Recent discussions regarding smart tourism have gained significant momentum in tourism policy and industry; however, knowledge production in this research area remains fragmented and sporadic. This study aims to analyze trends in smart tourism research published in domestic KCI journals up to the end of July 2024 through a systematic literature review, proposing future research tasks to foster academic development. The analysis addresses both the quantitative and qualitative dimensions of smart tourism research, particularly focusing on tourism journals where the terms and concepts are prominent in policy and industry contexts, while also diagnosing the related research paradigms. The findings indicate that the term "smart tourism" began to prominently appear in research titles, topics, keywords, and abstracts as early as 2014. Among the 126 studies analyzed, research related to tourism constituted the largest share, accounting for 30.2%. However, due to the interdisciplinary nature of smart tourism, research has also emerged from various academic fields, including business studies, design, information communication, and computer science. Research on smart tourism has appeared in tourism journals since 2015, predominantly adopting a positivist research paradigm with an emphasis on quantitative methodologies that often utilize surveys. Additionally, the study reveals a pre-paradigm stage within smart tourism research, characterized by insufficient comprehensive conceptual and theoretical development. This stage has also restricted discussions on various ontological, epistemological, methodological, and interpretive issues. The theories mainly employed draw from established behavioral models, such as the Technology Acceptance Model, the Extended Technology Acceptance Model, and the Technology Readiness Model. Based on these findings, the study suggests future research directions for tourism scholars to determine whether smart tourism will solidify as a sustainable research topic or merely be regarded as a transient trend within tourism studies over the next decade.

This study interprets the evolving ideologies of Singapore's urban environmental policies focusing on the meanings encapsulated within the notion of 'garden'. Through a comprehensive review of policy documents, legislative materials, development projects, government promotional materials, and organizational changes in each era, the study identifies three phases, each with distinct central themes. Commencing in the 1960s, the initial phase projected a meticulously controlled and managed cityscape using the notion of garden, which was epitomized by the slogan 'Garden City'. In this phase, garden was a representative concept that embodied the cleanliness and greenness of the city, and also served as a strategic rhetoric to effectively transfer the ideology of an exemplary picturesque city to the public. Subsequently, in the 1970s, the focus gradually shifted from individual green spaces and bodies of water towards a collective system which served as a foundational infrastructure of the city-nation. This evolution was reflected in the new slogan 'City in a Garden', where the garden is now not only summoned for its external appearance but also as an unified system which serves as the cornerstone of the city. Through these phases, the Singaporean government developed a scheme capable of integrated management of green spaces and water resources tailored to the scale and function of each. Building upon this foundation, the early 2000s saw the adoption of a new orientation focusing on sustainability and urban ecology, encapsulated in the revised slogan 'City in Nature'. For more than five decades, Singapore has demonstrated an adept utilization of the notion 'garden'. This scholarly examination underscores Singapore's journey in redefining urban landscapes through the strategic employment of the concept of garden in its urban environmental policies. By tracing the evolution of the garden concept across distinct phases, the study illuminates how the Singaporean government leveraged the garden's versatility: from an effective metaphor of aesthetic values to an integral component of its holistic urban system, and finally to a bridge between the urban and the natural.
The number line model, which intuitively marks numerical magnitudes in space, is widely utilized to help in understanding the magnitudes that fractions and decimals represent. The study analyzed 6th graders' understanding of fractions and decimals, their problem solving strategies, and whether individual differences in the flexibility of various strategy uses are associated with the accuracy of numerical representation, calculation fluency, and overall mathematical achievement. As a result of the study, students showed relatively lower accuracy in representing fractions and decimals on a number line compared to natural numbers, especially for fractions with odd denominators compared to even denominators, and for two-digit decimals compared to three-digit decimals. Regarding strategy use, students primarily used benchmark, segmentation, and approximation strategies for fractions, and benchmark, rounding, and transformation strategies for decimals sequentially. Lastly, as students used various representation strategies for fractions, their accuracy in representing fractions and their overall mathematical achievement scores showed significantly better outcomes. Taken together, we suggest the need for careful instruction on different interpretations of fractions, the place value of decimals, and the meaning of zero in decimal places. Moreover, we discuss instructional methods that integrate the number line model and its diverse representation strategies to enhance students' understanding of fractions and decimals.
