중국 기업 근로자들의 고용불안정이 조직몰입과 이직의도에 미치는 영향: 갈등의 매개효과 (The Impact of Employment Insecurity on Organizational Commitment and Turnover Intention in Chinese Enterprises Workers: The Focusing on Mediation Effect of Organization Conflict)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of employment insecurity on organizational commitment and turnover intention, and mediating roles of conflict in Chinese enterprise workers. We examined the theoretical background and conducted an empirical study. The statistical analysis results revealed the following. First, employment insecurity has significant negative effects on organizational commitment and positive effects on turnover intention. Second, employment insecurity has significant positive effects on task and relationship conflicts. Third, task and relationship conflicts have positive significant effects on turnover intention. Fourth, intragroup conflicts (task and relationship conflicts) have partial mediating effects between employment insecurity and organizational commitment, and turnover intention, but task conflicts have no mediating effects between employment insecurity and organizational commitment. On the basis of the research findings, this paper discusses the theoretical and empirical implications of the research, and provides directions for future research.

제조업종의 지역별 산업성장 및 고용효과 분석 (Analysis of Industry Growth and Employment Effect in the Korean Manufacturing Sector by Regions)

  • We evaluated industry growth and employment effects of every possible pairs of 22 manufacturing sectors and 16 regions (i.e, 352 region-sectors). We used annual data of manufacturing sectors from 2008 to 2014 for the evaluation. The evaluation comprises of two steps; We first find several region-sectors that outperform others with respect to the effects of industry growth and employment, which are measured by location quotient analysis, shift share method, employment to GDP ratio and employment elasticity. In addition, cross-efficiency analysis follows to classify region-sector pairs into two sub-categories : efficient region-sectors that deserve to hold the current level of investments and inefficient region-sectors where we should consider efficiency improvements. To examine the efficiency, R&D investment, employment size, and capital investment were used as input factors and production volume, added value, changes in employment size, changes in annual salary per capita were used as output factors. For region-sector pairs that have outstanding growth and employment effects but are inefficient, we employed a CCR DEA model and analyzed how much to adjust the values of input and output factors to improve the efficiency scores. The analysis results showed that inefficiency is mainly due to several factors such as R&D investment, changes in employment size and changes in annual salary per capita.

작업장혁신의 고용효과 (Employment Effects of Workplace Innovation)

  • 본 연구는 작업장혁신 프로그램들의 고용효과에 관한 실증분석이다. 본 연구의 이론 모형과 가설은 혁신 일반의 고용효과에 관한 기존의 연구결과들을 발전시켜서 개발하였다. 사용 자료는 노사발전재단의 "일터혁신지수" 2013-14년 자료이다. 사용 자료는 횡단면 자료이고 통계모형은 OLS 모형이다. 본 회귀모형의 종속변수는 고용증가율이고 주된 독립변수는 작업장혁신 지수이다. 작업장혁신 지수는 TQM/6시그마, 제안제도, 다기능훈련 등을 합성하여 작성하였는데, 그 관행들의 도입 여부와 활용 정도(표준화값) 등 2 가지로 된 측정치들로 구성하였다. 분석 결과 작업장혁신 프로그램들의 도입 여부는 고용증가율에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하고, 작업장혁신 프로그램들의 활용 정도는 고용증가율에 약하게 통계적으로 유의한 양(+)의 영향을 미치고 있었다. 이상의 분석 결과들은 작업장혁신의 도입이 고용에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하고 있음을 말해주고 있는데, 그것의 활용도를 높일 경우에는 약한 수준에서나 고용에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 가능성이 있음을 시사하고 있다. 그 밖에 정부 지원의 조직혁신 컨설팅을 받은 사업체(+), 임금수준(-), 1인당 훈련시간(+), 전년도 근로자수(-) 등이 고용증가율에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치고 있다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 실증결과들을 요약하고, 연구의 한계와 향후 연구의 방향을 논의하였다.

노동조합과 고용조정 - 순고용변화에 대한 제품수요 충격의 효과를 중싱으로 - (Unions and Employment Adjustment in Korean Firms - Focusing on the Effects of Product Demand Shocks on Net Changes in Employment -)

  • 본 논문은 기업패널 자료(1997~2004)를 사용하여 노동조합 유무에 따른 기업유형별로 고용량 변동에 대한 제품수요충격의 효과가 어떻게 다른지를 분석하였다. 분석 결과에 따르면, 근로자특성별로 정도의 차이는 있지만 대체로 제품수요 감퇴 및 확대의 상황에서 유노조기업의 경우 무노조기업에 비해 고용탄력성이 작용 것으로 나타나 '제품수요 위축 시기에는 상대적으로 소폭의 고용감축으로, 제품수요 확장 시기에는 상대적으로 소폭의 고용확대로 대응하는,' 즉 제품수요 충격에 따른 고용변동성이 낮은 고용조정 패턴을 보여준다. 이러한 결과는 노동조합이 고용감축 시기에는 구성원의 고용안정성을 보장하는 데 유의미한 역할을 하는 반면, 고용확대 시기에는 고용수준 결정에서 그 역할이 매우 제한적임을 시사한다.

