  • In this study we consider ${\varphi}$-conformally flat, ${\varphi}$-conharmonically flat, ${\varphi}$-projectively at and ${\varphi}$-concircularly flat Lorentzian ${\alpha}$-Sasakian manifolds. In all cases, we get the manifold will be an ${\eta}$-Einstein manifold.

  • The object of the present paper is to study the invariant submanifolds of (LCS)n-manifolds. We study generalized quasi-conformally semi-parallel and 2-semiparallel invariant submanifolds of (LCS)n-manifolds and showed their existence by a non-trivial example. Among other it is shown that an invariant submanifold of a (LCS)n-manifold is totally geodesic if the second fundamental form is any one of (i) symmetric, (ii) recurrent, (iii) pseudo symmetric, (iv) almost pseudo symmetric and (v) weakly pseudo symmetric.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate 𝜂-Einstein solitons on (𝜀)-Kenmotsu manifolds when the Weyl-conformal curvature tensor satisfies some geometric properties such as being flat, semi-symmetric and Einstein semi-symmetric. Here, we discuss the properties of 𝜂-Einstein solitons on 𝜑-symmetric (𝜀)-Kenmotsu manifolds.

  • In the present paper, we study 𝜂-Ricci solitons on para-Kenmotsu manifolds with Codazzi type of the Ricci tensor. We study 𝜂-Ricci solitons on para-Kenmotsu manifolds with cyclic parallel Ricci tensor. We also study 𝜂-Ricci solitons on 𝜑-conformally semi-symmetric, 𝜑-Ricci symmetric and conformally Ricci semi-symmetric para-Kenmotsu manifolds. Finally, we construct an example of a three-dimensional para-Kenmotsu manifold which admits 𝜂-Ricci solitons.

  • The aim of this article is to examine some types of slant submanifolds of bronze Riemannian manifolds. We introduce hemi-slant submanifolds of a bronze Riemannian manifold. We obtain integrability conditions for the distribution involved in quasi hemi-slant submanifold of a bronze Riemannian manifold. Also, we give some examples about this type submanifolds.

  • This paper deals with the Paneitz-Branson operator in compact Riemannian manifolds with negative Yamabe invariant. We start off by providing a new criterion for the positivity of the Paneitz-Branson operator when the Yamabe invariant of the manifold is negative. Another result stated in this paper is about the existence of a metric on a manifold of dimension 5 such that the Paneitz-Branson operator has multiple negative eigenvalues. Finally, we provide new inequalities related to the upper bound of the mean value of the Q-curvature.

  • Recent developments of S.I. engine, aiming to higher power, better fuel economy, lower air pollution and better driveability, have much focused on the importance of the role of computer simulation in engine research and development. In this point of view, improving engine performance requires finding some means to improve volumetric efficiency. Up to now there have been several attempts to optimize the intake and exhaust system of internal system of S.I. engine by computer simulation. There appear to be few studies available, however, of such simulation & experimental studies applied to the optimization of exhaust manifold configuration. In this study, gas exchange & power process of 4 cylinder S.I. Engine was studies numerically & experimentally, and governing equation of a one-dimensional unsteady compressible flow and combustion process were respectively solved by a characteristics method and 2-zone model. The aim of this study is to predict and investigate the influence of pressure wave interaction at the exhaust systems on engine performance with widely differing exhaust manifold configuration.

  • CNG engine has been used as a transportation because of higher thermal efficiency and lower CO2 and particulate matter. However its out put power is decreased due to cylinder-to-cylinder variation during the supply of air-fuel mixture to the each cylinder. It also causes noise and vibration. So in this study, 1D engine simulation model was validated by comparison with experiment data and 3D CFD simulation was conducted to steady-state flow analysis about each manifold geometry. Then, the effects of various intake manifold geometries on variation were evaluated by using 1D-3D coupling analysis at engine speed of 2100 rpm range in 12 L CNG engine. As a result, variation was improved about 4 % though 3D CFD analysis and there was a variation within 3 % using 1D-3D coupling analysis.
