The Impact of the Organization Justice and Executive Characteristics on Job Satisfaction - Focused on the mediating effects of trust - (조직공정성과 경영자특성이 직무만족에 미치는 영향 - 신뢰의 매개효과를 중심으로 -)

  • Setting organization justice and executive characteristics as independent variables, job satisfaction as dependent variable and trust as mediating variable for small and medium enterprise, this study intended to corroboratively identify the mutual impact between independent variables and dependent variables. The study shows that the distribution justice, procedure justice and interaction justice of organization justice wholly have positive(+) impact on job satisfaction and leadership characteristics, impact characteristics and psychological characteristics of executive characteristics wholly have positive(+) impact on job satisfaction, thereby having mediating effects through trust perceived by employees. Namely, if the job efficiency and moment is enhanced by increasing employees' job satisfaction, the productivity of enterprise will be heightened after all and its profitability will be improved in the long run.

  • Many researchers have been explored job satisfaction in various context. Nevertheless, there are no empirical researches on the advertising designers's job satisfaction in Korea. This research is an exploratory examination regarding Korean advertising designers's organizational behaviour. In general, job satisfaction is determined by two major factors; personal and organizational factor. This research shows that korean advertising designers's job satisfaction is mainly determined by the organizational factor such as payment and promotion. Promotion was particularly significant amongst them and recognition also proved to be influential. Synthetically, the determining factors of advertising designers's job satisfaction consists of several predictors such as payment, promotion, and human relationships. This result may gives an assumption that the agencies have not provided designers with specialized evaluation system reflecting designers' job characteristics. Thesis concludes that agencies need to set a new evaluation and payment systems in order to elevate designers' job satisfaction in organization.

  • The automobile industry has been rapidly developing and the manufacturers in Korea as well as auto makers in other advanced countries are putting every ounce of their energies in securing their competitive edges in technology and in marketing. To that purpose, each company focuses on (i) reducing costs and (ii) improving productivity. We believe that the improved productivity can be capitalized by a set of various factors including improved organization-internal environment and employees' job satisfaction. The present research aims to identify how the internal elements contribute and lead to improved productivity. The present paper is a report of an empirical survey performed to 161 employees working in small and medium-sized firms in the automobile industry. After testing reliability and validity of the collected data, we have performed structural equation analysis using Amos of SPSS and tested a set of research hypotheses and models. The reported results will clarify the factors that influence productivity and job satisfaction and also shed light on the directions for strategic polices to keep up with the ever changing climate of the industry.

  • The objective of the present study lied in providing empirical analysis over subjects of revenue officers targeted for suggesting effective managerial way for enhanced job productivity by using team commitment as a mediator in the correlation between trust and job productivity. As a result, it was identified that organizational trust, trust in superiors and trust to colleagues perceived by revenue officers have positive effects on team commitment, while the higher team commitment leads to higher job productivity, accordingly leading to better efficiency in carrying out tax-related administration and improving the level of satisfaction as for tax payers. It demonstrated that managers in tax-related organizations must create the foundation affordable for revenue officers to be widely exposed to participate in organization-related key decision-making processes in such a way that encourages and initiates them to have stronger loyalty and self-confidence based on common identity. Furthermore, much effort shall be continuously paid in designing personnel and organizational management policies in order for them to have faithfulness and adherence to their belonged organization.

Effect of Environmentally Friendly Management Activities of SMEs on Job Improvement (중소 제조업체의 친환경적 경영활동이 직무향상에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is an empirical study on the effect of eco-friendly management activities of small and medium-sized manufacturers on job improvement. The summary of the analysis results is as follows. first. Among the eco-friendly management activities of SMEs, it was analyzed that social activities did not have a statistically significant effect on job improvement, and second. Environmental activities were found to have a significant effect on work productivity with 𝛽= .394 (p<.001), and job satisfaction showed a low causal relationship with 𝛽=.216, p<.05, and third. Economic management activities were found to have a significant effect on job satisfaction, with 𝛽= .388 (p<.001). In addition, a low causal relationship was confirmed with 𝛽= .267 (p<.01) in work productivity. Therefore, among the effects on job improvement, it was found that environmental activities affect job productivity and economic management activities affect job satisfaction. This study is meaningful in creating an environment for SMEs' eco-friendly management activities, presenting competitive strategic directions, and providing basic data for research.

  • 본 연구는 내부조직관계에서 대인신뢰를 구성원들의 상대방(부하, 동료, 상사)에 대한 능력, 상호 믿음과 지원에 기반을 두는 것으로 정의하고, 조직구성원들의 협력적 관계는 조직결과의 향상을 가져올 수 있다는 것을 가정하여, 대인간의 신뢰가 조직생산성의 향상에도 영향을 미치는지를 확인하고자 한다. 연구결과에 따르면 직무수행에 관련한 의사결정에 참여도와 성과의 피드백만족도 그리고 개방적 의사 전달에 대한 만족도가 높을수록 업무생산성이 높아진다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 특히 대인신뢰에 기반을 둔 행정조직은 또 다른 관리적 도전인 문화적 다양성의 증대와 고객기대의 충족에 대처하게 되므로, 상사와 부하간의 대인신뢰를 구축하는 것은 구성원의 직무생산성을 증대시키고 조직몰입을 강화시킬 수 있는 원동력이 된다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • It is generally defined that the trust between members are relayed on the belief of ability and support. The purpose of this study is to make sure that participative decision making effects on productivity of group based on that cooperative relationship could bring the productive improvement. As the results, we could figure out that satisfiable rate of performance feedback and open communication are related with the productivity Especially, an administrative group based on the mutual trust, can meet the level of customer's satisfaction and cultural multiplicity. Setting up the mutual trust is to maximize the ability of members and to derive the motivation of working concentration.

Job Analysis of Container Crane Operators by the DACUM Method (데이컴 방법에 의한 컨테이너크레인 운전자 직무분석)

  • There have been problems regarding decreased productivity and inherent safety risks due to apprentice facility operators receiving training without a standardized education system, especially for container crane operators. This study aims to propose alternatives to educate and manage container crane operators systematically in accordance with a job analysis. The Job analysis was professional panels and a Developing A Curriculum(DACUM) facilitator. The job description on the DACUM research chart for container crane operators contained 6 duties and 42 tasks. We surveyed problems with the existing education process for container crane operators; performed job analysis according to DACUM based on the survey results, and finally developed job description, education courseware and a summary table.

  • Job satisfaction can affect not only physical and mental health in an individual's life but also productivity and job performance in an organzational setting. This study investigate the level of the academic librarians' job satisfaction in Korea. As the results of this investigation, the librarian or the university administrator and futhermore the government autorities must attempt to know of needs of academic librarians to improve of job satisfaction. Consequence of this study is conducive to the establishment of the academic librarians's personnel management and the advancement of academic library in Korea.

  • This study is to develop a job model through job analysis on port security operation using a DACUM Method. Total 8 duties and 59 tasks are drawn through job analysis on port security operation. DACUM committee evaluated the degree of importance, difficulty and frequency of execution by each work with ABC rankings. In dosing so, job analysis model on port security operation by completing a DACUM research chart including job, duty and task in the field of port security operation is concluded. Such a Job model development could be used as a basic data and information for developing a short and long-run education programme in the field of port security operation.
