어린이집 조직건강성과 보육교사 이직의도 관계에서 일과 삶의 균형의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effect of Work-Life Balance in the Relationship between Organizational Health of Childcare Centers and Turnover Intention of Childcare Teachers)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the direct effect of organizational health, as perceived by childcare teachers, on their turnover intention, and to examine the mediating effect of work-life balance on the relationship between these two variables. Methods: The subjects of this study were 345 childcare teachers working at 45 childcare centers located in Gyeonggi-do. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and Pearson correlation analysis were performed using SPSS 21.0. Additionally, the mediating effect was verified using the PROCESS Macro, and bootstrapping was performed to confirm the significance of the indirect effect. Results: First, there was a significant negative correlation between the organizational health of childcare centers, the turnover intention of childcare teachers, and their work-life balance. Second, it was found that work-family balance completely mediated the relationship between the organizational health of childcare centers and the turnover intention of childcare teachers, while work-leisure balance and work-growth balance partially mediated the relationship between these two variables. Conclusion/Implications: This study provides essential data for examining ways to lower the turnover intention of childcare teachers by addressing both individual and organizational dimensions.

보육교사의 성인애착이 교사효능감에 미치는 영향: 공감의 매개효과 (The Impact of Childcare Teachers' Adult Attachment on Teacher Efficacy: The Mediating Effect of Empathy)

  • Objective: This study explores the correlation between adult attachment, empathy, and teacher efficacy among childcare teachers. Additionally, it analyzes the mediating effect of empathy on the relationship between adult attachment and teacher efficacy. Methods: The survey, conducted from July to August 2023, involved 198 childcare teachers as participants. Data Analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0 and the Process Macro. Results: First, a significant correlation was identified between childcare teachers' adult attachment (avoidance) and empathy, as well as between adult attachment (avoidance) and teacher efficacy among childcare teachers. Second, the study observed a partial mediating effect of empathy in the relationship between adult attachment (avoidance) and teacher efficacy. In essence, this research confirmed both the direct effect of avoidance attachment in childcare teachers on teacher efficacy and the indirect effect mediated by empathy. Conclusion/Implications: This research affirms the impact of adult attachment and empathy on teacher efficacy among childcare teachers, discussing implications for future training and development.

미취학아동을 둔 취업모 가정의 보육·교육서비스 다중이용에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing the Use of Multiple Childcare for Working Mothers with Preschool Children)

  • This study examined the childcare use pattern of the working mothers with preschool children and the factors affecting their use of multiple childcare. The 7th wave data of "Korea Welfare Panel Study" were analyzed for this study. The working mothers with preschool children were selected from the data set and a total of 292 working mothers were included in the analysis. More than 70% of the working mothers were using only one kind of childcare, mostly childcare center and kindergarten and 22.5% of the mothers were using more than two of childcare arrangements. Child factors, maternal factors, household factors, and economic factors were included in the hierarchical logistic regression model in the presented order to predict the use of multiple childcare. The results showed that the child's age and maternal education were positively related to the use of multiple childcare, while whether both parents live with the child, number of children within household, and the poverty status were negatively related to the use of it. Based on these results, we can confer that the main motive for multiple childcare use is to provide various experiences for their children.

대구 지역 보육전공 대학생의 영양 지식과 식습관 및 식이자기효능감 (Nutritional Knowledge, Dietary Habits and Dietary Self-Efficacy of Childcare Major Students in Daegu)

  • The purpose of this study was to develope nutritional teaching materials and programs for childcare major students by determining interrelations between nutritional knowledge, dietary habits and dietary self-efficacy. Out of 400 questionnaires distributed to the students majoring in childcare in Daegu, 354 were analyzed by SPSS WIN 12.0 program. The results were summarized as follows. Childcare major students' distributions of nutritional knowledge, dietary habits and dietary self-efficacy were approximately all middle levels. Nutritional knowledge scores were influenced by age and self-assessment of health. Childcare major students' dietary habits were influenced by age, the degree of satisfaction of diet, and the degree of interest in diet. Dietary self-efficacy of childcare major students was influenced by gender, satisfaction of diet, whether or not they were on a diet, recognition of the need for nutritional knowledge, and the degree of interest in diet. Nutritional knowledge and dietary habits were positively correlated with dietary self-efficacy of childcare major students. In short, childcare major students with higher nutritional knowledge scores had higher dietary self-efficacy. Further, childcare major students who had a regular diet and balanced dietary habits had stronger dietary self-efficacy.

