikTok Live (host expertise, host reliability, sales marketing strategy, product price, logistics speed, and refund convenience) had a positive effect on consumers' purchase intention. Second, it was confirmed that the higher the consumer's purchase intention, the higher the continuous purchase intention. Third, it was also confirmed that the characteristics of TikTok Live (host expertise, host reliability, sales marketing strategy, product price, logistics speed, and refund convenience) had a positive effect on consumers' continuous purchase intention. Research implications or Originality - Through the research results of this paper, product prices have the greatest influence on consumers' purchase intentions, followed by sales marketing strategies and host expertise. Therefore, this study aims to present implications for product prices, sales marketing strategies, and host expertise in TikTok live commerce based on empirical analysis and analysis of previous studies.

A Study on the Calculation of $CO_2$ Emission and Road Freight Environmental Index for Logistics Companies (물류기업의 온실가스 배출량 및 도로화물환경지표 산정에 관한 연구)

  • In order to reduce Green House Gas(GHG) reduction in the road freight sector and thus establish green logistics, running efficiency of goods vehicles is of paramount importance. Providing effective transportation infrastructure can contribute to achieve the green logistics by reducing empty running of heavy goods vehicles and van, increasing the average payload on the vehicle, and shifting the transportation mode. In order to reduce the environmental impact from the road freight sector, it is essential to quantify the amount of environmental loading from the sector. However, any systematic survey on the environmental loading from the logistics companies has not been carried out in Korea. In this study, the environmental index for the road freight sector is defined as the amount of $CO_2$ emission per ton km generated from goods vehicles. The computational analysis shows that the average $CO_2$ emission per ton km generated by the logistics companies in Korea is $363g-CO_2/ton{\cdot}km$. Compared to UK (=$130g-CO_2/ton{\cdot}km$) and France (=$97g-CO_2/ton{\cdot}km$), the efficiency of logistics in Korea is 2.8 and 3.7 times as low as in the advanced countries. It also indicates that the main reasons for the low efficiency are mainly due to the high rate of empty operation of goods vehicles and the low payload.

  • Ontology is an explicit specification of concepts and relationships between concepts in an interest domain. As considered as one of typical knowledge representation methods, ontology is applied to various studies such as information extraction, information integration, information sharing, or knowledge management. In IT based industries, ontology is applied to research on information integration and sharing in order to enhance interoperability between enterprises. In supply chains or logistics, several enterprises participate as business partners to plan movements of goods, and control goods and logistics flows. A number of researches on information integration and sharing for the effective and efficient management of logistics or supply chains have been addressed. In this paper, we address an ontology as a knowledge-base for semantic-based integration of logistics information distributed in the logistics flow. Especially, we focus on developing an ontology that enables to represent and translate semantic meaning of EPC data in the EPC Network applied logistics. We present a scenario for tracing products in logistics in order to show the value of our ontology.

  • Green logistics is regarded as an inevitable global trend in the 21st century. It can be accomplished through more broad and active reverse logistics globally, resulting in use of less fossil fuels, finally reducing carbon dioxide and other pollutants. Many countries such as U.S., Japan, EU nations have already set up policies related to carbon reduction, so-called 'green policies.' This paper aims to identify evaluation criteria for logistics policies and relative importance among those criteria, especially in the field of ports and in-land hub terminals. We examined projects related to carbon reduction from domestic and foreign ports and logistics centers and found evaluation factors and assessment indicators. With pre-evaluative items and pre-assessment indicators, we have done a survey and selected evaluation factors and assessment indicators for ports and inland hub terminals in Korea. By analyzing the mutual importance of each pre-evaluative items and pre-assessment indicators related to carbon reduction policies, this research provides guidelines on selecting the key items for the propulsion of carbon reduction projects. This study shows the importance of preliminary evaluation items and indexes with AHP in evaluating carbon reduction policies and the result shows the restrictions and change in transportation and use of alternative fuels. Lastly, it provides a guideline to policy-makers and firm managers in the field of green logistics.

  • It is an element certainly required for the cost reduction of a company that forward and reverse logistics chain are unified and constitutes a resource closed-loop supply chain (CLSC). In this study, the inventory control which unifies inventory of distribution centers (DCs) of forward logistics and processing center of reverse logistics in the CLSC environment is proposed. The inventory system model for newly-constructed CLSC considers the JIT(Just-In-Time) delivery from the processing center to the manufacturer, including the making of decisions on whether to wait for the arrival of end-of-life products or to back-order necessary products for manufacturer when the supply of end-of-life products at the processing center via the returning center is insufficient for the demands of the manufacturers. The validity of the proposed model was verified using the genetic algorithm (GA). In order that a parameter might investigate the effect which it has on a solution, the simulation was carried out for priGA(priority-based GA) on three kinds of parameter conditions.   • This study presents an innovative framework for comprehensively evaluating the competitiveness of maritime logistics hub cities through the development of the Global Maritime Logistics Hub Index(GMLHI) model. This model departs from traditional cargo volume-centric assessments, establishing a balanced evaluation system that encompasses various dimensions including shipping, ports, logistics, urban competitiveness, and sustainability. The Delphi survey method applied in developing the GMLHI model significantly enhanced its validity and practicality by systematically incorporating expert opinions from diverse fields. This approach enabled an objective assessment of the index composition's appropriateness and the importance of each indicator, while fostering consensus among experts to improve the model's reliability. Furthermore, the use of data from reputable international organizations such as the OECD, UNCTAD, and the World Bank strengthened the objectivity and reliability of the evaluation. This contributed to ensuring consistency in comparisons between cities and countries, while laying the groundwork for future time-series analyses. The results of this study can serve as valuable foundational data for objectively diagnosing the current competitiveness of global maritime logistics hub cities and formulating future development strategies. In particular, by enabling a multifaceted understanding of each city's strengths and weaknesses, it supports policymakers in making decisions based on more accurate situational analyses. Moreover, this research is expected to provide important evidence for developing concrete and effective policies to enhance the global competitiveness of major domestic maritime logistics hub cities. By offering useful insights in various aspects such as setting investment priorities, establishing a foundation for international cooperation, and promoting sustainable development, it can ultimately contribute to national economic development.

