Results: These workers on presenteeism were affected by the department of work, annual pay, and exercise of more than 30 minutes per day, revealing a statistically significant difference according to these variables. In other words, when job stress was high, job embeddedness was less, the extent of work impairment was higher, and in turn perceived productivity was lower. Work impairment was 3.11 times higher in workers with above-average job stress than those with lower job stress. Perceived productivity was 2.31 times higher in workers with above-average job embeddedness than those with lower job embeddedness. The data were collected from questionnaires filled out by 206 nurses. Data collection was performed from March 4 to 22, 2019. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS 25.0 program. As a result of the research, the study model accounted for 66.0% of job embeddedness. The subjects were working in general hospitals over 300 beds in Gwangju area. The 197 data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. Deep acting(r=.290, p<.01) of emotional labor and supervisor support(r=.389, p<.01) and peer support (r=.160, p<.05) of social support were reported positively correlated with job embeddedness. Deep acting(${\beta}=.236$, p<.001) of emotional labor and supervisor support(${\beta}=.319$, p<.001) of social support were reported to have effect on job embeddedness. These findings suggest that in order to promote job embeddedness of clinical nurses, the strategies to improve deep acting of emotional labor and supervisor support of social support should be provided in clinical nursing field.

  • This study is a descriptive research study for clinical nurses to understand the relationship between career anchor, job embeddedness, career motivation and retention intention, and to identify factors that can affect retention intention. A study was conducted between November 1, 2022 and December 30, 2022 with 155 nurses from C and G Regional General Hospitals. Nurses' intention to work was statically correlated with job embeddedness and career motivation. A factor influencing nurses' intention to work was job embeddedness, and the explanatory power of the variable was 25%. We propose repeated studies that diversified the study subjects to identify nurses' career anchor types, which are influencing factors of nurses' job embeddedness, and follow-up studies to develop training and personnel management programs according to career anchor types and verify their effectiveness.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of turnover intention of nursing according to the nurses' practice environments and job embeddedness in medium-to-small sized hospitals. A total of 131 nurses working in a hospital with less than 200 beds, and 145 nurses in a hospital with 200 to 400 beds were included in this study. Data were collected from 10th to 24th of August, 2015 and analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. The results were as follows: (a) Nurses' practice environment and job embeddedness showed no significant differences between the two groups, but there were significant differences of turnover intention between the two groups; (b) turnover intention was negatively correlated with nurses' practice environment and job embeddedness in each group; and (c) in hospital of less than 200beds, the factors of influencing turnover intention were job embeddedness, age and nurses' practice environment. Conversely, in a hospital with 200 to 400 beds, the factors of influencing turnover intention were job embeddedness, pay, and nurses' practice environment. This study suggests that to reduce turnover intention, we have to improve the practice environment of nurses and to enhance job embeddedness for nurses in medium-to-small sized hospitals.