어머니의 보육지식과 어머니-교사 의사소통과의 관계 (Maternal Knowledge of Childcare and Its Effects on Mother-Teacher Communication)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between maternal knowledge of childcare and mother-teacher communication. The participants consisted of 240 mothers whose children were enrolled at seven childcare centers in Seoul. Respondents were asked to complete a series of questionnaires reporting the important aspects of their childcare, the frequency of mother-teacher communication, and individual characteristics. Information about childcare's structural and procedural characteristics were obtained through interviews with the directors of those centers. The results indicated that mothers only answered 45.5% of questions correctly, and reported a lack of knowledge about childcare services in their respective centers. In particular, mothers didn't have information about caregivers (e.g, education, year of job experience, license, etc). Actual maternal knowledge was significantly correlated with the length of time which mothers were associated with their childcare and the frequency of mother-teacher communication. In addition, there were significant differences in the maternal knowledge regarding childcare services according to mothers' educational level. The results of this study imply that effective parent education programs are needed for mothers who want to enroll their children in childcare centers.

육아 인력 비용이 출산율에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Childcare Workforce Cost on Fertility Rates)

  • 본 연구는 육아 인력 비용이 출산율에 미치는 영향을 국가별로 비교 분석하였다. 북유럽 국가들의 사례에서는 포괄적인 육아 지원 정책과 육아 인력 비용 지원이 출산율에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 동아시아 국가들에서는 높은 육아 부담과 경제적 압박이 출산율 저하의 주요 원인으로 작용하였다. 개발도상국의 경우, 육아 지원 정책의 효과가 사회경제적 맥락에 따라 상이하게 나타났다. 본 연구는 육아 인력 비용이 출산율에 미치는 영향이 국가별로 다양한 양상을 보이며, 효과적인 육아 지원 정책을 위해서는 각국의 상황에 맞는 맞춤형 접근이 필요함을 시사한다. 향후 육아에 대한 사회적 투자 확대와 함께 돌봄의 가치를 존중하는 문화 확산이 요구된다.

보건소 한방육아교실 참여 부모들의 육아 및 한방에 대한 인식 조사 (A Survey on Recognition about Oriental Childcare and Oriental Medicine in Parents Attending in Oriental Childcare Class in Health Center)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this survey is to investigate the recognition of parents' attending oriental childcare class, as a part of an oriental health promotion programs in a health center. Methods: During 2010, 74 parents participated in the pre-survey and 61 parents participated in the post-survey at the Kimpo, Kyeongju and Ganghwa health center. Results: 1. 77% of the participants didn't recognize the existence of Oriental childcare center. 49% of participants were informed by health center. 2. In terms of preferences on oriental versus western medicine, 76% of participants preferred western medicine as compared to the oriental medicine but, some wanted to use both medical treatments 3. Recognition levels in importance of childcare education on post-survey were significantly elevated to the pre-survey(p<0.05), and the childcare education helped parents to breed children better. Participants want to recommend neighbors to participate in childcare class. 4. Levels of common senses about childcare on post-survey were significantly elevated compared to pre-survey(p<0.05), but levels of common senses about oriental childcare were not elevated. 5. 77% of the participants satisfied with the childcare class. Conclusions: The oriental childcare class sessions in health center have helped parents to recognize the importance of childcare education and common senses about childcare.