Green Productivity Analysis of the Logistics Industry for the Global Competitiveness (물류산업의 녹색생산성 평가와 국제경쟁력 강화방안)

  • Recently, the successful appointment of the general directorate of GCF (Green Climate Fund) in Songdo of Korea made a great history for the golden triangle with GGGI (global Green Growth Institute) and GTC (Green Technology Center). Now, Korea became the Mecca for the global green growth and it gave a great opportunity foe the Korea to lead the global economy in the future. However, to successfully manage the GCF, the Korean government should show their willingness as well as the readiness for the green prowth and green productivity. It is really hard for the Korea, since it takes the second rank for the growth rate of carbon dioxide emission in the world. To overcome this shameful status, it should make the best effort to promote the green productivity, especially in a field of logistics industry, because it takes 21% of global CO2 emission, the second largest portion. The research aims to systematically introduce the Global Malmquist-Luenberger Index (GML) and to evaluate the logistics industry of Korea based on the GML approach. It concludes the innovative technology is utmost important to improve the green productivity of the logistics industry and thus the Korean government should make more aggressive role to fill this missing link in the innovation network.

  • ESS-based buildings are being widely studied as an effective methods for saving energy with ZEB, BEMS, and FEMS. However, in large scale buildings, there are many energy-consuming facilities, so it is necessary to identify important energy-consuming facilities to build a real-time measurement system. In addition, there are a myriad of factors that affect the dependent variable of energy use, therefore there is a limitation that effective energy management is difficult. Therefore, this study applied the measurement boundary setting methodology according to the energy supply status through due diligence for the demonstration ESS distribution logistics facility, and suggested the methodolgy for presenting priority for the construction of the measurement system. Afterwards, the impact variables that Acting as an independent variable affecting the energy consumption of the distribution and logistics facilities were categorized into intrinsic and meteorological variables. Lastly, all factors that could affect the energy consumption of the actual distribution and logistics facilities, were classified and presented as guidelines list. By applying the results of this study, it is possible to build a monitoring system at a low cost and high efficiency in a distribution and logistics facility with a complex structure. And by identifying the main independent variables for the measured energy consumption, effectively identifying trends in energy consumption and deriving saving points It is expected to be able to operate the ESS-based infrastructure.

  • Joining the WTO in 2001, China became a number of the global economic system. China succeeded in vying to host Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and World Expo 2010 Shanghai. It is China's honor and opportunity to have high economic growth in the coming future. In 2007, the total cost of public logistics decreased by 18.2% than 2006 to 4540.6 billion RMB, accounting for 18.4% of the GDP. So, China logistics is a huge industry and a growing market full of charm. The statistic ratios of China's logistics and growth trends show us it is an important issue to build and run an effective logistics system. However, research on China's logistics systems and supply chain is lacked. This study is focus on the logistic location strategy in China including the study of factories and warehouses geographic strategy concerned with SCM. The core of this study is to propose a New Multi-Facilities Location Decision Model. This study banded the revised gravity center, the standard single facility location decision model(Gravity Center Model) and the transportation model into a new Multi-Facilities Location Decision Model. In addition, this study suggested the gravity center of population, the gravity center of each industry, the location decision graded-list of each industry of china using the gravity center model and the revised gravity center model. The new Multi-Facilities Location Decision Model proposed in this study can be used to solve the location decision problem of more than two facilities. And it can be used in the fields such as the location decision of production facility and service facility, the location of distribution and logistics, the location of broadcast and satellite communications, the location of wireless communication tower and so on.

  • This study was conducted on the assumption that for Incheon international airport to become the logistics hub of northeast asia's region, it is necessary to investigate and analyze problems of forwarder's international air cargo transportation process, those factors and so on. The conditions of the process of international air cargo transportation was analysed individually according to the time required, satisfaction and problems of each step of process by dividing those into import and export. Consequently it turned out that the time required for the export process of the international air cargo transportation is longer by about 1 hour than the import process which means the improvement of import section rather than export is more urgent to improve the overall international air cargo transportation process. For the improvement of the process, it is also necessary to construct the international air cargo transportation' information system, secure competition of operating and to improve logistics standardization by considering all factors above.
