  • To date, cultural property education has seen rapid quantitative growth due to national and personal needs. However, qualitative growth is lacking. The objectives of cultural property education have not been established, and therefore, even its identity is not clear. The most pressing issue at present in cultural property education is to first set objectives. This study aimed to analyze the objectives of current cultural property education, identify the problems, and set new objectives to meet significant national and personal needs in terms of education. The problems with the objectives of current cultural property education are that the persons interested in the education do not understand the concept of the education objectives clearly and that the objectives do not contain much actual content of the education. Also, the objectives of the education do not take into account the dynamic competencies and interests of the learners and do not satisfy the changes of the times. To solve these problems, new cultural property education, called 'U.V.E.C.,' was offerred. U.V.E.C. education is aimed at understanding cultural properties, recognizing their value, and enjoying them, and at creating culture. The objectives of U.V.E.C. cultural property education were set such that they can be modified flexibly in a learner-centric way with clear and practical format and contents. Based on this direction, stepwise objectives were set including overall objectives, detailed objectives, and practice objectives, and objective cases of each step were proposed. Considering the generality of the education and the distinct characteristics of the cultural properties, the U.V.E.C. education objectives took into account the diversity of behavioral objectives, clearness in statements, the objectives of problem solving, the initiative of learners and openness for expression outcomes. The U.V.E.C. objectives are clear and specific so that teachers can enhance their pedagogical efficiency and learners are able to develop interesting and diversified competencies. In addition, it is expected that the U.V.E.C. objectives will significantly affect objective setting for education on cultural properties which have not been studied widely. Further systemic and specific studies on the contents and methods of the U.V.E.C. education would help to change the overall education on cultural properties and position the field as a new academic area.

  • Urban development-related growth in recent years has become a qualitative growth based on regional identity, rather than a hardware-based growth. For this purpose, strategic approaches to the value of cultural assets of the city are required for competitiveness of the city. In this paper, I seek a model for urban regeneration and regional development through empirical case studies of cultural assets and utilize the 'Seoul Fairy Tale Festival' in terms of strengthening regional competitiveness. By analyzing detailed elements of the 'Seoul Fairy Tale Festival' case, the hardware infrastructure, software and governance structures, diverse contentsware, ecosystem characteristics centered on the humanware, and circular structure was studied. As a feature of cultural assets, combined with the management of physical assets and operations of several programs, was the basis for creating a synergy effect of creating an identity for the region. In addition, it was confirmed the possibility of a regional-rehabilitation type of urban regeneration that is based on the expansion of existing facilities, and a regional-innovation type of urban regeneration that is based on a fusion of characteristics. This analysis is significant in terms of the possibility of large urban regeneration based on cultural assets associated with the festival, as well as physical assets and by combining various governance stakeholders for the festival, it can be concluded that it provided an indigenous virtuous cycle.

  • This paper attempts to analyze the narrative strategy of co-produced transnational romance films, (2007) and (2010). These films were produced during the heyday of Korean wave, the phenomenon Korean popular culture enjoys overseas fandom. Coupling Korean male star with Japanese female star, and dramatizing their romance, the industries attempted to attract the nations' cultural consumers. International co-production has been considered as a mode of production strategic enough to penetrate into neighboring nations. One of the major benefits of international co-production is to cope with 'cultural discount' between nations. Since producers and directors from different cultural background can participate in the creative process and share ideas, they can devise quite strategic form and content to please culturally heterogeneous consumers. Korea and Japan have long been in socio-political conflict, which makes it crucial for these films' cultural producers not to stir spectators' nationalism. In other words, these films' cultural producers had to develop a narrative strategy not to analogize nations' political reality. This paper, therefore, aims to analyze the narrative structure of these films, and to specify narrative strategy in detail.

It has been reported that various Noerok are discovered in Janggimyeon, Pohang. In this study, The Noerok from two places is compared and discussed. Noerok in the two places has blulsh-green to green color, and it is similar to their occurrences on fracture filling, vein and dike on outcrop. However, there are differences between two sites according to its petrological feature, mineral composition and geochemistry. While the Noeseongsan sample is mostly celadonite, Gwangjeongsan samples are characterized by celadonite with varying contents of cristobalite, tridymite, feldspar, along with some vitrified contents. • TV Broadcasting is an undeniable cultural medium. TV Broadcasting Station needs a long-term perspective that suits cultural media and an aggressive cultural and artistic program development strategy that matches rapidly changing culture and technology. Of course, production staff should be composed of experts in the field as well as cultural artists. This paper is researching the promotion strategy of TV Arts programs by substituting the three keywords - the U.S., the public broadcasting station(TV) and Arts programs. And through case studies and analyses of PBS TV's "Art in the 21st Century" series, the way the public TV broadcasting station shares cultural arts with viewers is extracted. It raises the question of how the U.S. TV public broadcaster's cultural and artistic programs are different from South KOREA's. Through the above research, let's find a clue to the future direction of how the new media, now represented as Korea's blacklist, should recognize, foster, educate and strategize Fine Arts.

In addition, it is necessary to conduct optimization and specific research on insufficient areas, such as maintenance and development of programs and signature systems for visitors, and continuous development of historical and cultural network platforms by combining on-site surveys. Basic data should be provided for reference on the street.