By redefining the concept of history, my colleagues and I have reformed our department in terms of curriculum and faculty members. This paper is a report of some of the conclusions that we have obtained from this procedure. Despite a long relationship, two disciplines do not seem to match or complement each other in the Korean education system. We believe that this is due to the fact that the Department of Korean History has focused on "national history (NH)." By conferring a privilege on NH, persons, families, societies, regions, and others were removed from NH. To make matters worse, a biased view that history is just an interpretation has prevailed, and the empiricism of history was weakened, which brought about an indifference in keeping records and archives. In East Asia, "history" means both modern history and archives. The concern about the authenticity of records did not come from H. Jenkinson or L. Duranti, and not even from the electronic environment or the Public Records Act of 1998. Key concepts such as records, documents-archives, manuscripts, authenticity, compilation-appraisal, arrangement, and description are different from their signifiant but are same or similar to their $signifi{\acute{e}}$. In case of "provenance" and "original order," they are used in education and practice in the traditional archives. History includes the recording, archiving, and the story or historiography of an event. In this context, the Department of Korean History should contain a more archives-oriented curriculum and select an archival-trained faculty. On the other hand, the department has accumulated long-term experience with appraisal and description of records; thus, archival science should absorb the criticism of the material. History will be shaken without the help of archives, while archives will lose their root without history. We are at the point in which we need to be reminded why we want to be a historian or an archivist, and for this, the more colleagues, the better.

In this study, we propose the composition of contents on the area of astronomy for high school Earth Science elective courses for the 2022 revised curriculum based on high school students' perceptions of changes in Earth Science core concepts over the curriculum revisions, and analysis of learning elements in the area of astronomy for domestic and foreign Earth Science curriculum. Four Earth Science education experts compared and analyzed the astronomy contents presented in Korea, the US, British Columbia (BC) in Canada, Japan, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) curriculum. According to the survey results, high school students who answered that they were most interested in the core concepts of astronomy expressed a lot of regret that the contents related to astronomical observation were eliminated from the 2015 revised curriculum. As a result of comparing domestic and foreign curriculum, Korea and IBDP curriculum dealt with the largest amount of learning elements in astronomy. In the case of BC in Canada and IBDP, astronomy was offered as an independent subject, and the curriculums of Japan and Korea dealt with astronomy in the Earth Science subject. According to the results, it is necessary to develop general elective courses in Earth Science with astronomy-related contents with high discriminating power in order to strengthen astronomy education. Since astronomy requires background knowledge from various disciplines and inter-disciplinary learning was required, it is necessary to organize the career-related elective courses in Earth Science so that astronomy can be dealt with according to the knowledge structure of general Astronomy. Based on the research results, ways to organize astronomy contents for Earth Science elective courses were suggested.