The Impact of Input and Output Tariffs on Domestic Employment across Industries: Evidence from Korea

  • Purpose - This paper examines how differently output and input tariffs affect domestic employment across industrial characteristics of comparative advantage such as labor quality and capital intensity. Design/methodology - The paper focuses on 453 Korean industries from 2007 to 2014 because Korea is a typical example of a natural resource-scarce open economy and experienced the transition of the export pattern from labor intensity to technology intensity during this period. Findings - The results show that input tariff reduction stimulated total employment, focusing on the early 2010s, while the effects of output tariff reduction were statistically insignificant in general. However, the stimulation effects of output tariff reduction on employment were found in comparative advantage industries with greater labor quality and capital intensity. As for input tariff reduction, its stimulation effects on employment were more prominent in comparative disadvantage industries with lower labor quality and capital intensity. Originality/value - These results provide significant implications for natural resource-scarce open economies which are experiencing the transition of the export pattern from labor intensity to technology intensity and the unequal distribution of income after trade liberalization: imported intermediate inputs has become increasing important, leading to trade effects on employment and alleviation of income inequality.

대학생의 어머니 취업력, 성취동기와 직업 양성평등의식이 어머니 취업에 대한 부정적 신념에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Maternal Employment History, Achievement Motivation, and Gender Egalitarianism in Job on University Students' Negative Beliefs about the Consequences of Maternal Employment)

  • The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects maternal employment history, achievement motivation and gender egalitarianism in job on university students' negative beliefs about the consequences of maternal employment. A total of 338 university students in Seoul, Kyungki, and Kyungnam area, provided information for the study. Analyses results showed that male students had higher level of negative beliefs about the consequences of maternal employment and achievement motivation and lower level of gender egalitarianism in job than female students did. Mothers' history of employment during the student's middle and high school period and higher job egalitarianism predicted lower negative beliefs about maternal employment. As male and female students were compared, male students with history of mothers' employment, lower level of achievement motivation and higher level of gender egalitarianism showed low level of negative beliefs about maternal employment. For female students, mothers' employment significantly predicted their beliefs about negative consequences of maternal employment.

고용유연성이 기업성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 컴퓨터 프로그래밍, 시스템 통합 및 관리업을 중심으로 (A study on the effect of employment flexibility on the business performance in the computer programming, system consultancy and related service industry)

  • This study investigates what effects employment flexibility have on the business performance in the computer programming, system consultancy and related services. An analysis of the effects of employment flexibility on outcomes of human resource management revealed that companies which had a higher proportion of temporary agency workers and adjusted employment more frequently had higher turnover rates. The study also showed that the higher the proportion of non-regular workers, outsourcing and the easier it was to adjust working hours, the higher the absence rate. Meanwhile, companies that made employment adjustments more often showed higher defect rates and lower customer satisfaction. It was also found that in companies with a higher proportion of outsourcing and higher possibility of employment adjustments, workers were less interested in new technologies.

취업 주부의 취업선호 인식이 개인, 가족 직업생활에 미치는 영향 (The effects of the preferences to housewives' employment perceived by working wives on personal, family, & work life)

  • The purpose of this study were to understand the types of preferences to housewives' employment of husbands and wives, and to explore the differences in the personal, the family, and the job-related variables regarding such types of preferences. For this study, the employed housewives with children aged under 10 year were surveyed. The results of this study were as follow; 1) Types of perferences to housewives' employment of husbands were smaller compared to wives'. This may mean that husbands' traditional values related to child rearing and education, and housework influenced on their preferences to wives' employment. 2) There were significant differences in the types of preferences to housewives' employment regarding the types of wives' occupation. Wives working in the white color jobs were prefered themselves' employment more than wives working in the blue color jobs. 3) The group that both wives and husbands prefere housewives' employment was more positively perceived the effects of women's employment on both wives themselves and their children. Also such couples were satisfied more than and felt family-job strain less than other groups.

고용보호규제 완화의 노동시장 성과에 대한 효과

  • Enhancing labor market flexibility is currently posted as one of the major economic policy objectives in Korea. However, the labor market effects of specific policies to achieve it have not been sufficiently investigated. This paper takes up the issue of employment protection deregulation and surveys and empirically analyzes its policy effects. Academic researches generally confirm that deregulation tends to promote labor turnover and employment of the disadvantaged groups such as the youth and female by raising the overall efficiency of the economy, but its effects on unemployment is not clear. In the Korean labor market, both job creation and destruction, and labor mobility have increased after the economic crisis of 1998, but they can not be seen as deregulation effects as the changes are confined to the temporary and daily employment whose labor markets are least regulated whereas the regular employment market remains virtally unchanged. Such results suggest that labor market deregulation need to be pursued consistently as a policy goal since the labor demand condition shift and the need for expanding regular employment necessitates it, for which detailed policy agenda for removing market inefficiencies should be carefully arranged.

정년 연장의 고용효과 (Employment Effects of Delayed Mandatory Retirement)

  • 본 연구는 2013년에 입법된 정년 연장이 2016~19년 기간 동안 55~59세 남성의 고용에 미친 효과를 추정하였다. 정년 연장의 고용효과는, 한요셉(2019)에서 추정된 정년 도입 초기의 효과에 비해서는 감소하였지만, 아직 유의한 수준인 것으로 추정되었다. 이와 같은 고용증가는 정년 연장의 취지에는 부합되지만, 청년층 일자리를 잠식하였을 우려도 존재한다. 이에 따라 고연령층 고용증가와 청년층 일자리 잠식 최소화라는 두 목표를 동시에 달성하기 위해서는, 시장에서 노동수요가 충분히 확대될 수 있도록 임금이 유연하게 하향 조정될 수 있어야 할 것이다.
