  • It is known that the dierence in the length between two location parameters of two random variables is equivalent to the difference in the area between two cumulative distribution functions. In this paper, we suggest two applications by using the difference of distribution functions. The first is that the difference of expectations of a certain function of two continuous random variables such as the differences of two kth moments and two moment generating functions could be defined by using the difference between two univariate distribution functions. The other is that the difference in the volume between two empirical bivariate distribution functions is derived. If their covariance is estimated to be zero, the difference in the volume between two empirical bivariate distribution functions could be defined as the difference in two certain areas.

  • Motivated mainly by certain interesting extensions of the ${\tau}$-hypergeometric function defined by Virchenko et al. [11] and some ${\tau}$-Appell's function introduced by Al-Shammery and Kalla [1], we introduce here the ${\tau}$-Lauricella functions $F_A^{(n),{\tau}_1,{\cdots},{\tau}_n}$, $F_B^{(n),{\tau}_1,{\cdots},{\tau}_n}$ and $F_D^{(n),{\tau}_1,{\cdots},{\tau}_n}$ and the confluent forms ${\Phi}_2^{(n),{\tau}_1,{\cdots},{\tau}_n}$ and ${\Phi}_D^{(n),{\tau}_1,{\cdots},{\tau}_n}$ of n variables. We then systematically investigate their various integral representations of each of these ${\tau}$-Lauricella functions including their generating functions. Various (known or new) special cases and consequences of the results presented here are also considered.

  • We give a generating function for the number of graphs with given numerical properties and prescribed weighted number of connected components. As an application, we give a generating function for the number of q-partite graphs of given order, size and number of connected components.

  • In this paper we analyze the code sequence generating algorism defined on $GF(2^n)$ proposed by S.Bostas and V.Kumar[7] and derive the implementation functions of code sequence generator using Boolean functions which can map the vector space $F_2^n$ of all binary vectors of length n, to the finite field with two elements $F_2$. We find the code sequence generating boolean functions based on two kinds of the primitive polynomials of degree, n=5 and n=7 from trace function. We then design and implement the code sequence generators using these functions, and produce two code sequence groups. The two groups have the period 31 and 127 and the magnitudes of out of phase(${\tau}{\neq}0$) autocorrelation and crosscorrelation functions {-9, -1, 7} and {-17, -1, 15}, satisfying the period $L=2^n-1$ and the correlation functions $R_{ij}({\tau})=\{-2^{(n+1)/2}-1,-1,2^{(n+l)/2}-1\}$ respectively. Through these results, we confirm that the code sequence generators using boolean functions are designed and implemented correctly.

  • Put ($$^*$$) $$G[x,y]={\sum}\limits^{p+q=n}_{p,q=0}[-n]_{p+q}c_{p,q}x^py^q$$, where $[{\lambda}]_m$ is the Pocbhammer symbol and the $c_{p,q}$ are arbitrary constants. Making use of the specialized forms of some of his earlier results (see [8] and [9] the author derives here bilateral generating functions of the type ($$^{**}$$) $${\sum}\limits^{\infty}_{n=0}{\frac{[\lambda]_n}{n!}}_2F_1[\array{{\rho}-n,\;{\alpha};\\{\lambda}+{\rho};}x]\;G[y,z]t^n$$ where ${\alpha}$, ${\rho}$ and ${\lambda}$ are arbitrary complex numbers. In particular, it is shown that when G[y, z] is a double hypergeometric polynomial, the right-band member of ($^{**}$) belongs to a class of general triple hypergeometric functions introduced by the author [7]. An interesting special case of ($^{**}$) when ${\rho}=-m,\;m$ being a nonnegative integer, yields a class of bilateral generating functions for the Jacobi polynomials $\{P_n{^{{\alpha},{\beta}}}(x)\}$ in the form ($$^{***}$$) $${\sum\limits^{\infty}_{n=0}}\(\array{m+n\\n}\)P{^{({\alpha}-n,{\beta}-n)}_{m+n}(x)\;G[y,z]{\frac{t^n}{n!}}$$, which provides a unification of several known results. Further extensions of ($^{**}$) and ($^{***}$) with G[y, z] replaced by an analogous multiple sum $H\[y_1,{\cdots},y_m\]$ are also discussed.

  • We prove that there exists a canonical level-preserving isomorphism between the stable Morse homology (or the Morse homology of generating functions) and the Floer homology on the cotangent bundle $T^*M$ for any closed submanifold $N \subset M$ for any compact manifold M.

  • This paper is designed to introduce a Hermite-based-poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials with q-parameter. By making use of their generating functions, we derive several summation formulae, identities and some properties that is connected with the Stirling numbers of the second kind. Furthermore, we derive symmetric identities for Hermite-based-poly-Bernoulli polynomials with q-parameter by using generating functions.

  • The main aim of this paper is to introduce and study the generalized Laguerre polynomials and prove that these polynomials are characterized by the generalized hypergeometric function. Also we investigate some properties and formulas for these polynomials such as explicit representations, generating functions, recurrence relations, differential equation, Rodrigues formula, and orthogonality.

  • The main object of the present paper is to introduce the generalized Laguerre matrix polynomials for two variables. We prove that these matrix polynomials are characterized by the generalized hypergeometric matrix function. An explicit representation, generating functions and some recurrence relations are obtained here. Moreover, these matrix polynomials appear as solution of a differential equation.