충청북도 어린이집의 평가인증에 영향을 미치는 특성 분석 (An Analysis of the Characteristics of Accredited Childcare Centers in Chungbuk Province)

  • This study aims to analyze what factors are associated with child care accreditation in Chungbuk province. This study examined three questions about which factors influence the accreditation of childcare centers: 1) if they passed the accreditation criteria, 2) the total score on the accreditation criteria, and 3) the domain scores for the six domains of environment, management, process, interaction and teaching, health and nutrition, and safety. The characteristics of 1,212 childcare centers, the independent variables, were commit management, type, specialized service, maximum capacity of children, registration ratio, target age groups of children, duration, and city size. The formal expert committee evaluated objective scores for 952 childcare centers. I derived the data for this study from the i-sarang Childcare Information Portal site (http://info.childcare. go.kr/). Frequency, descriptive statistics, binary logit model, and OLS model analysis were used to examine the accreditation and scores by factors of childcare centers. The findings of the present study are as follows. First, about 80% of the 1,212 childcare centers in Chungbuk province were accredited. Second, the accreditation of the child care center was affected by the specialized service, registration ratio, and duration. Finally, the total score of accredited childcare centers was associated with the maximum capacity of children, registration ratio, and duration. The factors of childcare centers influencing sub-area scores were different by environment, interaction and teaching, health and nutrition, and safety. The present study is important because it offers preliminary data identifying accreditation characteristics that can judge problems related to the quality of service of childcare centers and suggest childcare policy implications.

직장보육시설 위탁 운영 어린이집 학부모의 만족도에 관한 연구 - 국·공·사립과 위탁·직영 간 차이비교를 중심으로 - (A Study on Parents' Satisfaction of Contracting-Out System in Employer-Supported Childcare Centers - Focused on the Comparison of Difference Between National·Public·Private Childcare Centers and Contracted-Out·In-House Services -)

  • 본 연구는 직장보육시설의 위탁운영형태별 이용 만족도를 도출하는데 목적을 두고 국 공 사립 이용학부모 400명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였는데 전체 연구결과를 종합해보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직장보육요인으로서 위탁 직영 모두 보육 환경, 보육 프로그램, 유아교사의 질인 것으로 나타났으며 이들 보육 운영 요인이 잘 되어 있을수록 시설, 프로그램, 운영, 보육 지도에 대한 만족도가 높아지고 이들 관계의 충족에 따라 직장 보육시설의 이용에 대한 기대감을 높일 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 직장보육시설 운영에 따른 차이비교에서도 규모에 있어 50~74명 규모가 가장 선호되고 직장 내 직접 운영보다 전문보육기관에 위탁이 선호되고 소재지 또한 직장 내 소재를 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 이같은 결과는 최근의 영유아부모들의 맞벌이 추세의 증가에 따라 일반 유치원이나 어린이집보다 직장보육시설에 대한 높은 선호도를 알 수 있으며 이는 대규모 시설보다 50명 내외 중소규모가 선호되고 전문위탁운영기관에 의한 위탁을 통해 보육프로그램, 시설, 양질의 교사 확보 등이 선행될수록 만족도 또한 높아질 수 있음을 시사해주었다.

보육교사의 이직의도에 대한 조직문화와 직무만족도의 영향 (The Effect of Organizational Culture and Job Satisfaction on Childcare Teachers' Intention to Change Jobs)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of organizational culture and childcare teachers' job satisfaction on their intention to change jobs. The participants of this study were 290 childcare teachers from the Busan and Gyeongnam areas. The instruments used in this study were the Organizational Culture Scale (4 factors with 16 items), Childcare Teacher's Job Satisfaction Scale (6 factors with 40 items), and Childcare Teacher's Intention to Change Jobs Scale (1 factor with 7 items). The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson's product moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS ver. 21.0 software. The results were as follows: First, the higher childcare teachers' intention to change jobs, the lower was their monthly income, age, and career level, and the total number of children that they had to serve. Second, there were significant positive correlations between childcare teachers' intention to change jobs and their innovative, collective, and rational organizational culture. Further, there were significant negative correlations between childcare teachers' intention to change jobs and hierarchical organizational culture. and between childcare teachers' intention to change jobs and their job satisfaction. Finally, childcare teachers' intention to change jobs was found to be 46% about job satisfaction and organizational culture and was explained the most by the director's childcare center management. This study primarily suggests that a director's role is important in the lowering of childcare teacher's intention to change jobs.