As population ageing and shrinking accompanied by dramatically expanded individual life expectancy and declining fertility rate is a global phenomenon, ageing becomes its broader perspective of ageing well embedded into sustained health and well-being, and also the fourth industrial revolution speeds up a more robust and inclusive view of smart ageing. While the latest paradigm of SA has gained considerable attention in the midst of sharply surging demand for health and social services and rapidly declining labor force, the definition has been widely and constantly discussed. This research is to constitute a conceptual framework of smart ageing (SA) from systematic literature review and the use of a series of secondary data and Geographical Information Systems(GIS), and to explore its components. The findings indicate that SA is considered to be an innovative approach to ensuring quality of life and protecting dignity, and identifies its constituents. Indeed, the construct of SA elaborates the multidimensional nature of independent living, encompassing three spheres - Aging in Place (AP), Well Aging (WA), and Active Ageing (AA). AP aims at maintaining independence and autonomy, entails safety, comfort, familiarity and emotional attachment, and it values social supports and services. WA assures physical, psycho-social and economic domains of well-being, and it concerns subjective happiness. AA focuses on both social engagement and economic participation. Moreover, the three constructs of SA are underpinned by specific elements (right to housing, income adequacy, health security, social care, and civic engagement) which are interrelated and interconnected.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the achievement standards for grades 3-4 of the 2022 revised science curriculum and identify the goals of science education for grades 3-4 of the 2022 revised curriculum, as well as provide implications for the development of the science textbooks for grades 3-4 and the direction of teaching for teachers in the field. For this purpose, 57 achievement standards of the Science Department 2022 revised curriculum for grades 3-4 were analyzed as to their knowledge dimensions and cognitive processes according to Bloom's Taxonomy of the New Educational Objectives. In cases where an achievement standard is a double sentence or combines two or more knowledge dimensions or cognitive process dimensions, we separated the sentences after having consulted with a group of experts and divided the achievement standards into 57 sentences. We then analyzed the frequency of the categorization of concepts and descriptors by comparing them with the previously studied elementary science standards from the 2015 revised curriculum. The main findings of the study are as follows. First, in the knowledge dimension, the "factual knowledge" accounted for 50 items (86%), compared to "conceptual knowledge" (10%), and "procedural knowledge" (4%), and "metacognitive knowledge" was not analyzed at all. Second, in terms of the cognitive processes, "Understanding" was the highest at 60% with 34 items. It was followed by "applying" with 11%, "creating" with 19%, "evaluating" with 15%, and "analyzing" and "remembering" with 6%. Third, when analyzing the descriptors, "I can explain" was the highest with 9%, followed by "comparison" with 6%, and "practice" and "classification" with 5%. Fourth, compared to the 2015 revised curriculum, "conceptual knowledge" was reduced and "factual knowledge" was overwhelmingly increased. Fifth, in the cognitive process dimension, "understanding,' has increased significantly, while the other cognitive process dimensions have decreased. Conclusions and implications based on these findings are as follows: the focus of the Science Department for grades 3-4 in the 2022 revised curriculum is heavily weighted toward the "factual knowledge," with "understanding" dominating the cognitive process dimensions. As a result, many concepts and applications have been reduced. Based on the results of the comparison of the descriptors with the results of the 2015 revised curriculum, the implications for the development of the science textbooks for grades 3-4 of the 2022 revised curriculum were discussed, and so were the implications of the curriculum for the field.
This research is to the establishment of a conceptual framework that supports road characteristic classification from a new point of view in order to complement of the existing road functional classification and examine of traffic pattern. The road characteristic classification(RCC) is expected to use important performance criteria that produced a policy guidelines for transportation planning and operational management. For this study, the traffic data used the permanent traffic counters(PTCs) located within the national highway between 2002 and 2006. The research has described for a systematic review and assessment of how exploratory factor analysis should be applied from 12 explanatory variables. The optimal number of components and clusters are determined by interpretation of the factor analysis results. As a result, the scenario including all 12 explanatory variables is better than other scenarios. The four components is produced the optimal number of factors. This research made contributions to the understanding of the exploratory factor analysis for the road characteristic classification, further applying the objective input data for various analysis method, such as cluster analysis, regression analysis and discriminant analysis.

‘Korean Highway Bridge Design Code’ provides the spectrum analysis method with response modification factors for the seismic design of typical bridges. However, considering that korean peninsula is classified as moderate seismic regions and domestic circumstances for bridge design and construction are different from other countries, the applicability of this code is not yet proved. Therefore it is required to verify that applying the spectrum analysis method fulfills the no collapse requirement which is set forth as the basic seismic design concept. In this study two typical bridges with T and ${\prod}$ type piers are selected as analysis bridges and seismic designs are carried out by applying the spectrum analysis method with design conditions given for moderate seismic regions. Based on the results obtained through deign procedures, the role of the response modification factors and fulfillment of the no collapse requirement are discussed, from which supplementary provisions for the design code are identified.

In addition, we present some policy directions for implementing and diffusing the Happy Korea-oriented software platform.
