It also seeks to suggest preparatory steps and propose various policies that Korean government could provide, to aid the export process. In order to maximize the Korean media content exposure in the Kenyan market, increased financial support for subtitles and dubbing as well as launching a Korean culture center is suggested. In addition, to encourage more diverse channels to show the Korean content, joint content production between Korea and Kenya should be considered. Moreover, in analyzing the social, cultural, ethnic and local characteristics of the Kenyan people, the paper seeks to identify the most efficient method in which Korean wave could be more widespread in Kenya. Since virtually no prior research papers exist on Kenyan's social and cultural characteristics and their thought process on the Korean media content, this paper seeks to provide valuable insight and policy implications for Korean media policy makers.

  • Launch control system controls the sequence for launching missile in weapon systems. This system have to generate the engagement plan, input information and launch the missile in timeliness requirement. Such a system may fail to operate correctly either due to errors in hardware and software or due to violation of timing constraints. We presented fault-tolerant ethernet for embedded real-time system like launch control system. This approach is designed to handle network faults using dual commercial-off-the-shelf(COTS) network devices. To support fault-tolerant ethernet each node is composed dual channel ethernet and designed the communication middleware for network fault detect and recovery. Especially for time-critical system, the middleware is being developed to achieve that no point of network failure shall take down or cause loss of communication to network nodes.

  • With more emphasis on emotional communication with users in product design field, designers' clear and prompt grasp of user's emotion has become the core activity in product design research. To increase the flexibility applying emotion measurement in the process of product design, this study has used Facial Action Coding System (FACS) of behavioral emotion measurement method in product design evaluation. To select specimens, it has flexibly used the emotional product Image Map. Then this study has selected six product irritants inducing positive, negative and neutral emotions, and conducted FACS experiment with ordinary product users of 20 generations as the experimental subject, and analyzed users' emotional state in response to the irritants through their facial expressions. It also analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of FACS in the process of product design, such as "recording users' unconscious facial expressions" and puts forward some applicable schemes, such as "choosing a product stimulus with high user response". It is expected that this paper can be helpful to the flexibility of FACS as a method to predict user's emotion in advance at the trial stage of product design before launching them to the market.

  • During the last decade, the dominant design of display has been LCD, and it has been led by Korean manufacturers. However, their leading positions has been recently threatened by Chinese manufacturers, Korean manufacturers are endeavoring to move toward next generation display technologies. They embarked on standards battle to win dominant design especially in the next generation display market for TVs by launching new technologies such as Quantum-dot display and OLED. While there are a number of factors of dominant design, it is expected that the technical attributes of the technology itself may be the most significant factor. For this reason, this research scrutinizes consumer preferences for technical attributes, and attempts to provide implications for standards battle in the display (for the TVs) sector. For this purpose, we employed a conjoint analysis for the preferences of potential consumers. The results show that potential consumers prefer displays with higher resolution, natural color, and durabillity.

  • In a fiercely competitive market, brands have become an important foundation for people to choose their products, and brands are also symbols of people's status and strength. Therefore, the importance of brand image design is growing. And color is an expression of emotion and can improve the communication and marketing environment of brand image as an important element of brand image. In this study, Interbrand selected Korea-China TOP 50 brand as a survey target in 2019 and downloaded brand CI from each brand's homepage to data images through Adobe Photoshop program and HSB system, and analyzed the color of the brand. There is no big difference in analyzing the color characteristics of Korean and Chinese brands, and the I.R.I color image scale analysis shows that the overall design of Korean brands is vibrant, elegant and warm to consumers. On the other hand, the overall design of the Chinese brand offers consumers a solemn, modern and sophisticated emotional adjective. Based on the results, this study can provide practical implications for companies to select colors and forms when launching their own brands and developing products.

Such being the case, the companies participating in any of the overseas should maximize the result of their participation in the exhibition by training their staff in the products and foreign languages and through the prior publicity. It has also been found out that "the atmosphere of the booth in the exhibition such as 'launching of new products', 'external appearances of the booth, layout of the interior facilities and the atmosphere and events of the participating companies affect the interest and repeat business deals of the visitors, among the factors for the satisfaction of the visitors. • Small houses are continuously supplied after the alleviated housing act enacted in 2009. This study aimed to conduct a survey among an expert group associated with small house construction, propose problems by discovering difficulties and vulnerable points small and medium-sized construction companies experience while launching construction works as well as factors that impede the safety and housing environment of small houses. Furthermore, it ultimately intends to propose improvements. First, low-priced order is a major cause of unreasonable contract. Most companies were found to have low-priced orders in order to manage order performance. Low bidding and low-priced order are implemented to maintain construction businesses, ultimately threatening the safety environment of buildings. In addition, it is assumed that moderate bid periods and construction periods should be guaranteed. Second, work standardization for small and medium-sized companies is needed due to numerous cases that failed to meet order process. Additionally, regular instruction is required as many employees are not fully aware of relevant contents. Third, the most urgent policy direction turned out avoidance of low-priced bidding and removing insolvent enterprises from the market. Small and medium-sized construction companies that primarily build small houses undergo poor work condition. Therefore, the safety environment of small houses should be enhanced through work standardization and avoiding low-priced order.
